Fantastic service, had my new Tucson in for scheduled maintenance. Neil was my service manager and very on top of things. Dropped my car off the night before so it could be first in line the next day and the car was ready in about 3 hours. They provided a video inspection of the vehicle and even a complimentary wash after completion. Highly recommend for both service and anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Working with Pamela was such a great experience! Car shopping can be very time consuming and stressful. Pam made it very easy to compare and test drive the vehicles I was interested in. Pam was amazing, as soon as we arrived at the dealership she greeted me and my fiancé in a super happy and attentive way. We were looking for a new car and we have been at other dealerships and looked at other brands but, didn’t get the experience, information and excitement as we did at LaFontaine! She promptly took us for a test drive and assured us that we would come out with a new CX-5. Said and done, we closed the deal we had to wait for the car as it was in transit. She kept us informed of the status and when our vehicle would arrive. She had everything ready when we came back to pick up our car, which was a huge help. Update: Im changing from 2 stars to 4 stars. Although this is the nearest dealership to me here in Southeast Michigan, they had more options when it comes to their inventory. I worked with Chris who was extremely patient with me and gave me genuine customer service.Previous: The sales person was okay. Took awhile to get him to assist me. Sadly this is the only Mazda dealership nearby.

This is the only closest mazda dealership from my place about 30miles. Took my car to have my driver and passenger airbag replaced due to a takata recall. Service took 2 1/2 hour. Theres a lounge where you can wait. Friendly staff.4 star because its far.

What a way to change a 1 star rating into a 5 star... I went in for an issue with my 1 year old CX5. Initially, the service department was going to charge me a diagnostic fee. But, after speaking the owner Adam, it was quickly resolved - he stated we in the business of selling cars and providing excellent service, not selling fees. I will definitely be back for my next vehicle purchase!

Absolutely terrible place. 4.5 hrs to buy a car when I came in with my own financing!!!! Another lady was there for 6 hrs. Tried pressuring me into extended bloatware warranties. Became very very rude when I said no and kept pressuring me. Everyone standing around and not helping anyone. Couldnt get the paperwork right. Its amazing if all the documentation was correct. Tried to wear me down to hose me on the car. These people arent professional and dont care about your business. Contacted the owner... no response from the owner.... shows what kind of place this is. Wish I could give negative stars. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that truely WANTS your business.

My check oil light has been on consistently after getting an oil change somewhere other than Mazda. Considering I have a brand new Mazda leased vehicle, I made an appointment to have Ralph Thayer’s service department check it out.I got to the door for my scheduled appointment and they turned me away. I had my SUV serviced here this week. Joey was very professional, he explained what would be done and how long it should take. Complaint on ServiceI happen to come to this dealer giving them a chance and opportunity to service my Mazda CX-5, Mat the service guy seemed to be very confident on what he was trying to explain.1.However the service was done but I found a scratch on my windshield, when I checked with Mat he says it was already there. Which is a lie.2. Mat confirmed to me that all the mechanics were certified. But later when I approached him for an Inspection on my Mazda CX-5 which was bought from another dealer. Mat says that his mechanics are not certified. It was a joke to hear that from him running a dealership for Mazda. Later he says they are certified but they don’t have the Certification to do Inspection.There is no Certification required to do an Inspection and Mat thinks his customers are fools.Sad that I had such a bad experience with a new dealer whom I thought would do better based on Mats explanation.Complete lies to take note of.

Made an appt to test drive a vehicle. Drove over an hour to get there. Arrived and the manager, Britany was in her office. She never came out to greet us, nor did anyone else. Waited for someone outside to finish with a customer. He located vehicle. I asked a couple questions about the vehicle to which he did not know the answers. Took the car for a test drive. Came back and no one acknowledged us again. After the original person finished with another customer, he asked if I had questions. I reiterated my questions and asked another to which he didn’t know. I asked him about price. He then went in to talk to the manager and came back without answers and a signed authorization from Britany that I could pay full price. Well thanks I guess. He said he would follow up the next day with answers, he didn’t. I left a voicemail, no return call. I left message for manager. No return call. I then got a follow up call from someone else asking if I was interested in the vehicle. Yes I am but I would like answers and to talk about price. I also told her about my experience. She transferred me to the manager. Britany said she would get answers and would be happy to negotiate. Great! No return call. I called back twice. No return calls. Sales associate calls me late that evening and says he will get answer to my questions and happy to negotiate. The manager will call me in the morning as it is his day off. No call. Now vehicle is no longer on website.

Friendly staff go there for parts had a Courtesy repair done approved by Mazda was for a faulty dash was told there would be no cost when I picked up the car than I was told that the service manager had decided to charge me 790.00 for labor and Im sure they charged that back to Mazda and got paid on the labor I would go to Annarbor for repairs but Joey was awesome to deal with and the whole situation was not his fault as for the repairs there were finger prints on the inside of my gage cluster and scratches on my windshield .

When i called back to give them my deposit they informed me they sold the minivan to a dealer employee for more MONEY! They wasted my time! Nothing is more valuable than time! Do not recommend service center. Went in for repair on old Mazda 3, waited for 2 hours, diagnosis was broken shock, charged $130 (was told this would go toward the cost of repair which was not the case). They didnt have the part, and was told additional parts and labor would be 260. So nearly $400 for a shock replacement, so I declined the service--local shops all quoted me $100-150 for parts and labor to replace it.On top of this, the service team were clueless. Kept me waiting, abysmal handling of covid restrictions (no masks people wearing them on and off, in the lobby, in the garage, at their desk) one woman was facetiming someone at her desk while I was trying to ask questions about my car. Spoke with the manager, Derrick, who apologized but couldnt do anything as far as the cost, and couldnt offer competitive rates. On top of this, when I told them I wanted to leave just let me pay the damn $130 and go, they said they needed to do paperwork, kept me waiting another 20 minutes and I saw someone washing my car. I was like, I dont want a carwash I just want to get out of here. So basically I paid $130 for a carwash.

Been shopping for a pre-owned car with daughter, and most of the dealerships have seemed a bit out of sort (pandemic...). In that regard Thayer is no different: limited visible staff & empty showrooms. However, the people we interacted with were polite & not pushy, & they are likely to get our business. FWIW, we bought a (new) Hyundai through this group 3 yrs ago, and have been happy with their service. Cannot speak for service / sales experience for the other brands they carry.

Very unsatisfied with how the employees at this facility handle a pandemic. Was here for a oil change and was waiting in the waiting area. Every patron waiting had on a mask, but had at LEAST 5 employees walk past me without mask on. The gentleman that took my car back and brought with back out didn’t wear a mask while inside my vehicle.I really hope they take this into consideration and look out for the safety of EVERYONE.

I heard that Pam was a good salesperson to talk to and visited the dealership last Saturday. Unlike too many car dealer salespersons who dont know much about their own darn products, insist on accompanying you on test drives, and seem pushy, Pam was ideal. Her knowledge of and enthusiasm for Mazda products, and her easygoing personality, were a refreshing change of pace, and we test drove three vehicles in rapid succession. Thayer Mazda even has a poster on its front door outlining an ideal test drive loop that covers all road types and surfaces. Well done.

The car buying experience is good. However remember whenever you buy the car please do not fall in trap to their “MAINTENANCE PLAN”. The maintenance plan is not cancel-able and non refundable. Please read the fine print in the contract. I am paying extra 30$ for not even using it as I relocated to a different state. They would make the “MAINTENANCE PLAN” sound very profitable to you but believe me you will end up losing your money on it just like me. I believed they were good until they removed their masks.Also would not recommend to buy a car from here. They have low prices but they somehow make it up. I guess this is how.

I requested a service appointment and was told the service manager was busy and would call back shortly; this was at 10:30 in the morning. No one called so I called back at 2:30 again requesting a service appointment; this person booked an appointment. At my appointment I was told there is $120 diagnostic fee that is not connected with repair; my problem was the driver’s side door wouldn’t lock. Seems a trifle high; when I went to the dealer that used to be in Monroe; I never paid a diagnostic fee. It appears dealer is competing with high-end American made cars, such as Lincoln and Cadillac or BMW and Mercedes.

I didnt find any reward for customer loyalty nor did they care if I switched to a different brand. Even if I continue with Mazda, I wouldnt recommend this dealership.

These guys always take great care of me and my CX-5 whenever I come in for Service or installs. Joey is always helpful and explains any issues there are with the vehicle, and what needs immediate attention. Theyve even helped me out when I was in a pinch and I needed to get a wheel off after breaking a Lock nut key.Its always a quick and pleasant experience coming to the dealership for service, and I plan to keep coming to Ralph Thayer for all my future servicing needs. Great Dealership and Great Service!!!

I had stumbled into this dealership by mistake but it didnt turn into regret. I worked with Ethan Young through-out the entire process and it was very efficient and fair. The entire process went very quickly and Ethan was a great communication. Im so happy to own my 2017 Mazda CX-3 and i felt comfortable doing this on my own. Service center is amazing! They informed me the oil had been changed incorrectly by the competitor dealership I purchased my Mazda from, and went above and beyond to help me get a reimbursement from the other dealership.

Sales person gave me her google phone number, which was actually nice and made negotiating relatively easier.The deal I signed was under the condition that the car will arrive the next day. We didn’t get the car till 3 days later.Once the lease was signed, the customer service declined significantly!I’ve talked to them about 8 times so far, calls and texts, yet they haven’t mailed the car registration! (Leased the car about a month ago). What really is disappointing is that now the sales agent doesn’t answer my calls, and she takes long time to even return a text!That’s just simply unprofessional.
