What a great experience shopping here. Very knowledgeable staff. Tad was extremely friendly and helpful. He helped me with clothes as well as ideas for salt water and small water fly rods. When I asked about larger river fish he asked his colleague Lucas to assist who was very helpful as well.I look forward to shopping here in the future though I am in the South Bay

I first went to Basspro since I had a gift card but the people there didn’t know much about their inventory. Then I went to Orvis in Pasadena. They have helpful staff who know their products. Lucas helped me get just the right pair of wading boots. Great customer service. Highly recommend shopping here!

Haven’t fly fished in over 20 years but I recently found inspiration to get back into it. Spent a couple of hours in the Pasadena store today. Lucas was exceptionally helpful and patient. He took me through everything - rods, reels (twice), line, waders, boots, flies, and accessories. I cannot think of another time a retail store employee was as knowledgeable and helpful. The other few folks in the store were similarly friendly and hospitable. Excited about the new gear and looking forward to returning! My grandfather loved the Orvis brand and I think I can see why.

I didnt know what this company sold or even where it was located. I got a charge to my debit card from them and called their customer service. They helped me immediately, without asking a ton of questions or making me hold to transfer me to different people. I got all of my money back. I appreciate their customer support.

If you love the outdoors, I mean really love it, and you can afford the best, then this is your store. This place is all about spending the day fishing or hunting, then coming home to your log house and sipping very old whiskey in front of the fireplace. If you can afford $129 for a flannel shirt and $475 for a jacket, go to Orvis. Really, their stuff is beautiful. And they have a great selection. Beautiful store.

Both my mom and I were lucky enough to find a couple of items on sale. Great store with very good products! Reviewed in 2020Went back today to exchange an item that my mom got for me in the catalog. Unfortunately, the pants I wanted were no longer available. Susan, who has been working at that store for a long time, helped me find a blouse for my mom. She is very patient and diligent. She went above and beyond for us. Good customer service is so hard to find these days, but it is still alive and well at this store. Thank you Susan!!!

My wife and I took a fly tying class here. Our instructor was Ben. The class and Ben were great. He spent plenty of time with each of us helping get our technique and process together. It was fun, very informative, and to top it all off; my wife now loves to tie flies! Occasionally shell send me a picture of her latest creation.I want to thank the extremely knowledgeable and very patient staff at Orvis Pasadena. Truly a gem of a store where customer service is still a skill possessed and practiced.

FYI - Most of the clothing is now made China :-( except for other brands they carry like Barbour. ) Also, Orvis quality and sizes are now a BIG hit and miss. Most of the XL clothing is actually a large or short in length. And colors shown in catalog sometimes are way off.Best to try on the stuff at the store since they charge a ton of money to send stuff back that was ordered in the online catalog.Most people that shop at Orvis are buying the label, not the clothes since other stores like LL Bean, Lands End, and Eddie Bauer sell same items for way less.

Took free fly casting class it was a good class, the is small but loaded with so much equipment, staff is very nice and helpful. Signed up for one of there local fishing trips where they will bring some equipment if you dont have it. Looking forward to more help and fun.

I just love the Orvis Pasadena store. The customer service is first rate for both the clothing and fishing sections. The selection of clothes is vast and the quality if the product is top notch.

I just called in the store ask if they fix rod. Susan said they only fix their own rod. They don’t fix the rod purchased from elsewhere. And $60 to look at it. What a ripped off

This is my favorite place to shop for man gifts . But to my surprise I love the girls stuff to. Great quality clothing.

Took their free fly fishing class, free parking in structure, located on south Lake Ave on corner of Del Mar and Lake. Easy to see from street. Some street parking but structure is free, so why go on a street parking hunt. Nice well lit store with a lot of fishing gear.

I shop there, my dad shops there. It is a neat little place, they get to know their customers and are a very relaxed place. Mostly aimed at fly fishing, you can still find some nice stuff if thats not your cup of tea.

I love this store as it caters to a deep seated addiction--fly fishing. I buy far more things that are superfluous to requirements prior to each adventure- the latest being to Mongolia for Taimen. Earlier in the spring it was to the Bahamas for Bonefish. The manager, Susan Mandl, is always helpful. Nick Vargas and the fishing manager, Jacob Gorman, make shopping there part of the vacation experience. Frank Burr, on the other hand, was one of the only unpleasant experiences I have had in my time in fly fishing. Truly a jerk. I asked how Nick was and his response was I dont know and dont give a damn. It went downhill from there. He botched the winding and misplaced the reel. Thank God Jacob was there to undo his dirty work. I still love the place and I find the prices and sales irresistible.

The only place I buy clothes. I want two of everything in their catalog
