NODO has some of the best craft sandwiches in Iowa City. Unique delicious combinations. Staff is very friendly. A bit tricky to find the first time, but definitely worth stopping in. You will become a regular customer.

Went to ace hardware and stuck my head in the door or nodo just to check things out. and it is really dirty . I dont think I would want to eat food from there. Please Nodo. just because you are a carryout only. clean inside your establishment.

The food here is always really good. I have never had an issue with the food but there is a worker that’s always there that is very rude always. I have gone here countless times and it’s such consistent rudeness I wanted to say something so hopefully it can be fixed. Another thing that happened that led me to posting a review (which I never do) is they switched up my sandwich (which I get it happens and I wasn’t upset about it) but I am allergic to ginger and they gave me a bahn mi sandwich. So I called in saying my sandwich was mixed up but I am cool with eating this one as long as It doesn’t have ginger because I have an allergy. Immediately he says he doesn’t believe there is any in it so I asked if he could double check due to my allergy. There was like 15-20 seconds of silence and he says yeah, no ginger and then hangs up on me. I didn’t feel like he actually looked but I thought I would give the benefit of the doubt. Low and behold there was ginger. I had hives on my face and some issues breathing. This plus the consistent rudeness I will not be returning to this Nodos ever again (the one at Ace hardware on dodge). I don’t want this to reflect on both nodos though so I will put in that the one in downtown Iowa city is absolutely lovely. Great atmosphere, great staff and better quality of food out of the two as well. So my advice is if you want nodos go downtown, they are miles above the ace hardware one.

This is place is a hidden gem. They have amazing sandwiches, dont be turned off because it looks like they are in a hardware store. The place is awesome. Try the sweet potato fries and garlic aoli.

To be honest, the fact that your eatery is right by an ace hardware store makes me very uncomfortable. i can always smell the plastic and cedar wood while im eating my salad. it does not go well with my coffee. no one likes drinking coffee while they can smell plastic and paint just across the street. not a very good sight either. please move your restaurant.

Always great food and they have worked incredibly hard to keep customers and staff safe and satisfied. I knew it was going to be a good day at work when we ordered Nodo for lunch.

Great food. Convenient from I-80. Shares a parking lot and entrance with an Ace hardware. Nice walk from downtown or north side Iowa City.

Cant pass up hot cappuccino or tasty sandwiches here. Food is fantastic! Fries and sweet potato fries come with delicious aeoli sauce and are always crispy. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

The north dodge location has amazing food. But its called Nodo coffee and the only coffee they have is drip. Good and bad surprise.

The Ham & Mango sandwich is the best. Service has always been friendly sandwiches are ready quickly.

Love this place, they have the best sandwiches (gf options of course 🙂) and the staff is very friendly, received a gift certificate after having surgery because the fellas there knows theyre the only place I eat at when in Iowa City for my dr appts

Made to order sandwiches, can take up to 10 minutes as they prepare your order, but well worth the wait. Love the breakfast burrito, its my go-to.

Ive had Nodo about 10 times now and it just keeps getting danker every time. Great balance of ingredient that makes the mouth water at the thought of Nodo. One of the best joints in all of Iowa. I recommend the Nodo Pork sandwhich but hell its all flame!!

The food is amazing and well worth the price. The building can be hard to find if you dont know where you are looking, it is connected to a hardware store, you have to walk through the doors of the hardware store and take a right and the restaurant is right there.

Great hipster restaurant with not your normal sandwiches, wraps and salads.

If you dont eat at NoDo (especially at the original location in the Ace Hardware building on North Dodge), then you are empirically a stupid, terrible, wrong, bad, and also stupid and bad person. Please dont eat there, though. You might take the last table, or eat the last chocolate/toffee/sea salt cookie. They have narcotics in them, is my theory. If they were all gone, I would be sad.
