Once again Laura and Destiny put yet another car back together. Demolished my front end radiator condensor transmission and all the lines etc. Laura was amazing with staying in contact with me and constantly updating me as they had our car a little over 2 months yup when i wreck i wreck good. Picked it up today looks and smells brand new again. Thank all of your staff and especially Laura and Destiny for keeping us updated!!!!!!!! This is i beleive the 3rd car they have put back together for me maybe 4 lpl

There was a recall on my car before I went in for service. The recall was for lower control arm which was broken and I took it in for repair. They repaired it and I asked them how come you did not replace the other side when both control arm should have been replaced at same time, Gerber said only one needed to be replaced. Few days later my other side of lower control arm broke and I asked them how much it is going to cost me for repair they said it will be $650 to repair it. I went to classic collision repair right next to them ask them same thing he said it will be $392. I said go ahead and replace It. When I left and then just in few minutes later he called me back and said there is a recall would you like me to still do the repair or do you wanna take it to the dealer so I took it to the dealer and they replaced it not just one side that was broken but they also replaced the side that Gerber replaced 3 weeks before. Main thing is Gerber the collision never looked at the recall I had and the repaired that was made and I paid for it was only good for 3 weeks after that the dealer replaced the same thing that was replaced 3 weeks before because when dealer repaired they replaced the lower control arm on both side not just one.

Cleanliness must be a prerequisite for this business. Inside and out even the work area were sparkling. The receptionist was happy and friendly when I came in and when I picked up. Also when I made the appointment.Jim took my car in, did the inspection, called when it was ready and checked it out with me when I came to pick it up. He was just great. Thank you Jim!My experience over all was outstanding. Kudos to allTo the management: I think you should put some kind of sign on thatbeautiful white overhang around your building. I know its expensive butjust Gerber would do.

Excellent customer service, quick turn around time, and impeccable workmanship! I am so happy to have an honest company to use whenever an unfortunate accident occurs. They returned my car to me in better condition than before my accident! I cant endorse them enough - if you are in the Novi area, this is THE shop to use. When my insurance company asks me where I want to do my business, I always tell them Gerber Novi.

My insurance recommended I go to Gerber Collision & Glass in Novi to have a bumper replaced after a small accident. I took the car in and went next door to get a rental. Two days later, my car was ready to be picked up. I first returned the rental car and the ticket was closed out, and then went next door to pick up my car.It looked good and had been cleaned well. However when I went to turn the key to start the car, the engine would not turn over. I tried a few times but was unable to get my car to start. Naturally, I was upset as I came in for a bumper replacement. It made no sense why my car would not be starting.It was a Saturday, so there was only one technician present, one sales team member and the receptionist. They advised they could charge my battery overnight and I could come pick it back up on Monday. So I went back over to the rental car place next door and they advised they wouldnt be able to give me the car back without an entirely new insurance claim being opened. Clearly, this wasnt a possibility. I went back to Gerber and asked if they would front the cost of the rental as this was their mistake. They declined. The receptionist called someone (maybe the manager?) but made no headway.After about thirty minutes we landed on just trying to jump the car. It seemed to work fine at the time. The technician and sales person looked over the taillights to make sure that nothing was loose. I appreciated the attempt at this. I was able to drive away with the car, and everything seemed fine.When I got home, I noticed that the color of paint was not correct. My car is a special color, Techno Pink, and I even mentioned this to the man who took in the car and information. The color that was applied was Evolution Pink. Im a bit peeved at this because car paint is mixed based on a code, so I feel due diligence was not executed in looking into my car. No explanation was given for the difference in color.Furthermore, the skid plate applied to the bottom of my bumper is incorrect. It is nearly blocking my exhaust. Again, no explanation was given for applying the wrong part. I believe they likely just wanted to get the job done quickly so used what was readily available.Worst of all, since getting the car back a few weeks ago, my battery has been extremely finicky. I have never had any issues with this car before taking it to this shop. But now, if I dont drive my car every day, the next day it has trouble starting. Im going to have to pay to replace the battery at my own cost, which is extremely frustrating and inconvenient as I am ill.I would strongly recommend bringing your car elsewhere. When I first saw other peoples reviewed regarding their batteries, I thought there is no way that would happen to me, Im just getting a bumper replaced. I was wrong. Dont make the same mistake I did.

Amazing service from start to finish. They made the process of getting my car repaired so seamless and easy. I have dealt with other collision shops in the past and had bad experiences, but not with Gerber. The best thing you can say about any repair place is that they make you feel comfortable. Every step of the way they made sure I understood and that I was comfortable with what was happening. They have excellent folks in their customer service team. They even charged my Chevy Volt for me. I would use them again any day of the week.

I am so glad I chose Gerber collision in Novi to handle my claims. From the first call to the final pick up, they were such professionals. They arranged my rental car and I utilized their concierge service to have it delivered and my car picked up. Great service! I had scheduling issues due to my work schedule and distance to where I work and they worked so hard to help make things happen. My car was ready in a timely manner and they communicated with me throughout the process. Thanks to the whole team there. I highly recommended!

This has been a time nightmare. Most of it related to lack of communication or incorrect communication. I was rear ended (minimal damage) so I brought the car in and they gave me an estimate. The soonest the could get the car in was a month from the estimate date. Since the car was drivable that was fine. A week later I hit a deer. Called Gerber the next day to let them know there was a new claim they would be working on. The person on the phone said fine, just bring it in anytime and they would write up an estimate. A few days later I stopped by for an estimate and they said that I had to make an appointment first and that they had none available before my scheduled time for repair. They said no worries, just bring it in that day and they would right up an estimate. I was heading out of town for 5 days right after I dropped the car off so I thought the timing was fine. All along I was telling everyone that I was hoping to pick up the car when I returned. Nobody told me that would not be possible. I called the day before I retuned and they said they had just broken down the car and ordered the parts. That the parts would take 3-4 days to get in and that it would likely take a week after that to finish the job. This was completely new news to me. They also told me that a part they may need (didnt know at the time) may take 6 weeks to get in and that I would need to leave the car there until it was complete. I was obviously furious. The only response I received from the estimator and the manager was sorry but that is the way it is, and that they have hired a lot of new people lately so they dont always communicate the right things. (Really??). They offered no help with a rental car even though they admitted to possibly inaccurate communication.Communication in this place is horrendous. If they would have told me all this in the first place I would have been fine. Maybe I would have looked somewhere else, who knows. My recommendation is to either go somewhere else, or make sure you have specific times and dates discussed and documented.

I cannot express how angry I am with your your company. I brought my 5 year old car into your office for some simple passenger door body work. This was the first week in November. Three weeks later, the car still hadnt been worked on when we received a phone call from your company stating that something was wrong with the engine. He engine has never had one problem until in your possession. We pulled the car from your company and took it to a dealership. The engine is completely blown. It was 100% fine when we brought it in forPASSENGER DOOR WORK!!!! This occurred in your possession. How your company can claim this was unfortunate timing for us makes no sense, is infuriating and insulting.Recently, while out to dinner, a couple seated behind us was talking about their car they had at this location. While in for body work, the cars engine started having trouble. Same story, this location sent it to a mechanic.I have never experienced such gross negligence in my entire life. Honestly, I believe there is some sort of criminal scam going on here, most likely with the insurance company. I have a lawyer who is ready to pursue this.I will keep reviewing this company publically and legally until a resolution has been reached.Extremely disgusted,

I will never come back to this place ever again. I was in a accident and they missed scuff marks and paint scratches that were on my car then i had to point them out and they re fixed it. My grill kept popping out! That they supposedly fixed! Was never fixed! I been back up to this place multiple times to get my car fixed and each time it wasn’t fixed. Taking time off of work! Being late to work to drop it off and pick it up! Lol they fixed my mirror which was part of my claim and while driving on the free way about 3 weeks from getting it fixed it flew off while i was driving! Lmao this is no joke.Horrible place. This location in Novi. i can’t speak for the other locations I’ll never be back and any one who asks me about this place I’ll tell my experience which was a night mare!

I had a small repair done on my car. I just needed to have the rear view mirror replaced and painted. I was a bit disappointed because one side of the mirror was rough. Looked like it should have been sanded prior to being painted. But the mirror was painted over the rough plastic surface.

After getting a run around from my insurance company (Allstate) who wanted me to go to their direct repair collision shop, I found out Collex was also a Direct repair for Allstate and I did not have to make an appointment for an adjuster to come out, they handled everything. I told them I needed my car done by a certain date knowing the damage was minor, not only did they get the car done they went above and beyond repairing the splash guard under the front bumper and buffing out scratchs that were not related to the claim.
