Immaculately clean space, courteous and super efficient staff. The price is reasonable for the size unit, with a/c (!), that I rent to hold the archived papers and back stock for my small, local business. As an early riser, I really appreciate being able to access my space at 7:00 in the morning!

I’ve had an account at this location since October. I’m normally a pay and go customer but when I walk in too pay my bill monthly ( not to mention that they also give me a call monthly because I forget to come in to pay my bill 🤦🏾‍♂️ because it’s $5 more to pay online) I always leave out with a smile because we’ve had a good conversation! I recommend THIS location because the owners and employees are good people . And the storage itself I’ve had no problems!

Our family spent 5+ years in the Durham/Duke area using this clean and safe facility. We grew to know the owners, who never hesitated to go out of their way to help us. Theyre kind and caring people who always had a smile and knew exactly who we were. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye, but we cannot recommend them enough!

When I first utilized this facility in 2015, it was called Uncle Bobs Storage and I found the customer service to be great. Norma Jeanne was a pleasure to work with and most helpful all the time. So when I found a need to utilize a storage facility again in 2017, I did not hesitate to follow-up with Uncle Bob and was told that they would be changing their name to Life Storage. This time, I met Chris and he was the same as Norma Jeanne, a pleasure to work with and also very helpful. I thought for a moment I would always think of them as Uncle Bob but now I see that the new name Life Storage is very appropriate because they will have me as a customer for LIFE whenever I have a need for a storage facility as they have always exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend you check them out and is very confident they will give you all that you are looking for and more!!! I view them as part of my extended family. I have rented from them for 3 months and the custoner service has been nice! My card did not go through for my monthly payment and they gave me a courtesy call to avoid the late fee... Thats good customer service! I wish the gate hours were a little longer but its for safety I assume! I would recommend this place.

After calling two other storage facilities today and not receiving good customer service, I really appreciated walking into this one and being treated so well. The lady who set up my reservation for my moving truck was so sweet and caring. She asked so many times if I had anymore questions and what she could assist me with. Chris, who helped me when I arrived, was really thorough in explaining the policy and procedures and was so pleasant. There were no issues at all!

I recently moved from Durham to Chapel Hill and needed a quality storage facility for my items. This facility did not disappoint. The facility is kept in pristine condition. What sold me on this particular facility was the customer service I received. They were courteous, answered all questions, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure the process of storing my items went smoothly. I would rate 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

So I stopped by Life Storage store 176 at the E. Cornwallis location and spoke with Mrs. Jeanne and Ms. Charnele about getting a storage space. They willingly showed me different size spaces to see what would work best for me which was great. They treated me as if we have know each other forever. But even though they did not have the size storage space I needed they still told me about the truck, the security, being pro-rated, the merchandise they had to offer and of course the online review. They asked me for my contact information and gave me a walk in sheet and said that as soon as a large humidity control unit that I am looking for comes available they will be sure to give me a call. The staff here was amazing and I will definitely be looking forward to hearing from them again. I will be sure to let everyone know about Life Storage store 176.

When my wife and I found ourselves unloading a large truck of our daughters belongings at Uncle Bobs (1200 E. Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC) recently on an extremely hot day, the store manager, Ms. Dabney, came down to check on us, transported us to her air conditioned office and provided us with water and Gatorade. Frankly, she may have saved us from heat stroke.The facilities were clean and well-maintained. Although there can be no guarantee against the criminal acts of third parties, we perceived that our daughters possessions were safe in that location.Overall, it was an extremely positive experience.
