I love this store! The staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter needed new shoes for work and I wanted some Crocs. They had what we were looking for! They have a lot of great things on sale! Definitely recommend!

Pretty nice store. Found a good deal on new work boots and even some other stuff I didnt know I needed. Cashier was super friendly. Other staff was working really hard and sort of hard to ask a question. Still found what I needed, will have to return for that optional item I was trying to find.

Great customer service. Picked up my husbands CCA gun and they got me through a few paperwork mishaps that could have caused a backlog to my day but they made it painless and got me out quickly! Thanks for always doing a great job at the firearms counter!

They have the best return policy out there. If you still have your receipt, its returnable. Had item over a year and they returned it! Awesome 👍 FYI this is not the first time. That requires 5 stars. They dont make companies like that anymore.

Really good selection of sporting items. Husband and I enjoyed shopping here. Some reasonable prices, some a little pricier. Clean store with stocked shelves. Theres even a clearance section of tennis shoes for men, women, and children.

These people are just rude. Went in to purchase a gun. The person behind gun counter was so unfriendly, except when he told me… I did not pass the FBI check. I said why? ....You stated you were not the person purchasing the gun on the form.....That was obviously a mistake....I have my id ….My gun License…and money in front of you…….he did not want to sell anything to me…. He would not even talk to me during the sale …….but to reject me ….He had a smile on his face….from Pasadena to Houston……Dip down ……….. Race was the issue…….that is sad that in this day in time….this still happens.

Great place for all things sports related! Wonderful store for shoes and athletic clothing of all kinds, including swimsuits. Best place to find grills and accessories. Hunting department has gone down, of course. Popular place for MLB, NFL, NCAA and local high school clothing.

Overall its a nice place to shop. They however didnt have much of a selection of shoes for the family when I went.

Web site stated that the item I wanted was in stock ($400). Was informed that it was not in stock and the only way to ensure I could get it was to buy online and then go get it from a different store that said it had one.BTW, even after I left the website still stated it was in stock.

Needed safety to work shoes and they cary the Rebock line of safety toe shoes. Several employees helped me get what I needed so I could get in and out quickly and they were helpful with a smile!

Got great summer shoes for less.Did not have all sizes.

Kinda disappointed. I went in to purchase a propane stove they said was in stock at THAT store and when I got there about 30 minutes later the shelves where they sold all the propane stoves were practically bare. Obviously the one I wanted was not there and slim pickings for other ones.

I had my fishing pole refilled with the line that I had left over from last year. Can I use the Power Pro. If I come to find out they did not use any monofilament line to start with Mike about maybe 10 yards of it because you need that my filament on there because it grabs the pool. And then you tied a monofilament should a power pro which is like Spider wire made out of Kevlar but better than spiderwire. And then you fill up the rest of the school with it because itll hold. Now Ive got to take it back and have them take it all off put new line on it and make sure they put them on a filament on it because my full get spin. When you put it in the Locking position its supposed to lock and not do nothing. It does lock but the school still spins. Thats because the line is not tight on the spool. Now Ive wasted time to go there and get it done and Ill have to go back and get it redone again. They need someone in that department to do the stuff that actually knows what theyre doing.

Wide selection or all items, great customer service

The footwear department was amazingly helpful and it was very relieving to watch a well trained staff to care of its customers. Everyone in the department asked if we needed help and I mean everyone. Most places you go to the staff is just playing on their phones and you have to approach someone if you need assistance. But not these guys and girls they were all about providing quality help. They even offered to put back the shoes we tried on that we were not interested in. I wish I could give 10 stars to the footwear department of this academy they truly went above and beyond.

The store is clean and has good inventory. The low rating reflects the employee experience. Its odd that people apply for a position here that engages with customers and they exhibit behaviors of shy, withdrawn, monotone. pay and get out my face type vibes. I guess its just a pay check for most of them.

I know nothing about soccer and was trying to figure out what I actually needed for my beginner child. I needed help and asked Dan(a manager there) if he could assist me. Besttt service ever! He was very helpful, honest, informative and extremely kind!

Because they have everything I need for my outdoor adventures. Fishing, workshoes, and comfy exercise clothes.I one usually go to is in Pasadena. I have not had any problems there at all. I bought a flash light there it didnt work right. Returned it with no questions asked. I was thinking they were gonna give me a hard time but to my surprise they were very professional. I have and will highly recommend this Academy to my friends and family.Apparently Im not the only one who feels this way because they are having a hard time keep it stock with all the good stuff, like bicycles, weights hunting stuff.

Stocking levels are always good, however they don’t quite have the selection of some of the larger market stores.As well, they rarely have the staffing needed to keep the checkout lines short. Never the less, it’s not ever unbearable.

Love this location. This is my primary Academy. Always get greeted coming in, selection is great. Great Golf and fitness sections. Lots of shoes to choose from. Knowledgeable personnel at the Firearm counter.

I visit Academy quite often but felt the need to say that this stores customer service was on point. I will be coming back to Pasadena.

They had good deals!! But no sneakers for mens or women!! All the shelves were bare!! They also didnt have size 5 soccer balls that my husband was looking for!! Come on Academy you can do better than what I saw today!!

Purchased an archery target for my granddaughter. It is the same size they use for competition with her high school. Very reasonable price.

Its going downhill. Ok for ammo and shoes. Sporting goods barely stocked. Always go back though.

People are helpful here. We picked up a BBQ pit here with no problem. They loaded it up on the back of SUV. We have ordered the same BBQ pit from Lowes several month ago and they cancelled the order without telling us. Now its sold out everywhere but academy had it!

I usually shop at another Academy, asked gun department to check availability of a firearm, I was told to do it myself online. The location on I-10 and Freeport always checks for me.

Went into the place looking for certain items there were several salespeople joined together as if it was a social club I asked for directions for certain items and they just pointed not even making an effort to help us get to where we wanted to go to make purchases we were misdirected or just generally lied to about where things were and finally one salesperson by the name of Lisa actually took us to the spot where the things that we were wanting to buy where all the other sales people were useless. It must be nice to stand around and do nothing socialize with your buddies in sales ignore customers which is the reason youre there and get paid for it its a nice Gig if you can get it. Probably wont be returning to this store

The team there at Academy in Pasadena is always so helpful and they always take the time and effort to make sure I get the exact items I need. Their customer service is EXCELLENT 👌.
