Yesterday afternoon my husband and I went to our local Home Depot in Stamford to pick up some plants and pots. We had everything we needed but needed a price on a white ceramic pot which was one of a kind with no tag on it. We got in line, waited our turn and explained it to the clerk (thin African American lady). She looked, then asked another lady (also African American). After looking around and finding none like it on the floor, she looked at a screen and selected one much larger and just said $95. The pot had a medium crack in it, visible on the top. Johnny said the pot is much bigger and not this pot, she then said $95 rudely. The pot she was looking at wasn’t even close to the one in question and she made no effort to verify with a supervisor so we put back all our items and left. In the recent past, there was an older man who has gone out of his way to be helpful in advising us about plants, soils, planters, etc so we normally have excellent service at this Home Depot. Yesterday, the service we felt was poor at best. The lady checking us out was kind, it was the other lady who was very rude. I realize this description doesn’t convey it well, but it was obvious she was being “ugly”. Read my reviews, I write many and almost all are positive, but we are going to Lowe’s today. If you go to this location and have any questions, look for a thin older man in this department. He is so helpful. It wasn’t just the cost as we have purchased much more expensive, but she was looking at a pot twice as large. Just be careful here.

Good experience! Curbside pickup was as expected, fast and smooth. I also needed help with loading metal racks in my car and help was there in minutes.

I had such a great experience on different days working with Mike in flooring. He was so helpful and friendly. He basically helped me design my bathrooms/living room floor. Thank you Mike!

This is probably the most unorganized home Depot Ive been too. Since I started delivering. Only 1 of 3 deliveries were ready to be picked up. Theses people are messing with my money and time.

Not busy at all 3 or 4 times going at various times. Now the one in New Rochelle And Yonkers Dont do it yourself.

They got it all .. unless their inventory info is wrong which unfortunately is often!

Poor customer service. We made an order for flooring. Soon after we placed the order we changed our mind with what we wanted. We called to cancel the order so that it wouldn’t be shipped and a customer service rep told us that it wasn’t a problem, we could get a full refund but had to wait until it was shipped. After it arrived we called back and they told us that there was a 15% delivery fee. When we mentioned our previous call they told us the representative wasn’t trained and didn’t know what they were talking about.... Still have a lot of work to do left on our basement, heading to Lowe’s today.

I went in this morning to get the 12 foot skeletons and the manager was super helpful and super nice and so were all the employees that helped me out today!! Even helped me bring it outside and take them both out of the boxes to squeeze them into my car!

Ive ordered a storm door for installation and paid in full. I ordered this on June 2nd I was told that it would take two weeks. After multiple calls and the person on phone transfers me to a line which no one ever answered. Its now July 13 th and no one has given me a response to my complaint. Please have someone contact us . This is totally disregard to your customer who already paid in full.

Rose and Angel are two of the best Manager’s I’ve ever come across any store in general. They are exceptionally motivated with a sincere interest to resolve any issues you may have and should be commended for it.

Good lighting, high ceilings. Fair plan for covid restrictions...... One entrance one exit...... Makes it simplified. I am not sure if that is best.. perhaps front walk way going by customer service and registers between entrance and exit, could be controlled more with markers.....Of aisles..... or signs to say.. stay to the right.....

Was just in the Stanford store trying to buy paint. The paint display Rust-Oleum was a mess could not find what I was looking for due to the fact that it was a mess. Christian the guy that help me was terrible. Did not know what he was doing. It was more lost than I was. Not a good experience.

It’s a Home Depot. Some of the staff is helpful others are not. But that’s Home Depot.

UPDATE: STILL NO WINDOW! It recently came in completely smashed! Also they will not refund!!!I ordered a window from the Stamford, CT home depot store in the beginning of May which had a scheduled receive date of May 20th. On the 24th I called the Stamford store who said it was in but then made it seem as though it wasnt. I called the Fairfield, CT store who checked the order and confirmed it had been received.I then went into the Stamford store, they tried to look for the window and after about an hour of waiting and various store employees running around they confirmed they had lost the window. They asked me to come back the next day when the receiving manager was in to see if they may know where the window was. I went back the next day and it was the same situation, no one knew what was going on and they confirmed again the window was lost.Finally Susan Marra came to talk to me and she said she would spend an hour looking and would call me to go over placing a new order and refunding the original order as this is a lot of time lost.There is an email in the thread below that I received from Susan,Upon speaking with Stamford Customer Care (CC), they not only seemed annoyed they had to deal with the situation they kept saying they had to email the factory and were waiting for a response, i asked for them to call the factory instead of waiting, to see if they could get answers on expediting the order. I didnt see why the factory could not expedite the order to a maximum of 2 weeks.I am able to expedite high end mechanical equipment in a matter of weeks when we need to, why is home depot unable to get a window expedited?The window is now confirmed to be shipping tomorrow and expected to be received on 06/10/2021. I am cautious to be elated as we have been in this situation before. Customer Care initially told me the window was still in production when I called to check today (06/08/2021) they seemed irritated when I asked about the refund. They then called back with the above shipping and receiving information but also would not confirm any refund.This window has not only taken time from my work schedule with the constant back and forth on the phone and going to the store but it has also set back us moving into our home. The window will be installed in our kitchen and our cabinet installer would not finalize his layout without the window installed. So this has pushed everything out for over a month to where we have been forced to continue to pay rent on top of our new mortgage.We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with Home Depot during our home renovation. Including all new appliances for our kitchen and a new washer and dryer as well. All of this has happened over one window. I believe it may be best for us to cancel our current orders for appliances and take our business elsewhere. I do not feel comfortable with home depot, not only how they handle orders but how they fix an issue that they created.

Everyone in vehicle rental was rude. They said they had a van for me got there and sure enough no ban. While on the phone trying to figure out my other options for getting a vehicle they started making fun of me and talking smack because I didnt see a sign on on one of the machines they started asking each other if they thought I could read... You all suck

Good building supply company stocked with supplies I need like lumber, cement, masonry supplies. Also garden supplies, fertilizer, cleaning supplies, tools, paint, appliances and kitchen remodeling consultants.

Always busy but most importantly the shelves are rarely updated with inventory. Example Dremel & accessories Rigid/ Routers, Security cams like Wyze have been empty for weeks theres no Universal Bosch accessories for anything, Please replenish Milwaukee section as well

Great service, clean, organized. Very helpful workers and manager on duty very helpful. I will come from bpt as often needed, they have everything you need and like I said very organized.

It was busy but it was Saturday afternoon . Found decent parking and was able to check out quickly when I was done shopping. The only thing that sucked was the traffic getting out because the traffic light at the entrance changes quickly.

The store is bright and clean, and the employees are very helpful and polite. The only complaint I have is that Ive gone to look for something that supposedly is in stock according to the Home Depot website (say, 30 of a particular cabinet handle, or 10 of a specific thermometer), and somehow nobody can find a single one of the item Im looking for. Now when I want something very specific, as long as it isnt time sensitive, I just order online either to deliver or pick up in store.I also found their tool rental very convenient and efficient, but it was helpful to do the research myself online in advance. The employees recommendation was something different than I had in mind, and would not have handled my job very well.

One of the guys at the service area in the paints department was not helpful at all, but there was a gentleman in the isle and he helped when I asked him some questions and guided me to what I needed, sorry I didnt get his name. Xavier was very helpful also when I got to the store, Id usually give 5 stars, but that one person made me feel as if I didnt know what I was asking or he didnt understand.

You can get what you need. We switch off between HD, Lowes and our local hardware store.

We have been using their delivery services... free with $45 order. 100% satisfied . New, nicely laid out store. Its so large that you will need help to find anything. Most sales people are friendly and helpful. Great plant and seasonal sections. I used their curbside pickup last week... worked well. Online order come in with damaged goods yesterday.

As soon as I enter the looking for a portable air conditioner the sales person pointed me to the exact location. Next I needed help Place in the item in my basket . The floor manager possibly found someone to help me and he realized we needed the flat cart because the object was too large to fit into the basket. He then went to get me the flatcars. He politely placed it on the flat card and I went to express checkout. Realize in our need help putting the item in my car someone was there to help me do that as well. The item was very affordable price I was happy with that period my experience was wonderful. Thank to all thr helpful employees

Tried to find some specific plumbing supplies in the Stamford CT store and I needed assistance because I could not find what I needed (a recurring problem at this store). The store was not especially busy. After about 5 minutes, I finally found an employee walking by and I explained that I needed help. That person called on their walkie-talkie, and a few minutes later I heard the call for help go over the store intercom. I waited about another 10 minutes before I finally gave up and left. Ive had similar experiences at the Norwalk CT location, where employees almost seem to avoid trying to be helpful. In future, I will try the local Ace Hardware first. They were very helpful and they had exactly what I needed, along with useful advice.

I am concerned with how crowded it was today and many people are shopping with there masks down or below there noses. They will need to experience COVID before they learn. The store needs to enforce safer practices.

Decent selection. I asked an employee on his phone about something. He said, I dont know, go look around.

Staff were helpful and knew exactly what I wanted and more importantly where to find it.

The associates are extremely rude. I had 2 remodel projects so far this year and every time, I went there, I was treated poorly. I was so mad after my last experience that i am going to AVOID shopping from HD going forward. Paying customer should not be disrespected and quite frankly, i saw other customers being treated poorly as I was waiting in-line. The store is notoriously known for their poor customer service. They make returning stuff a nightmare even when you have a receipt. Go to another location or shop elsewhere.

We had a very knowledgeable employee helped us. He answered all our questions and even gave us very valuable suggestions. He even gave us ideas we didnt even think about. We are very pleased with the service of the employee working in the lighting section this morning at Home Depot.

Two gentlemen in the paint department were extremely helpful today to help me create 3 custom colors. They went way above and beyond to research to find the right Pantone when it wasn’t initially available in the system. They were very enthusiastic about helping and finding a solution. A+++ service

I installed closets through this store, the closest collapse within three weeks. The issue is when I asked for repairs they sent me to a black hole ! I did huge number of calls and emails and no result . Always promised for a repair or no one answers ! It has been more than three months of running after people on the clouds ! My advice to everyone goes to this store : buy stuff from this store but never end up in a project with them . You will loss your money and time !!!!! I I can give less than one star I would do

Paint department: good place to get COVID 19. Man working at the paint mixing kiosk wore a torn mask and touched/adjusted the entire mask repeatedly. Like every 10 seconds. Also hugged his friend and chatted about personal matters for an extended amount of time before assisting customers who were waiting. Rude bro in his 40s.Cashiers: 5 stars! Always friendly!

Not sure where they found the quality of people they hired at this one. The only helpful person was in the paint section helping me with a tub. Everyones seems like theyve been hired straight from the DMV. Couldn’t care less about you or tour store experience. Next time I’ll go out of my way not to shop here.

Went to this home depot it was an IN and OUT deal,to make duplicates of keys,well after 10 minutes of waiting and asking for help got it done.too many employees just walking around and not much of helping costumers.

This is one of the best branches ever. I really like this chain, and this local branch is good. I always find what I need, the staff is friendly, especially the cashiers. Parking is a breeze. Garden center is well-stocked. Location is super. Premises and lot are neat and clean. I always like coming here for my small home projects. My handyman picks up stuff for my medium size projects here. This new branch has really helped me with convenience and good prices.

Went there yesterday and Ruth and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Ordered a entire roof for my house and was delivered today . Had to be the most pleasant experience Ive ever had in ordering materials since I can remember.Will always go back to this branch .

Large, and a helpful staff. I had 2 drive 78 min there after I placed an online order of 2 items, and both items were marked for in-store pick-up. Somehow, 1 item went not 2 my local store but to this location which was 78 min away. The ride wasnt cool, but when I arrived I was served and done with my item in about 5 min. Fast service for in-store pick-up. Made it there 17 min before store closed and the place was packed with shoppers, which I found unusual, and so did the staff. All-in-all not a terriable experience, but not awesome either, and the in-store experience was the best part of the trip.

Curbside pickup worked out really well. Be sure to tell the attendant what spot you were in. They will not load your car so be prepared to do that.hopefully even after the covet crisis they continue to offer this service.
