My brakes died a block and a half from this shop mid-afternoon. I was originally told that they should be able to get me in and diagnosed that day, but probably wouldnt be able to get me back on the road until the day after, assuming the problem wasnt my master cylinder. After hearing that I was in the middle of a four hour drive, they put all hands on deck to replace the whole length of my brake lines and sent me on my way a little after their normal closing time, same day. Really appreciate that these guys pulled out the stops to help me get where I needed to be without spending a night in a hotel nearby. A+

The guys at this shop have perfect shop etiquette. They communicated everything to me clearly and efficiently. I was told by another shop I needed new ball joints, but I didnt. I had a broken transmission mount that other shops didnt notice. I had my car towed to Kilpatricks from another shop that didnt know how to fix it. It was an electrical problem with the optispark ignition. Kilpatricks got me all straightened out, and my car hasnt run so good in the 3 years Ive owned it. When I picked up my car from then I drove it for the rest of the day just cruising.

Highest quality of service at a very reasonable price. Ive wouldnt trust anyone else with my 1999 Z28 Camaro. They suggested a Clutch and Differential package that I can drag race and its been BRILLIANT. Just had a complete suspension kit installed (Shocks, springs, sway bars) - the installation and all adjustments were perfect on day 1 and it feels like I have a new car.

No complaints. I was satisfied with the promptness and thoroughness of the work done. They even went above and beyond the call of duty by diagnosing/recommending work that may be needed in the future and giving a low tire a free air fill up.

I called yesterday and spoke with Clinton regarding our 1998 Jeep with an inline-6 4.0 engine. We were in progress replacing a blown head gasket and wanted to see what it would cost to get it checked over for cracks and resurfaced. It was in our budget to do only the resurfacing ($80) and they were able to fit us in this morning. He said they will still do their best to identify any cracks with the limited area they would see while resurfacing. I am so glad we took this cylinder head to Kilpatrick Racing... they were fast, professional and they saved us a ton of work and further expense by identifying two cracks that were visible (to a trained eye) after the resurfacing was completed. They circled them & showed them to me with empathy about the bad news. We couldnt be happier with Kilpatrick. It was a great experience.

Called them and talked to Jerry about my car. He wasnt sure he could help me, but guaranteed he would at least look at it. He assured me he would call me within a week to get me in. Well, 5 weeks later, no call. This is called poor service and unreliability. Thanks for showing me that you dont care or need my money, Ill never consider this place again. I have been taking all of my vehicles to them for many years now. Always quick and honest service at a reasonable rate. You can trust the folks there. Most recently I even had them repair the brakes on my boat trailer that were damaged at the marina. They are there for you no matter what you issue may be! I highly recommend that you give them a try.

If these guys cant fix it, start looking for a new vehicle! They build race car engines from a block of steel/aluminum and transmissions. Service is excellent and they are fair and honest.

Thanks for always being reasonably priced and honest! Its hard to pick a new shop after the one I used closed, but I dont need to look any farther than Kilpatrics. You should see some of the Dodge cars they have there. Its worth a stop just for that.

Just got off the phone with them, not only was their price way higher than anywhere else, and by a lot, and on top of that they seemed rude. The person on the phone only said a few words and seemed like he was trying to get me off the phone as soon as he could. They may have good service but after that call, No Thank You!

Recommended by a family member. Bought transmission from a speed shop and had them install it. Paid them extra to do it, understandable, as it wasnt theirs to make money off. Not only did they do a fake repair on my alarm which I discovered a week later (repair loose wire under carpet) but I worked for Ford for a decade as a repair tech and ASE certified (too old to do this in my driveway) and there is NO factory wiring there AT ALL. I even took the seats out and center console myself, not one wire there and the carpet was never removed. Rechecked with my factory shop manuals on CD. Nothing. Carpet was still tacked down from the factory. They claimed they couldnt start the car because of a wiring issue. THEY HAD THE HOOD OPEN, THATS WHY IT DIDNT START. They did no such repair. They charged me an extra fraudulent fee of almost $600 for this fake wiring repair. To top it off, I couldnt fit the transmission core in my rental car, I said Id pick it up the day after I got my car. THEY CLAIMED I PICKED IT UP and told me I must have forgotten. So now Im out $600 on the core return as well. To top it all off, they installed the transmission wrong and mixed up 2 vacuum lines (or left one unplugged, I dont know, you cant even see it once the transmission is installed again) and claimed Oh, it was like that before. Like hell it was. MAJOR screw job by this shady place, but hey, they gave me a free keychain! What a deal! Special place these people are going to someday.

Kilpatricks has been my shop for years now and they have never steered me wrong. They have always done the work Ive asked for without complaint even though my vehicle is a long way from a high end show car (79 lil Red Express). When theyve recommended something, whether it was rebuilding the steering column, upgrading my valvetrain, or a custom set of caltracs and springs, theyve been spot-on and very reasonably priced. Anytime Ive needed an obscure or hard to source part, Jerry has been able to get them for me. On the one occasion that something didnt turn out right, Jim Kilpatrick and Jerry were honest and worked to make it right. They arent the cheapest, theyre just the best...and best value. I love taking my truck here, because it always comes back better than ever.

I bought a Trick Flow complete top end kit from Summit for my 97 Camaro SS. I scheduled an appointment to have the kit and a stage 2 clutch to be installed and tuned on June 27th. The estimate was a 2 day job give or take. After multiple calls to the shop, I was given numerous reasons as to why my car was still not completed until July 14th. This however wouldnt have been that big a deal until I showed up to pick up my car and the owner tells me they are unable to tune my vehicle and that I would have to take it somewhere else for tuning. Not only did they not tune my vehicle, but the owner stated the computer would self adjust and he believed the factory parameters were sufficient for the kit. So I paid for the build and within the first mile of leaving the shop, my check engine light comes on and the cars exhaust is rattling. I never had a check engine light issue and my exhaust has never rattled before. So I turn around to bring it back to the shop and the owner has left and shop is closed up. So I try inspecting the exhaust rattle and it is coming from where they disconnect the muffler system and reclamped it. Now I must sit another weekend without my vehicle in hopes that they are a reputable shop to fix their mistakes. I will repost upon my interactions with the shop and their resolution.Upon further inspection, there is a bolt missing from alternator mount, transmount improperly installed and multiple bolts loose, and wire looms not properly resecured to fasteners. Still waiting on high end reply to what is supposed to be a high end shop.After a month of having my car, it is up and running properly. He went through and fixed the mistakes after towing it back to his shop. Cost me an additional $550 for him to out source the dyno tuning but my car is running like a champ now.

Would not recommend these guys .brought in my dodge sprinter for a check engine light that was a bad turbo hose .I also had a injector that was leaking .they told me it would cost 240 to fix .over 4000 later and them breaking all my injectors with there home made tool and cracking my valve cover .I drove truck home and the timing chain broke .right where the crack valve cover was .engine is shot and that towed truck to my house .what a joke .make sure you get everything in writing .Oh ya also my truck was there for over a month
