On a trip to the outer banks and ended up getting a flat tire the day before Memorial Day! They were the only tire shop around for miles and miles on Memorial Day ! The guy in the office gave us a really great deal and wasn’t even bothered by my 3 kids playing and being loud!

I was treated very kindly today, and the staff is super super super. They treated my Jeep as thier own, well.. not EXACTLY (no rock climbing). They did a great job on it. All the headaches we have in this world, nice to know you can get honest service.

I needed my daughters car to be checked out and fixed last minute on a Saturday. Despite their busy schedule for the day, NTB worked us in and fixed my daughter’s car and were beyond helpful. Great business. Professional, caring, thorough getting the job done.

We had a flat tire on I-81 on our road trip today from Atlanta to West Virginia. Andy and Alex took care of us immediately, replacing our tire and getting us back on the road in less than 35 minutes. They were professional, friendly and provided perfect customer service. They made me a customer for life.

Great service! Brandon at the front desk was incredibly kind and the technicians had my car in and out for an oil change at my scheduled time slot; they even fixed a rattling part for free without me mentioning it! I am from Philly and needed an oil change before driving back so I had my dog with me. Brandon offered for my dog to sit in the waiting room with me so we werent walking around in the heat waiting for the car. All the technicians came up and pet her.I called Mr Tire before this and was hung up on. Im glad that happened otherwise I wouldnt have had such a pleasant experience.Thanks to everyone who made my visit so lovely!

Staff are always super cool and they explain whats wrong with my car and why. I never feel overwhelmed with information overload. And they have a pretty nice credit card system to make high Bills easier to handle.

If I could give more stars I would! We have had some bad luck here with cars lately 😕. But this is one of the best places I have ever taken a car. They have always worked with me and my budget. And making sure my families cars have always been safe for me and my kids to drive out out the park in lot. They have also let me keep one of our cars that is done for in the parking lot till I can get if moved. Which Im struggling with right now. This is definitely a great trusting work place, they treat you with respect and kindness. I have never had a issue with them trying to over charge or charge me for something I didnt know about before hand. 🤍

Had a tire blow out on the highway two hours from our destination. These guys found out we were going to be late for our military lodging meeting and bumped us up the list so we could get back on the road in time. Excellent customer service and great job with the replacement tire!

These guys are the best. Super clean waiting room (covid-conscious 😉,) super friendly and knowledgeable mechanics. And I wasnt even there about my car, lol! Seriously, i ws there with my sister-in-law and these guys fixed a problem with her tires that no one else had been able to and they did it, quickly, even though they had to wait for a part from another location. They even topped off her fluids while we waited. They told my SIL what else she needed done, named a VERY fair price but - and, heres the best part - did NOT try to hustle us into an upsell 👀 Bottom line, we recommend this shop - at least, the one in Staunton, VA

I had a wonderful experience with this NTB location. I unexpectedly had to replace all 4 tires on my vehicle & they made it quick & easy. We got the tires we wanted at a great price with a good warranty. One of my pressure sensors was damaged during replacement. I was immediately notified & they promptly ordered a new one. They got me in & out quickly with the sensor replacement. We will definitely continue doing business here.

Ive been coming here for service for about 3-4 months now. Each time left feeling confident and like Im doing business with people, and not a business, if you get the difference. Its been 3 times. 1st for an inspection, 2nd for headlamp replacement and tires quote, and recently for fixing a Valve leak and transmission fluid refresh. Prices are very reasonable, and setting an appointment is convenient. Being new to the area, its always difficult finding the decent shops. Add this one to your check em out list.Cheers.

Very reasonable! The guy in the front is very friendly! Best prices oil change and rotation was free (55.00)! The other place -J%*@fy Ube was gonna charge me 79.00 for synthetic oil change and 19.99 for tire rotation! Unreal! I was very pleased with the service: I left my car...they called me and WahLah done!

My car’s rear window wouldn’t close and I needed to resolve the problem before our trip to the beach. Drove into the parking lot of NTB at 4:50pm without much hope of being helped. Brandon, the manager immediately pulled my car into a bay to assess our issues. He ordered the necessary parts and took time to fully explain the repair. Brandon actually took he time to make additional calls to source a better price on the window parts. You just don’t see that kind of personal attention these days. I was very pleased with the professional customer service that I received. I highly recommend NTB in Staunton. They will take care of you!

Had a great experience here! My tire unexpectedly went flat and I was sent to NTB to have it repaired. I ended up having to purchase new tires, but the manager helped me find some that worked with my budget and price point. I additionally felt that they truly care about their customers. I was taken out to see what was going on with my car. The process was thoroughly explained to me and I was not spoken to across a desk—the manager sat next to me and explained things one on one. Great service! Greeted by name upon enterting the business again. Also, If you’re a Dr. Who fan....head there....that’s all the ever have on TV!

The 2 fellows that worked with me at this store were Brandon and Seth and both of them were polite and tried to be as efficient as they could be even though they were all wearing masks and gloves for health issues.

Never will go here again ..very unprofessional .. employee was backing my van out and didnt open garage door all the way tore up my van ..very dissatisfied with my service I received.. wouldnt recommend going here to anyone. They will try to tell you all kinds of stuff is wrong with your vehicle just to get money out of you .. stripped my lug nut and then couldnt even fix it ..waited over two hours had to take my vehicle somewhere else to have the job done properly 😔😔

When my car was done, I waited for 20 minutes to pay. No one at counter to pay, they were sitting in their office playing on their phone. Didnt seem to care. Wont be back.

20 minutes turned into 1.5 hours for a simple oil change, even with just one other car in the bay. I get it, car maintenance isnt a fast food drive-through, and they are obviously marketing toward a more full service inspection with the extras and free battery inspections.That was the thing, though. I wouldnt really minded the wait if theyd also topped off my empty wiper fluid, or even just filled my low tire, neither of which they did. I was in a rush, and should have just gone to Jiffy Lube.

Def recommend. Great quick service and good prices. Was in a bind on 9/12 and they were the only ones in Staunton able to help us out at the time. Keep it up yall.

These people are the best. Had a slow leak on my RV. They checked my tire out. Found a loose valve extension. We took it off and they put in the proper tire pressure. No charge. I would give them 10 🌟.

Always a good experience at this NTB - Theyre very quick with inspections and carry out repairs efficiently without trying to upsell you on other problems. Their prices are reasonable too. Overall, its our only non-local go-to auto shop in Staunton. The only reasons Im not giving 5 stars are that they dont take appointments for inspections and that twice before, understaffing/over-booking has led to them falling back on previously scheduled work. But theyre generally fantastic.

We stopped here on our way back to Arkansas. They got on our trailer tires immediately and gave us great advice that saved us money. They are personable and the kind of people youll go back and see. Thanks to Michael and Michael.

Service was satisfactory. Hours were great. Technique was lower than expected.I was delighted that they were open on Sunday for a tire repair. Took a little longer than expected... slow leak was hard to find... but they found it eventually.I forgot to check if the repair would be a plug or patch.I later found out that it was a plug...as the tire started leaking air again.For the pricing, I expected a patch, but I take responsibility for not checking...

When we were leaving the campground this morning, Sunday, my husband noticed a bubble in one of the front tires on our E350 van. He did not want to worry about this on our 13 hour drive, so I called these guys. They were super friendly on the phone and once we got there and unhooked our trailer, we had 2 new tires in less than 30 minutes at a great price. What a great experience!

I was passing through Staunton and noticed a screw sticking out of my tire. I took my car in and they said it was too close to the sidewall to patch. But they advised me that the screw didnt puncture and cause air loss. They told me the tire was fine and to enjoy my day. Instead of how they easily could have told me I need to replace the tire, but being honest people they pulled my car out and shook my hand.

These guys are friendly, professional, and fast. They replaced an alternator for me quickly, and the labor was reasonably priced. They were even willing to be a little flexible on the price of the replacement part. I recommend it.

Recently took my vehicle to them for an oil change, work on my motors and an unknown noise coming from the engine. I would give 0 stars if I could but they did fix my rotors. They said the noise was due to my rack & pinion steering assembly - a nearly $900 repair. When they were done, they said the noise was still there but it was likely due to air in the system. After sitting overnight, the noise would be gone. The noise was still there 4 days later. When I brought the car back to them, they said the noise was a different noise. They said this new noise was my alternator and they wanted another $400, offering nothing in exchange for screwing up my repair. I took my car some place else that fixed the alternator and got rid of the noise for $200. Dont go to Merchants for anything more than tires or an oil change.

These guys saved my butt today... Im 4 hours away from home, out in the middle of the forest riding the trails when I start to hear this clicking and popping coming from the rear. It had me really worried so we headed in to town to see who would be open on Sunday on Memorial Day Weekend... we found they were open. Walked inside, they wrote us up, got us pulled in to the garage and up in the air looking at it right away. They had it figured out in about 15 minutes, there was just a loose bolt on the stabilizer bar which they tightened. This was about the best news I could have gotten, and they only charged us $30 which was more than worth it for the piece of mind and the time the tech spent.

Love this place love management had one of the managers work on my car him self and he did a phenomenal job with my wheel alignment he fixed my camber ride height toe everything ans they are polite and respectful and dont rip you off like most garages do definitely worth it

I was recently traveling from Tennessee back to Virginia, and while on the interstate my tire went almost completely flat. This instantly sent me in a panic. I was far from home, and had no clue where I was. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Merchants Tire & Auto Center in Staunton. I was greeted by Scott right when I walked in the door, and who could obviously sense my panic. He immediately reassured me he had a tire that would fit my car, and would have me back on the road in no time. He instantly put me at ease and made me feel at home, which was very unusual being I was so far from home. He fixed my car in a timely and efficient matter, and had me back on the road as promised in no time. I wish I had a place like this Merchants Tire & Auto Center closer to my home in Virginia. Scott was truly a lifesaver.Thanks again Scott!!

I trust those guys. They will never try to sell me something I do not need. They always work with me to minimize my wait time. They do great work.

Went in to get new tires and a state inspection. Was told I had a rear shaft seal leak on the rear drivers side and that I needed new seals and bearings.....ON BOTH SIDES. Being somewhat knowledgeable about cars, I told them that was ridiculous. One side does not affect the other and that if theres a seal leak Ill pay to have a new seal pressed in, but nothing else. They responded that all the work needed to be done (at a cost of roughly $500) or they would have to fail the inspection. So I told them to fail the inspection and took the vehicle to another shop and guess what.....THERE WASNT EVEN A SEAL LEAK TO BEGIN WITH.I would recommend that everyone avoid this shop, if at all possible.

Took my truck in for a front end alignment after replacing a worn drag link. Got a call that it was finished in a timely manner. when I picked it up the steering wheel was highly cocked to one side. called and took it back and they said 30 min it would be good to go. 2.5 hours later I got the call. Went back to pick up the truck and immediately noticed the drivers window was down parked next to the sidewalk (and unlocked). The drivers floor mat has quite a few greasy boot prints on it. there are greasy finger prints all over the driver area. was told 2 techs test drove to make sure the steering wheel was straight, it is now cocked to the right and the truck has a very slight pull to the left. I will not be taking my business back to these folks.

After being towed to their station at the end of their work day, they quickly repaired my flat tire wit little cost. During a very upset situation, their efficient care fixed my problem! Thanks to them! Will get my new tires there in the future.

I was visiting my daughter who lives in Staunton, and she always takes her vehicle here for service. Got a bolt in my tire causing it to go flat. Took the tire here for repair. Had great service and the tire was repaired at a very reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

Oil change comes with tire rotation. I specifically asked them to check front drivers tire bc it was leaking air and i had to put air in it every 2 days.... well they claimed to have checked it and said they did not see a leak anywhere at all and they did not rotate bc they were getting low on tread.... well of course the VERY NEXT morning my tire is low and needs over 10psi, but they claim to see or find a leak... 🤔🤔

They saw the problem( minor but a loud noise ) fixed it and sent me on for a very fair cost. I was treated very well and cant say enough, also watched their normal tire customers treated same way. My son arrived there today at 8:45am for a 9am appointment for his vehicle. He was there hours before they even started on his car. Im not sure just what happened but this is no way to acquire returning customers.
