Their produce section is beautiful! They have so many specialty items which makes it fun to shop!The only thing that can be improved was their checkout.... Their bagger and clerk carried on a conversation with each other the entire time I was there, never acknowledged my presence whatsoever. When I was handed my receipt neither one said thank you, good night, etc. But as I turned to walk out they both shouted good night to a co-worker who was leaving out the same door I was exiting. Hopefully someday they will see that it is the customer who signs their paycheck in oh so many ways. Other than that I think the store is great!

Favorite place to shop every year when my husband and I are on vacation. Its the must go to between the meat counter, bakery, flowers, cheeses and more! They have cool unique things and a really good variety of bread from local bakeries and their own. Staff is always super friendly and helpful! We always load up on stuff too on the last day to take home!!

De Luxe is one of those old-school high-end family-run supermarkets. Excellent meat, fish and produce. Good wines (and there’s an excellent liquor store next door, too).

A bit overpriced and my checkout girl was complaining about working. That people kept coming into her line. Sure she didnt mean for me to hear her. Didnt care for that much. The hot food bar was good tho.

Visiting SC from Sacramento area and my friend took me to Deluxe. The store isnt huge, but its got a wonderful mix of standard and more uncommon items for sale. There produce looked amazing as well as their fresh meat department. So many kabobs to choose from!Ive been looking for a delicious potato salad for those times that I dont want to go through the trouble of making it myself. Ive tried at least nine locally with no luck. We were at Deluxe just before closing so I only found two small containers, and without being able to try it, I took the plunge (my friend said just do and got them both.Im so glad I did!!! Its DELICIOUS!!!! Totally what I was looking for! With the exception of it being 3 hours away lololol.I can wait to go back and try more things :)

Nice little market with good service.

Deluxe has been around longer than I have, which is over 30 years easy. In that time its always been good, and changed for the better.On average prices are higher, but products are also higher quality and often local.Notable: the butcher department is excellent, their premarinaded cuts are top notch. I cook a lot and I trust them. Good wine selection. Good breads. The deli has always been a great sandwich. Also they have vegetated, so, bonus points!

I have enjoyed buying specialty food items at Deluxe foods of Aptos for the past 23 years. Is this review I want to talk about my excellent experience with the bakery department. During the pandemic getting a good birthday cake has been difficult. So I decided to give Deluxe Foods a try. I asked for a rich, moist, dense triple-layer chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream inside and out. The result (see pic) looks very good and was delicious. The price was very reasonable. I also ordered some muffins. They make real muffins: not overly sweet nor cakey. As an ex-New Yorker, I was in heaven eating one of their corn muffins.

Literally thieves. $25 a pound for ribeye and even the chips I buy at other stores for $2-2.50 are $4.99 here. Spices are $8 dollars here.

Went there looking for a particular cut of meat. The guy at the counter said we dont have that, but I can make you one then he went into the back, came out with a side of beef and proceeded to carve it up right before our eyes. All the while telling the story of how this cut of meat came to be... something about the British defeating the French, I dunno, I was kinda just enthralled by the whole thing. 5 stars

Great place. Small but has almost anything you need and want. Bakery and coffee stand smell tempting on the early morning.

Like the difference in service has a family owned feel unless you come in at night with the more mature lady with blonde hair. Yea...she is not feeling it at closing time even before the bell lol!

Delux Foods in Aptos is a Fantastic grocery store. Also owner Marc Monte has been instrumental in helping local schools, sports and community folks.

It is easily going to be my go to grocery. Outstanding selection and quality in meats, cheeses, deli, produce. Even has Peets coffee. Extraordinarily friendly staff. Kudos to Mario.

We have been customers of Deluxe Foods of Aptos for more than 30 years. There are employees at Deluxe who have known my daughter since she was a newborn. We do the overwhelming majority of our grocery shopping there. The store is our No. 1 preferred source for organic fruits & vegetables, meats & poultry, cheese & baked goods and wine & hot food. Deluxe is a longtime seller of Clover dairy goods, which we find to be top-notch.Reasons we love Deluxe: the store is not afraid to offer new or requested products. Consequently, Deluxe has introduced us to many wonderful food items over the years which we now consider to be must have.The stores meat department is the best in the county and we feel privileged to get our chicken, beef, pork and seafood there. We recently tried out a home-delivery meal service and the meats and poultry were so ghastly we couldnt wait to get back to the butchers at Deluxe.The cheese section at Deluxe is mind-blowingly complete and bulging with the hard Italian parmesan cheeses my family craves. Deluxe is also a conduit for the Bagelry and all its charms.I scoffed when the store started to sell hot food, but with kids out of the nest and changing demands on our time, Deluxes hot food section has turned into valuable asset to us. The folks who work the food alley deserve to be commended for their hard work and constant improvement. We miss them and look forward to their post-Covid return.Deluxe Foods has been there for me and my family for more than three decades. We have never felt like we werent getting the absolute best the store could offer us. This includes staying open and available during holidays and disasters large, small and customer-inflicted.For almost a year, Deluxe has allowed us to maintain our quality of life in the middle of the worst pandemic in our countrys history. The store and its employees did this for us while they themselves were also suffering vast personal and professional hardship and uncertainty. For this they have our undying love and respect. Great quality.

This is a nice little, high end grocery store just off the freeway in Rio Del Mar. They have a great hot table buffet with breakfast items in the morning and numerous different entrees and side dishes in the afternoon and evening. Truly great sandwiches at the deli. An excellent selection of gourmet cheeses along with a great beer and wine choices. The only drawbacks are they are small and rather expensive.

Its been awhile since I have been to this store and it still looks the same which is good for the locals in the area. Great customer service here, I was a little bummed when I found out they no longer sell yogurt cheese, Im not sure if its seasonal or something they stopped selling in general. Definitely will be coming back in the future

Very interesting and wide selection of hot food in the deli, a Peets Coffee in-store, and even a selection of live succulents and cacti out front. All of that, attached to a very well-stocked grocery store. I was pretty impressed, and will likely stop through anytime Im passing through the area. The deli alone makes it worthwhile.

Its a very good, upscale, local market. It is small but fairly well stocked for a market this size. Seafood selection is small but usually excellent and its my go to seafood place now. Wine selection is also quite good as is their cheese collection. Prices are higher than local big chains, but its pretty good stuff. They always have plenty of checkers working so waiting in line is rare.

Amazing selection for being a smaller store. Always friendly, and always much easier and nicer than the other grocery store options locally. Only downside is it’s a bit pricier, more high end products and that’s often not in my budget.

Ive been shopping here since 1987. Meats and fish are much better than Safeway though prices can be higher though not always. Most other brand name groceries are less expensive than Safeway. There are no store brands that chain markets have. And seniors get 10% first Tuesday of the month. If youre familiar with Shoppers Corner - then Deluxe is very similar.

Selection for artisan goods is really great, but the prices are a bit high. Better to switch it up between there and Safeway if you can get stuff for cheaper at Safeway I would say head there which most of the time you can but for the special order the unique stuff you want to buy go to deluxe foods cuz they have that kind of stuff

Top of the line produce, superlative meat, compulsively fresh seafood, comprehensive deli, broad international foods, sharp wine and beer selection, and super friendly staff. Competitive prices. My wifes favorite store, which is a high praise.

This is a wonderful grocery store. Produce and meats are top quality. The deli section is great, with good to-go items for dinner. But Ive got to knock off one star due to high prices.

I went looking for Campbells Split Pea or Green Pea and they had neither. I tried to mention it at checkout and the girl either didnt hear me or just ignored my comment.

I great local grocery store. More pricey then the big chain grocers but has a great beer selection high quality deli and meat department. Parking is way better then aptos in Safeway. Staff is always nice and helpful and lines generally short.

Those of us who live in mid- and south-county are so fortunate to have Deluxe Foods at our disposal.Finest quality meats, fish, and produce, a well curated selection of dairy, dry goods and local products such as Mariannes ice cream.Clean, well lit facility and cheerful, helpful staff.You may pay a few cents more for some items than you would at a chain supermarket, but the difference in quality makes it a bargain.

This is a wonderful market, though small. Produce is excellent, meat/fish counter is top-notch, and they have a wonderful gourmet cheese selection. There are always plenty of checkers and you can get out fast. Only bad news is that is is more expensive than say Nob Hill or Safeway but you get what you pay for.

They almost always have the products I want. May cost a little more for some things but its worth it to find what I need at one stop. They also carry Harris Ranch beef which is a product well-known and beloved by those of us who are Central Valley transplants!

This is a genuine local market, with long-term employees. The produce is fresh and locally grown for the most part. It is within short driving distance of some of the most ideal fruits, vegetables, fishing and ranching territory of the U.S. Or grab some of the local wines and a sandwich, then head for the beach about a mile away.

We love this place as a munchies and sandwich shop. They always have wonderful produce. We would recommend this place as a mini-mart with healthy options.

Great deli. Best fresh meat section I have ever seen. Produce beautiful. Soup and salad bar high quality. Eat outside at a table or take it to go. This is a beach picknik that everyone will envy. Premade sandwiches or have one custom made.

I have only been one time. The person who helped us try to find what we were looking for was very polite. But the checker we got was rude and dismissive. I was upset enough to not want to go back. Prices were okay. Selection was decent.

This is a nice family owned grocery store just off Highway 1 on Rio Del Mar Avenue. Prices are higher than Nob Hill / Safeway; the younger staff are friendly and courteous. Parking is a headache.

Heaven! We love shopping at Deluxe - wonderful produce with staff who really know the inventory. Wine Dept is top notch/ Great Butcher Shop - and the seafood selection is impressive. Best Chips, Salsa and Guac ever. Tres Gourmet - Sublime Sushi...Peets Coffee shop ...Bring Money.

Good wine selection! I also love the plants outside for sale - lots of succulents and some flowering things that are often good buys. They also have a Peets coffee bar, fair amount of organic produce and lots of gourmet-type items.

I give it 4 stars because it has an old-style butcher counter with good quality Meats and the produce is also very good with good variety. The bakery deli section is good too.Otherwise its overpriced for normal groceries.
