Hidden treasure! Muffalotta Monday special is delicious! Meat little grocery that had just about anything you would need.

I completely adore this place! 3 reasons 1.) The prepared food is incredible tasty! I literally get excited knowing it is for dinner. 2.) Incredible prices. What they sell in the $10-$15 range can feed me for 4-6 meals. 3.) The people are friendly, helpful and accessible. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

I love Cannatellas. Service is always friendly, and food is excellent. My family is from Melville and Opelousas, so Im very happy to see them in Baton Rouge.

We got a gift card here for Christmas. It has turned out to be the perfect gift! We have loved their frozen section. The meatballs and red gravy were easy to reheat, affordable, and absolutely delicious!!! You have to give this place a try.

A jewel of a place in Mid-City! The frozen food section is a treasure trove of goodies. I had a port tenderloin steak from there and it was most tender! Great selection and Mrs. Pam makes a good pressed roast beef po-boy! I highly recommend.......

Loved this store, everyone was very friendly. I purchased some meatballs in red sauce to heat up and eat at home. The best meatballs and red sauce I have ever eaten. I will be back to try some of their other dinners and of course to buy more meatballs.

Absolutely awesome, excellent, and superb!! We detoured to Baton Rouge on our way home from a two-week road trip specifically to check out their new store and the trek was well worth it! The muffuletta was absolutely delicious and so was the meatball po-boy (my husband got a po-boy and I ordered the 1/2 muffuletta and we shared—more than enough for the two of us). We then purchased frozen andouille, meatballs in sauce, and meatloaf in sauce, along with their Italian olive mix, and Grant’s seasoning. Everything is homemade/cooked by Grant, the owner, and is absolutely delicious! His wife (who makes the trek every morning with fresh dishes from the original 4th generation Melville store) is in charge of the lunch counter and an old/time friend is at the front cash register. Both are friendly, helpful, delightful to visit with, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they are doing and interacting with customers. Cannatella’s Meat Market is a Baton Rouge treasure!!

What an amazing place! The store has a really neat feeling and great vibe. This is such a great addition to Mid-City. We go there 2 to 3 times a week and have tried many of their prepared foods. I hear that the owner Grant Cannatella is a fourth generation proprietor and many of the recipes were passed down from his ancestors from Sicily. The meatballs and red gravy are the real deal and the lasagna is amazing! If you like Boudin – it is the best! (A tip that Mr. Grant showed me when he was there is the best way to cut Boudin is with a pair of scissors! It is so easy and it does not squeeze all the stuffing out)Speaking of Mr. Grant, he developed his own seasoning and of course it is called Mr. Grants - he absolutely puts Tony Chachere to shame! The flavor profile is dead on and it is not overly salty. It is now my go to seasoning for burgers, fries, etc. I recently cooked a jambalaya and his seasoning and homemade smoked pork sausage took it to the next level! He even provided me with pointers to improve my jambalaya! Mr. Grant is one fine fella and one great chef!We are looking forward to our next visit to Cannatella Grocery! AndCAN-I-TELL-YA thats some good groceries!
