We have been very pleased with our use of Ample Storage. We feel there is adequate security and there is much access to our unit. Our unit was very clean when we rented it. We had a small problem with the door but it was fixed very quickly and correctly. Highly recommend Ample Storage.

Ive used this storage center several times over the years. Its quick and easy to get a unit of the size you want. Location is easy to get to and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Mark Knight has always been courteous and extraordinarily helpful. The unit, while well-protected, is very easy to access. I wish all storage facilities and their managers were this helpful. This is a great place to store your belongings. I cant imagine anyone being more helpful or courteous, or facilities being any easier to use. No, theres no place for garbage, but that is true of all storage facilities, and not the fault of this place or its manager. I highly recommend it.

I have been using this storage facility for 3+ years now. The manager on site, Mark, has always been receptive and helpful. He was especially considerate of my storage needs these last couple of weeks. I have recommended this facility to friends and they are very happy as well. Mark and Bridget have been exceptionally great to work with. The facility is clean, convenient, and easy to use. Their lease and customer relation system is simple and very effective. Will definitely contact then again when I need storage or a temporary workshop.

Ample relieved so much of the stress associated with relocating! Having unloaded items designated for our temporary arrangement, our movers proceeded to Ample to unload. Our stuff, however, exceeded the capacity of our reserved unit. I phoned Mark@ Ample, who immediately opened a second unit for us very close by. What I thought was going to be a 6 month arrangement storing in their climate-controlled, secured setting with Ample turned into more than 2 years with construction delays. No problem for Ample; they helped every step of the way. We were totally satisfied and do highly recommend Ample to you!

They have a variety of storage sizes, a nice office where you can purchase supplies however it took the girl an hour and a half to set us up and then two tries to get us an empty bay. It took a reboot of the system to get our code to work. Otherwise nice facility.

I have been very pleased with Ample Storage on Hillsborough Road. The facility is neat and clean and the manager has been very helpful. My unit is in a nice area so I always feel safe. I am glad I chose to rent here and would recommend this location.

If youre looking for climate controlled storage at a reasonable price - this is the place! Its a little off the beaten track, but its clean and nice. Part of the rental price goes for insurance (mine was $10), which I liked, and you will be provided a nice lock.

Have been with Ample Storage (Hillsborough Rd.) for six years now. Mark has been wonderful and patient, as I have been late on payments more often than want to admit.I would definitely recommend them and this location any time...

Very friendly staff and they worked and helped me out a lot.

Hot hot or cold cold. Units are rows deep in a tin/metal building with few climate control units. Zero lighting (none, pitch black dark units. Need multiple strong lights to bring with you). Management is one rude, lazy, typical Durham tude, unhelpful. Is no trash. No dumpster, not even a waste basket (yeah really, nowhere for trash.) Pitiful.

From the first call to discuss the arrangements, to the final day of moving my stuff into our home, the services and assistance were outstanding. The storage area was quite adequate; the space was clean and easy to manage the locking process.

Mark Knight was annoying and condescending to deal with over a change of contact request. Maybe hes better in person since I see other positive reviews which surprise me. I cant comment on the actual storage service.

Everything looked like it was going to work out fabulously, until I drove to the facility and discovered they were not open, as the web site said...Just lost my business...forever.

Ive been at Ample Storage Hillsborough for over 2 years.PROS: Management has always given me a fail deal. Recently I moved out of one of my storage units. I should have given them two weeks notice before I moved out. But I didnt know I was going to move out until a day after the new month. So I was 15 days behind when I was supposed to give notice in order to not have to pay an extra month. Mark was very accommodating and actually didnt make me pay the extra month, even though the contract was very clear that I was supposed to. Given the extenuating circumstances, he made an exception. I really appreciated that.Previously around the early 2015 time frame I believe, there was an issue where a number of storage unit sites in the area including this one were broken into. My unit was not broken into. However Mark went out of his way to call me and let me know the site was broken into and that my unit was not affected, even though it was in the same hall where I think 3 others were broken into. The ones that were broken into did not have the big round locks they recommend (GET THE BIG LOCKS!). I really appreciate Mark going out of his way to giving me the courtesy of letting me know this happened which he didnt have to.In my experiences with Mark he seems like a sincere though no-frills kind of guy that is a straight shooter and is reliable based on his word.The southern property at this site is newer and the units there are quite niceCONS: Some of the units at this site are behind gates and part are not. RENT IN THE GATED AREA. It was the ungated area that was broken into in 2015. If you rent in the ungated area, The only thing someone has to do to break is is break the glass and someone can reach in and open the door. (They still have to break the lock on your storage unit). The combination of glass on the door (why not just get doors with no glass?) and no gate make this particular part of the building too easy a target for thieves. However if you are renting in the gated area I think it is secure as there is no glass on the doors and there are combos both on the gate and on the doors. (This part is actually MORE secure than many other storage companies places that have a combo only on the gate and not on the doors)Multiple times there has been 80s rock / pop music in the main customer area that is too loud and is distracting and makes it hard to concentrate when talking to the associates. I recommend making this a bit more professional and turning off the music or turning it WAY down from where it has sometimes been to improve the image of the company.Overall Im giving this place 4 stars because despite the ungated area being a little less secure than I prefer, the gated southern property is more secure than most. Also, my experience with the manager Mark, who has been there the whole time Ive been there over 2+ years, is that I have confidence in him and he has done what he said he was going to do, gave me a break on an extenuating circumstance he didnt have to, and went out of his way to call me when I needed to be notified.

Got there just after 9am on Saturday waited until 9:15ish and still no employees showed up so I left and took my business to uncle bobs. Atleast there employees show up on time.
