I choose Stepp Brothers for my repairs initially because of the Google Reviews. The Appraisal process was great, the front desk and parts folks were always professional. However, I believe they run so much volume that the quality of work suffers. My repair was marginal and had a lot dimples in the paint. Shortly after the repair I took my vehicle to a detail shop and the gentlemen (who use to work at a body shop) pointed out all the problems with the repairs that my untrained eye didnt initially notice.I brought my vehicle back to the shop within a few days of the repair to show them and they said it was the best they could do. If you looking a body shop where D or C work is the best they can do, this is it.Thanks for trying out for varsity Stepp Brothers.

Took my truck in for a damage that requires extreme detail and patience. They were able to get me in quickly and accommodated to my needs of how quickly I needed it done. Everything turned out perfect and even fixed some stuff that wasn’t included in the service. They even detailed the inside of my car. Great service with everything done in a timely manner.

Had my car in for pretty major front end repairs. After 5 weeks I got my car back. At 20’ it looks fine. Up close not so much.The hood isn’t lined up properly. There was white wax residue all over the place (It’s a black car). The alignment was still off after the repairs. When I took it back to fix that issue, I was accused to hitting every pot hole in town, by the shop manager. They returned it to me with the alignment even worse, actually unsafe to drive. It spent 2 more weeks at the dealer.Definitely would recommend looking elsewhere for body work.Then the manager calls me harassing me about my post. Still would recommend almost any other shop over this one.

Exceptional customer service from every employee - receptionist all the way up to manager. They communicated throughout every step of the repair process clearly and quickly. They were courteous and professional in everything. They assisted me with contacting the rental car company and insurance company. The body work done on my 2016 Subaru Outback (rear damage about $2400) is also absolutely exceptional. On top of beautiful repair work, they detailed my car inside and out when done. She looked brand new when I pocked her up.I am incredibly pleased with this shop and highly recommend Stepp Brothers!

I do not do this often; in fact, this is the first time that I have done a negative review, but I had to warn other customers like me about this business. I had a horrible experience with these people. I went to their place to talk about painting my SUV, and the person looking at the vehicle was rude and did not let me finish explaining what the scope of work was about. The individual that I was talking to never made eye contact with me. It was like he was uncomfortable with my presence. Rudely, he interrupted me and said that he is not interested without allowing me to finish my statement and walking away from me like if I did something wrong. I just wanted to paint my SUV black in the roof and white (the existing color) in the rest of the vehicle. I guess that he was under the impression that I could not afford to pay for the job because of how I look. DO NOT GO HERE! These people are going to make you feel awful if you are a minority.

I was very pleased with the body work that the Stepp Brother staff completed on my vehicle. The estimated time frame for repairs was spot on, so no inconvenience there. The reason for my mark down was the ridiculously amount of dust left in the car and all of the compartments; and th minor scratch left on my touch screen🙄. I am assuming it was due to parts and tools being in those spaces during repair. Nonetheless, it was a horrible drive due to that mixed with allergies. The outside of the car was nice and clean 😜 The staff was very friendly and patient. The repairs were exceptionally done. I took a chance on this recommendation as Ive always used Fix It Auto in a different state, so was skeptical about Stepp Brothers. I have no regrets and would confidently recommend them. Oh and they provide a LIFETIME warranty for their work. A plus!!

Commendable work, and attention to detail during a very stressful time for me having been in a car accident. Ahltore is the manager and knows his stuff. The entire staff was super with me on the phone. This place comes recommended by State Farm, and for good reason. Wow! This shop absolutely blew my mind. Not only was the quality of their work second to none, their customer service exceeded anything I would expect. Thorough beyond compare and my vehicle came back looking brand new. In terms of customer service they went far beyond their responsibility. They facilitated coordinating many things far beyond their scope. I never had to contact them because they contacted me and this was very short staffed. They finished my vehicle early again despite being short staffed. In good conscience I could never let a family, friend or acquaintance take their car anywhere else. Thank you so much!

Poor service took my truck in for repair and the passenger side door was working perfectly got my truck back the door can’t even open all the way, keep on getting stuck!! I took my truck back to them to see what’s wrong with it they said they don’t know what’s wrong with it and they can’t do anything about it smh!and I pay almost three thousand dollars for the repairThis place sucks!!!

I’m new to the Anchorage area and had to get some extensive paint work on my truck due to rocks chipping the paint. Not only did they accommodate me without an appointment they also worked directly with my insurance company for additional payment for underestimated man hours. On top of that I own a vehicle that has stock decals all over in which they were honest and said they did not have the experience to complete the work. That said they contacted the company that could and scheduled the work through them to finish the work they have very friendly staff.... they are honest... and they provide great service.... my truck looks brand new!!!

Great experience at Stepp Brothers. The insurance company claims adjustor made his estimate, then I took it to Stepp to get the work done. They estimated that the work would cost less than what the insurance company thought... and they were right! They actually fixed my car under budget, allowing me to pocket the difference. Couldnt be happier with the service I got there.

Came here to get my bumper worked on. It was a simple cut and they did it free of charge because it was such a simple thing. Very nice, honest people, great service.

The only thing that matters to this business is their bottom line . Work is fair not superior to any other body shop as I have had substatial work don at this shop if you want outstanding service and exellent work your not going to find in in any body shop in Anchorage. mediocrity is the best you will get.

My 14 charger got into a wreck Feb 14th.. what turned out to be a few weeks job turned into a 2+ month job. Only due to parts on back order. Got the car back today and couldnt be more happy. They did a very great job and thankful for such great work. Thank you

Dropped my car off for repairs, took longer than estimated (they said they were backed up and fallen behind). The manager (one of them) his customer skills are awesome, wish the same for tbe staff (not even a smile). Got the car back, but they decided to run my car into something to cause a dent in my front bumper. They took the fault and repaired it for free. 4 stars for the work, and the manager service, 2 stars for the time wasted.

Got in a small accident and we usaa as our insurance. We opted for the choose the repair shop usaa approves and out of the 14 on the list for anchorage stepp brothers was the only one with a good review I could find. Took our truck there and with in 30 minutes we had an estimate drafted and time frame determined. Stress free environment and very friendly service. Unfortunately the time frame ended up being 2 weeks instead of the 5 days estimated, however, they phoned us to tell us the reason and it was for a part that came in broken. Our truck look great after the fix up. I damaged the mirror and door making our window not roll up. They repainted and cleaned up well. My husband notice they left grease on the seats and mats and mentioned it to them and they immediately apologized and instructed us to come back and they quickly cleaned it up. I was impressed with their customer service and we will be going back if more services are needed.
