Cabinets were superior in quality (solid plywood construction). Prices were very competitive compared to the big box stores. After placing the order, all products were delivered before the estimated time. Also purchased Countertops. The whole process of placing the order, measurement and delivery was excellent. Home Design did an incredible job on our kitchen renovation, which included demolishing a wall that separated our old kitchen from the living/dining rooms to make an open concept floor plan. They were competitive with their pricing, as well as honest, reliable, and patient with our questions. The fact that they left the worksite clean and tidy each day was an added bonus. John and his team were quick to provide solutions to various problems that arose, such as re-working the scope of work to install a beam in place of the load-bearing wall. Also, due to COVID-19, one of our cabinet manufacturers unexpectedly went out of business, leaving us without cabinets for our kitchen island in the middle of the project. Home Design provided us with various options so that we could have a completed kitchen. We were extremely happy with the finished product and would highly recommend them.

We recently completed a complete renovation of our kitchen including the demolition of our pantry to open up the space, as well as three bathrooms. We could not be happier with the results. The design and subsequent modifications were all completed as desired. The crews effort, quality, and diligence were exceptional. As we explained to John and E, our only frustration (and most projects generally bring many), was that communication sometimes fell short between those two gentlemen as well as with the crew when there were changes. That said, we will certainly go back to them for future projects. None of us are perfect, and they were all honest and dependable.

I hired Home Design, Inc. to do a complete remodel of my kitchen in a 1954 home. The layout was original but we wanted to move some appliances around and take it down to the studs. Johns crew was amazing, they were fast and efficient and did very good work. The price was competitive and the timeline was what we were looking for (max of 3 weeks). They completed the project in 2.5 weeks, which was amazing. They put up plastic sheeting and secured it to the walls so that the demo work didnt get everywhere in the house and they cleaned up after themselves every day. In addition to moving appliances around (which involved gas lines moving), they knocked out 1/2 a wall and created a bar area installing a island hood and pendant lights, which is a focal point now for the kitchen.The finished product is spectacular and everyone is asking us who did it! We are already planning to have them work on another part of the house soon.

The entire team is INCREDIBLE! John, Marcus, Baat, everyone! They are uber responsive to all questions we had. We did not even bother getting a quote from anywhere else because they are super reasonably priced and have the expertise to back it up. Their quote included cabinets, granite and sink (who does that?!). We loved and trusted all of the suggestions John and Baat had. They finished our entire kitchen in less than 2 weeks and now we are wanting them to do even more projects in our home. The Home Design team was very easy to work with from quote through completion of the project. Home Design was flexible with modification to the quote prior to the contract and throughout the project. When looking at the competition what I liked about Home Design was the ability to select the materials I wanted. Other kitchen re-modelers have a list of materials or restrict you to different tiers of material before up-selling you. My project was delivered on budget, on spec and on time! What more could you ask for.

I am totally pleased with this company. The quality, service, and price were exceptional. In particular, they carefully measured, cut and installed my quartz counter-tops. They also carefully worked with me to determine the best layout. The customer service was flawless. They did what they said they would do; they did it on time; and they did it well. They were an integral part of my kitchen redesign team. I kept my old 1958 metal cabinets and restored them and the counter-top was an essential part of the process. I was so pleased that I didn’t hesitate to use them again to design a floating bench in my bathroom shower remodel. They customized the shelf to the exact dimensions and it is a beautiful addition to the shower. Ive attached some before and after pictures.

We hired the HomeDesign team to remodel our 9x14 kitchen and could not be happier with the results. The scope of the project for which we hired them was: 1) consultation, 2) purchase of cabinetry and countertop, 3) installation. The cabinetry selection that HomeDesign carries is to-the-point and in-sync with current trends; their countertop selection is extensive. John was extremely knowledgeable and patient in going over the entire process with us. We appreciated that he understood our needs and did not try upselling us on everything.As for the installation, we were extremely impressed that it took the HomeDesign team only 3 days to install our entire new kitchen! (To be clear, we did not change our floor plan and we did not move plumbing or appliances, but still, there is something to be said about that). When we initially heard that it was going to take them approximately 3-4 days to install, we estimated that it would take longer and worried that corners would be cut. That turned out to be furthest from the truth. His team is comprised of college educated guys whove been doing this for a long time - they work intelligently and efficiently. John dropped in on two of the three days to ensure that everything was running smoothly and to check in on his team.For those who are curious, here is how our how our kitchen remodel process went from beginning to an end:- we met John in his showroom, viewed cabinetry and countertop options, and obtained a rough estimate of the cost- John came to our home and measured our kitchen- we made our selection of cabinetry and countertop- HomeDesign invoiced us for cabinetry- upon invoice approval and payment, HomeDesign ordered our cabinets- cabinets arrived within 10 days (at which point we scheduled our installation to occur within the next 2 week window)- kitchen install day #1 = cabinets assembled and hung up in their preliminary positions- kitchen install day #2 = cabinets hung up in final positions with drawers and doors, countertop measurements were taken for cutting, and all plumbing was hooked back up (!)- kitchen install day #3 = hardware and countertop installed (!!) and miscellaneous details taken care of- HomeDesign invoiced us for countertop and laborTo save money, we demolished and repainted our kitchen on our own. All in all, we were out of our kitchen for a total of only 7 days (!!!). It made a world of difference being parents to a very active 2 year-old who stays at home. Living without a kitchen is no joke and we are so glad that we entrusted the HomeDesign team with this project. They are SMART, FAST and EFFICIENT. Do not hesitate in hiring them - you will be in good hands.

HomeDesign helped us remodel our 1979 kitchen during the pandemic. They were responsive to our request to help us visualize adding a breakfast bar area with cabinets and countertop that would open the kitchen area up to the dining room and living room, which really tied the floor together while adding a ton of cabinet space. The rest of the kitchen was updated with taller cabinets, new granite countertops, appliances, sink, and light fixtures. The backsplash we chose was mosaic stone, so more difficult than most but HomeDesign came through. There were some bumps along the way with the cabinet deliveries, but the project was still completed in a timely manner. My wife and I are very happy with the end result, the price, and the services provided, and our kids enjoy eating and playing at the new breakfast bar. We would use HomeDesign again for bathroom renovations or similar work.

I had the master bathroom remodeled by them and the end result was something like a 5-star resort bathroom. They are punctual and respect your time. They finished my project on half the time they originally estimated :):):). They clean daily after their work. They listen to details very carefully and provide end results as requested. They never mind to add details mid-course or change something. They are willing to go over and beyond satisfying their customer. If you need a second opinion on colors or style, they offer nice suggestions and show you examples of their previous work. We recently worked with Home Design to completely remodel our kitchen and highly recommend their work.We found Home Design after researching reputable kitchen remodelers on several websites. When we first contacted them, John reached out promptly to set up a visit to our home for an initial consultation. During the consultation, he offered several ideas for how we could restructure and reorganize our outdated kitchen.From there, we worked with Home Design to design a completely restructured kitchen area. It was a large project, requiring a full-scale demolition, entirely new cabinets and countertops, new appliances, new flooring, adding a gas line for a gas range, and electrical work. John and Marcus offered an initial design, and they were very responsive when we spent several weeks going back and forth adjusting the design, moving appliances, etc. They worked with us to craft a design we were very happy with and implemented our requested changes well throughout the design process. They offered a very competitive price that respected the original budget we discussed with them.We started demolition on our old kitchen right as the COVID-19 pandemic was picking up steam in the Washington metro area, and after demolition was complete we asked Home Design to pause the project for several months because we were not comfortable having contractors in our home. John and team were supportive of this decision; over the next three months, they reached out periodically to see if our calculus had changed, offering ideas for safety measures we could implement, but never pressuring us to make a decision we were uncomfortable with. When Virginia moved to a phased reopening in June, we were excited to get back to work with them. It took their crew about three weeks to complete the project from there. We found overall communication before and during the project to be good. Our main contractor on-site, Eddy, was great at communicating what supplies we needed to provide and asking questions to make sure the work was exactly as we wanted it.We absolutely love the final results. John and Marcus recommended a gorgeous line of white cabinets, and we chose a beautiful quartz from their showroom, which has a great selection. John genuinely wants to build a relationship with his clients. He takes the time to listen to you and address your concerns. When appropriate, he will also give additional recommendations. My parents had their countertops and backsplash replaced - they did a fantastic job! Home Design also has their own small gallery and fabricates their own granite, stone, etc, so you do not have to deal with another company. This saved us a lot of time and money. As other clients have noted, they are very reasonably priced. I will be contacting them again for future projects.
