Made an appointment, went in with a mask on, it says so right on the front door, Liz and the other Young Lady were very courteous and attentive to me, they were friendly and ideal. I then went in for my eye exam with Dr Elliott Stupp, who gave me the most professional, comprehensive eye exam, I have ever had. I was so very impressed with this skills. He is the best when it comes to eye exams. I bought glasses there also, great selection, great pricing. Overall, A Plus.

Scolding a customer for pulling their mask down for a few short seconds while they try on a pair of $565 glasses in a nearly empty store so they can see how the frames look before making an expensive purchase is unnecessary and a major turnoff as a customer. Ive been to six other eyeglass stores, and none of them have issues with a customer pulling their mask down for a few seconds to see what their glasses will look like on their face. Some dont require masks at all, imagine that!Masks dont work for Covid-19, its been proven over and over. Your policy is about 18 months out of date as well. Wont be returning.

What an awful experience, I needed a new pair of glasses and have my script already, as soon as I opened the door the women yelled that I need a mask on, I told her that I’m not able to do that and I’ll stay distanced, she said no way, I asked her if she has my medical records back there and if she’s qualified as a medical doctor to make such a decision for me, she said “maybe I do have your medical records back here” I was really taken back by her remark and she seemed to enjoy trying to humiliate me in front of the other customers in the store, I’m waiting to here back from the corporate office on this matter.This is your response!!Response from the owner 4 hours ago“We are sorry to hear that there was an issue. It is our company policy that all patients must wear a mask at all times. We take the health and safety of our patients and staff very seriously.”First of all I’m not “your patient” I was going to buy frames and you don’t have “patients” you have “customers” that have civil rights!! When you open your doors to the public, you open to everyone nondiscriminatory to handicap, race, religion or medical condition, speaking of which you say you take the safety of your customers and staff seriously?? By suffocating them!! Do you have any idea how our human bodies react to low 02 and rebreathing bad bacteria?? For what, for the one in a million chance you might get a runny nose?? Keep your Communist Company out of America and move to China, or at least out of Florida!! We are a free America here, your NOT welcome and TURN OFF YOUR CENSORED PROPAGANDA TV!!

Professional appearance and attitudes are lacking in this office. Have taken my boys 3 times in last couple years and every time new employees and just rude staff. The doctor has always been nice and knowledgeable but he does try to push glasses even when not needing them it seems. Switched To a different Doctor.

Extremely rude staff. The girl that was at the counter was the absolute worst customer service person I’ve encountered in a long time. Do not go here. I wasn’t the only one they were rude to. Just weeks to be how they roll. Never ever again. Plus they don’t take all insurances which why don’t they tell you that when you make your appt.

I went there and I had to wait more than 10 minutes because the lady was on the phone and when she was done she still didnt care about us. She gave me an attitude saying you guys have to wait. Even though there was nobody in the store. I went to try on glasses and I pulled my mask off for a second to see how the glasses look on me and again with a mean and loud tone she told me to put my mask over my nose. I left right away. Never experienced such a rude worker.

This place is the worst I store I have ever been to, women up.feont are rude, unprofessional, and lied about calling my wife to inform her about her insurance issue. Why not leave a message. Happy to see that the employees are enforcing their company policy of wearing masks the entire appointment and properly. Staff overall is great, doctor did not arrive to the office until 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment but otherwise very pleasant experience.

Wow what a fantastic place. My glasses arrived in a couple days and from the customer service representatives and especially the optometrist did a great job. Dealt with my insurance for me and made the process easy.

Since 2011 had 2 pairs of frameless transition glasses ordered at this location. Made appointment last week for 8/14/20 at 4:40pm, selected frameless option. Weve moved and this office was not the closest one anymore, but based on previous experience, I decided to drive there. Well, came in today at 4:30pm. Door person (she was definitely not qualified to be receptionist) named Marlena was very unpleasant and rude. Shoved papers in front of: Fill both pages. I asked if that could be done online (minimizing contact and saving paper). Response was priceless: we tell everyone, but only 1 in 100 does it. Well, I wasnt told, didnt feel like to follow her orders either. Cancelled appointment. Should have read posted reviews. With Center for Sight, VisionWork and others in the area, there are better options available.

Never going back to this place again! I been coming back to this place for 4 years . The doctor is great but stuff are terrible!!! They made us wait 20 min outside because they have too much people inside, really? Oh wait and fill out all this paper work be ause you website doesnt work right? And then after get stress out waiting in the heat for all time with 3 kids they took are temperature, and of course was high because hello! We wait 20 minutes in the heat . Also they asked us to.walk to publix to cold off, really !! Publix!!? Where is so much people ? No thanks. Maybe take the temperature how soon we get their and them make us wait in our car!? I suggest that and of course they told us no will take just a bit to let you in . Ugh

Doctor Stupp and his staff (Carolyn, the office manager)... Are amazing! Dr. Stupp did a very thorough eye exam, explaining to me what was going on throughout the entire process. He is extremely kind and very professional.I had never been able to put in contacts on my own prior to the visit, but Carolyn assisted me and I got them in on the first try! I walked out of the office able to see with contacts for the first time, and an accurate prescription for frames and lenses.

I’d absolutely never return to Optical Outlets, they lock the doors and have their patients stand outside in 108 degree weather in FLORIDA i might add, and expect them not to have a 100 degree temp. please inform me because I cannot seem to find the LOGIC behind it.

I have been going there for the past 4 years for my son. Today we went and bought mask so he could get new glasses because he broke his. I was told I couldn’t come in with both my children. Me, my 7 year old and my 1 year old. When that didn’t work she than told me I had to put a mask on my 1 year old. Needless to say I left in tears and my son as well. He can not see with out his glasses!!Really sad to be treated this way, when we have been going to you guys for so long

I was in about a month ago, I spent quite a bit of money on two pairs of glasses and contacts for two people for 1 year. The doctor was great.When it came time to pick up my glasses they did not call. I had to call them to find out they were in. Went to pick them up, to my surprise my contacts still were not in. I received two pairs of glasses and 1 0ne year supply of contacts. Still waiting on the second one year supply of contacts.I will probably not go back for my year checkup due to taking forever to receive my contacts. The amount of out of pocket money I spent they should have made sure my products were in order.

Just a word of appreciation for Optical Outlets at the Landings. I have been going there for the last five years, and have had an unconditionally positive experience. The eye doctor who examines my eyes is superb. Hes very thorough and exacting, which is so important in matters relating to eye health. Also, the staff are very supportive, courteous and knowledgeable regarding eyewear and specials. I recently took advantage of a special which included a full eye exam, and two pairs of attractive, high quality glasses for $99. Im a very satisfied customer.

The doctor is always so pleasant and personable, the front desk girl is very knowledgeable and kind and helpful. They change out different contacts to make sure you get something you like, are very concerned about your eye health and they price match. Cant get much better than that, have gone there 5 years in a row.

The doctor was very nice. The other staff ranged from rushed while eating lunch and standoffish to outright rude. One lady calculated my pupillary distance wrong and another woman told me I shouldn’t bother trying to return a pair I was unhappy with because it was the end of the day and I was getting two anyway and she wanted to leave. I did not care for their selection of frames, but you get what you pay for. Live and learn.

Very disappointed in everything thing from doctor to the staff ! Horrible customer service.My first time buying glasses and they were not helpful at all . If fact they acted as though I was disturbing them. And that is only part of it .Never will I purchase another thing from Optical Outlet. That goes for the one on Tamiami and all other ones as well!!!

Just want to say how thankful I am to Dr. Stupp and his wonderful staff. As far as first appointments go this was quick and easy. My girls are 6 and 7 and energetic. We were early and were taken right in. Dr. Stupp was fantastic with my girls and all their questions while doing a thorough job. The price was great too! Thank you Optical Outlets!

It was a good experience. The doctor was very thorough, and took all the time necessary to make sure I could see better. I enjoyed working with Dr. Elliott Stupp. And the staff there was amazing and friendly as well. Gloria was fun to talk with, and she had good ideas. Liz and Kelsie were also friendly and helpful. It was a very good experience.

Carolyn is so kind and she made a problem that I was having disappear . She did so quickly and made me feel valued as a customer. I would recommend her and Dr Stupp to anyone. She also assured me that the frames I selected would be brand new and not the ones off the display racks that everyone has already tried on. Other places have not done that for me.

****DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE***** This place is an absolute joke and extremely unprofessional. I went for my eye appointment and tried several contacts over a period of about a month to find one that worked with my astigmatism, and when I called back to order boxes of my contacts apparently there is an issue. The doctor didnt fill out the paperwork/prescription correctly and no one can find this doctor for him to correct it. So far I have called several times (over a period of several days) and told I would receive a call back in less that an hour.... NOPE! No call back, and no contacts. My next call will be to request for my copayment and insurance to be reimbursed so I can go to a real optometrist office.

Dr. Stupp was very patient with my kiddo, who is an extreme talker. No joke. We ddnt have a long wait, however due to our own slow pace we were there an hour hah. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Got my son his first pair of glasses. Dr. Stupp let me ask my questions a d took time to explain everything to me. It went great, enough that Im going to call and set up my first eye exam soon, Im 99% sure I need glassss.. its time. Lol

They overbook like crazy. I made an appointment for my child, we showed up ten mins early to fill out the required paperwork. Our appointment time arrived and we watched three patients go before us for full eye exams. 40 mins went by and still no eye doctor. They explained they are very busy and dont have appointments for another month. I know why, because they overbook. We simply left. A complete waste of time.

Summary: Ill never go here again. (4848 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota location) Another optical center will get my business. Apparent lack of customer service.I called on Monday, Feb. 6th to make my appointment for today, Wed. Feb 8th. At that time I was given multiple appointment time options. This would lead someone to believe they really arent that busy (which isnt necessarily bad but could be an indicator).#1 - I arrived early for my 5:30 appointment this evening. Even though there was a lady at the desk when I came in she didnt acknowledge me (she didnt even bother to raise her head to make eye contact). I found the sign in sheet on my own, signed in and went to the seating/waiting area.#2 - I was given the new patient paperwork after a short wait (totally cool with that). When I finished with the paperwork I asked where the restroom was. I was dismayed to find it smelly and without both toilet paper and paper towels.#3 - After waiting 35 minutes past my appointment time I got up to cancel my appointment. The lady did explain that they were super busy today and behind schedule. She asked if I would like to re-schedule. I explained I was going to find another place to go.Do they double book appointments? Possibly. Whether they do or not is not of huge importance to me but it is important to me that Im greeted when I walk in, that a bathroom has toilet paper and paper towels. And, for goodness sake, if you are behind schedule please tell me when you hand me the new patient paperwork and give me the option to re-schedule at another time. At least that indicates you take into account that my time is valuable.How much longer would I have had to wait? I honestly have no idea. What I do know is that there was one doctor working and another patient had literally just walked into the exam room when I made the decision to leave.At the end of the day I have more options than I could probably count on both hands and I choose to spend my money with a company that demonstrates they care about their customers.

Worse Eyeglass outlet there is. The Doctor is GREAT here its the rest of the place. If you use a Groupon here they have different pricing. Everything is not disclosed on Groupon as well. They have an Employee Liz who should be retired or something as she is useless here. The Office manager wants to argue with you and well just doenst get what customer service. They are WAY over priced with little to no service.. Anywhere but here would be a better place to buy glasses. If I didnt need an RX to get glasses I never would of went here.

Bad customer service. Horrible bookings for both stores. After all the trouble they put you through, you get moderately expensive bad glasses that dont work and they wont admit the glasses are bad.. ever. The fool salesman says that you have to let your eyes adjust to the new glasses. Then the return date has expired.That is total malarkey. Good glasses adjust instantly to your vision. That is what the optician does with that diopter machine in the back room.With these new horrible eyewear and I was seeing double. Thats normal. Wait a few days and your eyes will adjust! I was told again. There were 3 others waiting to get complaints addressed, that left me with little doubt they would NOT be refunding anything. One old fellow who was there with a similar complaint to mine was told he had waited too long and there was no refund now. He told me he was told by Optical Outlets to let his eyes adjust to the new glasses and its only given him headaches.I called many times to see what I could do about this bad pair of glasses.I ended up throwing my new glasses away after getting a run around from BOTH stores. At this time there was one further south of the Phililppi store. I have no idea if it is still there. But the one in my local Phillippi shopping center gets flipped off every time I pass its front windows.Horrible horrible terrible and cheap people bad.
