Great location and amazing staff! They welcome and treat your fur babies like family. They have a great terracotta pots collection outdoors and I found what I had been looking for. I like their plant collection both faux and real and also the succulents. Ive had some luck with the succulents purchased from here so I do recommend buying those. They have everything youll need for construction and repairs and its a lot of walking so come with a list and ask for help from any of their employees. They are knowledgeable and will be happy to help.

DO NOT buy appliances here. They hide behind the fact that they are shipped from the factory so when one is delivered not functioning and defective there is nothing they are required to do Might as well shop on Amazon, at least then there would be helpful customer service agents when a problem occurs.

I think they need to do some inventory organizing. They often have it blocking entire isles so you can’t get through and the straps and dunnage from old pallets laying around. I guess they are making an effort to keep everything in stock but not at the expense of a bad shopping experience, please.

Although there are a few staff members that are super nice and knowledgeable, I generally dont expect to receive good help when shopping here. They dont always have the part I need, but it is very convenient so its almost always the first place I start.

I had such an unpleasant experience, The lady at the checkout counter Sunday afternoon was very rude. I had a large cart full of lumber after waiting in line a long time my almost brand new Home Depot credit card kept getting declined for no apparent reason, I knew it had a zero balance and it’s the only form of payment I brought with me when I explained this. After 20 minutes of phone calls and never getting a clear answer I was so disgusted I left the cart and swore I would drive the extra few miles to lowe’s from now on.

This is my home based Home Depot Location as it is located less than 5 minutes driving time from home. I have gotten to know many of their long time employees and similarly to the new or somewhat new faces, they are always ready to help with a smile and good attitude. Their knowledgeable staff, always come to my rescue when I need help and that or very appreciated.One thing that needs to catch up with the current times we are living, is the implementation of touch less payment system in their POS system so that we can use Android, Apple, Samsung, etc., as a convenient way for customers to pay for their purchases.

Moving to a home in Overland Park and needing repairs can be challenging. After shopping numerous stores for ceiling fans and bathroom vanity lights, Christina at Customer Service Desk was very knowledgeable. She helped me place a special order and schedule an installer. While I was finishing the transaction, an installer called. Wonderful service. As for lighting, I could not find a certain product. Alicia was walking by, she stopped, helped me look for the product, got a ladder and searched the stock, and found one in stock at a nearby Home Depot. The only negative for the store is the fact that your online stock availability does not match what is really in the store. Thank you. We will use this store again. In one week, we have spent close to $1,000 here because your staff are so helpful.

I only wanted to install a new water fixture in my bathroom vanity. After assessing the plumbing parts I thought I needed I went to Home Depot. Come to find out 5/8 pex isnt used any longer and I was at a loss.Thank God for Dave in your plumbing department!! I showed him pictures I had taken under the vanity and he was like boom, boom, boom. Thats how ya do it!Thanks Dave, you rock!!

I had an online purchase I made for store pick up and chose the option for curbside pickup. Once I checked in, I had my purchase brought out to me in about 5 minutes! I was impressed. As soon as I walked in someone asked if I needed help finding something and I asked where the hose clamps were and he said “aisle 8 go 3/4 on the way down and it’s on your right”. I went there and it was exactly what I was looking for. I also had 3 other people ask me if I needed assistance.

Home Depot has a nice program for kids where they give out kits to take home and put together a small project with wood and nails/screws. Sometimes they are holiday themed, other projects have included binoculars, an ATM, and a hockey rink. Pre-covid they had these kits available to do in the store on the first Saturday of the month.

Nice setup. Able to pickup items in garden section and then exchange water at the checkout. Arrows pointing the direction down main isles helps a lot. Keeps store traffic moving. They should add arrows to all isles. Skipping the entrance line when the store has plenty of capacity is a nice change from my last visit.

I would say that most of the Home Depot stores are about the same. Some a little bigger than others but about the same. Its the people working there that usually defines the store. We had very good people helping us with a big purchase that took up time from thier usually duties. My thanks to all the people who went the extra mile to help us.

Purchased a GE French door refrigerator, delivered on 11/27/2020. Side bowed out due to insulation put in wrong. Have had 4 other refrigerators delivered to replace, all with the same or worse issue. Delivery people say it is known problem because they are rushing manufacturing. Taken time off to be at home for all deliveries, moved food out of current refrigerator, etc. but HD has not even said they are sorry, offered appropriate compensation or taken any responsibility. So frustrated! Would like to do something else, but space limitations make this model necessary. Dont buy from HD, they dont stand behind what they sell and they dont care about your inconvenience. No stars for Home Depot!

Had to return and exchange a natural gas Weber grill I ordered in error and was delivered. Great support throughout exchange process starting with the 800 number customer support who identified the store it came from. The return and reimbursement was quick and that employee called a person in grills to help me. That person found the boxed propane grill I wanted and loaded it on a cart. I was offered help loading it at checkout. Great experience. Thanks.

Showed 4 keychain garage door openers (Chamberlain) in stock yet had none, I had to substitute a visor opener that they did have in stock so my issue was resolved just not as exactly as planned. I spoke to two employees about it whom did not adjust their in stock items even after an hour has passed (I checked their website again) so that more would be ordered. Id have hoped they would have made it more of a priority to adjust their stock so I could plan to pickup what I was originally after when it arrived in stock, another store or online would be my best bet but I would recommend calling and having eyes/hands put on items that are important to you rather than trusting their app/online stock as I now have a different perception as to how important it seems to be to not only an employee who worked in that section but another one that appeared to be a floater between departments and/or management, possibly.

Paid a plumber to pickup a sump pump kit I paid for online. After taking apart my old pump we discover a broken, dirty pipe in the box that obviously came from someone elses pump. A return where HD did not inspect the contents. Now I am out the time I paid the plumber to pick it up and try to install it and must pay him again to return it and pick up another. Unforced error by HD.

The staff all knew what they were doing and it’s a no nonsense place. Masks are enforced to limit the spread of covid-19 and I saw carts were being disinfected regularly. All of the employees knew what they were doing and helped me find what I needed right away. I decided to get some materials for a home project I wanted to finish and everything was out there and easy to find.

Home Depot off 135th in OPKS is a really great store. The Lawn and Garden guy really gave us his time as we mulled over the literal details of each lawn mower they had for sale and we talked about the ones in online sale too. He was very patient and encouraged conversation and didnt make me feel I was taking too much time. We just got a new house and I know we made the best choice for our lawn mower. I was feeling so nervous after living in an apartment for 10+ years and Home Depot really helped calm our nerves. Cant wait to go home and use our new toy!

DO NOT use Home Depot and their kitchen remodel/cabinet refacing services. They will quickly get your home inspection done, plans drawn, materials picked, and take your FULL payment. Then, they will give you the run around and push back your scheduling dates. The company they use, Crew2, is terrible. We scheduled and paid in full for a kitchen remodel (quartz, back splash, cabinet refacing, cabinet pull outs) in August of 2019 with a start date for September. Our project didnt start until the week before Thanksgiving. I was pregnant at the time and wanted everything finished before the baby arrived. Nope, they started our home project the week I went to the hospital to have my child. During that time, the contractor (who by the way is the only good employee I have dealt with) refaced the kitchen island with the wrong material. Not his fault, he only brings what the warehouse gives him. I was not home at the time it happened (baby and all) so now I have been trying to get someone to answer my emails, texts, and calls, to get it fixed. Dana, the Home Depot rep, told me texting is a better way to reach him. He hasnt answered one text I have sent. Save yourself some stress and go somewhere else.

Have been a Home Depot customer for years and spend up to $10,000.00 (TEN THOUSAND) or more every year.I purchased two shower cartridges today with a store credit card (when I return items I usually put them in a store credit card I carry because I spend a lot of money at Home depot, not because I dont have the receipt or anything). About an hour later, I returned the items because I could not take the old one out so I had to call a plumber. My return is denied and HD receipt said to call a company called TRE. I did and a guy who was extremely rude and unprofessional took my email and hang up. This is something I would consider a suicide by a company who is pissing off a customer who spends thousands of dollars a year. OF COURSE I will return items that are not used when the project is over. If they do not want merchandise returned, they simply need to tell customers, NO RETURNS, which is fine by me. By rejecting a few dollars worth of return, they just lost a perfect customer forever. HD may not be aware that THERE ARE other companies such as Lowes, Mennards just next to their store. What a stupid idea, isnt it. Keep doing it, you will understand when your name is next to companies like Sears in the history. Customer is always right, always, always. REMEMBER this.

We purchased kitchen cabinets and countertops at store #2209 at 135th Street in Overland Park. Our designer and salesperson was Linda, and I would give her 10 stars if I could. Unfortunately, once you order (and pay for installation and materials in full up front) the experience is horrendous. We ordered our cabinets in September 22. Our cabinets arrived on Oct 27 and filled our garage for nearly a week before we could get an “unbox” scheduled. During this inspection it was found that 2 cabinet boxes and 3 doors were damaged beyond repair in shipping. That was on a Friday so no reorders could be made until the following Monday. Then you wait 2 weeks for replacements to arrive before an install date will be scheduled. Understand you are not dealing solely with Home Depot, that is just where you order and pay. Another company makes the cabinets, 2 separate shipping companies handle the cabinets before they get to you, an installation “broker” if you will, based out of Minnesota schedules the unbox and install with a local installer and then another company is responsible for countertop installation. There is no one to call and you will continue to get passed off from person to person. It will be nearly 1 month from the original cabinet delivery before we finally get an install. Remember, you have paid for everything up front so you have no recourse. Of course, everyone you speak to at Home Depot is “sorry.” Do yourself a favor and use a local cabinet company and installer. You will be time and money ahead.

I like that if you have a pro extra account, which is free to anyone, Home depot keepes a record of the total amount of money you have spent for the year. This is a big help for doing taxes. It also allows you to return in exchange things without a receipt. If I had to suggest an improvement it would be that they give automatic discounts as the amount you spend increases.

Ryan is awesome - Excellent knowledge and customer service.We shopped for a lawn mower today. Ryan helped us narrow our choices. Of the three we had selected, he gave us pros and cons for each. He opened boxes so that we could see what he was talking about. When we had it down to one, he set the mower up and answered all our questions. We decided to buy it and Ryan told us about a $100 discount. When we were through with our purchase, Ryan loaded the mower in our truck.Ryan is awesome - Excellent knowledge and customer service.

We were parked out in the far part of the parking lot and had to return to have the device taken off. Once inside Marilyn said I went out too soon. Made mistake going this OP store. Im out of Olathe & have never been to this location, but the item I needed was only in stock at this OP location. I go inside to get my order & the guy inside says theyre only doing curbside pickup & I had to call the store. I call & this guy named Oscar gets all mad that Im pulling a big trailer & cant park in the curbside pickup location. He tells my to just pull up alongside the canopy area. I do so & about 10 minutes later these 2 girls come out with my order. I get out of my truck & the older of the 2 gets an attitude & snaps at me, next time you come here you need to park somewhere else, youre in the fire lane. That guy Oscar told me to park there.
