We were 300 miles from home when an engine light came on that required immediate attention so we wouldn’t damage the engine. We called the closest dealership to see if they could look at the car for us. They said come right in and we will get the situation assessed quickly. The service person and mechanic were so informative throughout the process. They determined our coolant was low and no other issues. Within the hour we were back on the road at no cost. What a great experience.

Horrible. I felt completely cheated. After spending close to $ 8500.00, with in 2 hours the check engine light came on. AfterAfter given an appointment 1 week later, more issues werePresented along with a commitment that the technician will callMe by evening. So far it has been 2 weeks no word yet.Please avoid this dealership and the repair shop. OrGet ready to be looted and cheated.

I scheduled an appointment to have my state inspection today. The staff were very cordial and timely in completing their work. Given the high volume of cars to be serviced, BMW staff washed my car to the extent that I thought it was new. I am truly impressed by the BMW Roanoke. They are MY FIRST CHOICE!!!

My car had a code red dash warning as I was driving through the area so I made a bee line to Roanoke BMW to get it checked out. Garrette greeted me and got the car almost immediately to a technician as I was driving to a work engagement 2j down the road. A simple repair and I was on my way again in less than 30 minutes!! Score one for small town attention to customer service! This was absolutely a 5 star experience!

I recently purchased a new car from BMW Roanoke, and I could not have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Mike, Matt, Starr, Marin and the rest of the team were focused on providing great customer service. They were honest, thoughtful, and clearly focused on having a happy customer, not just making a sale. I had a new car built, and they truly went above and beyond to get me the car that I wanted and made sure everything was perfect. On top of that, their pricing was extremely competitive, and they put a free 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty on every new car sold. This was a huge bonus! I could never have imagined such a positive experience, and I would recommend them without hesitation. They are a model for customer service and do business the right way. I look forward to working with them in the future.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!!Purchased a 2021 BMW X3 M40i from them on 5/29/21. It is now 10/29/21 and my car still doesnt have a permanent license plate. After being understanding for the first 4 and a half months and being passed through 4 different points of contact, I was told today that they were finally able to send my title app to the DMV. When I asked what happened for the past 4.5 months, they got rude with me and tried to pin the negligence on me. They sent me forms to just sign that already had information filled in, but they are stating that the delay was on my end due to the form having improper info.... All I did was sign what they told me..... They then tried to pin the delay on a DMV hold that arose, again, from their negligence. They did not properly report to the DMV that the trade in vehicle was in their possession and because of the delay in transferring my plate, the dmv placed a hold. This was made aware to me last week and I cleared it up within 3 business days (time DMV needed to process it). They are saying their hands are tied by a third party service that I had no option in picking..... Clearly customer service is nowhere near the price range of vehicle they are selling. A VA Attorney General complaint and BBB complaint has been logged against this company.

David and his staff in the Service Department provided an above and beyond high level of service under difficult circumstances with little notice on a Friday afternoon. They were able to obtain the needed parts and repair my M850 quickly . I was vacationing at the Greenbrier for only a couple of days and David made sure to turn my car around so it could be brought in via flatbed tow truck Saturday morning and returned to me via the same truck later the same day. I am truly grateful under these circumstances to have found someone like David and a dealership in BMW of Roanoke that provides this level of service. Thank you!

The mechanics are trained and its great to have my car running smoothly with service technicians who are trained to work on my car. No returns to the shop to fix things for a second time (such a relief) because the technicians did not know what they were doing in the first place. I had some recalls on my car and one issue that was under warranty. My warranty was close to being up on mileage and years. I called the Lynchburg BMW and they wouldn’t even return my cal about repairing my recalls and the issue that was under warranty. Then I called The Roanoke BMW and they called me back within an hour and was very helpful in getting my car in the shop as soon as possible to make sure it got fixed before the warranty was up. Then when I went to the dealership to drop off my car they were very professional and helpful in letting me know what to expect about whether or not the company would cover the expense under the warranty: I got a call back by noon the next day saying they BMW covered the repair under the warranty and both recalls were repaired snd my car was ready for pickup and there would be no charge for the work they completed on my vehicle: This was amazing because they quoted the repair to be a $1500. I really appreciate that the staff was so professional and willing to help and upfront about the cost of it was not something that BMW agreed to cover under the warranty. Also upon picking up my vehicle everything is fixed and it’s running amazing so I am very happy with the work they did and will be taking my car back to the Roanoke Bmw for any future repairs that are needed to be done at the dealership.

Everything started out well. I forgot to get a copy of estimate for services and that’s where things got off track. I called to get, no return call, had to call again. It felt it was like pulling teeth to get, stopped all service till I heard back. I get your busy, I get your short staffed …. But communication in customer service is essential! The actual service to the car was great. It all turned out okay but Communication is key!

My local BMW dealership has changed hands several times since I’ve owned BMWs. The last owner was really good so I was skeptical when I heard it had been sold again; however, I have to say I’ve been extremely pleased with the current ownership, both on the sales and the service sides. The service has been excellent and it may sound trite but it feels as though this dealership actually CARES about its customers. Considering the total lack of customer service in most businesses these days, this one is like a breath of fresh air!

This review is about the receptionist at BMW. Roanoke. I own a 535i and i lost power while driving from HWY 77 onto HWY 81 on Saturday. I was lucky to cross over the lane and onto the shoulder while coasting. I am not from this area and reached out to BMW for help. The receptionist said their service department was closed on Saturday. I explained my situation, sitting on the side of the HWY, car shut down & not from the area- could she or someone else in sales refer me to another auto service to help me out. Her response was to have my car towed there and have it looked at on Monday... but I would have to get a 3rd party to tow my car because they don’t do that.I passed the phone to the passenger in the car with me because I was so upset. The other passenger asked another set of questions - and again, the receptionist was unhelpful.

Horrible Experience. Had work done on vehicle - oil change and evaluation. The service department gave me the key back with oil all over the key. I went back to complain and was told that they would clean the key. Service manager gave me key back with key emblem missing and stated that would not honor any issues if the key didn’t work going forward. Sales manager stated that this BMW is not equipped to handle cars that older and that techs at this BMW are not trained on older BMWs and that we should take our 2006 BMW down the street to get fixed for cheaper. Don’t take your car there basically if it’s 2010 or older per sales manager. Ok - that’s our plan - suggest this for anyone else.

I didn’t really like BMW Roanoke. I went by with a friend to help them check out a car. The salesperson watched us but didn’t approach, I had to say hello to them first. The salesperson was apparently interested in what country my friend was from, they asked me “Is he from China?” Not sure why it matters where he’s from. They went on about my ability to speak Mandarin Chinese a little too long, you should just leave it at something like “You speak Mandarin? That’s awesome.”My friend inquired about the safety of one of the cars, we were told “I’ll email you some information.” That’s bad. I didn’t even read it, trashed it as soon as I received it. Everyone here should know sales is about transferring enthusiasm. You have to share your stories, results and your experiences to build credibility with your customer.(and also gain momentum) A message on a screen simply cannot replace that.

My wife and I were recently in the market for a new vehicle that was affordable, safe and reliable. We both have had bad experiences at car dealerships before so we decided to drive through the parking lot at about 7pm to scope out a vehicle that we had found online and to our surprise, the dealership was still open. Our salesman, Robert, introduced himself and was able to answer all of our questions. He wasnt pushy at all and genuinely wanted to see if they had something that would fit our needs. We scheduled an appointment to come back two days later (to meet our schedules, not theirs) and we were really blown away by the relaxed atmosphere on our return. Robert and Matt, the manager, sat us down and walked us through the process and in no time we were driving off the lot in an X5. While we travel for a living, this is a dealership that I wouldnt hesitate to drive across the country to do business with again.

Had my 2013 X3 in for repair. I did not buy the car from the dealer, but had to have it repaired at BMW of Roanoke. We had to have it towed from another shop that did not have the tools to work on the vehicle. My husband and I went over on a Wednesday to arrange for BMW to pick up the vehicle. The following Wednesday, we had to go back over to dealer because it still had not been moved. Should not have had to do this. After several weeks in the shop, finally picked up the car, and it smelled musty, my steering wheel cover was off and in the tossed back seat (trivial, I know, but still should be put back on, and the inside was filthy. This was over the level of everyday dirt. When the car experience a total lock up, it was not showroom clean. If nothing else, the sticky, greasy smears that accumulated while being repaired should have been cleaned up.....No exceptions! The (white) exterior of the car was also covered in greasy hand prints and smears. After the horrible ordeal of having my X3 timing chain break and taking 21 weeks total to get the car fix (Was at this dealer for 4 - 5 weeks), my experience with my first BMW will be my last. From every level, corporate to local, I felt the service was horrible, especially for the perceived level expected from a luxury car dealer and product. Picking up a car and having a huge cloud of white smoke roll out from it, to the overall lack of caring by service dept representative. The car drove horribly and any competent service department should have noticed something wrong and gone over it with me. Several other people at another dealership drove it and agreed that something was still wrong with it. Wasnt fixed and way too much money to work on these pieces of junk. This was my first experience with BMW, and will definitely be my last.I must add that the young lady who took my payment was new and very nice.

The car was priced very competitively and came with a 100k mile powertrain warranty, that began with the mileage on the car when we drove it home. Fair, good customer service, and easy to work with. You really cant ask for more.

Review2: Its now 7/8/2021: When logged on to huge a new review, Google said I already reviewed BMW of Roanoke (VA), so the only option remaining for me was an opportunity to edit the old review. I guess they figured right, because my opinion holds. Even though he was going to be out, Bob Wstson set everything up for my service. All went smoothly and everything, including the loner car, went as planned. The other service people were great, the service successful & I left happy!Review1: I had a seatbelt recall visit. I made my reservation including securing a loaner car with no difficulty. I explained my tight timeline. Bob Watson, the service manager I talked to was very courteous and helpful. He accomplished everything on time, including having the loaner car waiting for me when I arrived. Work was done quickly. Communication was timely. The work was completed professionally & expeditiously, including having the interior & exterior of the car cleaned.

This location has been great to deal with. The staff is courteous and top notch on service. Normally the prices were not as competitive as the larger dealerships, but my last purchase was better than all other offers. We’re excited to say our second purchase is on order and the experience has been great. Here’s to all of us getting beyond the Covid-19 Epidemic in good health, and future rides in the ultimate driving machine.

I got a really bad flat tire on route 81 on my way through Roanoke on the way to Charlotte NC from NJ. I was in a rut becuase I have run flats therefore no spare. The BMW ended up being 10 minutes away and I was able to drive it there. On my way I called and spoke with Garren in service who right off the bat was so helpful and so kind! He was so reassuring and made such a tough situation so much less stressful! They ended up having my tires in stock (PRAISE THE LORD!) and due to my all wheel drive and the low tread of my other tires I ended up having to replace every tire. Which obviously was a tough pill to swallow but again Garren lifted our spirits, was so gracious and both he and the whole service team were such a huge help! If I lived in the area I would be going to this BMW for all my needs, they really are a wonderful group of people! Shout out to my man Garren in service!!!
