In 3 years and after several alignments from other mechanics, EP Auto got my got car driving straighter than ever. They do really good work. I wish I found them sooner.Theyre often booked a couple weeks out. But that really just goes to show how good they are at what they do and how much return business they get.

EP Auto was recommended to us by a friend whos lived in town for a very long time and knows a lot of the staff personally; we especially loved the local family owned aspect of it. Had a car that had spark, fuel, crank but no ignition and I had run out of solutions. Eric, his son and Steve were quick to get right on it after making our appointment with them, and they were extremely proactive in communicating issues, worst case scenarios and price points with us. When things were going quicker than expected they made sure to tell us all the final details and prices, and their diagnostics & fixes were permanent, accurate and right on the money. Overall, I really appreciated their blunt integrity in fixing a vehicle we couldnt afford to lose, and doing it in a way that was straightforward and affordable for us. Thanks guys.

I always found EP AUTO to have a honest Owner with honest Mechanics. It is a Auto Garage you can trust. They do great work too. I have gone there for six years and was always satisfied with their work.

We bought a used car in Orem, but needed a local mechanic to check it out before pulling the trigger. I had a mechanic who I liked during my BYU days a while back, but they were too busy, so I asked them for a recommendation of who would be good and honest. Immediately they recommended EP Auto.Now I know why. It was like having a super helpful grandfather who happens to be a mechanic. He was busy too, but still he squeezed us in, looked it over, and helped us to feel good about our purchase. And then he didn’t even charge us! Now I wish that I lived near Orem just to give this guy some of my money because he was just so darn nice.

My family and I have been going to EP as long as I can remember! They’ve always treated us very well there. No extra fees or shady business like I get scared of going to get my car fixed anywhere else. Just this last time I came in with my car overheating, they were pretty booked up but they were able to squeeze me in the next day. Cant say enough good things about this shop.

Hands down, the absolute best car shop in Utah Valley. Over the last 15 years they have worked on my Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Lexus IS and RX. Never once have I been surprised by an invoice. The most honest and trustworthy staff around. Steve and Eric are salt of the earth kinda guys.They have worked me in quick in emergency situations, but it’s better to call a few weeks ahead, cuz they are booked out a week or two. And it shows by the MOUNTAIN of keys on the desk and wall when you go in. 😂

I brought my car in thinking that I needed new shocks and struts since that is what other shops had told me. This can be anywhere from 800-1200 dollars in repairs. When I brought it in EP Auto told me the problem was just some bolt tightening that needed to be done with my high mileage car and that my shocks and struts looked great. For a good price, they fixed it and saved me a fortune in repairs I didn’t actually need. I really appreciate their honesty. On top of that, my car was done in just a couple hours. Will definitely be going back!

I have been taking my cars here since it first opened - 20+ years? They do great work for a fair price. I have never been disappointed. I recently dropped my car off because it would only start via jumping. A parts store told me it was the alternator - so that is what I told EP Auto. Turns out it was just dirty battery cables. They could have replaced the alternator since that is what I expected. Instead they cleaned the connectors and told me No Charge! I recommend them to everyone i know!

EP auto is great. They were the only shop I could get to look at my old Buick Le Sabre. I had it towed there, and they told me they had no idea when they’d have time for it...called me two days later and had it running smoothly. I can’t say enough how happy I am that they are honest and professional.

First and foremost-- great experience. They did a great job to my knowledge. I enjoyed working with them because the service was swift and professional. I would easily give 5 stars because I believe they earned it.I thought it to be odd that they said my issue was because of something that was not existing in the time of the accident. For example, they confidently said my issue was because I had too much oil in my car. Now, I believe them to be honest; HOWEVER, I had the issue 3 weeks prior and every time I drove my car since. The night before I gave it to them; I put new oil in to top it off (explains why there was too much oil). So, unlikely my car was dumping smoke out of the exhaust due to an event that happened 3 weeks after the initial issue.

This is a great place to go. The techs are always honest and try to give you the best deal for your money.

Ive been going here for years and while they could work on being a little nicer (not mean, just kind of no nonsense, the mechanics are also the front desk kind of a thing) Ive never had a problem with anything and sometimes they find out a problem is something else and charge me less. Feels very honest.

I had a dealer diagnose an electrical issue in my Prius and insist that I needed an expensive part before they could conclude their diagnosis. I decided to have it looked at by someone else before proceeding. I called several places before I called EP Auto, including some recommended by friends, but none thought they could diagnose or fix my Priuss electrical issue, and many recommended I use the dealer. EP Auto was simply another place on my list that I expected to decline. I was ecstatic when Eric told me that he was confident that they could fix it.Like the dealer, EP Auto initially identified the same part as problematic the dealer did, but was willing to investigate further and found that a different part had failed, which fails much less frequently and which costs much less. They replaced the part and resolved the issue within a few days and fixed a few other minor problems as well. The entire cost of the repair ended up being less than the cost of the part the dealer needed to continue diagnosis.In all, I am very happy with my experience with EP Auto and will definitely work with them again when my cars need repair.

EP auto is the place to go for honest, reliable car care and repair. I have been going to Eric and Steve for years. They’ve worked on 2 Audis, Toyota Sienna, Rav4 and a Suzuki forenza. They are always on time, upfront and honest. I think the most memorable repair was on the Sienna. We had a specialist who is a mechanic at a high end Toyota dealership diagnose a front wheel vibration as $1200 job. I took it to EP and it was a loose axle nut they fixed in 10 minutes and charged me nothing. I don’t go anywhere else for car repairs because I trust them. Trust is a rare and valuable thing, especially today. These guys are the best. No substitutes.

EP Auto is best mechanic shop in Utah! Seriously, we go to ridiculous lengths to only have EP Auto take care of our cars. The diagnosis is always spot on. The work is always done perfectly. I have been taking my vehicles here for about fifteen years. Everything from a 1994 make to a 2016. From American made to Asian. Theyve impressed me with their expertise and friendly professionalism. My vehicles are kept running and my wallet hardly feels any lighter for it. They have my loyalty.

I drive old cars. Old cars break. EP Auto fixes them like a boss. If a repair fails within the warranty period EP Auto fixes it and doesnt charge you a cent. I dont have to even say a word about it. They notice that it is under warranty on their own. I have found them to be super honest, reliable, and capable. The only down side is they are so good it takes a few days to get an appointment, because they are so busy! Good mechanics.

I’ve been going here for years for repairs. They have always been honest and know how to repair anything I’ve given them. They will tell me if a repair isn’t really never as well, so that I don’t spend unnecessary money on a repair that isn’t going to affect the functionality of my car.

This was my first time using EP Auto, but definitely not my last! At first, I tried another mechanic that was closer to my home. After them over charging, having my car for days and still not getting me answers- I picked up my car and left very frustrated. I mention this because I felt taken advantage of and discouraged at finding a fair mechanic. But then I found EP auto and am SO grateful I did. I made an appointment for a couple days later, but when my car died- EP Auto took it even earlier than planned. They got it in that day, ordered the parts and had it all fixed and back to me the next day. They were kind, they were fair and I trusted them with all they did. They will forever be my mechanic here in Orem and I will recommend them to anyone!

There was a very simple problem with my wifes car (obviously we didnt know that), that would be much cheaper for is to fix ourselves. They told us this after doing the inspection of our car and didnt charge us anything. We were recommended this by a friend, and I can see why. We have come back a couple times since the first time and have always felt like we were treated fairly! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fair mechanic.

EP Auto is an amazing auto shop. I have been taking my cars there for well over a decade, and will never go anywhere else. Eric and his team are so honest, and good at what they do.My first experience with Eric was years ago. I a problem with my car, and didnt have the money to fix it. I went to 3 different shops to try and find a quote in my budget. They were all between $700 and $1,000.When I took it to Eric, he opened up the hood, played around a bit, and then told me it was fixed. I was shocked. Then I asked him how much it was, and he told me there was no charge. Wow! who does that?Ive told that story to a lot of people, and I know a bunch that have become EP Customers as a result. I highly recommend this shop. You cant go wrong.

Prices quoted tend to be high estimates or dead on, so you are always aware ahead of time what to expect.4. They own mistakes, even in situations outside of their control (finding used/rebuilt parts for replacements that wouldnt be economically sound i.e. transmission with unforeseen issues)I strongly believe you absolutely must have top quality and trustworthiness in your mechanic and your lawyer, and with ep I can say that I do.

I was so blessed to find EP Auto. We bought a used Lincoln from a reputable car dealership in 1995, and it kept cutting out while driving. The dealership had us take it to EP Auto, and they would pay to have it corrected. We have been going there ever since, and have been recommending them to others. Often, funny as it sounds, at a recommendation, we would be told they already go there. Everyone I know who uses them also recommend them.

They were very good at communicating how long it would take to look at our car, order parts and repair it. They are very busy. So, we couldn’t get in right away, but once they had it, they were very prompt. Good customer service. They came highly recommended.

I like this place but they are trying to do away with bringing your own parts. It bugs me. Being poor bringing them in is the only way to afford it. They let me do it tho and I was grateful. They did the work within a reasonable time and were willing to get me a lower price in a few ways. I am not sure if they will let me bring anymore parts in but I hope so. Called in on short notice to get a pre-purchase inspection for a used vehicle (private sale). Although I could tell that they were very busy, Steve and Eric were very helpful in fitting me into their schedule and answering all the questions that I had.

Great place to go, Ive gone to the shop across and always scamming me, over charging me and taking days if not weeks to fix. And never was fix right. This one everytime I take a car they have it that same day or the day after, for a cheaper price!!

I took my 2009 Honda Pilot in due to rattling in the front-end. Thought it may be a bushing issue, which Honda said could run $1K. EP correctly diagnosed as needing replacement sway bars, and fixed the issue for a very reasonable price in 1/2 day. They also checked my shocks, which had been recommended for replacement by another shop, and said that they were just fine.

I don’t trust ANY other mechanic. We have been a customer with EP Auto for as long as I can remember and they have always done right by us. They have always provided us with trustworthy service but have also saved us from other mechanics trying to “screw us over”. True professionals in their field. Recommend them 100%!!

This shop may already have enough 5 star reviews, however Id still like to add another. We were having some engine issues and I havent been to a mechanic in over 7 years. Neighbor said go to them. Long story short we needed a whole new engine/rebuild. Skyler, Erics son, did the job. They gave us a quote that was cheaper than any other shop in the Utah and Salt Lake Valley. Took a few days extra but accuracy is more important for this job. Glad we came here, Car is running super strong and were enjoying every bit of it. One thing, call ahead, they are extremely popular and busy, for good reasons of course.

Superb service! Amazingly honest guys! Took my Civic in because its been overheating. They looked into it and found that the AF was low. They also did diagnostic testing (which I was told on the phone would cost $47) to check if the gasket was leaking on the radiator. The radiator failed the test, but he said it should still be drivable, just keep an eye on the AF levels. Anywhere else would have tried to make me fix the radiator right then. All this, and they charged me $0! Super great, friendly, honest guys. I will be taking ALL of my cars here from now on.

Just as everyone else has said, I love how honest these hard workers are! Theyve always made sure that ol Pammy (my 1993 Toyota 4 Runner), is running smooth, and at a fair price. I have almost no clue about cars, or engines in general. So Ive always appreciated the fact that they fix what they need to get done, and nothing that is unnecessary. They do have a long wait list, but thats just because people can see the quality, the fair price, and appreciate the honesty. Thank you for the great job. I totally recommend them for anyone!

I always have a great experience here. Two times that I came here, I couldn’t pick up my car during open hours. So they locked the keys in the car and I unlocked it with my spare key whenever I could pick it up.

Ive been going to EP Auto for more than a decade. After more than a few bad automechanic experiences (where I felt like I was walking into a money pit), a coworker recommended EP. Ive taken more cars there ever since. Eric and his team are knowledgeable and trustworthy. As someone who isnt super mechanical, there also not condescending. What I like most is that if they cant find the issue with the car, they dont charge me for running a diagnostic. Plus, they dont push me into making a repairs that might even be needed. So when they do have a recommendation, I listen. Great shop!

Simply the best, most competent, most informed, easiest to deal with car repair shop. Was first there back in 1996 or so, moved out of state, to several other cities, and am now back in the area. Took my RV in today for service and they still had my records from September 4th 1998 when it had 17,000 miles on it (its over 273,000 today). Glad to be back where I know and trust a long-time, successful car repair expert. Am taking the rest of my fleet of vehicles in for delayed maintenance over the next few weeks and actually looking forward to it!
