Ive been to Taysom twice now, and Im definitely planning on going back next time I need something done. I really feel like I can trust their experience. Jared, the front desk guy I was interacting with most of the time, was really good at explaining things and always made sure to call to keep me in the loop about what was going on with my SUV. They were really good at diagnosing what was going on, and were even willing to help me out afterwards when I had some questions about determining cause-and-effect with the rest of the vehicle. Ive honestly been recommending Taysom to all my friends when they post on Facebook asking for repair service recommendations, so I think its about time that I post a review on Google too. A young gentleman by the name of Ryan worked on my vehicle, extremely handsome fellow. Took apart my entire car and had it back together in just a few hours, one of the best mechanics I have ever worked with. If you ever take your car here make sure you have the boy that goes by the name of RYAN work on your vehicle, very honest and hardworking.

Everyone here is very nice! I came for replacement tires and they helped me find gently used ones for the best price in town - half the price of used ones at C at California tires!! They were very fast about replacing the tires and patient with my kid in the waiting area (which is large and very nice!) - I would go again without a second thought.

The quality of the tires I purchased today - excellent. I felt as if I was driving an entirely new car. But the quality of the service? I wish I could say better. We were greeted by Lloyd, who was very helpful and had a charismatic approach to helping us, but when he said it would only take 20 minutes we ended up waiting for exactly 2 hours. Two entire hours.So if you want good quality, definitely check them out, just make sure you dont have plans first.

Buyer Beware. This is my first and last time using Taysom Tire. I was referred to Taysom Tire, so I thought they must be a reputable company. I took my vehicle for a diagnosis. They evaluated the vehicle for an hour at a cost of $95 and asked for permission to continue to evaluate for an additional hour (another $95). Before giving permission I asked what they suspected as the problem. They told me they thought it was a bad computer. I then asked what it would be to replace the computer? I was quoted around $1100. I gave permission to continue to diagnose. They called back later that evening and told me it was a bad computer, BUT they were way off on the estimate to repair it. It would be almost $1900. They claimed the cost of the part alone was $1200. Due to the sticker shock, I made some more calls. I called the dealer and found that the part from the dealer was $787 and the dealer could install it for $240. As soon as I heard that I lost all trust in Taysom Tire. They are price gouging. I attempted to call Taysom Tire several times to ask them what they would do about it but got a call not able to go through message (I think they must only have one telephone line). I ended up walking in to have a conversation with them. I told time their price was almost double the dealers. The response was to hand me back my keys and charge me $200 for the diagnosis. I was very surprised. Ive found most mechanic shops attempt to charge you as little as possible if they cant fix your problem, especially if they miss quoted the price. Not Taysom Tire. They took their $200 and sent me on my way without any response as to an apology for the incorrect quote or an offer to reduce the diagnosis expense. I will not ever use Taysom Tire again. I sincerely doubt they spent two hours diagnosing my vehicle. I called the company that referred me to Taysom Tire and recommended they not refer anyone to Taysom in the future. Im also posting my warning here to those considering using Taysom Tire. Buyer Beware.

Honest and friendly service everytime.

I only take my car into Taysom! I trust them completely and have only ever received OUTSTANDING service from their team. They work quickly but effectively. They have a clean and spacious waiting area and are great about keeping you updated on the progress of your car. I just love them and I am so glad to have a great place to take my car!

Never been here but when my wife is visiting family in Orem and something goes wrong with the car she takes it here. They are very fair and reasonable. They always get the car fixed even if its something very minor. Thanks for making sure the family car is running when Im not there.

Polite and competent. The store was clean and the workers communicated well.Update: took my car to Costco for tire rotation and they said that the previous people who worked on my car (Taysom) had damaged my lug nuts. Evidently Taysom had greased my tire pins and then over cranked the lug nuts on and over tightened them. I had to replace all the lug nuts Taysom had worked with. Costco politely suggested I not return to *whatever* shop I had visited.

I had the engine replaced here and management was awesome through the whole process! It was a big repair and took 2 months but Ive had my car back for a while now and Im totally satisfied with their work! my bumper did get scratched while it was there but they took care of that quickly and it was fine. overall a great shop! I would go there again and would recommend it to anyone!

Taysom Tire was quick and friendly to work with... I had some tires unmounted from rims and remounted onto other rims. I was surprised at how fast they had it done. There was also another lady in the waiting area who seemed just as pleasantly surprised at the promptness of the whatever work they had done for her. This was my first visit to them, but I will definitely check them out in the future!

Taysom Tire is the only place I trust 100% with my car maintenance and repair. I have had a lot of issues come up with my car this year from tires to repairs and they have always been fair and reasonable. They do a great job and are fair priced. I tried Taysom Tire by recommendation of a family member. They were able to schedule and complete my service quickly. They replaced the tie rods and u-joints on my 2009 Wrangler and even patched up a small coolant leak for free. Before I left, they recommended that I clean the dried mud from my catalytic converter (something I can easily do at home) so as to make it last longer and make the engine run better. Like most shops, they told me I should consider doing a few other repairs/services, but they werent pushy about it. Dont know much about the price, but it seemed reasonable. Ill be going back.

It was my First time to this Shop. After calling multiple other tire shops I found this one. They were less than half the price of the other big name tire shops. When I arrived Lloyd was very nice. Even stayed a little after closing to get me taken care of. This was the cleanest tire shop waiting area and front desk area I have ever been in! All the guys there were very helpful, friendly and made sure I was taken care of! I was not taken advantage of or anything because Im a woman. I would recommend this place to anyone! Found my New tire/Vehicle shop and its a drive for me but will no longer go anywhere else.

They put on a custom exhaust system on my mustang which really made it look nice. I was shocked when they told me the price because it was so much cheaper than other auto shops that quoted me for custom work. Highly recommend Taysoms for auto repair and custom work.

Ive been going to this store for years they have done everything for my family and friends from fixing flats to rebuilding engines. A list of some cars I have have taken in is 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser, 1970 Ford F-250, 1997 Ford F-250, 1993 Ford Bronco, 2009 Honda Pilot, and multiple Hyundais that were my sisters. One time I helped a mini van with a flat tire on the side of the 800n off ramp in Orem and sent them to get their tire patched here as well as today I brought a friends car to get fixed and instantly got satisfactory service. This shop has been around for years and is still family owned and has many wonderful mechanics. Support local businesses who get things done right and not huge chains who dont care about you.

Excellent service! I had shopped around knowing I needed work done. They talked me through what they felt I needed and saved me quite a bit compared to what I was quoted at other shops.

Had A/C compressor fixed, then had a problem again afterward. We are out of town, but warranty completely covered the (re)fix. Wow!!

Good service and they were quick and through. However, they lowballed us on the quote and we ended up paying almost $100 more than they had quoted us at. We felt like we were double charged on a few things.

Been taking my vehicles to taysom tire for years. They have always been honest and fair with me and been able to troubleshoot just about anything. And even on occasion been able to fix minor issues for me in minutes for minimal to no cost. I would recommend anyone to go to them for any make or model of vehicle the have.

I have taken my vehicles to Taysom Auto Repair several times in the last 2 years, and each time I have had a positive experience. The most recent was a difficult repair on my wifes 2008 Highlander. The shop manual said the labor time estimate was 20 hours. I confirmed this with a local Toyota dealership. We decided to go ahead and have Taysom do it, and they beat the repair time by close to 50%. We were afraid this job (parts & labor) was going to cost over $2K, but instead it came in under $1,200. They also kept me informed along the way so I wouldnt worry. I felt well taken care of. I will definitely use them again!

These guys went way above and beyond. They were recommended to me by an RV salesman and now I know why. They really took the time to consult with me to identify the real issue and they made a thorough check up on my vehicle. They even called me after my long road trip to see how my vehicle performed and to celebrate with me that the problem had finally been fixed! (I had taken it to another place earlier but the problem wasnt resolved.) I was surprised that they called to follow up since there was nothing in it for them at that point except a genuine concern to make sure they had served me well. I couldnt overstate my satisfaction with Taysome Tire!

Slime balls. I sat back and played stupid while I watched their con act. The one thing they did right was check to see if my truck would hold an alignment before they started, then promptly tried to sell me over 700+ bucks of parts and labor that werent needed. They even tried to convince me I needed a new rack and pinion by showing me play in the tie rod end. They will take you out in the bay and put on a good show, but its just theatrics. This review is the only two cents they will ever get from me.

My car overheated as I was passing Taysom Tire so I stopped in and they got started on fixing my water pump and timing belt immediately. They did it really fast (5 hours) and were very professional in their communication with me. Today my fuel line came undone from the engine block and I had to get towed back to them. I called them and told them I was coming. I was pretty upset, but they explained what happened and fixed it before I even walked in the building. They offered to pay my towing bill (but luckily I have good insurance) so instead they compensated me for the inconvenience and apologized that I had to come back. 5/5 these guys are for real. If you need anything theyll get you back on the road for the best price and with the best service.

Great people and great customer service

TERRIBLE. brought in our car because it was having trouble starting without a jump. we made it clear it was our only car and if they couldnt fix it same day then not to start on it. they did anyway, leaving us with out a car for a day and a half. they charged us over 300 bucks, and TWO days later the car completely died and couldnt start at all! we said we would give them a chance to fix their mistake, but they wanted to charge us another 400 bucks! they refused to pay for a tow truck or admit they fixed something that wasnt broken. we will never use them again, and I wouldnt recommend these thieves to anyone.

This is the ONLY place we go. They have fixed minor issues for no cost, when they could easily have justified charging us. They have bent over backwards (probably literally) to get our older vehicles to pass inspection legally, but at a minimum cost. These folks are our cars BFFs.

I trust these guys and their experience. They explain things well and treat you like a guest. I even made a mistake getting some candy from the vending machine (pushed the wrong button and got nothing) so I asked Jared for help and he got what I wanted for me. I did have to wait 3 hours for a fan belt replacement, and I wasnt informed it would take that long. They say 10-15 more minutes but it was at least another half hour as they were finishing up. I was one of the first ones there in the afternoon but the last to leave...I felt forgotten and in the dark.I wish they gave better estimates for how long things will take, but they do quality work. Our squeaky fan belt problem has been fixed!

Took my Buick in to fix a sensor problem, and they did thorough testing to solve the problem. They also fixed some noisy shocks for free. I have used Taysom Tire for years, and they do a good job of diagnosing, estimating, and fixing the problem.

Repaired parts that werent damaged, charged for services not rendered, & the price kept going up AFTER all the work was done. They do NOT return phone calls or notify you when the truck is finished.

They did an okay job at a reasonable price and were fairly quick doing it.

Great overall auto shop

Well its taken me a few years to write this review. I went back and forth trying to decide if I should write it. Ultimately I felt I should because warning women out there NOT TO GO TO TAYSOM TIMES is the right thing to do. I was quite pregnant at the time 26 years old and popping in for a Minor fix. The Gentlemen at the front desk came out to tell me that I needed 4 new tires I was completely bald with two of them and might as well change all of them. He kept giving me offers I said no I think I should talk with my husband before I make that purchase. He kept pushing me to buy the tires asking me if I could make those car choices on my own or if I needed to talk to my husband about everything. I laughed him off and left to discount tire in Orem where I originally bought my tires I told the employees there that my tires were bald he walked out with a coin and stuck it in every tires tracks. You do not need new tires! You have years left on these tires! Thank goodness I could see through that piece of garbage or I would have been out 400 dollars or so. What a slim bucket to take advantage of me. My husband has never had an experiences like this and had I been him I dont believe he would have tried that stunt. Shame on him for trying to take advantage of a women her believed to be dumb enough to fall for his dishonesty.

Well it used to be good when lloyd was doing the work, but now they just have a bunch of teenagers. i went so many time so this place and i came out of there every time knowing that i was going to have to return in a few weeks to fix something else. i hate to say it but i think when i went in to fix something, they accidentally broke something else so i would have to come get it fixed later. finally, i made the right choice and decided to start going somewhere else and that was the best decision ive ever made. when i took my car to the other place they asked about some part of my car (i cant remember what it was-its been a year or so) and they said they should have welded that together, but it was just glued ... that explains taysom. seems like they just do whatever is quickest to get the job done. go to dougs auto!! they are honest people! --its been over a year since ive been to taysom but felt i should write this review so others dont have to go what i went through. my parents felt the same way about them too.

I took my 97 Cadillac here a couple times to diagnose what was wrong with it. They somehow couldnt tell me the engine head gasket was blown until AFTER i already already paid for a new water pump etc. Jared, i believe his name was, running the front desk was a bit of a careless douche. Reason being is because when i brought my old Jeep in years ago due to an engine knock, he came out after talking with the mechanic to tell me that it was a water pump issue. When i asked him if he remembered that he was supposed to ask if that minor engine knock was a concern or water pump related, he shook his head no it wasnt, which later turned out to be a lie as the engine went south.
