I ruined my glasses so I went to Vision Works where I bought my glasses. The people there were terrific! Mike assisted me. He was very friendly, understanding and knowledgeable. It was a great experience.

This is more of a review of the doctors providing service at the Visionworks location. I had made appointments for two individuals, back-to-back on a Saturday. When we arrived, I was told only one appointment was on record. Despite knowing I had received the email confirmations, the doctor refused to honor the other appointment. The doctor claimed he had a prior engagement and needed to leave early. I rescheduled the appointment for the following Saturday. On Saturday morning, they called me to reschedule the appointment to an earlier time because they were closing early. I did not reschedule at that time. I attempted to reschedule by calling them on a Friday. The office hours are until 6pm. At 2pm they had already left for the day. It seems these doctors, particularly Dr. Giardina, have little interest in patient care and customer service.

Had to call many times to even get an appointment since no one picked up. After finally getting one and leaving work early to be there for the appointment I waited around for half an hour and then was told the doctor was going to be with his current patient for an indefinite amount of time and there was 2 others ahead of me so there was no telling as to when I would be seen and was asked to reschedule. Very disappointed after such a high recommendation from a friend.

These folks helped my parents professionally and courteously!! 5 Stats and definitely recommend!!

This was my second less-than-positive experience with this store. The staff seemed friendly but didnt seem that interested in actually helping me choose anything. There was a lot of low-key pressure to upsell me based on how expensive the glasses were but what a wonderful discount my insurance would get me. I really wanted to buy what my insurance my insurance would cover but Id consider an extra feature if it really had some benefit to me. Instead I just kept hearing about how I should pay $170 extra. I left without buying anything.

Went in to get my frames screw fixed, the gentlemen who helped me was not only very helpful and fixed my glasses but also did it for free and gave me a sunglasses case. Would come again to buy my next pair.

My husband needed a new earpiece/temple tip for his glasses. I told him that I didnt think they would be willing to help him with all of the Covid stuff going on. I was wrong. He went in and they were kind and courteous to him. They were apologetic that they didnt have the exact color match, but it was certainly close enough. It turned out to be a non-issue... when they were replacing the broken one they noticed the other one was also cracking ... so they replaced both. This was a non sale for them but they went out of their way to fix it for us. I know that eyeglass places generally do offer this service. But the kindness at this particular Visionworks was greatly appreciated. Will definitely go there for our next pairs of new glasses.

The eye exam was fine, they took my VSP insurance, but everything since has just been strange. The front is Visionworks and the doctor is separate but they dont really work in sync so its very confusing. I wanted to buy frames but the front people would rather look at their phones. They have no interest in business. I walked around looking at frames and not one employee engaged me. It was weird. And just trying to get the price of the contacts they gave me as a trial pair has been difficult. I called for a price, the front part of the store answers the phone, but the doctor part is busy, so they have to call me back. They call me back, I tell her I just want a price of the contacts and order them. The lady who supposedly has to order them isnt available, shell have to call me back. Guess what? No call back. I would say, save yourself time and frustration and dont go here. Its just an odd place.

Wonderful people, wonderful professionalism. Went in for a missing nut on my reading glasses, and they promptly repaired everything wrong with the glasses, polished them up and charged nothing. Great place and great location!

Terrible! Had an appointment and an hour later still had no been seen. When I complained the doctor came out and scolded me for complaining. Very unprofessional! If they were running behind should have been told that when we walked in. Find another place to go. This place is unprofessional.

Visionworks in Sarasota was extremely professional and accommodating. I went there after buying my Bose sunglasses to get the lenses swapped out for prescription. Met with Jason who was so efficient, popped out the lenses that were included and them inspected the frame and said, yes we can provide u with new prescription lenses.I mentioned that I need them fast and he acknowledged that and had me back in the store in 3 days with new lenses.Totally awesome and pleasant experience..I highly recommend that you visit this co.kaby and location.Great service! I’m visiting on vacation right now, and one of my contact lenses spontaneously tore in half - the one time I didn’t bring any spares with me!! I called Visionworks and Jennifer was SO helpful and generously gave me a free pair of sample lenses in my prescription to hold me over until I head back home. I only needed one, but she insisted I take the set and wouldn’t accept when I offered to pay for them. Super friendly, kind, and a total lifesaver!!! Now I don’t have to spend my vacation totally unable to see the beach :) Thank you!!!

Although the prices were a good deal, the service was terrible. The staff did not acknowledge the customers and almost all of the glasses were filthy. I am not impressed.

Had my eye exam by Dr. Patel. He did a fantastic job and explained everything. Donna and Laura helped me pick out glasses that were perfect and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. I will recommend Visionworks to all my friends and will definitely be back next year for my exam and new glasses!

Ive gone here in the past and been happy. This is the first time Ive been here since they switched to vision works and moved to this location. It was terrible. The Dr was fine but the retail manager was an extra pushy salesman. He didnt let me even finish looking at frames before basically forcing me to sit down and then he priced everything at top of the line with no explanation of what that meant. When asked to break down the pricing he became rude. I finally got so annoyed I picked up my prescription form and left. I took it to sterling optical. One billion times better service and a better price. Plus my glasses will be done way faster.

Avoid this place at all costs! Especially the optician Robert, who is arrogant, overbearing, and rude. Evidently, the company cares more about protecting him than the customers he causes them to lose. He must be related to the manager somehow.

Lost a screw from my prescription sunglasses. Christina has it fixed in 5 minutes or less. Friendly, efficient and no charge! Back to the beach!!

I ordered my glasses over a month ago and they are still not in. Every time I call I get the same answer that we will look into it. It should not take a month to get a simple pair of glasses. I guess this is the service you get when you pay in advance. Never pay in advance with Visionworks

Worst place ever. Lied about how long my contact prescription is valid for. Insisted it was only valid for one year when in fact it is valid for two in FL. Man who works there is arrogant and refused to measure my pupil distance bc I was not buying my glasses from him. I will never set foot in that store again

The worst experience I have had. I had to return to the store 9 times to have my glasses done. Returned the first pair twice and when I got the second pair, the rim was bent at the top and can hardly clean the lenses. I gave up on returning the glasses as my time is far more important. Needless to say, this shall be the last time. It felt like no regard for my time was given.

Walked in to look at glasses and make appointment for exam... Staff said they would be right to help, as i walk around she ignored me and was nasty when i asked her how long it took to make the glasses. anther customer walk and to my suprise was helped instantly... Staff and doctor were very nice and friendly; however, apparently this place is under new ownership. As a result, they wont file insurance for lens fittings. You will have to pay the full price up front and file the insurance claim yourself. I find this to be a major inconvenience. In addition, it appears they were overbooked and didnt even do the eye pressure exam. When I asked if they were going to do it, I was told their too busy and that it wasnt necessary. Granted I dont like that exam, but I didnt like the fact that they didnt do it because they were too busy. Honestly, I dont think Ill be back.

As Google Local Guide and Trusted Photographer I walked around in Sarasota Pavilion area and as a volontair shooting free 360 Street Viev photos hereby offering free, powerful advertising. I took a photo of the entrance and one photo inside the nice airy locale and went to the next shop. A young man in doctors outfit chased me very angry shouting why I took picture of the shop. Explained, but he was still hostile and angry. Told him set up signs photographing is forbidden, but there are no signs now. I really want to understand the basis of this behaviour. Are there illegal workers or a photo would document false inventory? Why being upset above free publicity?

Had a 12:30 appointment with Dr. Patel. Called the office approx. 5 minutes before my appointment time as I realized I accidentally went to the wrong location. Apologized and said I was at the nearest location just down the road (literally) and was on my way. Gave them advance notice that I was running late due to MY error. However, I get there and walk up to the desk exactly 10 minutes late to a very confused desk girl telling me the doctor left for his lunch break. I called in advance to say Im on my way and either no one told Dr. Patel or he didnt care. Either way, the Dr. asked me to wait around an hour for their return (very unprofessional) and the desk girl attempted to lie and insult my intelligence by stating the doctor couldnt come back because it was his scheduled break. Thats hilarious because how could he have a break and be in a scheduled exam at the same time? Incompetence, rudely and unprofessionally handled.
