Every time I have a need for a household appliance in good or better than good condition, this is the first call I make. For some reason being a fix it & appliance store and specializing on fixing vacuum cleaners I thought you could replace my belt. I wasnt asking you to repair anything. 2 guys behind the counter, no customers I would think you could just see what kind of belt I needed and replace it. Nope I was asked to leave it there. You guys are ridiculous and lazy. I have had to replace many belts in my day but because I just got it from a friend it wouldnt have taken you any time to just grab a screwdriver and see what I need so I can do it even myself.This place is a dissapointment. If all you can do is point to where the belts are you should probably just stick to bigger appliances or close down.

This company I would recommend to anytime. The set I picked out was bigger than I realized. It was so difficult that I thought I was going to have to cancel my purchase but these gentlemen added another person and came up with a plan to get my set in the basement putting off their own plans they had to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Better than most places! I bought a washer from them after my washer went out and I bought another bad one off of Facebook. I was able to buy and have it delivered the same day. I did have an issue with the appliance within the first week and they came same day to fix it. Very reliable.However, I had now had two issues with the washer since I bought it a little over a month ago. They (which I understand) want to charge me for them to pick it up and take to there shop and charge me to bring it back. $50 each trip plus miles. They will not let me trade the machine in now because I am out of my 30-day warranty. The issue both times now is that the washer leaks from the bottom of the machine. All I want is a reliable washer. They guy on the phone was rude and hung up on me.

Was able to buy my washer & dryer and have them delivered the same day. Set up and tested before they left the house.

Every review complementing Tom and his shop are 100% accurate. It is a great business offering a great service. I really like the washer and dryer purchased and installed on 12/15/2020.The one star review is from the in house 30 day warranty. On 1/9/2021 the dryer’s heating function stopped heating (25 days after the installation of the unit). I called Tom who was great on the phone, he explained that it would be $30 for the service call if I couldn’t bring the unit in to get looked at. He also said that after speaking with a technician, if the problem is one specific part that the in house warrantee would not apply to the part. Odd but what are my options? Not having the means to transport the dryer I agreed to pay the $30 house call to have the machine looked at.The tech arrives and determines that the part that the malfunctioning is the part not covered by the warrantee. If I want it fixed it is $49 for the part, and the $30 service call is now $100. I pay and the tech fixes the machine for $162,.56. It is now functioning properly.Before the tech leaves I ask how to prevent this part failing in the future. He said that the part might have failed because either the exhaust was clogged, or the 90 degree vent elbow caused the unit to overheat. The exhaust tube was clear, and the 90 degree elbow was the one recommended by Tom at the time the unit was installed. Again, the exterior venting system was not clogged. The tech that came out for the house call saw that it was not clogged. The entire 10 foot vent was removed, and we could see right through it. Also, the dryer was not overloaded with clothes to cause heat build up on the inside.The 30 day in house warranty on the sale tickets does not have exclusions on it. The machine stopped functioning properly after 25 days. If either there was no warranty, or there were terms and conditions on the warranty listing non-covered items. Then I would totally understand.The purchase of the washer and dryer failed to meet expectations.

My hard to find floor torchiere lamp broke and Mr Fix was able to get it operational again. I had taken it to several lighting stores in the area and was mainly refused to work on it. The one that did try made the switch even more dysfunctional. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all appliances and have a great relationship with a parts supplier that can get most anything they need right away to get an item back in commission.

This was an amazing appliance place. Tom took great care of us, gave us an amazing deal, and really had our best interests in mind. Being a bit of a Ms. Fix-It myself, I was in the midst of repairing my dryer when I ran into a snag - I couldn’t find the right kind of wire I needed to replace the one that had frayed and melted in my appliance. I’d been to three hardware stores and none of them had the same kind that was in my GE electric dryer. I decided to stop by Mr. Fix-It for some advice on where to find the right wire for my repair. Instead of directing me to a supplier or the internet, the guys there looked at the old wire I had with me, asked how long it needed to be, and gave me enough wire to complete my repair successfully - no charge! With that sort of customer service, I know I will turn to them in the future when I am faced with an appliance repair that is beyond my abilities. Thanks, guys!

Mr. Fix It was integral in finding a part for my cooktop stove that I was told was out of stock in all of KC for an indeterminable amount of time (this was by another appliance repair service in town). After delays with this other company, I contacted Mr. Fix It hoping anyone might be able to find this part. Tom dug around for a day and was able to locate a couple of different options to obtain the part and was willing to fix it at a lower price. It pays to work with someone who has connections! Tom was so friendly and prompt and really came through for me! Will go straight to Mr. Fix It for all my appliance battles in the future!

The prices are fair and delivery was prompt and affordable. They even hooked up my dryer hose for me which had nothing to do with the appliance I purchased. I love my new washing machine. I would have given 5 stars, but there was a small hole put in my drywall while moving it upstairs. Still better than I could have done on my own.

When they did not feel they had the expertise to do the work, they referred me to someone who has more experience in their area. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to help me.

These guys are awesome! I needed a part for my broken dryer that everyone else was telling me was discontinued. They had this part and helped me over and above what they needed to do to make it very convenient for me to install when I got home. When I had my front load washer sound like a freight train in my 2nd story laundry room, I found Tom giving a honest and thorough explanation about repair or replacement. Incredible service! Ive never encountered a business like this one. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and his one goal seems to be to make his customers happy. I bought a vacuum from him that I was about 80% happy with but that isnt enough for Tom. He let me hold onto the model I bought until he got his next shipment and the model I was looking for. Im the type of person who hates to throw things away if theres any possibility that they could still be used. My vacuum cleaner was lacking suction, so I looked online and found Mr. Fix it and Appliance Sales. I brought my vacuum cleaner to them. TERRIBLE SERVICE - NO INTEGRITY On Saturday, July 19, 2014, my daughter Kate dropped her iPhone off at Mr. Fix It at 7531 Metcalf, saying she wanted the sound to work right. They called later and told her it needed a new speaker. They asked if she wanted to replace the cracked screen, too, and believing that her phone WOULD work correctly when they were finished repairing it, she told them to go ahead and put in a new screen.The bill came to $120 with tax — nearly a whole weeks paycheck for her — but the new speaker has NOT taken care of the problem. When she brought this to their attention that same day (Saturday), they offered to re-install the non-working speaker and refund that part of the bill. Kate said she would not have had the screen fixed if the phone couldnt be made to work correctly.So a friend and I (Kates mother) went to talk with them on Monday. The manager, Tom, told us it might be the motherboard, but had NOT given Kate this same information when she needed it — before authorizing any repairs at all. After all, she could have bought a NEW phone, had she known a faulty motherboard was involved. Moreover, Tom admitted that he should have given her this information. Tom then mentioned possible water damage, an issue that hadnt been brought up on the day of the repairs, either.I said, Take the new speaker, take the new screen, TAKE the ENTIRE phone, and give Kate her money back; it is NOT working properly, as expected. Johnny Nang, the tech and owner of Mr. Fix It, is refusing to take responsibility for their negligent diagnosis and shoddy service, not to mention creating good will for this business.

These guys were great! I came in looking for a wash machine, found what I needed, and they delivered it to my house that night. Since I was in the process of moving, I hadnt yet hooked up my dryer and they noticed I needed a different cord for the outlet in my laundry room. They switched them out for free, and hooked everything up for me. Ended up getting a dryer from them as well when mine broke down. Great guys.
