I’m very happy with the repair job from this body shop. They were very thorough with the price estimate and timeline of repairs. They even finished the job one week sooner than expected. I really liked and appreciated how they kept me up to date during the entire process of what was being done to the vehicle and what to expect next. I would highly recommend them for any collision repairs.

On time with quality work. Willing to fix non-accident related damage at a discounted rate while the vehicle was in the shop. The vehicle was nicely cleaned inside and out as an added bonus. My visit was coordinated through an insurance claim and that process was flawless. Able coordinated the rental car and all I had to do was trade keys with the service rep on drop-off. Awesome!

I gotta tell you, I am SO impressed with the service I received from Able Body Shop. I just picked up my truck and as far as I can tell, it was repaired superbly. It looks like the techs did an excellent job. What blows me away is the customer service I received from the front office ladies. Able Body Shop did an excellent job on the repair of my F-150. The paint work is immaculate. they also finished the job four days earlier than expected. They also cleaned my vehicle before returning it, which was a tremendous effort thanks to my German Shepherd. I sincerely appreciate their professionalism and would recommend them to anyone.

They repaired my busted tail light in just a few hours, and even washed my car! It looks brand new. Prior to the appointment, I was able to send them photos of my damage through an app that was very easy to use. This allowed the staff to know which part they needed to order and create an accurate quote for me. Overall very smooth process.Additionally, their office is always clean and well-kempt (not like most auto repair shops where everything looks dirty), and the staff is attentive and well-trained.I would recommend this place to anyone in need of auto repair services!

Excellent service from quick estimate to repair. I was impressed with how quickly they performed the repair and got my car back to me. The communication was also good. While I hope I dont have a lot of need for more body work, Id be happy to come back to Able Body shop in the future.

They got the work done in a timely manner but forgot to tell me my car would be done in 1.5 days not 8 days. Their communication is lacking. They have a lot to learn for team work. No i in team is something they need to learn. But, if you dont care when your vehicle will be done, they work quickly!

The work was good, actually better then good, but when you say the work is done and finished. The work better be DONE and FINISHED. I had to go back twice cause the vehicle wasnt completely DONE. They forgot to put back some trim, the tail gate wouldnt open and the tail light they replaced wasnt clean it still had the factory tape residue on it that made it look all scratched up and the reverse light on the light they replaced didnt work. A double check from a quality control person should of happened before calling the customer and telling them all the work is DONE. Waisted time and money.

I took the truck in for warranty repair 7 years after the original work had been done. I have to say I was skeptical they would repair on a lifetime warranty but Shane took a look at it and they got the truck right in and fixed it. Not only did they repair that work but they found something else I didnt even know about and addressed that!When Able says they have a lifetime warranty on their work they mean it. I have never had another business honor their lifetime warranty until Able did. Highly recommend this shop for any body work needs.

On my GMC Acadia, I had front bumper, tie rod, alignment, body repair and paint match paint job done by Able Body. My drivers door was not opening and was rubbing on the fender and chipping the paint as well. They are very professional and did an excellent job. I have also had body damage and paint match done on my 2003 Ram truck that has a strange color to match. It is gray with a gold metallic in the clear coat. They matched it perfect. **Excellent Work!

I’m actually very happy with the customer service here! Normally I would just talk about the product, but let me speak about professionalism and customer sincerity this place had for me. At first I was upset because my car wasn’t coming back to me on the original return date and got pushed back at least 2-3 times. But when I took a step back and realized that the company cannot control how fast or long parts can take to get there, I then realized that they still took the time to update me weekly, if not several times within a week. I finally purchased the car of my dreams when I moved up here to Alaska, a Subaru Outback. One day while I was at work it was hit and run with a few other cars. A huge bummer as this was my first new car and at only 3000 miles it had massive damage. A wheel was sticking off the back at a 30 degree angle and both rear quarter panels were pushed in. I thought it would be a total loss. But the fine folks at Able made my car look brand new again. Two new rear quarter panels and rear bumper as well as lots of paint. The blend between factory and new paint is indistinguishable (seriously I can’t tell where the new vs factory paint is). And from what I can tell no bondo in their either. This is the best body shop I have ever used. If you have a Subaru and want it repaired right this is the place to go.

I am not a consumer that ever posts frivolous or misdirected inflammatory reviews about a company or their product. This review simply reveals to you the exact nature of tribulations I experienced in taking my t-boned vehicle to Able Body Shop on Dowling Road.An individual from the shop insisted that because I had aftermarket hardware installed on my vehicle, that was the cause of the mechanical failure, not the car accident. The cause for the mechanical failure was indeed not due to the accident, but the specialty shop confirmed that the vehicle had OEM parts installed on the vehicle. The OEM parts did fail. It is very frustrating and confusing to have someone tell you information when they have no idea what theyre talking about. To tell a degree holding electrician that something is wired incorrectly, although it has worked properly for quite some time, to deny to the insurance company any work looking into the matter (I got the technicians work notes afterthefact), and to NOT inspect the underside of a vehicle after a T-Bone vehicle crash is ridiculous. An extreme prejudice existed the entire time in which an individual at the shop discounted the quality of my vehicle merely because it is of a foreign manufacture. He also repeated to, indirectly, act if I was some ignorant child that didnt know anything about cars. I have worked on $300m airplanes, owned 6 cars, and I am currently working towards a PhD. It is sad when doubt and disrespect creep into the world of the service industry.Do not leave parts of MY vehicle that EASILY identifiable, on my dash. Wet sanding should be completed thoroughly, and perhaps you may need someone else to check over the painters and mechanics work after they complete a job because there were issues all over the place. I got into a car accident in December of 2018. It is now the middle of March.I am not sure who ordered the wrong bumper, but it is very frustrating when someone has the lack of attention due unto their job. I worked as a mechanic, and my bosses would hit the roof when someone ordered the wrong part.Wet sanding due. The undercarriage was not inspected, another shop found leaking oil, transmission fluid, a faulty air compressor, and a steering gear going bad.They said they would call me or send me text updates about when my bumper would come in, but they only sent 1 text early in the week. They FAILED to call me and tell me that my vehicle would not be ready before the weekend. I called them on Friday to see if it was ready, and they told me the bumper still had not come in after 2 weeks. It is ridiculous that you could not inform me of that sooner in the day, before a call was needed from me.I would never go to this shop again. I would never tell any of my friends to go here. I would advertise to NOT go to able body shop.

These guys are kind, caring, transparent, and most importantly they do great work. While I did have to return for a minor mechanical correction this in no way detracts from how well these guys work and treat their customers. My only other complaint is that the workers dont wear masks.

Great company to do business with. They have a great attitude and quality work.

We took our truck in for a minor dent and scratches from a accident. When they called us to pick our truck up there were still scratches down the side, they told us “I don’t know how we missed that”. So anyway they kept the truck for a few more day called us again saying it was done. We went in to pick up the truck did a walk around and guess what the scratches were still there. When they tried to start the truck it would not start. They admited to cold starting our truck “a diesel FYI” and moving to the front early in the morning it’s was also -3 degrees that morning. The coils are shot engine damage is still unknown as we had the vehicle towed to another shop. They refused to let us speak to a manager or owner and got very defensive and rude. They initially admitted they dint fix the scratches and that they cold started the truck which caused the damage, insurance said they were responsible for those damages at this point since it was there neglect not the accident that caused the current damage to the engine, since that conversation Able has retracted on causing the damage and we are waiting on a investigation to determine liability. Still Able still will not let us speak to a manager or owner.

The customer service from the shop was amazing. My vehicle was hit by a drunk driver and had extensive body damage. Able called regularly to update me on the progress of my vehicle and was very nice everytime I interacted with them. The work on my truck however was not good at all. Had to take my vehicle to a different shop to fix parts that able had “replaced” . Nice people at the shop but horrible mechanics.

This is the only shop that has gotten my car back to me on the date they informed me of. They are super friendly, Claire had amazing customer service, kept me informed of everything, and were even willing to go above and beyond to make sure my car made it to me when it was done.

I worked in an automotive service department for more than 10 years, so I have a little bit of insight on what a well run body shop and service department looks like, and these folks are top notch. Ive only been in Alaska for about a year and a 1/2 and its good to know that if I do need a body shop I found one of the best ones Ive been around. I hope I dont ever have to go back to have my car fixed, but if I do Im very happy the know that theyre there to give me a top notch experience and getting my vehicle fixed. This review is for their work on body shop! My car was accidentally backed into by a friend they quoted me 5k for the repairs and ended up being a little cheaper using USAA as insurance. They sent updates on the vehicle via text messages. They repaired it 3 days earlier than expected. The paint job is good and you can’t even tell it was hit. All staff was generally friendly. For the most part I spoke with KIM and she was awesome! The only thing is that they returned the car on E (which is no big deal) just make sure you car has plenty of gas before taking in. I think mine was rather on the empty side and with them turning it on and off for repairs that’s why it left me in E. Excellent work. Great customer service.

They were nice, friendly, and appear to be well organized. Frankly, nice to work with. However, the workmanship leaves a bit to be desired (poor masking line in one place) and they have dropped the ball horribly on some other issues, all regarding the wheel, so it may be a surprisingly inept wheel/tire subcontractor instead of Able Body Shop themselves, but dudes, loosing my wheel cover, not installing my TPS sensor, and not being able to find a readily available tire on the first try are just plain bad!.An update: Able Body ordered and has now installed the missing wheel cover and cleaned up the trim (It took about 20 seconds). Obviously, they take their customer satisfaction seriously. Thank you. I still have to get the TPS sensor installed by the Mazda dealer. Well see how that goes in three weeks when I get in for their earliest available appointment.

I contacted Able Body Shop three weeks ago and requested for one of their estimators to take a look at my car. Ms. Hernandez was able to fit me in that afternoon, whereas I thought Id have to wait at least a week. I explained that the woman who hit my car agreed to pay for the repairs out of pocket, instead of processing it through her insurance company. Ms. Hernandez listened with intent and answered all of my questions. When I arrived to the shop, I was greeted immediately with a smile. I was in and out of the shop within about a half hour. Although the woman who hit my car has failed to fulfill her financial obligation, Ms. Hernandez has kept me in the loop, anytime she received contact from the offending person. Above and beyond that, she also remembers who I am when I call or email and all of the crazy details of my situation.As consumers, we all know it is extremely rare to find service like this. It has been a long time since Ive seen the levels of professionalism, courtesy, and competence that Ms. Hernandez displays in her normal, every day routine. She does this while treating her clients like they are better than family; and clearly, she has exceeded every expectation I had about getting my car repaired.Ms. Hernandez deserves the highest of accolades! Five gold stars all the way!

The team was very professional and service oriented. My truck looked good as new. I had a minor issue with bumper alignment when I picked it up and the manager scheduled me in the next morning and fixed it promptly.Based on the volume of vehicles they repair the customer service team is very busy. Able Body Shop did a great job on my Ford Escape. I wish it could have been a little faster, because I had to pay extra for the rental car. I wont schedule it over a weekend again. I was impressed that the front dash and front floors had been cleaned and vacuumed.

Someone hit my truck and their insurance 100% covered paying for the damages. Able body shop was quick, friendly, and very easy to work with. I had a pleasant experience taking my truck to get fixed there, I appreciated the suggestions they had for rental car companies and the swift communication on updates. Hertz was able to pick me up from their location to take me to my rental car and I was able to leave the rental car keys with Ables when my truck was completed. They also worked great with my insurance claim changes and I would highly recommend them!

Able Body Shop was a preferred body shop by my insurance. This shop has poor communication and service was not what I expected. Greg, appraised the damages on my vehicle and said it was a 4 day fix but ended up being a 6 weeks fix on my vehicle. Also, mentioned Able Body Shop is a high quality shop of Anchorage with certified tech and great customer satisfaction rate. Also, the project manager was comparing my 2019 Toyota Tundra with an older 2017 Toyota Tundra due to similar accidents. My right bumper was not fixed properly and overall I would not go to this shop ever again. Tried to address my concerns with the project manager but did not want to fix the bumper correctly. So left the shop not satisfied..

I went in to get the estimate done, and was informed at this time I would hear back from the front deck people to set up a day to bring in my truck. I was told it would be a one day turn and burn unless they found further damage. The only thing that needed to be replaced was the front bumper. They called and set up a date to bring in the truck, and I dropped it off that morning. They said they would let me know when it was done. Checked with them mid afternoon and they were just starting to look at it. Once they got the bumper off they realized they needed to order more parts for it. I complained to the front desk lady, and she said they were really busy and that is why they didnt get to my truck sooner. I asked her why they had me bring it in if they didnt have the time to look at it. They have the truck for a total of 3 days, and when I got it back they didnt adjust and tighten the fog light down so it was hanging loose in the hole. I had to bring the truck back in again to get that fixed, which took them all day. The communication was terrible throughout the entire process. I use my truck for work, and I didnt line up a loaner since I was told it would be a one day turn and burn. If I would have known how long it would take I would have gotten one. I will never bring another vehicle to them ever again.

Small issue with RF fender on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Able Auto Body handled it at no charge as part of an earlier accident repair. Took care of it in one day-important since we are a one car family. And, my car was sparkling clean and smelled like new again. Very pleased with service and attention to detail.

After backing into a parking lot concrete barrier, I went straight to Able Body and called my insurance company while sitting in the parking lot. Able began a claim, ordered parts and set up a repair date, all within an hour after my accident. I was heading out of state and Able Body arranged to pick up and drop off my car after the repairs. I’m not experienced with needing a body shop so not sure if two months to repair my car was standard. And a couple of the replacement body parts had been pre-painted from the factory and didn’t quite match the rest of the car. Took my vehicle in & was given an estimate, I asked about the brush guard being replaced & was told it didn’t need to be. Well I know once metal has been bent it has been compromised therefore it won’t be as strong! I was told the repairs would be 2 weeks then I get a text that it will be 3 weeks since they have to replace the brush guard & of course the price is higher. I go to get my vehicle & I have a cracked windshield that I never had any cracks in it before. I did have a couple chips, so I get the manager Kalic & he said come back tomorrow so I did & I see Brandon. I pointed to Brandon the windshield & the bumper that wasn’t repaired correctly. Also showed him that my back seat was dirty, I don’t have children at home & no pets my vehicle was clean had 3/4 tank of gas, picked it up I had 1/4 tank of gas & 60 EXTRA miles put on it! I was told they would replace my windshield & repair the bumper that wasn’t repaired right on their dime but come to find out they lied, & Able put a claim in with my insurance company for the bumper denied paying for my windshield!! Very poor customer service!! I will say Shawnee at the front desk is very pleasant, & I wouldn’t mind offering her a job!!
