Went in looking to get into an electric bike the other day. Maria was super helpful and knowledgeable and explained everything about the bikes to me. I was able to test drive the bike I was interested in and that sold me big time. would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to get into an e bike. lots of price ranges and models to choose from. I love my new magnum cruiser. it just chews up hills no problem.

I appreciated the no pressure attitude at the store, which is one reason why my wife and I bought two Gazelle T10 Ultimate bikes that we both love. Mine came with a tick in the front disc brake, which I assumed may have gotten dinged during shipping. By my 3-month service, the loud ticking was driving me crazy. Mike and Alexander tackled it and while it took a few tries to resolve it, they persisted until they finally eliminated the only problem Ive had with the bike.P.S. My wife recently locked our bikes at a dog park and afterward, her lock wouldnt open. I called Jay, he drove out right then and saved the day.

Excellent customer service with no hard sell. They took time to listen to what I was looking for and explain the features each bike had to offer. Location right next to the bike path allowed me to test ride a few models before making my choice. I’m thankful for a local shop with knowledgeable mechanics and staff that will help keep me riding, whether as a commuter or for recreation. Took my new bike on a 14 mile ride today in the SW hills of Eugene and I love it!

Came into look at bikes, took a test ride and bought one. They have a good inventory, and their path for demo rides is right by the river trail. I was concerned about hill climbing, so they directed me to Skinners Butte to try the bike out on a hill. Overall positive experience.

This store has a great selection of e-bikes that are fairly affordable. They are pretty knowledgeable and helpful. The bike path is close by for test rides. We ended up buying a bike for my daughter. It was a brand we had not heard of before but we are very happy with the purchase so far. The only issues were that the bike was not gone over as thoroughly as it should have been before we left. The tires needed air, the headlight was scratched and the rear track had some chips in the paint and some features were not fully explained. Other than that, we are happy and would likely purchase from there again.

Eugene Electric Bicycles is a great family business to stop by and visit especially if you are new to electric bicycles. They are very knowledgeable & love to answer questions, quite friendly, not pushy, and will go above and beyond to help you find the right bike for you. Their rental/demo system is the best in the city, offering a free trial & rental options of almost any bike in the store. Id hop on a deal if you see one, as the bicycles tend to sell fast! Dont wait too long if you find one you love! On a personal note, I suffer from some mental/physical disabilities, and they were very respectful when working with me even when we ran into a bit of a bump in the initial transaction. They were willing to talk with me and work it out and I am extremely grateful for their patience and understanding. Thank you Marie & family!

Picked up a brand new e-bike for my wife today. The staff was great and very accommodating. And we got a good deal on a great bike. They even let us test ride a couple bikes around the river before we purchased. I would definetly recommend!

This place is a huge ripoff and its unprofessionally managedI initially took my bike into the shop because it would disconnect if it hit a bump I was told no problem itll be a week or two at most for repairs cut to 3 weeks later when they told me that my bikes battery was just very low and it would have a hard time making a connection when the battery was lowI insisted to them that this was not the original reason that I brought the bike in and to please take another look and they asked me to come backTwo and a half weeks later they finally called me to come and pick up my bikeThey told me that they had repaired my bikes battery terminals and it should work great nowSo I took my bike out into their parking lot to go try itIt did not operateI returned to the store to ask them about itAnd they just shrugged and told me ohh you must have a bad battery

Horrible!!!! I am a 64 year old woman who bought a Gazelle Medeo from this shop in April. It has left me stranded 3 times with a locked up chain that comes off of the derailer and locks up. They either do not know how to fix it or it is a bad product. Their customer service is deplorable - they blame me for this happening and tell me not to ride more than 5 miles from my home! I walked it to the shop - which was 5 miles - then when I asked for a loaner - they said I would have to pay for it! So I got to walk another 5 miles home.

This place is so great i bought three magnums from them and they have backed up any problem i had and have over 1500 miles on my one magnum cruiser in 10 weeks and i am so happy with everything about this company

Such great service on my wonderful electric trike every time I have to take it in. Ive had the trike four and a half years now, have had it serviced once and had two flats repaired with new tubes. One each occasion the staff have been courteous and efficient. This time they did not have the tube in stock but were able to direct me up the street to another bike shop where I purchased the tube and brought it back quickly for installation. Just wonderful service.

John was fabulous and let me ride at least 1/2 dozen bikes before I honed in on the Gazelle. Best purchase ever! I live in the SW Eugene hills and I can now leave my garage and ride home without collapsing on my front door step from exhaustion. I can go anywhere in Eugene now! There are days that my car stays in the garage. John is a busy guy so if he doesnt get back to you, try again. Have fun!

The folks down at Eugene Ebikes are awesome. We have been bike riders for many many years and have owned many of the major brands of bikes. We recently purchased two Gazelles and we absolutely love them. They have a 60 mile range on the batteries and are the quietest bike we have ever ridden. You just glide along feeling rejuvenated. It’s like you float down the road. With the different levels of pedal assist you control the work out. The pedaling feels natural so you don’t realize your on a electric bike until you hit a steep grade! The employees, service and welcoming store are all top notch! John and staff are amazing. I have a spinal cord injury that makes it hard to do climbs and an e-bike is perfect for me to feel safe and secure on a bike. John was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He really cares about the community and the promises of electric bikes for health, access, and our environment and it shows. They have been super supportive with tune-ups, questions (I ask way too many), and accessory support. Cant recommend them enough if youre looking for an accessible e-bike to get you on your commute.

After going to 4 other bike shops trying to get a 12 gauge spoke replaced for my vintage BMX bike, I thought I would give Eugene Electric Bicycles a try, they helped me right on the spot and were great to deal with, I am not in the market for an Electric Bike but if I was I would purchase here.

They have a really nice selection of electric bikes, and two folding styles as well. Staff was very helpful. It is a small space for shoppers but they only allow a few customers in at a time with staff assistance.Also they offer electric bike rentals for the day for only $40 if you want to try one out on a nice long ride!

Just purchased my e-bike 3 days ago. A Magnum Peak 500w. Absolutely love it! Have already put at least 50 miles on it. I bought my Magnum Metro in January 2019. The experience was great -- no pushy sales, no jargon-filled explanations, no bike shop snootiness (as I find in some Eugene area bike stores) -- and four months on I still couldnt be happier with my bike. Rides and handles great and makes my 10-mile one-way commute an absolute breeze. The bike is an absolute car killer. My partner and I and our two children only have and NEED one car since I purchased the Magnum. Eugene Electric Bikes is excellent.

My husband and I literally tested every electric bike within our price range in every bike store in Eugene. Eugene Electric Bikes encouraged us to try all of their different styles. There was no pressure and they were a wealth of information. I looked up the brands and found that the prices at Eugene Electric Bicycles were identical to online prices. I ended up buying the Gazelle and I couldnt be happier. They explained battery care and how to make the battery last longer. The bike is a dream! More importantly, it made a clicking sound and we took it in and they adjusted it on the spot so that I could continue my commute the following week. They also offer a free 3 month tune-up after purchase. I hardly drive my car anymore. I cant recommend Eugene Electric Bikes more.

I recently purchased an E-bike and found Eugene Electric Bicycles a great place to do my research. The owners are very helpful and gave me ample opportunity to try out several bikes while answering my questions after each bike ride. This is very helpful so I could compare and gauge the pros and cons of all bikes under consideration.I will come back.

I am a 61 yr old disabled veteran I purchased an electric bicycle because of my health, my first experience with John was good I love my bike. The first time that I needed service is where things went wrong.... I was satisfied with the price of my tune up a part was needed and it was covered under the warranty good so far then I took my bicycle home an 87 mile drive one way upon arriving home I took the bicycle out of the truck and walked it to the shed. The next day it rains so the day after I get ready for a ride and the front tire is flat...... so I figure that there is now slime in the tube so I pump it up and the next day it is flat again. I call the shop and John is not there so I explain all of this and the lady asks me to call back tomorrow when John is there, so I left my number and asked that John call me back, which he doesn’t. Then when I call him he says I caused the flat and he accuses me of trying to get free product..........I have put on 1165 miles this summer and I talk to a lot of people and have given him a ton of recommendations, but no more.Sucks to be you John.Really buying reviews for free products. After treating your customers the way you do you have to cheat to get a good review. And I am pretty sure that you didn’t write your own response johnny.I went to a local bicycle shop to have the front tire fixed and you didn’t even put the slime in the tire. I was billed for it. If you really cared about your customers you should at the very least return your calls and listen I asked for you to put slime in both tires, doesn’t make any since to put it in one tire. I choose this format to enlighten future customers this is what the review system is for and you have chosen this format as well.I had to block your phone number please leave me alone.Not to worry I will spread the love.Ok either johnny is lying to you or your just making things up. What a lovely experience. All of the people who work at this shop are extremely personable and knowledgeable about electric bicycles.There is also no pressure to buy - although I did - which I also deeply appreciated. They were also happy to custom fit me to my newly purchased bike and exchanged my bicycle seat for another more suitable to me at no cost. They also home-deliver. (-:It is fine to come in and try out an electric bicycles and go for a spin. They make it very easy to introduce you to the possibility that an electric bicycle might be in you future.

I met John, an owner, at a friends event and in conversation brought up that I was researching converting a bike to electric assist. He suggested that my wife and I stop by for a free test ride, just to get a feel for an ebike. We agreed that was a good idea, stopped in, and he had 2 styles, a mid-drive and a rear hub drive ready for us to try. We forgot to bring our helmets but he had loaners ready. He provided a thorough description of how to operate each bike, including what to expect with respect to acceleration and feel. John suggested a route for the test ride that was easy to follow, beautiful, and included a long steep climb. We loved the bikes, ordered our bikes and picked them up the following week. The process was easy and John has been available to answer questions after the purchase.

Been considering electric bikes for a few years now.... Today Eugene Electric Bicycles allowed us to take two bikes out for a test ride. Quite the test ride.. from river rd to the top of skinner Butte. And back of course. Which at 49 years old, never thought wed see the top of Skinner Butte from a bike, lolThese things are the bomb.....wow we we riding around, laughing, giggling, such a beautiful area we live in. I dont usually write reviews so you know I was impressed if Im writing one. John was so patient with all my questions. He let us test ride 4 different bikes. We rode up Skinner Butte to affirm the bikes would go up hills. John and Mike were both knowledgeable, friendly, with a delightful sense of humor. And I also thank John for his honesty and not being a pushy salesman. Otherwise I may have purchased the wrong bike. It turns out the one I was first interested in (and it was the more expensive bike) was really not the one for me. So Im so pleased he didnt try to upsell like so many businesses do today. Their store has a large selection. If you are in the market for an electric bike, I recommend dealing with Eugene Electric Bicycles.

I love this bike. It is everything I hopped for. As with my first Electric bike the Return on Investment will be fast. Less than two years in Gas alone. I added all the extras to carry my 5 year old to her summer camps and then school in the Autumn. She loves riding with me and we have a great time. As I did before I know I will be able to ride most of the year and really enjoy my time on the bike. The Staff was great to work with and helped me get the bike that was right for me and my family. I came in looking for a part, for my bike, that I did not buy from them. They were very willing to assist me on getting what I needed. They ended up having and selling me a part that we thought would work, and it did! Most of the time you get the feeling that you didnt buy this from us, we cant help you attitude from other places. These are great guys.

Marie, Tom, Michael and John were all extremely nice, polite, and helpful to my wife and I. My wife and I are both short and wanted to ride a bike that would work for both of us. We explained what kind of riding we do and Marie then directed us to the best possible bicycle for our needs and suggested two others small framed bikes to test ride also. We new nothing about electric bikes before going in the store but Marie and John explained the pros and cons of every bicycle that would fit us. They also went to great lengths to make sure we had suspended seat posts that fit us!!! Unbelievable experience!

Ive logged 200 miles on my Maui Electric Bike. It gives me the power to bike into town and back. Steep hills no longer are an obstacle. It is a sturdy well built bike. I would like a better mechanism to change assist levels as the buttons are hard to push when biking, especially when my fingers are real cold.Marie and Tom were ready to exchange bikes and travel 60 miles to my home with a new bike. It turned out that I just need to get used to the assist level buttons. I am impressed at how far they would go to make sure I was happy with the purchase.

I had zero experience and very little knowledge of electric bicycles when I walked through the doors at EEB. I have a disabled child and am always excited to see adaptations that could benefit those with physical limitations. They allow you to try out as many bikes as you like in order to assure the right fit for you and your riding needs. They take the time to ask you questions to help find the right bike for you. I figured Id have to leave it, but the technician got to it that day (despite being super busy) and I was able to take my bike home with me. What a wonderful bike shop that harkens back to a time when relationships matter more than a quick sale! Marie spend multiple visits with me to help educate me on options and ensure that the bike Id ultimately select truly aligned with my needs and interests. If all stores were like this, the internet stores would be in trouble!

John went way out of his way to educate us about various electric bikes and to accommodate us. John even opened his business to us on his day off! We studied long and hard before deciding on which bikes to test drive. Due to each bike shop carrying several brands, we tried 7 brands. We eventually decided on two different Magnum bikes. We test road bikes in Lynnwood, Everett, Seattle, and then had to drive to Eugene to try the Magnum, which was one of our must try choices. Being older riders, the Magnum Cruiser with its body weight displacement away from wrists and hands as well as other standard items, made the bike comparable to bikes that were a thousand dollars more, not to mention that it was actually the most comfortable bike that we rode despite it being more funky looking. We are enjoying our bikes, and we highly recommend the Magnum line of bikes and John, owner of Eugene Electric Bikes. Frank and Pat

I took the used bike I purchased to EEB after hearing through friends about their knowledgable staff and excellent service. I found this to be true. Michael did a thorough tune up ensuring me my bike was safe and road ready. I was also able to purchase the tools i would need to manage minor repairs and Michael provided excellent instruction on basic bike maintenance. I even had the chance to look around at their large e-bike selection and cannot wait to go back to test drive one.

Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Taking a couple bikes out for a test ride helped confirm my purchase choice. Look for me on Youtube soon for a full video review of the bike I purchased.

I bought an E motion Neo Racer online from New York, had it shipped all the way across the country. 6 months later the battery management system in the battery just quit. We were told by Propel of NY to go to Eugene Electric Bikes and see if they could check it out. We did, but I was thinking, Why should they care? They have nothing from this sell from New York City!? Not only did they check it out right there in front of me, they told me that the battery management system stopped working. Marie said shed take care of it for me. I was never sent a sales receipt for what ever reason from the NY bike shop when I bought it as a demo model. She told me the steps to take to get that taken care of and then once the reciept was emailed to her, she sent the battery in. Battery still under warranty, and she took care of it instead of the NY shop! Who does thise kind of service these days? Eugene Electric Bikes did. Not only that, when my brother and I visited them their prices and selection are unbeatable. Ill NEVER go anywhere except Eugene Electric Bikes. They ARE the best Ive ever dealt with.

I just bought my first e-bike from EEB after doing research on line and in stores in Eugene and Portland. Ultimately I wanted to buy an e-bike from a store where I live so I have a reliable place to go for maintenance and that specializes in e-bikes since they are a different beast in terms of maintenance than a regular bicycle. EEB only does e-bikes and they provide maintenance here in Eugene so that was perfect. The staff are knowledgable and let me try out over 8 different bikes over the course of three months as I slowly learned more about my options. It was really sweet that they allowed me to rent out different bikes overnight. One bike I almost bought, but after doing my commute three times with it I realized it was too slow for my needs. It really takes 2 or 3 hours on a bike to see if it really is a good fit for my commute. My commute to grad school is 9 miles which takes me about 55 minutes on a regular bike. I bought the Magnum Metro from EEB which goes 28 mph and has reduced my commute to 35 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time to make me feel awake and refreshed by the time I get to school. The bike is soo fast that my commute feels more like a fast paced video game race. I notice that I use the motor assist more in the morning when I’m groggy at 7am and on my way home at 8pm I’m using less motor assist and really getting my rage on biking as fast as I can. It’s SO satisfying going faster than I could ever bike by myself.I also just want to add that it was great to go to a bike shop that was very no nonsense. They’re not spending money on fancy displays or doing wild things with their floor plan. They focus on having people available to spend time helping you learn about e-bikes. As a lady it was also the only e-bike shop I found with women always on staff, which was really nice since some of my concerns about having a long bike commute were about whether I would be safe riding around Eugene at night. It was good to hear their staff talk about their experiences.

Im a new owner and so far so good. im spoiling my bike so ive been riding my manual bike because of rain and dont want my new investment to get dirty. EEB have been great. im gonna help help up sell for them

I just bought an izip zuma at eugene electric bikes and am very happy that i did so. i almost never write reviews of this sort but the people at eeb were terrific--knowledgable, attentive, and accommodating. i test rode three bikes over the course of an hour or more and they answered all of my many questions thoughtfully and patiently. When i made my selection they cut me a great deal (better than any i found online, though i would have happily paid more for their excellent service), inspected and tuned up the bike and added a few accessories, and delivered it to my house an hour or two later. love the bike (which eats up the long, steep hill i live atop) and would highly recommend eeb to anyone interested in an e-bike. buy local.
