Yeah I had a good time with the guys that work at salty dogs theyre joyful smart no theres stuff always joking around. They also know other stuff about bicycles tell you what I wouldnt go anywhere else thats for sure these guys are awesome. They are a great bike shop when the other bike shop on south street said their minimum charge for repair started at $20 even just to air up my tire which required a special air pump. I obviously said thanks but NO THANKS. THE SALTY DOG aired up my tire for free then charged me only $1 for the pump adapter so I could air up my own tire next time!👍 I now go to Salty Dog for all my cycling needs

My wife had ridden the same bike since she was 8 years old, and had loved it to bits. It now sits in disrepair and she has hesitated to buy anything else because she just couldnt find anything else that felt quite as good. We brought it in to Salty Dog with hopes of restoring it, but they were up front and very honest with us that it would cost more to restore than what the bike was worth. Although that was hard news to swallow, the folks at Salty Dog listened to our requests and needs, paired her with a new bike that they felt would fit the bill, and in my wifes words, within 2 pedals knew that this bike was the one. She felt just like she did on her old bike and was thrilled to finally find a fit for her! They then proceeded to listen to my requests and needs for a bike and pair me with the perfect match as well!The service was exceptional, the owners friendly and considerate, and the small-business atmosphere makes you feel like your concerns and needs really matter.That being said, their quality of work is exceptional! I was shopping for a refurbished bike, test riding bikes from the 90s, and each one I test rode felt like it was brand new.They have earned lifelong customers, and I really hope you consider shopping small business before going to the department store to get your bike. You wont regret it with these guys!

The staff is amazing.They are super knowledgeable, and very considerate of your needs, yes, they listen to you, make any needed adjustments to deliver a great product and experience to you.Without a doubt I recommend this shop to all of my friends.

This place is fantastic and the people that work there are determined and super friendly when it comes to their customers! I had a loose truck on my roller skate and was hoping that on a whim they might know how to get the bolt unstuck, and the guy that helped me got it done and tightened back up for me in no time at all. Even with little experience on skates, he was careful and made sure that it was done right to my liking!

The owner remembers almost everyone who comes in. Its a great small business feel. I was able to trade in my bike and get some amenities installed. The owner is very fair on pricing and is very helpful. Hell go out of your way for you and is overall a great bike shop.

Great place to get advice on the right bicycle for you. I went in and told them what I was interested in, and an employee immediately pointed out several bicycles that matched my size and preference. He was very friendly, and let me test ride the bicyles. The prices were a little higher than I expected, but most of the bicycles had been restored with new shifters, pedals, chains, and tires.

I dont even know how to say how wonderful these folks are. My daughter bought her bike there and received super service over a number of years. They are constantly going the extra mile. She is now stranded in New York City without a job, and when I sent her bike to her, Salty Dog not only provided really good assembly instructions, but sent her a super-nice extra-special treat to add to her bike -- no charge and surprised both of us. I will love Salty Dog forever. xoxoxoxox

POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND ETHICALI went in to the shop a week ago, dropped off a bike that had been sitting in a garage for three years, and a week later, it looks brand new. I opted for the premium tune-up ($90). They told me I could get away with holding off on a new chain for a year, but if I wanted a new one, now would be a good time ($15 + $7 Install). They were honest and didnt take advantage of my novice stature in cycling. I also asked about new tires, which I would have purchased if they told me I needed them, but they said I had a season or two left in mine.They also have a great selection of new and used bikes and bike parts. Definitely going to be a repeat patron to Salty Dog Cyclery

I am revivified. I had a bricycle stolen when I was in B&R IGA some weeks back. A Valnaro, nice bike, nothing eye catching.The day after said theft I went to Salty Dog Cyclers to have a Lotus road bike made road worthy, bricycle wise. The Lotus was stolen the next night, from B&R.Yesterday I went in to salty dog to see if they had any 29-in front tires. they said hey, isnt this your bike? Stomeone brought it in and tried to sell it to us, weve been waiting for you to come down. What is your name again?They had waited two months, kept my stolen bike safe and had no desire for anything except to try to help.When one is competent it is a good reflection on their upbringing, intellect, and other inculcated attributes. When one cares about others, it is a good reflection on the society in which they were raised, brought into, and, most importantly, are an addition to.Take your custom to Salty Dog. Kevin at the salty dog cyclery shop is a top-notch bike mechanic and very knowledgeable about accessories!For anyone looking for a simple tune up to a major overhaul I wouldnt be afraid to put my bicycle in the hands of Kevin whatsoever!One of my favorite parts about Salt Dog Cyclery is that Kevin and his partner are doing their very best to put out a great quality used product at a very reasonable price. These guys are awesome! Since the new management took over in December, I’ve seen excellent service. Always willing to not only help a fellow cyclist, but to teach proper maintenance and upkeep. They stock the tools they use on a daily basis for a fair price. Thanks Salty Dog!

Ive taken my bike there multiple times for various things to be work on. More than not, Ive had to take my bike back because the workmanship is shotty and items were installed improperly. Cables are loose, damage to area where work was to be done & in the end I have to get my forks rebuilt. Also, when I did take the bike in I was told they would be done by a certain time and that was NEVER the case! I recommend finding somewhere professional to take your bike.

I came in here after looking at every bike store in Lincoln and learned I saved the best for last. Bought a Trek for a great price! Aaron and Kevin went above and beyond and offered a veteran military discount that the other stores didnt offer! They honestly care about providing you with the best ride at an affordable price and have tons of knowledge and experience. I had to come into the store three times within a week due to a faulty rim causing a flat tire, and not once did they complain or act like I was a nuisance. Kevin was actually upset that I had to come in this many times and always dropped what he was doing to fix it. Its been over two months and not one issue! I know if I had another problem, I would feel comfortable coming in here knowing Id get the best customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Make this your first stop and save your time. Thanks, guys!

I bought a used Giant Cypress from them about 3 months ago. The bike was very reasonably priced for its condition. Since then, Ive been back for minor adjustments, some brake pads, and additional purchases. Kevin and Aaron have always been prompt, friendly, professional and skilled at what they do. These guys have my business!

The fellow working was very nice and helpful. Fixed my flat tire right up while I waited. Very reasonable price as well. Looked like they had some quality used bikes for sale as well.

Great place to drop by. People working here are pretty nice and friendly. Prices are a little high for me as a college student with no current income, but if youve got a reasonable income, shopping here oughtta be a breeze. When I went here, there was a box of random rusty parts in front of the store. Asked the fella there what they was fixing to do with it. Told me they were gonna go to scrap and that I could take whatever I wanted. So of course, I scavenged some and salvaged some bolts and old pedals and brake pads and whatnot that I needed or might could use. Any case, support your local bike shops, or local businesses in general.
