I live in Redondo Beach, but am glad I made the drive out to Pomona to get my A/C fixed.A local shop in Redondo Beach (Precision Auto) quoted me $2200 to fix my air conditioning, that it would need multiple part replacements. I told them no thanks and took my car to H Car Repair in Pomona because I have family that trust them. They fixed it for $150 and its been working perfectly ever since.

Was pretty nervous about finding a new mechanic; Im a young guy and moved out to Pomona last September for college. I got lucky and found Dave early on. Fantastic, genuine guy, Couldnt recommend him enough. Changed my power steering pump and it is working fantastically. Got it done in a couple hours. Finding an honest mechanic is a challenge by itself, and its even rarer to find one that does really high quality work also especially for such a good price.

Dave is the best! He and his staff are very honest and knowledgeable about Honda cars. They are very reasonable and transparent with their prices so you dont have to worry about whether you are paying too much for a service. I have been going to them for about 5 years, my 2008 Honda Accord has almost 300,000 miles and still runs like a champ under Daves care and routine maintenance. I am highly satisfied with their service and would recommend them to anyone who has a Honda vehicle.

Im the idiot who always took his car to the dealer for service, thinking the work was better. Not any more. Dave (owner) and crew are fantastic! I had never been to his shop before when I called him about a minor headlight issue ($500 fix at dealer). He told me how to fix it myself, and said if I wasnt successful hed do it. I asked him how much it would cost- he said he wouldnt charge me for something that just took him a minute to do. Dave won me over right then and there. Since then, Ive taken my MDX and Civic to him for maintenance and repairs. They have your car back to you very quickly, and take more care with it than anywhere else Ive been. Dealer shops would frequently misdiagnose (all in the spirit of up charging), leave scratches, grease, etc. Not at H-car... It comes back the way you took it in but fixed correctly the first time. I cant say enough good things about them. I fully trust their recommendations and work. One of the few honest shops around.

Had the belts and water pump changed on my Honda today. Took exactly 2 hours. They are honest and did an excellent job.I was told by another auto repair that I had a broken strut and need motor mounts. Dave checked it out and alls good.....very happy!
