I highly recommend using them! Amazing service, quality repairs and inspections. Vicki and Jennifer are very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience with them. They even caught issues during repairs, that Jenkins automotive didnt catch when they did my state inspection. They make sure youre getting quality services and goods for your money! I will most definitely be returning here for all my future automotive needs!

I do not recommend this place. Very slow in getting work done and the cost was 300 dollars more than the estimate. Poor communication by the office. We were told 3 different days it was going to be done. We had to call each time. No calls were made to update. On the 4th day we were told we went to pick up our vehicle and noticed when we got home the dirty engine cover was sitting in the back seat. They were good 15 years ago but now are horrible. Several of our friends have said the same thing and they will no longer get any of my business or my familys.

Unprofessional! Promised to call me with a quote for new tires and never did. 2 weeks later, after I showed up with a new tire, a worker damaged our expensive Alloy wheel with a tire changing machine. Our family has no intentions to return at this location.

We were traveling cross country from Chesapeake to Arizona when the exhaust on my truck broke early in our trip. Found them on the web, called and they got us back on the road in a couple hours. Great people and service. Made it to Arizona with no problems. Thanks for the fast courteous service.

I had them put flowmaster dual exhaust on my 05 Sierra. Just a little over 2 years later I had to go back because the mufflers were falling apart and had broken loose and the warranty only covered 1 year. They blamed it on me leaving the truck sitting. When I told them the truck was my daily driver they said well you dont drive it enough. So I got them to put on stock exhaust with lifetime warranty. While the guy was installing he kept shaking his head I asked what was wrong he said bud whoever did this job did terrible. When I told him they did 2 years ago he just laughed. Again a little over 2 years later and this time a baffle is out. I called about the warranty and was told it doesnt include labor and would be $120. I tried to just get the mufflers so I could get someone else to put them on and was told it had to be installed by them but I could buy the mufflers...

An honest repair shop. They do more than mufflers. They also offer good prices on tires, brakes, and batteries. It appears that they do every type of repair and upgrade. In my limited experience, they are friendly, fast, and fair.

Scheduled an appointment for a simple oil change, whoever answered the phone at the Staunton VA office was fairly rude and abrupt when answering. The day of the appointment when I arrived and walked into the door I was stared at and greeted with a rude “What do you want?” I know we are still in a pandemic but the customer service from the front desk ladies was poor quality. I had to come to this office because my usual technician was out of town. Decent service, decent prices, but poor customer service.

I would not give them any stars but I did not have that option. So had to give one star. An here is why.Dropped truck off yesterday with an appointment to have state inspection done along with few other needed services. Was called to pick up truck as they didn’t have time to do it. So I took it in this morning again to drop off with scheduled appointment for state inspection, brakes, oil change, and tire rotation.When I picked up the truck this afternoon . Wanted to be sure that they did the services that was been paid for looked under the hood to see if they had actually done the oil change and found the oil rag they had used to clean and:or check the oil laying there on the motor (can we say FIRE HAZARD) I do not recommend taking your vehicle to this location at all unless you want to deal with a fire while driving and resulting in you having an accident due to FIRE.The tire rotation was not done.

Tried to have some custom exhaust work done, but they refused to do it holding their standards to California laws. Refused to install 49 state legal catalytic converters. Price quoted me $2,500 for 2003 F-150 catalytic converters.

3 months Ive been taking it back and backed try to get my truck straightened out from when they put a 21/2 inch lift on my truck.they have charged me for work that hasnt been done and still to this day hasnt been done and now they dont even want to return my calls part of the work they have done they had to redo several times because it wasnt right I even lost my brakes while driving and had to have it towed back in because a brake line was not installed correctly

If my auto has any issues that needs addressed they let me know and give an estimate with no pressure to have it fixed by them. Ive dealt with Interstate, literally for decades and since I bought my first car :) Ive always gotten great service and highly recommend them. Not knowing a lot about vehicles, I take a leap of faith when bringing my vehicle to a mechanic to get an honest assessment. After picking up my vehicle, consulting with a friend, showing them my bill and the work done, they just laughed and said I got scammed.I was hearing a humming sound from the engine and I was getting a Low Battery Voltage alert, so I set up an appointment at Interstate Muffler in Staunton since it is close to where I live and I wouldnt have to drive too far. They said the alternator was failing and would need to be replaced along with the drive belt tensioner and a drive belt idler pulley. That sounded like a reasonable solution based off of the symptoms.After receiving the bill and doing a little research is where things started to seem a little fishy. I drive a regular 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with no bells or whistles, so I figure all parts are basic and easy to acquire. I was charged $815.56 for just the alternator, no labor. After getting home and searching the internet for a comparable alternator, the most expensive ones I found ran in the $400 range with most being around $200. After revealing this to the friend, they couldnt believe it and offered to look at the work that was done. He couldnt understand why I was charged for a drive belt tensioner AND a drive belt idler pulley. He explained that when you purchase a drive belt tensioner, they all come with a drive belt idler pulley as part of the package. After inspecting the vehicle, the friend determined there was no reason to be charged for the drive belt idler pulley and deemed it was just a bogus charge to increase the bill. For reference, the charge for the drive belt tensioner was 229.58 and the drive belt idler pulley was 95.95, which both seem like fair prices if they were independent of each other.To top it off, the drive belt is now squeaking. It squeaked when I picked up my vehicle after hours and it squeaks almost daily. If a repair is done on a vehicle, I would assume that all other issues that deal with that repair would be satisfied upon the mechanic releasing the vehicle back to the customer. As a result, Im going to have to put more money into this repair for a separate visit. However, that seems par for the course after this appointment.For what it’s worth, the final bill was $1,179.85 for the 3 parts, 39.76 of which was shop supplies, and 246.60 for labor. With hazmat and tax, the final charge for replacing the alternator and the tensioner was $1,496.38.I guess this will serve as an expensive lesson, but I wanted to give a heads up for anyone else considering a visit to Interstate Muffler in Staunton - beware of inflated and bogus charges.

I was new to the area.....asked around the autoparts stores who they might recommend for car repairs. Almost all of them said Interstate.Thats pretty good recommendation right there-----Ive found if you ask the people who know, theyre the right ones to ask.Wayne and John run a good shop. It was clear to me listening to their interactions with clients that they care about their customers and about their customers vehicles.They treat the cars and trucks as if they were theirs. They fix em so the problem is fixed. They dont cut corners.What more can you want from an auto repair shop?I heartily recommend Interstate Muffler.

Poor Customer Service. Needed some custom exhaust work done that could have proven to be a very good deal for them. Might have lead to high volume work. Sat in a chair for 25 minutes waiting for someone to review my needs. Walked out.

Inspected my car quickly and thoroughly! I ate sour patch kids the whole time and time flew.(I highly recommend sour patch kids during inspection)

Weld gave out on my catalytic converter while trekking from SC to PA. Called these guys up after I found the problem and they got my car on their lift within 15 minutes of my arrival. 1 hour later my $500 cat pipe is like new (cost of repair was $100) and I can now drive the remainder of my trip without worry of flying exhaust parts. There was no up-selling, no recommendations that cost more money. I came in and told them what the problem was and they told me how they could fix it the RIGHT way. I 100% recommend these guys to anyone, which is rare from me cause mechanics typically tick me off.BTW today is Dec. 22nd, so even on a busy travel day these guys got me taken care of quickly.

I am picky about who i allow to work on my vehicles. I have only received a quote for repairs, and had a muffler replaced. I am very happy with the exhaust repair, but I am on the fence with the quoted price for repairs. It seems a little high to me. But I was impressed that they have all parts on hand. And the staff (might have been owner) recommends oem parts which i completely agree with. OEM parts more than likely relate to what I felt was a high price. For the those who dont know; OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. They are a higher quality, and do cost more because of it.

I tried to do my own exhaust work and failed miserably. Having broken the studs off of the manifolds and caused lots of trouble, I called around and got lots of very high quotes or was told by many shops they didnt even want the job. Interstate muffler gave me a very reasonable quote and stuck to it. I will send all of my vehicles back to them, even if I do have to drive 45 minutes to get there.

Asked them to replace a catalytic converter. I had a 8am appt, at 9:30 they called to tell me all these other issues with the car and it would cost $2100 to fix. I politely declined and asked them to just replace the converter... the other issues werent life threatening. 5 hours later, I call to check the status and was informed that I had the wrong converter. NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL FOR THAT, THEY JUST LET MY CAR SIT!!!!!! So, I collected my car and took it to Husseys in Bridgwater where my car was fixed within a two hours and no where near $2100. Interstate muffler are cons!!!!
