This incident bothered me so much that I had to post it. And it happened quite a while back. And factually youre reading something by someone who was a manager for Goodyear for years. I took the word of the mechanic who replaced the parts that I just installed in my own vehicle. In the end I speak the truth, I was lied to and the repair was extremely expensive. I determined I was lied to after the job had been done and paid for and then was shown why the parts were replaced and it was nothing but a con job. I did make the promise to myself that if this companys name ever surfaced I would speak my mind. Until now I kept my mouth shut. This is not a trustworthy business from my perspective.

We went to Mastertech for a second opinion after we had another local auto shop tell us we needed several repairs on our vehicle that didn’t seem necessary. Everyone there is so professional, polite and honest. They’ll never tell you you need something you don’t rand when you leave you know your car or truck is truly in better shape then it was when you dropped it off. Thanks for providing a reliable local place for car repairs and maintenance.

This is the only place I have taken my vehicle for over a decade and I will continue to do so. Ive not only bought a car from Mastertech but have also had multiple other vehicles that I have owned serviced and repaired. I trust their work and pricing. Even thought they are probably not the cheapest in town, it is well worth it to me for the quality of work and the relationship I have developed with them over the years. They are dog-friendly, so I have met so many cute puppies while waiting for my car over the years. Kelley goes out of her way to be fair and transparent with everyone. Ive referred countless people to Mastertech over the years because I appreciate them so much. Yay, Mastertech!

We’ve taken quite a few vehicles to Mastertech and they’ve done everything for us from inspection to power steering to transmission replacement. We’ve always gotten quick, reasonable and courteous service. Very much recommend!

We were on a long trip and our check engine light came on. We called them while on the road and they were able to take us in and read the codes and help figure out the issue. They were very helpful and even pointed us on where to go next if we had any more trouble on the road.

Took them a 93 mazda miata that died while driving down the road. with-out asking what motor was in it, i was told its a interference engine, FUN FACT - its NOT! i told them i personally put a water pump, timing belt and some other things. instantly they said it was the timing belt and with it being a interference engine ill need a new one. i asked to them to look at it anyways. a week later i get a text out of time, you want a price for a new engine. when i went to pick it up it was in the same spot i left it, i towed it home and i checked the timing belt. TURNS OUT THEY DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT IT. to get to the timing belt one has to pull the top radiator hose, when i did that coolant ran out, proving they did nothing. at least they slightly made up for their incompetence by not charging me anything.

Been going to this place for years, as its the best in the area to get your vehicle worked on as they offer good quality for reasonable prices. And they are honest in their work, which is what I look forward to the most in any mechanic shop.

They were very thoughtful and helped me take care of my car, even though the prognosis was not good. They gave me great service and gave me very reasonable prices for work they did and searched for cheaper options so I wouldnt have to break the bank when I informed them I didnt have a lot of money to spend. They got my car back on the road when I needed it most. I am in the process of moving. I appreciate the help they gave very much! We have been here 3 times with two different vehicles. Very please with service and communication.

I took my older bronco to this place based on a recommendation. I had heard good things about them. I have to say that I was more than a little disappointed. I paid over $2000 and yet when I left my vehicle still had problems. I had just purchased this bronco and I had planned on taking it on an extended trip over the summer so I asked them and stressed to them several times to please check it head to toe. It was just going to be me and my mother and I didn’t want to break down somewhere in the middle of nowhere. I especially stressed that the steering was loose and it concerned me because I would be towing a trailer. The women upfront were at times snarky and always defensive. The mechanic himself didn’t seem to know what he was doing because not only did he miss bad tire rods and rotted ball joints but he missed a leak in the oil pan that was causing the car to go through an excessive amount of oil. He also left the power steering fluid line leaking because that’s always good when someone’s going on a trip and doesn’t know how to fix it, so that halfway out west the power steering could go out. It appears that they actually fixed a couple of things they said they fixed but they left so very much wrong and kept the vehicle for about two months, so that when I finally got it back I had to put it in another shop who found all of these other things wrong now I don’t have time to drive it and test it before my extended trip across country. But wow the other shop FIXED the steering that mastertech said could NOT be done. This was the biggest waste of $2000 I have ever spent and two months of my time. I will not only never return here but I will make sure that every person that ever asks me for a review will know that this is not the place to go.

I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE FOR MY TRUCK. I WAS TALKED INTO PURCHASING A USED ENGINE WITH AROUND 85000 MILES ON IT. OVER 4500$ . WHAT A NIGHTMARE THAT WAS. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE. NEXT I SAID JUST PUT A JASPER ENGINE IN IT AND FOR ANOTHER 2600$ . ALL SAID AND TOLD I GOT MY RADIATOR BUSTED, MY 4WD ACUATOR BUSTED. ALL FIXED AT MY EXPENSE EXCEPT FOR THE ACUATOR. ALL SAID AND TOLD IM WELL OVER 7000$ INVESTED IN MY TRUCK. APPROXIMATELY 2000$ OVER WHAT I SHOULD BE. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHOP OR WILL I HAVE ANY OF MY OTHER VECHILES WORKED ON HERE. VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ALWAYS ON THE DEFENSIVE MODE.

Recently took my 06 F350 to Master tech auto. For engine service. The work they did was excellent, and at a great price. Kelly was very helpful,and professional. The mechanic that worked on my truck. Did an A+ job. And it was done in a timely manner. All & all l recommend them highly,and will be having them do all my mechanical work in the future. So to sum it up. If your looking for quality work at a great price. Master tech is the place to go.

Car needed a new transmission on a long road trip, so we stopped here. EXCELLENT customer service. I have had several great experiences with Mastertech- they have been flexible and fast with repairs, and the car I purchased from them roughly 5 years ago is still running with well over 200000 miles on it. I have been taking my cars to Master Tech automotive ever since I found them. I would say that’s been about 15 years ago maybe more. I have always been happy with the work that the mechanics have done and I’ve always been happy with the service that I’ve gotten at the front desk! They saved me thousands of dollars last year when they let me know that the problem with my car was because of a recall and if I took it to a dealer I would get it fixed for free which I did. So I appreciate their honesty and hard work and I will continue to go there for as long as I own a car!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people at Mastertech! My car broke down on the way from from DC to Kentucky. They were able to fit us in and get the car fixed the same day, so that we could get back on the road. I was traveling with my cat, so they let us camp out in the waiting room for several hours and were very accommodating despite my kitty voicing his displeasure. Our mechanic painstakingly spent a lot of time making sure my older car was in proper working order, so that we would be able to make it to our destination without further incident. They offered to order us food and even checked in with us once we reached Kentucky to make sure the car wasnt giving us any problems. I am forever grateful to Kelley, Matt, Danny, and Bryan. I cannot thank yall enough for your kindness and help. We (Holly, Blaine, & Ernie Cat) are forever grateful!

On our way back from a camping trip our minivan broke down. We got towed to Mastertech Automotive Repair. It was a Sunday so they werent open. We called when they opened at 8am on Monday and they had already started working on our car. They gave us two options for getting the vehicle up and running. This is the worst place to take your auto for repair. Every time, they only do half the job so you will have to return. Ive been stupid enough to take my car there for repair many times but today was the last straw. I will never go back. They take advantage of women. The commercials on tv said they were honest with no upsells on things you dont need. BS! They are the absolute worst.

While heading home from Virginia to Massachusetts on a 600 mile road trip, the head gasket in our pickup truck blew. We had to pull off in Staunton VA and stop at the first auto repair shop we saw. Luckily, the first place we found was Master-Tech. Kelly and Brian were very hospitable and kept us in the loop on all the repairs. As someone who works in the auto parts industry, I can vouch that these people know what theyre doing and are reasonable and fair-priced. Theyre also incredibly nice. They loaned us a car off their lot so that we could go and grab some lunch, rather than sit in the waiting room for hours. We had our 7 month old baby with us, and they all went the extra mile to make sure our whole family was comfortable in the midst of a difficult situation.

These folks cant be beat. I had a major problem with my engine and they made it run like a new one. They had to try three different parts before finding the one that corrected the problem. They didnt charge me for a fishing expedition as some shops would do. They held to their original estimate although they had to spend longer on the repair. Great peoplle to deal with. Everyone there with treats you like family.

I recently bought an affordable used truck from MasterTech. The sales process was amazingly easy and fast! It was kind of a Thats all? moment. After about a week and a long trip on the truck I noticed a leak coming from the radiator. I brought it back to MasterTech and the amazing staff and mechanics went above and beyond and had me back in action with a new radiator. Ive had some issues with the past few companies Ive dealt with locally but this company has restored my faith in local business! Way to go MasterTech! I would recommend them to anyone!

No wiggle room

Matt went over and above any service Ive ever received from a car dealer. We bought a F350 extended cab, but it needed a 5th wheel hitch. He found us an installer, brought the car to the installer, brought it back, and stored our car until we could pick it up. He answered all my stupid questions excellently. He helped me get extra keys for the vehicle. Theres nothing I needed that he did not offer to help me with. Ask for Matt. This guys a jewell

They appeared very nice but be careful. They are quite cheatful, unresponsible and lazy. My right front tire was flat and it is a firestone tire. There is an egg buldging on the sidewall after inflation. I brought my car to mastertech. They said it is hard to find paired tire but they will try their best to find. I left my car there. Next day they told me car is ready. After I paid the money, I found out that my right front tire still has the egg buldging. It turned out that they replaced the right rear tire which is quite new with only 15000 miles on it. Kelley asked the tech Chris to put the replaced old tire back to the right front. Because orignially my front tires are relatively newer than rear tires, I insisted them to switch the brand new tire from rear to front and put the old tire back to rear, so the four wheels will be better balanced. But they do not want to do this and keep saying this is fine. More worse, I found out the tire they put back on right front side is almost gone with little treadwear left. Again I argued with them this is not the original one on my right rear one and mine should be much newer. They insisted it is the one they took off. Overall, nothing works well. I did get a brand new tire but lost a good tire and now has balancing problem causing shaking and vibration on highway.

I WATCHED TO SEE THEIR FLOW OF TRAFFIC AND THE LOT EMPTY OVER PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS .DECIDE I HAD TO HAVE THAT SUV...TALKED WITH THEM ABOUT ...SIGN THE LOAN ON TUE ....VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH . HOWEVER I PUT A FEW MILES ON IT RUNNING TO THE STORE AND AROUND TOWN. DECIDE THAT FRI TO GO ON A 2 HR TRIP AND MADE IT 53 MILE BEFORE IT OVER HEATED ...LUCKY WHEN I SEEN THE GAUGE GOING UP I PULLED OVER AND CUT THE SUV OFF ...I WAS PANICKING HAVING KIDS WITH ME . MY DADS HOUSE WAS THE CLOSEST SO MY FIRST TOW WAS THERE 40.00 ..FINALLY AFTER CALLING MY FATHER IN LAW HE WAS ABLE TO PICK ME AND THE KIDS UP AND GIVE ME A RIDE TO MY OTHER CAR ...NOW ITS 12AM IN THE MORNING AND SETTING UP ROADSIDE TO BRANG IT BACK OVER TO MASTER TECH ... IM NOT SURE WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN... BUT I DO KNOW I GOT A BIG FAT TOWING BILL BECAUSE OF HOLIDAY WEEKEND 215.00 DOLLARS WITH ONLY 75.00 IS COVERED ...IM PRAYING THAT TUE SOMETHING WILL BE DONE ..IM NOT GOING TO GIVE ANY STARS UNTIL I KNOW IF IM STUCK WITH A BAD CAR AND A NICE CAR PAYMENT FOR 4.5 YRS ... I WILL BE BACK AND COMMENT ONCE I KNOW WHAT THEY PLAN ON DOING ...THERES BEEN MORE TEARS TODAY KNOWING I MAY HAVE MADE A BAD DECISION..ON EVEN BUYING ANOTHER SUV ....SO AT THE MOMENT IM UPSET ...MY HOLIDAY AND THE KIDS WEEKEND IS NOW SETTING AT HOME AND TRYING NOT TO STRESS... ITS ALITTLE MORE THEN A HOSE TO REPLACE ... SO IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE TO RATE ANYWAY SO 3 STARS UNTIL I KNOW WHAT THE PLAN WILL BE .....will post again end of this week and let everyone know how it was handle ... it sucks waiting ...
