Bought a used ford taurus. Knew it would be as-is, did not know the car was rejected for cert until I pointed it out to the salesmen, who said he wasnt aware either. Dealership mechanic assured me it was just the power steering pump. I stupidly took the advice given how cheap the car was and the relative cheapness of the part. Three days later, the car is in a shop with completely non-working headlights, broken actuator, broken oil delivery system, an upside down camera, an unidentified collection of some sort of moisture, and...the power steering pump.

I decided to use Haley Toyota to service my 4Runner that I purchased from Shelor because it was closer to where I live and it’s a Toyota dealer so in my mind this would be perfect. I was wrong. I am not a customer and after today’s experience I never will be. I needed some light servicing. I had a small crack in a rear tail light and I also needed the back tailgate cover replaced which was my urgent need because it kept falling down. After waiting 2 weeks for an appointment I get a call from the service department and they tell me that they have to order parts and nothing would be fixed today. If the rep that booked my appointment would have said something, I would have brought the car by in advance of the appointment to see what parts needed to be ordered. We had a whole in-depth conversation about what work I needed done, but for what? It was a total waste of my time and I will take it to Shelor to fix because of their incompetence. Not to mention the customer service rep was not helpful at all, and wanted to argue about it which I am just not going to do.

Our salesman, Wayne, was great!! The only time we could come in was after work at 5:30, and he was more than welcome to stay after to help us find the perfect car for us! After we had already paid and got the keys (which was well after closing at 7), he still took the time to sit down with us and show us all the cars features. He was great to work with and very patient with us!! The facility was great and very clean, and everyone we worked with (Matthew & Barbara) we’re super helpful and kind!

BJ was amazing to work with and made the daunting time at a car dealership effortless and painless! I found my dream car and he made me feel totally comfortable. This was my first car purchase on my own and he made sure that I understood everything that the process entailed. I not only recommend this dealership but I highly recommend BJ. Other car dealerships tried to take advantage of the fact that I was new to the car buying process but they constantly asked if I had questions and had no problem answer then. They know their cars! I recently came in for service and I kinda miss the door while exiting. The service manager made feel so awful for my accident. He yelled at me and made feel an inch tall. I didn’t mean to hit the wall I am old. I forgive him. Only because his super sweet sweetheart of a stepson Jordan was so nice to me. He said he could fix my car with winky eye. Not sure what that means though.

Bug your first car sales order taker laughingly told me ” I don’t know why I come to work we’ve sold everything we are so busy”. Second my an took my order but never followed they w updates. I give the dealership a 3 because I had an amazing salesman (Matt), but the finance person almost lost this sale. Matt is the only reason I decided to finalize the purchase, he worked with me to get me the exact vehicle I was looking for. The finance manager is another story....I have never felt so much pressure, almost to the point of being aggressive, on my decisions to not finance through Toyota and to not get an extended warranty. He couldnt offer me a better rate, he wouldnt give me the military discount I was originally quoted because I wouldnt finance through Toyota, he was rude enough to even ask me WHY when I refused the extended warranty. I was hesitant to write this review, but then I saw where others had the same issue. Clearly, it should be addressed by the dealership.

Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff, I always feel that I’m taking my Toyota to the best place that gets the best care available. I’m up front with what I would like done and always listen to the professionals who work there, after all, working on Toyota’s is what they do for a living. I’ve never felt misled. Also, the showroom is spacious, well lit, comfortable waiting area with WiFi, clean restrooms and a nice snack area.

Do not deal with them. I was quoted a price over the phone, put down a deposit and came in to do the paperwork. They changed the price by $9,000 on the car and would not sell it to me for what was quoted in writing and took money!

A very competent and energetic saleswoman lost a sale because of the indifference of her finance manager. Wed decided on a price, I had checkbook in hand to put a deposit down on the vehicle...but then came the out-dated and old fashioned, let me talk to my manager routine. Now, I couldve put up with that had the manager been remotely interested in making a sale. $1,000 separated us on a cash deal. But instead of having a seat and having a truthful conversation, he walked away giving the saleswoman instructions to take my information. Yeah...I wont be back.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I inquired about a used vehicle they had for sale online. I was looking to see if still available and get a couple interior pictures. There email response was “given how far away you are this car isn’t for you”. Contacted the general sales manager and it was no better. I thought he would want to know how his salespeople respond to internet/online customers. Nope he could careless. His response so do you wanna buy a car or just complain. How they determined how far away I am I have no idea. This must be a family run dealership because there’s no way this would fly anywhere else. Hopefully this will reach the GM and/or owner.

Bought my car a little over a year ago, i still love it, when i purchased the car salesman was quick i was in and out in about a hour everything went well, until a couple of months later, Now to say this i’m writing this review this late because i’m busy most of the time and i’ve forgotten about it till now, But in March i later found out Haley Toyota Put close to $5000 worth of dealership warranties on my Vehicle that i never asked for, i only found out because i know dealerships are sneaky so i decided to call the finance department and ask if i did have dealership warranties on my vehicle and he named a couple, !! Which is highly illegal !! i would just love to know how many people they have done this too, So if you have bought a car here or plan on buying one i say with a warning to check to make sure they haven’t done this to you! WATCH OUT!!! and to drive past this place!! Finance guys and salesman have a way of hiding things just for extra money on there check

Just left service department and I was very disappointed. Ill start with my last visit. I had a small leak in the tire and I ask the person on the front desk to check and he said there wasnt a leak. Come to find out there was a leak in the tire and I had to get it plug. Now, this visit, I had a flat tire and I was told I had to get two tires since my vehicle is all wheel drive which was understandable. Beside the fact it cost an arm and leg for two tires because it was (non-flat tires), they didnt even have the right tire pressure in one of the tires. Which the tire pressure gauge stayed on until I added more air. I was also missing a tire stem cover and for the cost I would think they would put it on there. I would think it would come with the cost of the repair and labor at least thats what a good dealership would do.

Bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado with 68k mikes on 20 Sep 2020. Just over a month and right about 1000 miles later the engine blew. The ONE time we did NOT buy the extended warranty. My wife and I placed several calls to Haley to see if they would make any effort to do anything. Now two weeks later NO return calls whatsoever, not even the courtesy to say that there was nothing they would or could do. Over the last 7 years we have done over $80k business with Haley, but no more. Stay away from this STEALERSHIP. Thinking about painting a big lemon on this truck and parking it on road in front of their STEALERSHIP!

After towing ($166) my car to Firestone, after paying Firestone to fix my car ($90), paying for a rental car during the duration my car was at Firestone ($400) to eventually Firestone telling me that they cant fix my car and that only Toyota can, I had my 2012 Rav4 with 80k miles on it towed to Haley Toyota. They gave me a new loaner car (for $35 a day for 6 days--a better deal than before thankfully) for time for Toyota to fix my car. I was told to fix the EVAP issue itd only be $140, and since $140 is affordable, I agreed to have the other suggestions of having my brakes replaced and AC flushed bringing my total WAY UP, but I thought those two items were important--so lets do it. I was told today that my car was fixed including my brakes, an AC flushing, and the main EVAP concern, so I drove 40 minutes to the dealership, paid over $1k ($1080) assuming my car was fixed. I got in my car, turned my car on only to see the dashboard lights were still on. Furious, I expected a full refund as the problem was obviously not fixed yet. Thankfully the assistant manager came out to explain why the dashboard lights might be on and that theyll keep my car longer to figure out why. His explanation made the situation ok...kind of...I guess. I explained to him what a huge inconvenience this particular situation was for me as I work full-time and am in school full-time (and I should be studying during this wasted time). Wasting my time driving to and from the dealership and dealing with the situation at the dealership was a horrible use of my little study time (which the rental car lady [initials DC] didnt care AT ALL about and made perfectly clear with her disrespectful comments to me). I will only do business with her (initials DC) with a manager present in the future or not. at. all. I hope next time I get a call from Toyota that my car is fixed, that it actually is. I am very disappointed in the entire process and customer service of the car loaner lady (initials DC) (with the exception of the low cost of the loaner car and Brandi who is very kind and texts me updates from the technicians). I am very concerned now about how much more money will be charged to fix the problem. I may not have agreed to proceed with fixing the recommendations described above if the EVAP ultimately ends up costing a lot more. I hope my trust in Toyota can be redeemed especially since I bought a Toyota for their excellent reputation ....or maybe Ill just take my car to a different Haley Toyota dealership. Well see how this plays out.Update: Toyota ended up replacing a part to fix the initial EVAP concern that still existed after the first call that my car was fixed. They did not charge for this or the extra 2 days for the loaner vehicle. I feel better about the situation as I think Toyota tried to make it right.

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told by the service check in attendant that my car had to have synthetic (not true, its preferred but not necessary) would be $65 (was fine with that) and the tire rotation was $49 (!!!). Since this was before the service was performed, I said the rotation cost was really high. No explanation that it was for balance and rotation just that was the price of a tire rotation there. I learned 2 days later just a rotation was $20. BE VERY CAREFUL GETTING SERVICE AT HALEY TOYOTA. THEY WILL TRY TO UPCHARGE YOU WITHOUT EXPLANATION. They LOST a new customer and possible future purchase. I had planned walking the lot while waiting for the service. My father and brother purchases from Haley Toyota often. Family referred me there. Haley may have lost their business, too. Before I get a reply about emailing a manger, just fwd this message to them. My appt was 4/29/21 @ 1130am.

Today I had the pleasure of working with RJ in the service center. I needed help to get an issue resolved before leaving to go out of town tomorrow. RJ was kind, polite, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He went above and beyond to help me to make sure my car was safe for my trip, not to mention had me in and out in no time. His caring attitude is one of the reasons I will continue to go back to Haley Toyota of Roanoke. Called and talked to sales manager Ricky about 4wd pickup. He told me what he had and I was to ask g or him next day. Came t o dealership and was greeted by a salesman. Told him what I was told and he decides to help me.I could tell he didnt think i was going to purchase a vehicle as i dont wear suits and ties. I look at the ones they had and when I asked to test drive one he acted like I wasnt supposed to do that. He was hesitant about it and I told him I wanted to see how it ran compared to the one I had. He asked what I had and I told him same type truck just older version. His response was that they ran the same. I told him mine had a smaller v6 and different size tires he still stated they would be the same.Now I said thank you for your time and I said I would go somewhere else and see what they had. He changed his attitude then and as I was walking off again he started something off and I just told him what I thought. He comes toward me and gets up in my face as if he was going to hit me. Words were exchanged and I left.I have not called the manager and told him what happened since they are always the ones in the right.Now I am at Shelor Toyota buying a brand new truck. Maybe it was meant to be that way.I doubt they care and I know the salesman didnt care that I went somewhere else because of the way he acted.I think it was a religious difference (he thought he was God and I knew damn well he wasnt).

We did business here because Hayley Toyota and Chuck Baker are such strong supporters of the Roanoke Kiwanis Club. That is impressive. And, we were delighted to work with a salesman for our 2021 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium who was so personable; he was one of the nicest people. We were a bit surprised at a couple aspects of the buying process: we were presented a purchase contract to sign without being asked about vehicle options and accessories (we had to bring it up), we were asked to sign a subsequent purchase contract that failed to include a $750 discount that was included in the previous version (we had to flag the error), and we were asked to take delivery of our vehicle before the dealer had installed several of the ordered options and accessories (they waited to arrange for these until the vehicle arrived at the dealership instead of ordering them at the time of sale).

This review has different parts: the dealership itself and the sales staff.Sales: my husband I worked with W.J. Altizer to buy a vehicle. Not only was he very friendly, he was very knowledgeable and was quick to get us taken care of. He also made sure to go above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of with as little inconvenience as possible. I was not able to take the car home same day because of some repairs that needed to be made, but he was very communicative and kept us constantly updated. 10/10, would recommend.Dealership/Body Shop: dealership was clean, everyone was wearing masks and socially distancing. Body shop was as quick as they could be (despite the holiday delays and having to order parts) and work was done well (included painting and refurbishing the bumpers).Overall, a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend.

Bought a new Camry here 5 yrs ago and have regretted it from the start. We love the car and we got a good deal. But, every single visit to the service department has been a headache. For starters they constantly recommend services that are costly and unnecessary. Then they become passive aggressive with you when you refuse them. They wanted $1200 for a set of new tires. I bought the same tires at a tire store across town for $600. They wanted $300 to replace the battery that is giving no trouble whatsoever.They seem to think that all of their customers are sheeple that will do anything that they say.And they dont respond well when the customer doesnt allow themselves to be fleeced. It is highly doubtful that we will ever purchase another car from this dealership. At it certainly wont be one that has to be serviced here.

When buying a used car, make sure to do your own Carfax report. These guys produce fraudulent Carfax reports with their used vehicles. Bought a used vehicle from them, took it to a trusted mechanic due to transmission issues that Haley refused to fix, and my mechanic ran their own Carfax report out of courtesy. The Carfax report my mechanic got was completely different than what Haley provided and showed accidents, which Haleys report conveniently excluded. In the end, Haley knew they lied and paid to fix the transmission issue, but be warned. It may not be the whole company, but they have shady dealers...

This rating is a 1 because of a windshield wiper. That was purchased in September at Haley ToyotaOne of the wipers broke and when they replaced it.It left marks on my windshield. And Patti asked me what are you trying to do get a new wiper that was not my intention, I didnt want the wipers leaving marks on my windshield. The way she spoke to me and her manager was very disturbing. Me and my husband has purchased 4 brand new cars from HaleyAnd never experienced anyone there that was so unprofessional. This has put a distaste for me ever purchasing another vehicleat Haley. I would like to thank the 2 gentlemen in parts that tried to solve the problem.

Use caution!! My wife made an appointment and was quoted a price over the phone for a refurbished radio/touchscreen install. Got there, and after waiting over 2 hours for a diagnostic, was told it was gonna cost more than TWICE the quoted amount. Strongly felt I was scammed into bringing my truck in so they could do their free multi-point check in an attempt to get me to pay for other services. What a waste of time/money. Love my Toyota, very disappointed in the service.

Friendly customer service reps and nice lounge area. If you have service scheduled, be prepare to wait. I spent almost two hours waiting for an oil change and tire rotation even with an appointment. It is great that this dealership is so busy, but a more accurate wait time would be helpful, especially if you are waiting there for your vehicle.

After my car was totaled I worked with salesmen W.J. and B.J. here. They both put in 100% into helping me find what matched my needs and interest. They didnt pressure me, answered all of my questions, were professional, personal and made me a great deal on a very nice vehicle. I was very satisfied with my experience and recommend both of these guys to someone looking for a vehicle.And side note, I have had 2 Corollas, a 1992 that got to 291,000 milds and a 2010 that was running great before Bambi paid us a visit, was at 124,000 miles and hadnt had needed any work outside of regular maintenance. Both got good gas mileage and parts were affordable.Toyota is the most solid brand hands down. I got a large percentage of my money back for my 10yr old pretty well kept 2010 after it was totaled because they hold their value more than any other brand. If you want a practical and reliable vehicle Toyota is the best.

Haley Toyota has kept my Lexus IS running smoothly for a decade now. I appreciate the detailed report of all the systems, confidence in the mechanics, and the friendly efficient team that manages the service. Patty schedules repair and van service and greets me with a big smile for check in/out:, if she is backed up, someone else on the team assists. The van service to and from work made it easy to get my car serviced and Lamont’s friendly personality made it a relaxing interlude.

Your Service Department needs a revamp.Heres the story. I needed a part. Called and spoke to the Parts Department, in which they gave me a price estimate of both the part and labor required; he also said they needed to order the part and should arrive in a few days because they didnt have any in stock at the moment. Cool, I was transferred to the Service Department and I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. Enough time for the part to be ordered, shipped, etc. A few days before the appointment, I called to reschedule to a date that was only 3 days away from the original appointment due to work. Heres where it gets twisted: During the rescheduling, Service Department informed me that I need to pay for the part before they can order it and had the nerve to say, We told you the first time, which they didnt or I wouldnt have made the appointment weeks away. Then I ask, Will the part even be there in time for the appointment? Because I remember the parts department telling me that it takes a few days. After being placed on hold for a few minutes I was quickly told by some woman, After you pay it, the part should arrive the next day.I didnt like those odds or her tone of voice. Not only did it go against what I was originally told from the Parts Department, but how sure are they that the part will be there in time for the appointment. I know theyre a legitimate company, but it was too suspicious and a potential disaster waiting to happen if the part isnt there after I paid for it. In the end, I politely cancelled my first and only appointment.

Hate leaving negative reviews. Had an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. Appointment was at 2. Arrived 15 mins early and didnt leave until almost 4. Second time Ive had this happen. Mary in service is great, though.

I had a great experience when buying my 2016 Kia Sorento back in February.. until Sunday when my car wouldn’t start and I had to get it jumped twice. I went down to their service station to get my battery checked and it was not the friendliest service. I was contacted and told the cell in my battery had gone dry and would need to replace the battery in which would cost almost $400 and that wasn’t including labor. The replacement of a battery isn’t included in my extended warranty. I decided to just go buy one for $200 from autozone and replace it myself. I’ve only had the car for 6 months and it was very disheartening to have to change the battery after such a short time of having the car.

My wife and I just purchased a 2018 Nissan Titan last week. Just love the truck; though i have to say...worst car buying experience ever. Wasnt going to leave a review but had an after-sale experience that was icing to the cake. Imagine being told by salesman before you drive off with a 40k vehicle, oh, as far as the blinkers, just call me later during the week and Ill take care of it then you call and he says, youll have to take that up with service department. Im just a salesmanNow back to sale experience...ounce we decided on car, we were told we would meet with sales manager to negotiate payments and or price. We were escorted to a lounge area and told it would be 15 minutes before we would sit with manager. 15 minutes turned to an hour and had I not set out to look for salesman, it could have gone longer.So he sits us down with finance manager who begins setting out docs for us to sign at the original price giving to us by salesman. No negotiations on the table. We were just about ready to walk out but then finance manager finally agreed to lower price to get monthly payments closer to where we wanted to be. This was after insulting our intelligence by saying they lowered price to point where they were actually losing money on the deal.We wanted and needed the truck so we didnt push it to the limit and agreed to terms.Now we have a quick blinker blinking truck that I have to make arrangements to get looked at at Haleys convenience.In summary...so many dealerships in the area folks...wink, wink!

This location has horrible customer service. I spoke with a salesman only to be rushed off the phone. I felt rushed so i asked him his name only to receive the DIAL TONE. I called back to speak with a manager and i was put in contact with another sales agent. The next agent who was the internet sales manager claims he had no idea who that was but was next to him while i asked him a question. How did i know they were next to each other because he told the sales agent to tell me to check my email. If the salesman was that comfortable with being unprofessional that tells me it has to start from the top, so u all shouldnt expect anything from the management. Ill keep my 50k in my pocket. This was the vehicle i ultimately wanted but this particular dealership will not receive my hard earned money. I advise you to find another dealership thats caring and helpful.

Bad service experiences such as Haleys service department has provided make me wish I could leave zero stars. Trying to get a repair approved under a Toyota service plan shouldnt be this painful. The dealership service department doesnt advocate for the customer at all requiring you to play middleman between the Toyota dealership service department & the Toyota service plan department (wherever that is) for something that clearly isnt a regular maintenance issue and should be covered under the plan. And good luck getting to speak to a live person when you call or getting anyone to return a voicemail in a timely manner.

We ended up purchasing a vehicle from Haleys but if we could have been able to go to another Toyota dealership we would have. On their website they offer the same deals that Toyota offers such as the military discount but when you go in and start doing the paperwork for the vehicle they will say that you no longer qualify for the discount because they changed the rules. I was literally reading the fine print advertised on their website and the sales team said no that isnt the deal anymore. I filled out the post sales survey and said I was unhappy about the experience and someone from Haleys contacted me asking for me to tell her what happened so she could make it right. Well I emailed her back over a week and a half ago and never heard back. It was all very disingenuous.Update as of September 16th: I appreciated the general manager, Chuck Baker, replying to my review with his contact information and asking me to contact him. I emailed him about a week and a half ago and havent heard anything. It seems he just wanted to give the appearance that Toyota cares.
