Me and my mother were really stressed out about our move until we met Sherman Newman ! We went into the storage one day and met Sherman and he has been nothing short of amazing! Very professional and knowledgeable . He took so much time with us to show us around to different units and the one he suggested to us was literally the perfect fit for everything we moved into storage . He made sure we had the perfect unit that best fit our budget. He definitely knows his job very well . His bubbly personality is definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen ! Great experience! Customer service was excellent. The space is safe, quiet, and highly secured. Easy to use facility with elevators, equipment to assist in moving in, clean, and they even play some nice light music! The prices were modest, no contract, and easy online payment. All of my items were 100% in top shape when I moved out due to their climate control. If you need a place to store, give them a try.

Clean, convenient, friendly, and helpful. Not sure I could ask or expect anything more out of self-storage. Used a few units to store stuff before a move, Extra Space on 55 made it super easy. I appreciated that the front desk noticed when my movers arrived and, without me even asking, set the double doors near my unit to stay open so we didnt have to manually open the doors with every load - super courteous. The building is new and in good shape, the inside is kept cool and well lit, the overhang/awning is a lifesaver since you can easily load and unload in the shade or out of the rain. Check in and check out was also totally painless. Highly recommend!

I came to this location about 2 weeks ago to rent a storage unit. I was going to complete the application online but changed my mind & did it onsite with the assistance of Oneal. He was very polite & explained the contract to me.I had to upgrade to a larger storage unit yesterday. Oneal made the change from a smaller to larger unit very easy & quick. Once again, he was polite & courteous. I was able to get an unit on the same floor, on the next row. Oneal is the best!

Nice new facility didnt like that anybody can go in the property no gate code anybody can ride through and restrooms look like they hadnt been cleaned in months

My nephew, Miguel closed out of his two units today due to a recent move. Sherman and the team at the NC55 location were beyond courteous, and provided the best customer service. They communicated every step of the way up to move out, and were there to greet us and ensure we had everything we needed for move out. They were accommodating to our moving company, and provided helpful tips of the best direction to park and unload. The moving carts are a plus- and a huge asset! The facility was spotless and clean! I wish I could give a higher than 5 rating because this team goes above and beyond! On 9/5/2020 I moved from another state to Durham NC in which Ive a Sherman as my point of contact. He even said he will provide me with a lock so I didnt have to purchase one. I made several call to the emergency number they have outside and all told me that they couldnt do anything but leave message on the store manager voice mail.After requesting to speak to management and asking for corporate number I was told they didnt have a number. So. Sherman finally shows up after 3 hours asking me how do iwant to rectify this in which HE should be telling what they are going to be doing for ME. After waiting with my kids hungry as hell and hot all extra storage space is willing to do is feed us some cookout and comp my storage for two months???Not willing to compensate the cost for my movers have not did a follow-up call JUST HORRIBLE!!! When I first called trying to reserve a unit, Rick did not seem to customer friendly. It couldve been that he was in a bad mood. I called a couple of hours later to get the process going on getting a unit and his personality flipped. He was friendly, knowledgeable, sociable, and even witty. I received my unit for a great price and Rick was very helpful the second time around and when I went to access my unit for the first time.

I contacted the number to my local facility to inquire about their rates and services. The reservation specialist was very polite and answered all of my questions. She referred my information to the local store and explained someone would be contacting me in about 30 minutes to finalize my reservation. I was contacted by Rick (manager) within 5 minutes. He was very courteous and professional. Rick has a great sense of humor and down to earth personality. I was able to get an incredible deal on my unit and the first month free. Im never against saving money :-) Rick was able to walk me through the entire process (over the phone) as the contract had to be completed online due to COVID-19/social distancing. Literally, all I had to do was agree to the terms, sign electronically, pay, and show up with my stuff. Rick escorted me to the unit after ensuring the access code worked properly. The facility was very clean and well lit. The large elevator allowed me to easily get to my unit. Reserving a last minute storage unit was truly painless at Extra Space Storage. Just leased a unit at this location. The site is brand new and clean. Access in and out is secure but easy with pass codes to get in the building and owner locks for the units. There is a covered loading area.Thurston, the attendant was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was given a tour and shown how to access the building. The leasing process was quick and easy.

He had me check my access code twice to make sure that it registered on both entry doors. The facility is immaculate and very secure (plenty of video surveillance). Apparently, I made my reservation on the wrong day. Chris was very rude and impatient. It was quite clear he did want to take the time to show me the 3 units I requested to view when I made the initial reservation. I needed a space the same day. I was ready with items packed in the uhaul and helpers waiting to unload. After Chris was so rude I opted to take my business else where. I will not spend my money at an establishment that has terrible customer service. This has been a total inconvenience to me and my family. I do not recommend this place.
