Hi, I had a very good experience. The frame on the window was broken, when I hold it to climb my car, it sounds ridiculous and unbelievable, but it happened. When I came to Land Rover Redwood City, the staff Roy was super nice, he expressed his empathy after heard my experience, and bring me to the parts department, we communicated with another staff, they decided order new one and charge me nothing!Roy’s work is super warm and effective, I appreciate what he did for me!

Never made it to the lot. Last week I corresponded with the dealer about a used vehicle. After correspondence from the GM, AJ Gharu, and Hillary about inspecting for purchase of the vehicle during the week. Due to the impending storm the dealer scheduled and confirmed today’s date. Yesterday, I left a voice message detailing my trip for today, but I never received a return call or email during the day. As I was 45+ miles of making the 125+ mile trip to Redwood City from Sacramento, luckily, I checked my email and found a message stating they sold the vehicle I was coming to view and probably purchase. This email was sent from the GM after 9 pm. I guess professional courtesy to hold a vehicle for inspection with a person with an appointment doesn’t apply at this dealership. After the GM sends me an email stating “ Please let me know what we can do to earn your business.”I have used Car Gurus, Auto Trader, and other sites to find and purchase vehicles. Every other dealership I dealt with and bought vehicles from, using these sites, held the vehicle for me as a priority for making an appointment. I am extremely disappointed that a dealership holding a prestigious name on its banner would treat a customer in this manner. I have the receipts!

Any customer facing business is only as good as it’s team, and Land Rover RWC wins with Ernie N. in the service department! This was my first service on my new vehicle and I felt very taken care of and valued when Ernie was reviewing paperwork with me, which took a while. Despite there being three other customers waiting, he never rushed me, even after Karen sighed loudly as she stood behind me with her arms crossed ;).So, you can expect to wait up to 15 min to check in your vehicle for service (if you are getting a loaner) as they are always crowded, but plan for the extra time for the service because it’s worth the wait.Service pricing is $$$ for Range Rovers, but that should be expected, as Land Rovers are notorious for it.

The drop off for service did not go super smoothly(the workers in the lobby offered little help and were pretty dismissive) and it was a little unclear/awkward getting to service. I was a little concerned after that encounter, however Ernie was absolutely great, he made me feel welcome and explained certain aspects of the service. He called me promptly after the service was done and explained what needed to be done, he was thoughtful and made the whole experience a whole lot easier. I would recommend getting a service done here SOLELY because of Ernie.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other negative reviews regarding service here. Everyone was very nice, however that doesn’t make up for the lack of communication and disorganization. When I booked the service I requested a detail with the person scheduling. When I arrived the service rep told me they no longer offer detailing… why did you schedule it then? He then assured me they would not charge for it, I should hope not. They then kept my car the entire day with no communication or update whatsoever. I had to call multiple times to reach someone just when they were closing who told me my car was ready, I was left wondering for how long. They don’t offer loaner vehicles which I’m still shocked by so it is not an inconsequential thing to keep someone’s mode of transportation overnight unnecessarily. I then retrieved my car just in time to find it waiting for me unwashed and with scuffs and fingerprints on it. The one thing I noted to the service rep to be checked (very squeaky brakes) is now twice as loud, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. My service appointment here last year was like night and day, the reps were very communicative/proactive and the car was incredibly clean upon pick up

Had an early morning appointment for a recall. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and accommodating. Nick was the service manager I spoke with and he assured me it would only take an hour for the work to be performed. Not only was my car done in an hour, but it was washed as well.I had a great, comfortable experience in the waiting area. This was by far the most pleasant experience I’ve had at a Land Rover service dept. I look forward to bringing my car in for its next service in a couple months.

I waited 15 minutes in line to drop off my car due to a check engine light that came on. No one acknowledged that I was there until the service manager came over and spoke to me. Super nice and within minutes of speaking to him a service person came to assist. I expected a phone or a text message letting me know what the issue was with my car but instead I received a text message stating my car was ready. I called the service department twice but no one picked up nor returned my call. I even replied back to the text message but no response. My husband ended up going and picking up my car and the issue was a recall with my engine. Besides the service manager, communication with the rest of the service team is pretty bad.

After a few days of shopping for a vehicle for my son and getting a little frustrated at some dealerships for what seemed like a run around we called and spoke to Darren at Land Rover Redwood City.We explained to him what we were looking for, what price range we wanted to stay at and being that we take care of our credit and have good job stability we wanted to be treated fairly without all the no nonsense. Darren did just that! He was wonderful to work with and he got us exactly what we wanted. A truck for our son and Excellent service! Thank you Land Rover Redwood City. The car was dirty when I picked it up after I was told they were going to detail it and the noise in the dash that I brought it in for still exists and it was not fixed. The gentleman who I picked the car up was very nice which is why I gave it 2 stars. I will not be bringing the car back.

Excellent service, warm environment and I even got tutorial for the car audio. The only disappointment I have is that I made it clear that I will take this car for road trip and need it to be checked. But the tire pressure for all 4 tires were low after I picked up my car and drove back. I ended up taking care of it myself first thing after I picked up my car and that is the last thing that I want to do it myself.I would have given 5 stars otherwise.Thanks!

Awful experience.We had the worst time purchasing a car here. This was used car salesman at its absolute worst. The rep (Carina) was charming as was the finance manager Tony, until we purchased the car, at which point they were beyond useless and seemingly incapable of performing the most basic of tasks.Tony took three days to find financing despite my fiancée having credit >800. Then we were having the car shipped to Austin, at that point Carina required at least 5 follow up calls from us to book the transportation. Finally when I phoned to inquire why it was taking so long she attempted to mislead me.When the car finally arrived in Austin it was in awful condition. The person who picked it up couldnt believe how dirty the car was and there was duck tape on the back.If you question whether it is difficult to be lazy and stupid at the same time, I strongly suggest visit here.

Nick Galpin assisted us with the service on our car when we took it in after the check engine light came on. He was courteous, prompt, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. He called me to let me know exactly what was wrong with the car, and his team quickly fixed the problem which was under warranty, so the service was covered. He returned the car to us the same day, and it had been washed, vacuumed, and received a complimentary service. Thank you to Nick and the team at Land Rover Redwood City!

I bought a new HSE. The dealership has 90 days to register and provide a license plate. The registration has now expired, my car is unregistered. DMV says it is because the dealership failed to file the forms and cannot help me-- that I need to contact the dealership. Ive done so 7 times, and still no response/ remedy.

I didn’t really enjoy my experience with this dealership. I was interested in purchasing a preowned vehicle from them. Was also open to trading in mine. It took a while before I got the appointment- The sales representative wasn’t very knowledgeable. We had to figure out the features by ourselves during the test drive. Once we started talking numbers- I felt like we didn’t get to discuss all our options. And I felt that they became a little impatient for our decision right there! It was a car I’d have purchased if not for the dealership !PS- There is limited parking space.

Purchased a used Audi from this dealership. Worst experience ever, and I have bought over 75 cars in my lifetime. I live out of state, and getting the prior title was a nightmare. Every time I inquired (via email or phone call), I had to leave a message and wait a couple of days for a reply, if they even bothered to reply. They finally said they sent the title to my states department of motor vehicles electronically. I contacted the department of motor vehicles and they said this was impossible, they do not have systems set up to receive titles electronically from out of state. So I attempted to contact the dealer again, and after multiple attempts was told they could not send me the title, but would have to mail it to my states department of motor vehicles. My state is not set up to handle it that way, and it is not possible to call the local branch. So I had to go to the local branch, wait in line, and explain the situation. The manager at the branch agreed to call Land Rover Redwood City and give them her name and address. She did so and told me she would call me when the title was received. I emailed the dealership asking for the tracking # of the package 3 times and they did not respond. The local department of motor vehicles finally received the title a week later and called me. The whole process took over a month. You would think after selling me the car, they would have explained how they wanted to handle the title, but they did nothing until my repeated attempts to get this resolved. They should have realized they couldnt send it electronically and contacted me to resolve how to handle the title, but instead I had to harass them to get the title sent, and my emails and inquiries were repeatedly ignored.

We made a terrible mistake buying from this dealership. The management is completely lacking in interest, care, and professionalism and it trickles down to some of their employees— namely ones who don’t require those skills to lure you in and make the initial sale. We wish to never return and will drive out of our way to go to a different dealership for service. Sadly we are tied to them for our lease.This last service was the worst of any dealership we’ve had in over 30 years. The car is only 1.5 years old and we had a list of about 7 minor things needing to be fixed. I was on time for my appointment but waited for at least 20 minutes before the rep came out who proceeded to argue with me that one of the items on my list (a loud rattling noise ) which he didn’t even hear was normal. Then, the dealership no longer provided their own loaner vehicles. I waited until enterprise picked two of us up to be driven to their lot where I waited over 30 minutes for a car. In total dropping off my car took 1.5 hours. My rep was unresponsive after an initial call back on two occasions of me just trying to find out if the car was expected to be ready same day or next. And the following day still calling trying to get same answer. I sent an email to both the service mgr and general manager. Both part of the Swickard family to let them know of my experience. Surprise. No response. I was only added to the spam email distribution from their personal account. To top it off, nearly every item I was told was fixed and upon getting it home — not the case. To say the least we have no faith in them for anything and it’s too bad people don’t realize before buying what a miserable place it is.

Overall this was a pretty low Land Rover service experience.I initially booked my service through their website, the user experience was straight forward, no issues there, I made sure to leave on the service notes which Land Rover vehicles I’d like to use while they service my Velar (Sport or a Velar) and then I finished the booking, that was approximately 1 week ago.My service was scheduled for 8:40am and I got there at 8:35am. Everything was going smooth until out of nowhere, this lady from Enterprise shows up and the agent tells me that she will take me to an Enterprise Store because they don’t have any cars for me to drive and I wouldnt have to worry about the expenses at Enterprise.Is this a joke? I said to him; In which he replies: “No, we don’t have any loaner cars for you, and actually our store does not provide loaner vehicles.I said: But I made a reservation and asked for a loaner car long before today, and in fact, I called the service store yesterday to confirm there would be a loaner car for me, and the lady said it was ok and that I should be fine.And ultimately he says: Well, I dont know who did you spoke with, but our store havent been giving loaner vehicles for quite a while.This is unacceptable, Ive never had such a treatment, and guess what?! When I headed over to Enterprise to get the loaner car, it was a freaking small Nissan, Im 64, the store covered only 40 bucks...I honestly wanted to go back and get my car and go do the service elsewhere. In all of the years that I had a Land Rover vehicle I never, ever had to drive a stupid Nissan while my car was getting serviced. If I wanted a low to poor experience then I wouldnt be buying a Velar in first place. If you guys cant meet our expectations then please let us know so we can start migrating to another brand as Land Rover doesnt seem to be in the high tiers anymore.The gentleman that attended me was probably not the guy calling the shots so he is likely not the one to blame, nor the lady from the service front desk who said I could have a car on the day before. Whoever is the owner of this store is probably the cheap one causing all of this trouble with poor management and cringe technics.one star out of five.

Everything was great as a first time customer. I chose this location due to its closer to my work, and living in SF I was having to go to BMC on days off. Chuck and the location’s service impressed me with providing me with a loaner car, and offering to pay for enterprise if not available. My car was ready at noon, which was great too. I appreciated their communication via text throughout the service process. I was able to ask follow-up questions, and that was informative.All around, great experience and I will return!

We all do business with different companies throughout the year and most are unremarkable. But our experience with General Manager, Adam Van Coops, at Redwood City Land Rover was extraordinary.Adam’s communication, attention to detail and management skill is unsurpassed in the auto dealership industry; his overall customer service harkens back to an era of where a handshake meant he stood behind his products and service.Our issue was the poor design in the tailgate operation of our Range Rover Sport; the tailgate would not fully open upon request and with a toddler in tow getting in and out of the trunk area was frustrating to say the least. We had to repeatedly activate the tailgate release (2-3 times) before it would fully open. It was serviced under warranty several times at Redwood City Land Rover without much success.It wasn’t until we made contact with Adam that our frustration subsided and our appreciation for Redwood City Land Rover grew as the tailgate was serviced. Within a few short days, the tailgate was fully operational to factory specifications and returned to our family with a complete detail, which was much appreciated in the COVID-19 era. From the moment we discussed our issue with Adam, the poor car dealership stigma eroded and a professional business relationship emerged.Our family will highly recommend Redwood City Land Rover to our friends and family. And without a doubt, our next SUV purchase will be at Redwood City Land Rover and with Adam Van Coops.

They were able to squeeze me in and get me a courtesy vehicle the day of which I greatly appreciate it. They always are very responsive and take care of the problem for me. The service is terrible. I will never buy another car from this dealership. When I made the appointment for service, I was not told to either arrange a transportation for myself or I had about an hour long process off-site to get a loaner car. For the loaner car, I had the choice of a substandard car to my own, or I had to pay to get the equivalent. This would be terrible even when there is no pandemic, but during a pandemic it is inexcusable. Since I made the appointment for a specific time, I expected that it would get done while I was waiting at the dealership / service center, like it happened before. When I got there, I was told it would take 2-3 days. I was surprised because I wasn’t told that I needed to arrange transportation for myself from the dealership when I made the appointment. I don’t use Uber/Lyft due to Covid. The service person then asked me whether I wanted a loaner car. I figured that is a step safer than getting into an Uber, so I said yes. Then I was told I had to wait for the Enterprise rental car person who would arrive shortly. It took almost 30 minutes. Then they took me over to Enterprise, about a mile away, where I had the choice of driving a car that is substandard to my own car, or paying extra. I was in situations when I could have been exposed to COVID-19 without knowing that I was going to have to do that. If I knew this, I would have scheduled the service drop-off at a time when my husband was available to pick me up with our other car. Unacceptable!

I had thought I was getting one heck of a deal, to only be told, “hey we have some bad news for you. We’ve sold the car.”I received the news AFTER spending over one week negotiating a deal, putting down a deposit, submitting my credit to be pulled, and setting up insurance on the vehicle. As an out of state buyer - it does take a little extra time to purchase a vehicle.Throughout the process I dealt with Mike, who was extremely kind, professional, and took care of my concerns. Apparently, the general manager SOLD the vehicle KNOWING there’s an out of state buyer who left a deposit, was approved to finance, and the dealership sent out paper work to be completed.This dealership does not care for the better good. They’re focused on profits and solely profit making. The general manager will regret his decision once he continues to receive negative reviews. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS here.Greedy managers who only want money.

Updated: I wouldn’t buy a used car from here again, maybe a new one with guarantees.We test drove the car and the windshield was perfect, neither my husband or I noticed any ding and we are both pretty detail oriented.The day we picked it up, my husband noticed a mark at eye level on the windshield as he drove out of the lot, but thought it was just dirt. Got home and looked closer and it was a ding directly at eye level, pretty deep. Oddly, the ding was patched, as confirmed by the window guy who replaced it. Why wouldn’t the dealer just replace it in the first place?We escalated to GM (because the manager at this location was really rude and said, “it’s a used car, it’s your job to see these things before you take it out of the lot. It could have happened on your way home.” (But it was patched?!?) And he literally hung up on me (I promise I wasn’t shouting obscenities so I was surprised he hung up so abruptly.)The GM agreed to go 50/50 on the new windshield (better than nothing...but really you’d think they’d just pay for the damn windshield and leave a costumer happy having just paid full price on a not cheap SUV, right?!?).The windshield wipers were installed wrong so they hit the sides of the trim (not major but just another thing we had to deal with.) Then we had to jump start the car twice that same day because the battery was old and not holding a charge.After the first annoyingly difficult negotiation on the windshield, we didn’t even bother them about the wipers or the battery and just replaced them ourselves. Not a great feeling after spending so much money to not feel like we could go to this dealer for a little support getting the car in drive-able shape.Hopefully the car will otherwise be fine.

These guys worked really hard for my deal. They were on the ball. They called me and followed up relentlessly in an effort to help me expedite fixing a Credit issue I had. They were able to secure me tier 1 prices even when my credit has dipped a little before. They made me feel valued. Like they actually wanted and cared about my business. We went back and forth for hours and the guys were great sports and true professionals. In the end, I left with my dream car. Special thank you to Abdel for sourcing and following up with me about my Range Rover, and another special thank you to Henry Dong, for working with me and dealing with my unrelenting requests and negotiating. I called about a car on November 15th, and was told it was available and for sale. I asked the salesman for some videos and more pictures, and he obliged. We had a short bargaining process, and agreed upon a price within several hundred dollars of their asking price. After this, we sent the funds in full (on the 17th) to the dealer, along with an email asking them to reply with confirmation that the car was sold and my shipper would pick up the car as soon as the funds cleared.We received the contract from them with the buyers name being incorrect, along with the closing date being 1 month after the scheduled closing date AFTER we had corrected this over email prior to them sending the contract. They overnighted a new contract, and we signed and overnighted it back to them.The dealer declined our original wire, and we were only notified after calling the dealership 5 times in order to reach the account manager, and we agreed to re wire the funds the same day. This took place on Friday the 20th, and they had the funds in their account on Monday morning at 6:30am.I receive a call around 2pm on monday stating that they are terribly sorry, but the car has been sold to a local buyer. Keep in mind this is AFTER we have a signed contract, and AFTER we have made a second attempt to wire the funds.We escalated the matter to Adam, their GM who was very honest and upfront in what had happened. He did make us whole again, however after receiving the second check for the funds from them (the first check had the incorrect name), the funds will not be available in our account for 2 weeks from today.I have purchased multiple cars out of state and am in sales myself. This was honestly was one of the worst transactions I have ever had, and the lack of professionalism from the dealer is astounding. Adam did the best he could and apologized profusely, however the rest of the team including the gentleman who sold me the vehicle (Darren) has said nothing.If you are a out of state buyer, I highly recommend searching elsewhere. I felt comfortable at the beginning because I thought I was a dealing with large, professional dealership, however I was sorely mistaken.

Just had my Range Rover custom detailed and the wheels refurbished. It came out sparkling and I was very happy with the results. My RR looks brand new! I admit that Im OC with regards to attention to detail and I would highly recommend getting your vehicle detailed by Land Rover. You will be very satisfied. The cost was also comparable to any other detail service company. Plus, my service advisor, Ernie, was very courteous, professional and extremely nice.

I highly recommend the Service Department at Land Rover Redwood City. They provide a loaner or rental car for alternate transportation and Ive worked with Juan twice now and he provides excellent service by listening to my concerns and addressing them. I will continue to service my vehicle at LR Redwood City as long as I own my car and live/work on the peninsula.

Disappointing experience. I scheduled a service appointment for June 2. While on my way to the dealership, I received a cell phone call. The lady from the dealership informed me that we will be rescheduling the appointment, because of a concern over a potential demonstration. When I asked to speak with a service rep to find out how long it would take just to get a diagnostic for the check engine light that was on in my Land Rover, she refused to transfer me. Instead, after a delay, she informed me that there was no time frame in a most dismissive tone. I have yet to reschedule the service appointment. I feel like the dealership cant be bothered to be responsive to my concerns. This is the second disappointing experience I have had with this dealership, and my vehicle has only 5600 miles on it.

Great dealership. Highly recommend. Easiest car buying process I have ever experienced. Mario (the GM) took time to understand what I was looking was, we sat down and looked at inventory and did numbers at the same time to see if something would make sense. He cut through the chase without having to negotiate or haggle. Darren was fantastic in explaining the vehicle - inside and out. Not pushy or car salesman like in anyway, he was patient and very well informed. The best customer service however in my mind came from Thomas - the finance manager. He is the problem solver. He is fair and open in his dealing. Finance is where the dealership makes the extra dollars, and he is very transparent and honest. He also was fantastic in post-purchase follow up. From coordinating my car shipment, to remote service requests - he was on the ball. These days you can buy a car from anywhere, but it really hard to find exceptional people who make the process easy - this place is it.

Worst experience I have ever had with a business! We purchased a certified pre-owned Range Rover 2 years ago. After 20,000 miles the engine is dead. We were told by Land Rover Redwood City that the cost would be $24,000 to fix engine!!! Needless to say we were not happy. After 1 month of torture, the dealership has provided little help. The GM, Mario, worked a “deal” for a new car, including the bad car and further tried to take us over the coals. When we asked about the numbers of the deal- there was zero transparency and he then suggested we go elsewhere with our dead car. Unprofessional and rude is how I would summarize our experience. As I stew over this and read the numerous poor reviews- I wonder how this place is still in business?! I would recommend reading the reviews critically before doing business with this dealership. Especially when you are spending a lot of money on a luxury car! We ended up going Elsewhere, got a better car with more options and saved more than $10,000 than the deal at Land Rover Redwood City!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Unfortunately the service advisor we were used to is no longer there. My wife Range Rover needed repair and the service advisor recommended the most expensive solution to a leaking control arm bushing, which did not make sense to me. I called two local dealers to validate if what I was being told was accurate and they confirmed my suspicions. Two other dealers told me it was unnecessary to replace the control arm and that they only needed to replace the bushing. After confronting and sharing the informationwith the service advisor they agreed to replace the bushing. In addition, the vehicle has extended warranty. The service advisor told me he did not believe the repair was covered. I asked him to please check. After a couple of days he calls back and informed me the repair (bushing replacement) was covered under the extended warranty. The whole experience was a big unnecessary hassle that is not expected of a Land Rover dealership.

Im extremely impressed with the level of customer service that was provided to me by Kevin Davidson in the Service Department at this location. Ive had over a dozen cars, so Ive done business with many many service departments for different brands and locations (including other Land Rover locations). Its great to know that there are still a few places out there who actually care about their customers and are able to have their customers leaving satisfied.I brought my newly purchased SUV in for some strange noises I would hear from time to time. Kevin and his team were extremely patient with trying to identify the issue and stayed at it until it was resolved. The noise only triggered at certain times, which im sure made it challenging to troubleshoot. Even the techs were nice enough to ride along with me so that I could demonstrate to them what the actual noises were.Rather than sending me away with the typical We dont hear anything or That noise is normal, that most service departments would try to pull, this location went above and beyond by troubleshooting it until they were able to identify the cause and fixed it.Kevin was also very mindful of my time and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Im somewhat high maintenance and always need to know what is going on at all times. Before I even had a chance to contact Kevin for an update, I would notice that I already had a voicemail or an email from him with the latest information.I highly recommend bringing your vehicle for service to this location.

A better attitude is very significant especially when selling luxury brands like Land Rover, not very satisfied with the experience. Understand that earning business is the first place for dealerships but in the same time, a good service is also needed..Ppl won’t do the deal if they feeling a bit disappointed even tho u have the right car. Overall not the best Land Rover dealership.
