Ive have been taking our familys four cars to Sam at Midas for quite a few years now and I felt it was time to let everyone know how thankful I am to have found a mechanic that I can trust to tell it to me straight. I know that I will get an honest assessment of the problem without being taken advantage of. I really appreciate and highly recommend Sam and the whole staff at Midas on Maple.

I always get great service when I go to Myers. Fresh hot coffee and the smell of fresh rubber. Don’t judge me judge your mom. LOL

Norm is a price gouging typical slimey auto shop owner. He will do what ever to inflate the price to stupid ranges. Highly dont recommend.

Only have two words: trust and honesty.I made the service of my car yesterday and since begining Sam already said that he could look bht would do just what he could do. Also i said that i think i needed to change the brakes, they have a look and said no you do not need to change now this last part says it all.

Great service and staff, very knowledgeable. They save me $20 on a specific labor cost but ended up using that 20 on an Uber ride home down the street, would of walked but it was raining. Would of given 5stars if they told me about their shuttle service which I wasnt aware of till it was time to pick up my car. Otherwise great people!

Completely unprofessional and over charge for vehicle repair. While selling my Toyoto camry 2004 they quoted very low and also they were asking me to come next day. This behavior continued for next 2 days. Finally when I refuse to sell to them, they told move your car immediately otherwise they will tow away. Finally sold my car for 3X times more than Midas offered.

Great neighborhood shop for all types for work on your ride, helped me with a performance muffler upgrade on my GT Mustang, really good work and fair. Highly recommended if you need any work on your car.

I got brakes here just under a year ago now my trucks at Ford because the caliper blew out in the middle of interstate 65 Dont get that less than a year old

Sam and crew have always been there for me with very fair repair costs, and nothing extra that I dont need. Repairs are always performed quickly and I have never had an issue. My car is a 13 yr old Honda, and it hums, thanks to Sam & Crew at Midas on Maple Road in Troy!

I brought my car in yesterday to address a slow leak and check the brakes. I picked up my car and as soon as I got to the light on Maple at Crooks I could no longer shift into 1st or 2nd gear. Anyone who drives a manual knows that engaging the clutch from 3rd is difficult, and not good for the transmission. I brought it back and they discovered that the brake cleaner bottle cap had fallen on top of the transmission, blocking the gear shift from moving properly. Someone had left the cap on top of the engine and it fell in. This careless and negligent move put me in a very dangerous situation as not being able to use the lower gears make the car incredibly difficult to drive. While I am happy they repaired the issue at no cost, there was no apology or attempt to remedy the situation outside of removing the cap from the trans. There could be damage to my transmission or clutch that is not apparent at the moment...who knows. But I do know that this was pure negligence and the lack of apology is even more astounding. I hope there was no damage but I would recommend avoiding this Midas. People make mistakes...but the lack of apology or attempt to remedy as someone who had just spent hundreds is plenty for me to take my business elsewhere.

I hate when I have a car issue, but I know that when I do, everything will be alright. This Midas location gives me that peace of mind. I can’t say enough good things about this Midas. I have had my cars serviced here for years after trying several other auto shops when I first moved to the Detroit area. I haven’t ever had an issue they could not fix and Sam and the guys don’t cut any corners. Fair prices, and most notably, they know foreign cars. Probably adds a bit to the labor time/cost, but where other shops that specialize in German cars would charge you as much as they can, Midas does honest work, and everyone there that I have spoken to is always extremely helpful. I recommend this location to anyone I know that needs work done on their car and you should highly consider going if you are ever in need of any auto services. Thanks again fellas! Been going to this location for nearly eight years, it has always had a great and humble staff who really understand you. Theyve been patient with me through just about every car problem imaginable and helped me keep calm and work things out every single time. Theyll work with you even if you cant adequately explain whats wrong. One time I had to take a ride with an employee for one perceived minor issue only for our conversation to pin down a real problem and solution to a totally different issue I had ignored for years. Theyve also leveled with me many times on repairs I should do in order of importance, back when I couldnt afford every fix I needed on my daily driver. Ive been to my cars dealership and other places but none as often as this one Midas. When you go here, be aware that theyre often busy. Be as patient with them as they are with you. You will not be disappointed.

Full synthetic oil change is cheaper hear than the Belle tire next door ($60 at Midas, 100$ at BT). I was in and out in 22 minutes, by far the fastest oil change Ive ever had.

Sam and the guys are just awesome! They have been my mechanics for about 7 years now. I dont trust anyone else with my vehicle.

Nice customer service. I went to them on a Saturday morning with all my engine lights on and has lots of issues.. Even they are in busy schedule, they took me in and resolved all the issues in my minivan. I had issues on engine, rear heater, wheel alignment. etc.... Also changed couple of tires too. All these works done on the same day and my minivan looks great.

Got the job done professionally. Sam broke done the pricing with me before the job was completed. Great customer service.UPDATEMidas had notified me of a change needed to one of my brake pads. I told them I would get it done since I had brake pads at home. When I finally got around to changing them, I removed the tire and noticed that the lower caliper guide pin bolt was missing and the upper one was loose. Very disappointed that they forgot to tighten the bolts when reattaching my tire.

They could have taken me for a ride, I was willing to spend a lot and they were up front and told me I didnt need a new exhaust. They did a quick repair, $50 and 20 minutes later I was rolling down the road again. Im coming back!

I needed 3 bulbs replaced on my import. After about an hour of trying to do it myself, I called the dealership, thinking that would be safest bet. The price they quoted was much higher than what I expected for bulb replacement, and, fortunately for me, they were booked up. I decided to try my favorite Midas location on Maple Rd., and not only did they have the bulbs, but they replaced them in about 15 - 20 minutes for a fraction of the dealership price. Should have just gone to Midas first.

Went in after a HORRIBLE experience the previous day at another mechanic. I was practically in tears when I came to ask them to fix my car (again, since it was never fixed in the first place). They diagnosed the issue and had my vehicle fixed in 1/3 of the time that the other place took. I believe I was in and out within 2 hours throughout the entire process. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I was even offered a loaner vehicle to go anywhere I needed to go while I waited for my repairs to be done. I was pretty shaken up after the incident at the other shop and was leery about anyone else servicing my vehicle, but they gave me my peace of mind back. Its been almost a week now and my car is running great. No issues have arose since then. I plan to return to them for any and all repairs I may need in the future. I definitely recommend these guys.

I spent SO much money here and my car still doesn’t even run correctly. I’m disappointed beyond belief, mostly in myself for getting hustled into paying so much for things that probably didn’t even need to get replaced.

Very trustworthy service, saved my day! After going to Pep Boys on 14 mile road in Clawson and getting rep off and not fixing my problem. Pep Boys told I had a muffler problem that they could not fix and told I needed to go to a muffler shop, they charged me $520 & didn’t fix the problem that I went in for. Midas toldme that I didn’t have a muffler problem but I had a front wheel bearing problem that was causing the noiseand that my front tire could have came off. They replaced it and the noise problem was gone and I was back on the road in 1 hour. Pep Boys had my SUV for a day and half. Will never go back to Pep Boys again.I will always go to Midas in Troy.Thanks for your Great Service and friendly staff .Ronald Dunlap

Expensive repair (Y pipe w/O2 sensors) but everything on vehicles is expensive these days. Very professional attitude and apparently a good repair. Have had no problems.

Called 3 nearer stores. They were able to get me in and out same day for a good price. They called me an Uber to get me going while I was being repaired and another brought me back when they were done.

Midas is the worst company I ever gave my car to last year they asked $400 for my right rear brake and this year they asked another $400 for another part of my right rear brake I hope they enjoyed their paydays off me will never use them again they are a bunch of ripoffs

As a busy on the road rep, I called ahead, made an appt to get a new muffler installed. Not only did they do the work in about 40 min, they also took the time to add some belt dressing to get rid of the squeak. Now my car is whisper quiet again. Like new!!!! Great work guys.. had several cars in here over the years and NEVER had any issues.... Keep up the good work.

Quick and clean, this place has saved me literal hundreds. While a place like Firestone would rob me blind not a care in the world. This place is quality, and I will be damned before I go anywhere else.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They only want people to drop off the vehicle and pay for whatever they say is wrong. I asked a few simple questions and to be shown the play in my upper control arm and the response i was given was well if you dont want to do it then you can take it home. I came in for an alignment after already having suspension work done at another shop. The reason i asked to be shown the play in the tire is because i had just had the upper control arm fixed and it was still under warranty at another shop. Very rude there. Just another case of a shop treating women like they have no clue.

I was quoted $80 at the most depending on the amount of bending required in the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe they put on my car was a straight piece about 12 inches long, and the guy charged me $80. They also installed the wrong size pipe (diameter too small by .5 inch).I asked if they could correct the pipe diameter issue, and they did the work without question, which is awesome. However, due to laziness or lack of foresight the exhaust pipe is hanging about four inches lower than it used to, and Im worried its going to bottom out one day.

I love the service and they are VERY HONEST

Brought my car in. It had a leak in the fuel filter. They told me the fuel pump would need to be replaced, costing more than $1,000. I ended up replacing just the fuel filter myself for like $40. Its been a year and I havent had a problem since. Maybe its store policy that they had to replace fuel pump whenever they replace fuel filter, or maybe they were just telling a lie in order to take money from me. Either way, I dont feel comfortable going to a place that cares so little about its customers.

They pushed me to replace my brake rotors too (even though another mechanic said I just needed new brake pads). That said, I have no issues with my brakes. Due to time pressure I had to do it here, and paid a lot more than necessary.

I have taken my vehicles here for quite some time now, they are very honest and do not try to get you to buy things or service you dont need. I definitely recommend them.

Walked in Friday 9/02/16 and was told they couldnt look at my leaking tire till next Tuesday. Polite and apologetic but really? F for failure.

Took ages for them to even get to my car and when they finally did, they test drove it and couldnt feel what I feel Everytime I drive my car.

I have been going here for years now, and it began where I practically begged them to replace my brakes because of a very loud squeel Midas informed me it would be a waste of money. I had a feeling the squeel was the cheap pads I put on myself. I went back when they finally did wear out and they put on Bendix pads with lifetime warranty, what a difference! Other places Im sure would have replaced the brakes pre-maturely and took my $.Great prices and service, Kevin is always a pleasure to deal with and provides options that fit my budget and schedule great. If you need any repairs or preventive care done to your car, go to this Midas and you will NOT be disappointed. Car repairs suck but knowing the right place to go makes it much less stressful.
