By far the BEST small business furniture store in the Northeast. Great quality, professionalism, and very important delivery was 10+++ stars. The guys lead by John are very respectful of your home and they know how to move furniture. I love my pieces and am very pleased with all aspects of this business. Jim the owner is great and Elaine does a fantastic job with helping design. Mark the sales manager is willing to go above and beyond.

We had a great experience at Bell and I was surprised to see the negative reviews. Mark was very helpful and gave a great deal on a quality Amish made solid cherry bedroom set. They had a great selection. We needed the furniture loaded into a moving pod for moving out of state and they wrapped the furniture meticulously. Mark even came to the pod to help make sure it was loaded well. Every piece of furniture arrived in perfect condition. Quality furniture is not cheap but it’s clear the quality will last a lifetime.

Great experience shopping there. The sales person was knowledgeable and friendly. They have quite a wide range of furniture manufacturers and fabric selections. It’s nice to see a family-owned local furniture store still in business when it seems like all we have left is the big box corporate stores. I highly recommend Bell!

We are new to the area and had to furnish our entire home. Mark was our associate. He is very knowledgeable about the different brands of furniture and steered us in the right direction. He was always pleasant, dependable, and trustworthy. We are very particular about quality and are happy with all the pieces we purchased. We had the same deliverymen every time. John, Paul, and Neil were always professional and polite. They were extremely careful with the furniture and removed their shoes every single time they entered our home. Excellent customer service! The salesman really knew about the quality and craftsmanship of the products. He also helped pick out the colors/patterns and explained how some would work and others wouldnt. I also like that everything is made in the USA.

After reading the review from Erin who decided to give a business a bad review without even dealing with the business, I’m giving them a 5 star review before I even enter. My wife and I will be down tonight to pick out some furniture.

Have never even been inside this store, but read the Google reviews just now. Judging by the way the business responded to negative reviews (with incorrect spelling, grammar, and immature replies), I was convinced it would be a mistake to ever step foot in this facility or talk to these people. They present themselves very poorly on the internet; I would not trust them.

I went into Bell Furniture on a whim. I’d seen the place in passing before and decided to go in. At first, I didn’t see anyone inside. It wasn’t until I was halfway to the back of the store, that I saw an older lady seated at a desk. I wasn’t sure she even worked there until she spouted out “What do you want?” Perhaps, she realized the words rolling off her lips may not have been so appropriate to say to a potential customer, so she quickly followed up with a rushed “How may I help you?” I was taken aback. I’d never been greeted this way anywhere else. But I played it off, taking it in stride and replied that I was just looking and I proceeded to do just that. She said nothing else, although she kept her eye on me. As I made my way to the rear of the store, she went into the other half of the store front to a back room area where 2 men were discussing business. As I walked into the other half as well I over heard her say to them “I don’t want to deal with this today…” I lost the rest of what she said and their replies as I moved toward the front of their second room. The gist of it became obvious as the 2 men stepped out into the first room to continue their conversation. The woman made sure she checked on me by peaking around the corner until I looked at her. I decided at that point it was time to leave. I left the store the way I came and bade the woman a good day. I could talk about their inventory and prices but that service kind of defeats that point. I’m not sure what she thought I was planning on stealing in a furniture store but I’m pretty sure that nothing in there would have been easily concealed under my jacket. I could not imagine trying to explain to the police how a nightstand wound up under my coat. Given this experience, I don’t think I could recommend Bell Furniture to anyone.

My one star is misleading, if it were possible to give this business negative 5 stars I would, and I do. From the countless times that Ive seen the owner close the doors of his own business in order to, ?metaphorically?, get on his knees to service lower level local government workers to benefit his own needs, to the countless times that Ive found a cut and paste tow warning on the windshield of my car for parking in a CITY OWNED parking lot, and continuing with the recent news that hes purchased said parking lot. And he has the nerve to claim that the purchase of this property, any of his property purchases, will benefit the downtown Wilkes-Barre community. This is the business equivalent of Get off my lawn!, except, its not Bell Furnitures lawn. Its Downtown Wilkes-Barres lawn. Its the courthouse lawn, its the dance schools lawn, its the karate schools lawn, its the ice cream shops lawn, its every other downtown business lawn. And I didnt even need to look at the reviews on this page to know what a pile of garbage Bell Furniture is, but Im happy I did.

I would never buy another piece of furniture from Bell Furniture again. My Husband and I purchased a Elran Home Theater Group from here in August 2011. In January 2013 the leather started ripping, mind you only my Husband and I sit on this furniture on a daily basis and we have no animals. I contacted Bell Furniture and they told me someone would get back to me. In January 2016 my Husband took photos of the furniture and we sent the photos in an email & message on Facebook and we never heard from bell. Apparently Bell Furniture does not have good customer relationships after you purchase an item from them. After spending $1,995.00 on a 4 piece theater group it should have lasted longer than 2 years. We still have 3 of the pieces and the 1 was so bad we had to throw it away. No one sits on this furniture as we went and purchased 2 chairs for ourselves. We have a large leather sectional that we purchased over 15 years ago that is used daily and it looks brand new yet( we did not purchase this sectional from Bell Furniture). Do not believe their commercial quality furniture. If their furniture was quality as they claim it to be, I believe someone would have contacted us.

No way this buisness generates any income, the service is terrible and there is never anyone in there so I assume they must be making money by selling drugs out of that parking lot next to the store

Outdated store. Outdated furniture. Outdated understanding of how word of mouth advertising works.Social media reviews will be here forever. Your existing customers wont be. Good will sells furniture. NIMBY tactics and poor neighborly manners wont.This is reviewing Bell Furniture not only for their products (see above) but also for their customer service, which is lacking. Insulting, rude, presumtuous, petty, small, and ignorant. This is how the ownership treats customers. Caveat emptor.
