I have purchased many appliances from this store. One of those appliances was a $3,000, coin operated commercial washer and dryer. This machine has never worked right and has been randomly stopping mid-cycle while leaving the door locked. I have to crawl behind the machine to unplug it in order to reset it. Then it will work again for a while. Ive had silica come and look at it and they have done some minor warranty work but have never fixed the issue. The issue still persists exactly the same as it has from the beginning but now is out of warranty and I guess I am stuck with it. I have told this to the service department several times, each time they assure me that they will look into it and get back to me. They never have. I guess I am stuck with the lemon they sold me.

In 2015, we purchased from Silica Watertown about $10,000 of new appliances to furnish a home we had just acquired. The experience was pleasant and there were minimal “bumps” in the road to a furnished kitchen and laundry room. Although not primary to the sale, employee Rick Dewitt provided support to the primary sales person at the time.Naturally, Silica was our first choice as we considered a minor renovation of our kitchen here in 2021. We were quickly turned over to Rick for our needs. Rick was pleasant to deal with and fairly knowledgeable for three pieces that interested us—a cooktop, vent hood and wine refrigerator. He provided us with specification documents on two cooktop options and the vent hood.At home we discovered the standard vent hood option would not fit in our existing cabinet set. I called Rick and asked if he could find out whether the manufacturer could do custom sizing. He committed to asking the “owner’s son” and to get back to me. More than a week went by and no return call from Rick. Disappointed, I called the manufacturer myself and in short order had a custom quote tailored to our kitchen.I then emailed Rick noting I had secured the answer myself and asked another question about the grates supplied with the Bosch cooktop under consideration. He replied once again that he would look into it and get back to me. It has now been more than five weeks and we’ve yet to receive a response from him. In the meantime, my frustration with this poor service led me to another supplier and our cooktop is ordered from them.These are the facts of the experience without bias.Silica sales employees work on commission. I can only surmise that Rick cares more about the commission than the service work that earns it. Needless to say, Silica is no longer our first choice in appliances.

We have bought multiple appliances from Silica and their service is always great. They are very informative and let you know all the feature about each product without being pushy. Installation is easy to schedule and they take away your old appliances hassle free. I highly recommend.

My wife and I recently purchased a new electric range from Silica and were very pleased with our experience. Our appliance and installation fee were reasonably priced, and we were easily able to schedule a convenient installation time. The guys who came to install it were fast and friendly, in and out in about 15 minutes. Very easy to work with from beginning to end, and we would happily recommend them to anyone.

Called to get our Gas Clothes Dryer serviced. First question they asked was if I bought it there. When I said no they said they would not come out to fix it. I bought our washer there a couple of years ago, I guess that doesnt matter. If this was unserviceable I would have bought a new Dryer from them.Now we will never buy from them again!!!

We purchased a new dishwasher (Bosch) Tom K. and Denny S. came to install it. But there was a problem due to our counter height. Needless to say it wouldn’t fit. So Denny said he would check sizes to find one that would fit. To make a long story short we now have an LG installed by them. They were polite, helpful and professional. We are very pleased.

I have purchased different appliances from this store. I have always had good service. They know about the items they sell. The delivery people, Joel and Kevin, were wonderful. Friendly, helpful with questions, and did a great leveling my new oven. I have an old house and the floors are not very level. My oven is standing solid.

Fantastic local business with great options and superb customer service! We ordered all new appliances through them after my mother-in-law’s recommendation (she has used them for years). They were incredibly helpful, had a great selection and went above and beyond to help us get what we needed, store it, and pay. I can’t say enough about them- especially compared to big box stores. My experience with Silica has been great. The have no pressure, friendly, knowledgeable, sales persons. I recently purchased a dishwasher and they removed & took the old one with them, delivered & installed the new one, all in less than an hour! The installation technician was knowledgeable, polite, courteous, and skilled at his job. I have purchased a gas range and a refrigerator from them in the past, and have not had any problems with those appliances, but feel very confident in their ability to repair the if it would ever be needed. All the personnel at Silica have gone above and beyond in accommodating our need for a refrigerator, stove and micro as weve had a most negative experience with Sears/Kenmore. Weve dealt directly with Rick, Don and John at our store in Watertown and found them to be patient and helpful. Mark and Rusty were here this morning to install our microwave which required some outside carpentry work before completing the installation. Another 2 men delivered and installed our refrigerator and stove two days ago. All were exceptionally careful and timely. Fingers crossed our appliances will perform as well as the people weve dealt with. As for pricing, Silica will match a lower price. When paying for our appliances, we were pleasantly surprised to save almost $400. on an item when their system automatically matched another retailer. Weve heard good things about this family owned local company which is a big reason we bought from them. Well see....fingers crossed.

Just went into the store and picked out a dishwasher, the sale tag stated that delivery and installation is $69.95. I was told that the deliver and installation is $150.00 and the tag (as well as half the tags in that area of the store) was not supposed to display that lower price. The sales associate called his supervisor and I was told “You’re going to have to go to Home Depot”. The location will not honor their displayed prices, or work with you. I suggest going somewhere where they care.

Ordered complete kitchen set of appliances. Measured refrigerator wrong. Not only did they give me a loaner but were very pleasant and helpful in any way they could. Delivery people were so careful with the appliances and the new home they were delivering to. Thanks Joel and Blaine and everyone else involved. Would purchase there again

Friendly service they were not pushy on buying anything. Helped me lock in a sale price on the item I was looking for. Came back a few days later to buy it and it was delivered with in a few days right on time even called in advance to let us know they were on the way.

Our delivery guys, Joel & Mark ST were prompt, knowledgeable and very friendly. Appreciate that they suggested we replace part of the hookup that (we were unaware) was leaking.

I like to shop local. The staff here had no idea where the item was I wanted and made a call to the buyer who was unavailable. So they took my number to get back to me but still haven’t 10 days later. I went to another local business.

I went to Menards (I should know better) to buy a dishwasher that I had researched. I stood in line for fifteen minutes, only to learn they dont install them. On the way home I spotted SILICA in Watertown, so I stopped in. They had an amazing selection of quality appliances, including the dishwasher I wanted! They gave me an awesome price, I was in and out in less than ten minutes, and my new washer was professionally installed exactly when I wanted it, by a great installer with 16 years of experience. Next time I need a new appliance, this will be my place to go!
