Unique place! The Acia is absolutely delicious and the waffles are really good too. The fruit tasted very fresh. The service was super nice as well.

The best spot for a refreshing treat and relaxing study sesh. Hip and trendy atmosphere with quick and friendly service. I love the bowls and recommend these to most people that come to visit. My favorites include the Riss Moore Bowl and the Deez Nuts Bowl! Clean facility and I truly have never had a bad customer service moment here.

This place is good for those who are looking for alternative healthy icecream. Not for me though. And its a bit pricey, I dont know why they have one $ sign on google. My wife ordered the stair way to heaven icecream and it didnt taste like it at all. Its NOT matcha! In case you want to order. :)

Is my first time eating at Banán and it was very good. Very hip location that is a sustainably conscious and provides high-quality desserts with fresh local ingredients. The staff is super friendly and I look forward to coming here more.

Setting looks great, but thats just about the only enjoyable experience here. Food tastes bitter and acidic. If grass and dirt had a taste, itd probably be this. Its as if the owners never sampled their own food before selling it to the public. Pricing is absurd as well, its just way too overpriced. Probably the worst dessert experience Ive ever had. I have no idea where all these great reviews came from, but I really regret believing in them.

Took 30 minutes for a waffle and then were told the banana ice cream was not available, this is 2 months now. Would have been okay if there was an apology for making us wait so long, or if they would have told us the thing we paid for was not available in the first place but nope.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere in the store and their furniture is cozy. First time at banan I had just the choc mac. I think I ordered a small one but since I opted out of the toppings the portion was larger and it was hard to eat all of it! Second time I ordered the Lilikoi. The cashier was helpful and patient with me as I decided between that and Açaí. The Lilikoi was really good: perfect balance of sweetness and tartiness. I had it with mochi which was delicious! But the coconut wasn’t to my liking. It was crunchy and I think it had a sort of astringent taste? Kinda bitter. I don’t know if maybe it’s that or just in combination with something. I was hoping for fresh coconut which I think would’ve taken it to the next level. Did I mention I loved the mochi topping?

As a college student I enjoy have Banan near by the UH campus. Whenever I want to treat myself to something small that is not too expensive I like to walk over to Banan. I always receive great service and the food is always seems to be crafted with care. I also enjoy how Banan makes enjoying a treat healthy by making their food products vegan.

Banan University Store is a small, cozy place. It is inviting and ~for the most part~ a reasonably quite place. I liked it very much. The Ice Cream is ~in my opinion~ a questionable venture. 1.- There are so many options that gets confusing when it comes to order. 2.- To keep it simple, I ordered my favorite Chocolate Flavor; and they suggested to add Bananas.Well... the Chocolate Ice Cream tastes like bananas rather than chocolate; ...and the bananas taste like... well... bananas. Do you want the venture? Give it a try. Maybe, you like chocolate that tastes like bananas.

A lot of great options. I used to love their macadamia butter. The last couple of times Ive tried it it didnt taste as good as I remembered it. Nevertheless, the bowls are good and the staff is very friendly.

My vegan fiancee rates it 5 stars stars. She said even though it was supremely awesome​, taking into consideration that it is all vegan and all natural it is worthy of five stars. As a non-vegan I would rate it it four stars. I just had a plain banana one. It was kinda thick for being self serve. Service was super friendly :)

It’s all a bit overpriced but what isn’t?? These people have created a formula and they have it down and it’s DELICIOUS. Natural ingredients made into soft serve with minimal additives. Always hits the spot on a hot afternoon. Add in the usually happy-go-lucky UH student staff and you’ve got it all.

It was good, wasnt great. I love bananas, but this will be a place that I just said I went to just to say I did. I might go back one more time just to make sure it wasnt just the bowl I ordered,but it wasnt good enough to make it a priority. It was fine, everything was fresh, crisp, or crunchy it just wasnt delicious.

Great location indoors and lots of comfortable seating inside and tons of outdoor seating as well. Super friendly and also has water. The decor inside is super nice.A very healthy option to soft ice cream made from a banana base. You can pick or get a special. Fruit was not very ripe. Not sure who the vendor is for the Fruit.

Its fruit so yes sugar, but the healthy kine [lower glycemic index].My wife likes the place due to almost being completely vegan [I think honey is the only vegan offense]. They source from the islands.They also have a filtered water refill station, and separate their trash as to minimize their environmental impact.

Whoever was the Banana Artist around 3pm today did amazing job. It is very rare that you see a layering technique, nonetheless highly desired. For those not familiar with the layering technique, imagine you are sharing nachos with a friend. The friend is constantly taking from the top which makes your anxiety skyrocket because you know that youre about to be eating the barren chips underneath. When you take from top, theres nothing left for the chips underneath. BUT the with the layering technique, you place toppings on the first layer of chips, then add more chips, then more toppings and now you have a whole pile of chips all with toppings. WIN-WIN, amazing experience. This is what I got at Banan today. Banana, toppings, banana toppings. Well done.

This is a good ice cream alternative for those of you who cant enjoy cow milk - or if youre looking for cruelty food options. The locals only and chunkadelic are my favs but their soft serve menu rotates with the seasons of Hawaii s fruit. The bowl is more than enought to share with two people, or for one hungry person. This place is very unique. In a world of a million boring frozen yogurt places, Banan stands out.They make soft-serve from blended bananas and water, then add the usual toppings.

Drove through busy traffic to get there during posted business hours and the place was locked up tight. No notice on the door as to the reason why; just a sign showing that it should have been open while I was there. Thanks a bunch!

Banan! Love this place 😊 the quality of their product is very high and it is healthy snack. The atmosphere is a very laid back one and there are plenty of fun places to hangout and sit. The only thing I wished Banan would add is a restroom and wifi but I can understand how that would make the place too busy as people would definitely stay longer. Overall, its a great place to go!

This place is amazing. Im here on vacation and Ive been to Banán four times already, twice the food truck and twice here. While I prefer the food truck for parking, this place is always stocked with all ingredients and has chocolate mac nut base. I purchased the mac nut butter, and plan to get a t-shirt for good measure. I require coconut and chocolate in my acai bowls, which is hard to find on this island (note: also found at Haleiwa Bowls in north shore). Granola is the only downside here, I dont like the rice puff like things in it. Anyways, staff is always friendly and awesome too!The food truck was once out of bananas and another time out of granola... so youre safer going to this location. We ended up going to the main place both those times. I have tried the acai, choc mac, and banana. I prefer the acai. I also tried the large and regular size, but it seems the large got the same amount of toppings and was not worth $4 extra (besides the two scoops of mac but butter instead of one).I love you Banán.

This is one my favorite spots to visit when I come home. Banan initially started as a truck on Monserrat by some local students a few years back and it expanded to this second location last year. I love supporting local businesses and appreciate Banans transparency in its sourcing and use of local farmers. Everything is made with fresh fruit and nuts; theres no processed junk! I usually come to this location over the Monserrat truck because there are more flavors here. Yum!
