My husband and I were in the market for a new washer and dryer. We searched all the big-box stores, but none had what we were looking for readily available and their estimated delivery dates were longer than we were willing to wait. I came across Spichers via a Google search and they were amazing. The representative, Heidi, was extremely helpful and the prices were just as competitive as the big-box stores. We purchased a GE Refrigerator from Ricky Holsinger. Extremely pleasant experience when we were desperate as our refrigerator died. He was informative and allowed us to make an informed decision. We had a small problem but the store management called right away to let us know they were working on it. Delivery personnel were respectful and courteous. Best experience ever!

Purchased a washer and dryer. The sales person was knowledgeable about the product, but I didn’t feel the experience was very positive. He took a long time staring at a computer screen versus speaking with us directly. Delivery day he tried to persuade us to accept a damaged dryer. The dent was pretty large. For over $1000 a piece we expect a new condition product. I tried to shop local, but honestly have had better experiences at Home Depot

We tried Lowes and Home Depot, but they told us to come back in 4 months due to Covid they didnt have the size we needed. Spichers had exactly what we needed and even had a few choices. We were in and out of the store faster than Ive ever experienced buy large appliances. We purchased on Saturday and everythingwas delivered Tuesday, also faster than I expected. We purchased a fridge, above range microwave, and dishwasher. Very pleased and we will continue to shop at Spichers.

Installation team was great. Disappointed that sales person didnt advice that they wouldnt install portable dishwasher, even though I paid for additional maintenance coverage. Not sure how this will be honored since they didnt install. Have paperwork for future issues.

We ordered a 4-door fridge from Spicher’s, and because manufacturing issues due to COVID delayed delivery, we communicated frequently with our sales person, Ron. He was very accommodating, open, and honest. Spicher’s delivered it yesterday, and the delivery guys were great. So far we love the fridge, and we have peace of mind that we can call Spicher’s if we have issues because they service what they sell. So much better than dealing with a big box store!

Not thrilled with my salesperson. My appliance have been on order since June of 2020. Numerous month long delays because of manufacturers slow production. After 4 months of waiting the salesperson offered to send similar products, but a different manufacturer. I had no problem with the delays and agreed to another month each time he called to confirm a new delay. He had to add $65 for the new brand, and I agreed to the swap out. A month later the appliance showed up. First off he argued about the type of range I ordered and I had to prove him wrong with an invoice. He apologized for his error since I was right. He also told me I was free to cancel the order and good luck finding appliance anywhere else. He went on about getting nothing but complaints from buyers because of the long delays and he seemed a bit tired of hearing complaints. My new appliances showed up today and the refrigerator was not even close to what I ordered and the price was still the same. Much less quality and size. Very disappointed and I felt duped. The delivery guys were great. I really went out of my way to order from a small business and my satisfaction level is obvious in my score of 3 stars.

Incredibly poor customer service and installation. They did not check my dishwasher to make sure it worked following installation. (It didn’t.) I called twice and left messages to call me back first thing in the morning, but after being open nearly 2 hours they still haven’t reached out. The installation team *did not wear masks* during the most deadly pandemic in the past century because they didn’t have any. (I finally had to give them two of mine.) This is in addition to sending the installation team to the wrong address, having them pull up in an unmarked van, failing to confirm the delivery, charging my credit card two full months prior to delivery of the product, and failing to return calls. Their prices are not significantly less than you can get online or at Lowe’s or Home Depot – so customer service is what would distinguish them and they failed on almost every count. But darned if they weren’t wizards at charging my card!

After hearing folks rave about Spichers, we decided to pay them a visit. Our Samsung refrigerator was not quite 5 years old and had died 2x so we replaced it with a GE Cafe refrigerator from Spichers. The pricing was the same as the big box stores but included an amazing warranty. Due to Covid we had to remove our old refrigerator from the home and bring the new one in, but the delivery folks were awesome at explaining how to reassemble the doors once inside.We will definitely continue to support this business as the need arises.

Walked in to ask about a replacement part for my washing machine and walked past about 5 people (at desks so they worked there) & no one looked up much less said Hey, how can we help you? They guys that I asked questions did look up what I needed and gave me an estimate on the part but it would have to be ordered - nothing on hand. When I went to leave, the whole sales team was on the floor and I didnt get wave or anything. For all they knew, if my part didnt work, I could have needed to buy new. If I am not worth 5min of their time, even 30sec for a smile and a hi, then it isnt worth my time to go there ever. Hope this is a wake up call for friendlier service.I recently went back to buy a washing machine. A wonderful guy Ron was friendly totally heard my requests and set me up with what I needed right away and with an awesome deal! Even better delivery of new & take away of old was ONLY $15!!! Washing machine still works great.My current stance...ask for Ron to buy. Parts department is still out for jury....

After weeks of looking at products and reviews, we settled on a Kitchen-aid Refrigerator and GE Cafe products for the Double Wall Oven, Gas Cook Top, Dishwasher. We then started checking prices at the big box stores and online retailers to get the best deal. Our home builder told us about his experience with Spichers and recommended that we get in touch with Ricky Holsinger. To our surprise, Ricky quoted a package price that was more than competitive! After the appliances were delivered we decided that we should have gone with a counter depth refrigerator and reached out to Ricky to see what could be done. Ricky worked with us to find a GE Cafe product that would meet our needs and coordinated an exchange. We really feel like the company went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Great products, low price and exceptional service make Spichers a great choice.

We recently purchased a new dishwasher from Heidi Davis at Spichers Appliance in Winchester, VA. Such a warm experience vs. a Big Box, take a number, experience. This is a family run, local team and Heidi actually knows the product! What a concept! A far cry from an 18 year old at Lowes, huh? Price was competitive. Install and Delivery was as promised. Plenty of showroom appliances.

Purchased a GE refrigerator in March 2020 and in July, the freezer compartment is not working properly. Made this purchase because Spichers services what they sell. Didn’t know until today, that they only service MY area two days of the week. Today is Friday and they won’t service until next Tuesday. Ridiculous service and maintenance policy. Obvious they don’t provide service in a timely manner. Very disappointed. Will think twice about another purchase from Spichers.

We won’t be using them again. Called the service manager and explained problem with our washer, and he arranged for a service call. They came out, and never looked at the machine, never serviced anything, all they did was try to sell me a new machine, which I declined. We paid $119.95 for a service call, but no service whatsoever was done. A scam!

Clean, well laid out store and reasonably friendly employees. HOWEVER, they mark parts up a good bit. A dryer fuse that costs $7.49 on Amazon with free shipping, cost me $18 AND I had to drive 40 minutes round trip. If Mount Laundry wasnt getting so high, I would have waited the 2 days for Amazon. We were also going to buy a replacement motor for the dryer from them, but they wanted $113 plus tax, we got it online for $67 delivered.

I purchased and entire new kitchen from Speichers and would never buy another thing from them if they were the last appliance company on earth. They converted our gas range to LP wrong - TWICE. The first oven actually caught fire and GE replaced it thru Spiechers. The second oven did not function correctly. Would not hold temperature and burners were not working right. Although they claim to do their own service, they were not able to figure out what was wrong with either oven. And after 14Service calls - yes 14 - GE figured out the issue andConverted the second unit correctly. Their service manager is rude and has no interest in working with you to resolve your concerns. Stay away. Go anywhere else!!!UPDATE: Service call 15 is not scheduled. The oven is completely dead. Nothing is working. Worst purchase - worst company ever

We purchased all our kitchen as well as washer/dryer appliances from Spichers in 2003 and just replaced everything this year. Spichers also offers free repair service on appliances purchased here for up to 1 year for most appliances as well as offer extended warranties for very reasonable prices. Ricky was highly recommended to us in our search for a washer and dryer. We became familiar with popular appliances available at Lowes, Home Depot etc but wanted the comfort and service quality of a smaller retailer. He freely shared his, coworkers and customers experiences of various styles in which we were interested. He took us to his computer to share YouTube videos of the appliances in action to familiarize us with timing, sound, etc of the equipment. Spichers was able to price match which was the ultimate deciding factor. Delivery was within the designated timeframe... barely.. showing up only 10 minutes prior to the later time. The two delivery guys flawlessly unloaded and brought in the washer and dryer, then installed, tested, and gave a very brief how-to. Love Spichers selection of all appliances! Great team! Hope I dont need to call them but if I do I expect to receive top service.

Ron, the salesman, was knowledgable and kept me up to date on my order. Kevin was an excellent installer. He clearly advised me on the steps necessary for the complicated installation (downdraft vent - old had motor outside the house, new had it under the cabinet) and the required cutting of the granite countertop due to the increased dimensions of the new cooktop. I will be ordering my updated wall over and microwave from them. Thats my best possible recommendation.

We went here to replace our washer when it died. We do a lot of business and home laundry, so we expected to pay more for a washer that would respectively handle our needs.Less than a year, it was failing. They have had to take it back for the third time. Even after a rude snide comment about it working in the store the service guy came out, guess what it didn’t work for him.The store manager accused it of being our home. It worked for months, the loaners work, we have zero problems with anything else.We are 2 months now into this. They won’t replace it because NOW it is over a year old. We ridiculously overpaid hoping it was worth it to do what we needed.We love to support small business, but this is pathetic. They apparently cannot fix the things they sell and will cop an attitude if you expect it to work. (Who expects something they paid for to work or a warranty to actually fix it? Who knew!)We are not out scamming. We all work really hard also, we don’t need a handout, however I expect to get what I paid for.While I realize machines are not infallible, that’s where customer service makes a difference. Unfortunately, this was a bigger peeve for me than the washer not working. Treating my family who came in to try to speak with you like they must be lying and wasting your time... that is absolutely unacceptable.Based on the attitudes alone, I would not recommend. I also, would be weary of the process if you are unfortunate enough to encounter difficulty with your equipment, unless you’re able to purchase a new one each year.Update in response to owner reply:They have not charged us for loaner and warranty repairs and home visits on the unit they sold. They are correct there and appreciated . Which is why I waited a while to even write the review.The tech did apologize after he got to our home and the washer would not work for him either. I will give them that also.I do believe a better understanding of warranty and replacement guarantees should be expressed up front. I doubt we would have spent $1000 on a machine that if it failed, that we could not get remedied. Especially if we had needed to call and pay multiple times to be told there is nothing wrong with it.The part that led me to the reviews, aside from the frustration of being without a washer for two weeks and then the follow up calls (of which I am grateful for the loaner since)... was the way staff interacted with my family. Three of us have been there since the purchase of the washer, I had a less than stellar experience the day I dropped off the old one, my husband and mother have both been in on more than one occasion for the issues and it just has been unpleasant. I realize we all have bad days, but continuously encountering the same thing comes off as the atmosphere, not a bad day and not just a difficult situation.If we can return to operational with the washer we purchased, I am happy to update the review regarding that portion of the experience accordingly.

My microwave stopped working. They were nice enough to order parts. However, it took forever, three weeks currently and all the parts are still not in . We have never received one call providing us with the status of our order. We have had to make the call to ask. They may be nice but an update on ordered parts should have been made to let us know that some parts have come in but not all. Now we arent happy and plan to cancel the whole order and go somewhere else . This could have been avoided with a little better customer service .

ETA-Spichers did refund some of my money, at least for the part that their repairman broke. Decent of them, but not enough to want to make me do business with them again.On November 20 of last year I called Spichers service department (in Winchester) to look at my dishwasher (which I had purchased from them less than two years prior) because it wasnt washing well. A repair person came, and he diagnosed that it needed a new dispenser. He returned on Dec. 7 to install it. It did not fix the problem. I called again on Dec. 8 to say that it was still broken. He came again on Dec 12th. This time he said it needed a new wash motor and a new controller, both very expensive parts. In fact, someone else from Spichers came to give me that news and ask if Id just like to get a new one instead. And also to say that I was going to be charged another $119 service call fee (which I thought was unfair as he should have fixed the problem the first time). The total was up around $650. Having already sunk $200 into this dishwasher I couldnt at that point give up and get a new one. But if he had told me all this at the first service call I certainly would have just chosen a new one and Id be happily washing dishes now. So, they ordered the parts.On Dec. 26 the repairman returned to install the parts. By the time he was done he said that the washer didnt, as it turned out, need a new wash motor (or controller--I cant now remember which he installed and which he said it didnt need) but instead needed an only slightly cheaper part--the user interface--that wasnt broken before he started working on it!So now, my dishwasher was still not fixed, and hes replacing a thing that used to work.I emailed Spichers and they checked on the part, finding out that it would be in the following week (a four week wait, total) and they clarified that I wouldnt be charged another $119 service fee, but made no other overtures to make sure I was getting good customer service.He came in put the user interface in. He said it was fixed. I washed dishes that night and it was NOT fixed. Still had the SAME PROBLEM Id originally called them about. I called them in the morning and (to their credit) they came right over that same day and worked on it again. Finally figured out it was a piece of glass in the motor preventing it from spraying the water around. They removed that and cleaned and oiled the motor and it appears to work now.That means he replaced THREE parts I DID NOT NEED, and set me back more than $500 for a problem that he should have found and fixed on that very first service call.This is truly one of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had. I am extremely disappointed. I like to try to use local businesses as much as possible, but this experience is definitely making me re-think that.

Went in to get a replacement washer machine belt, but the staff put zero effort into trying to help me and acted as if I was interrupting their morning. They certainly were not busy with other customers, since I was the only one there. I have visited this store a couple of other times when looking to replace appliances, did not have a good experience those times as well... I am done with Spichers. BTW went to Solenberger Hardware, but unfortunately the belt I needed was out of stock. However, the guy there made a couple of phone calls to find the belt I needed and provided me the phone number and directions to get the belt not even 15 minutes away. Spichers could certainly take lessons from Solenberger Hardware.

Stupidly in 2016 I waited 2 mos on a nov sale to purchase w cash a kitchenaid stove. When delivered the stove was strapped to the dolly slightly denting the metal on the side from the straps. Then they forgot the pigtail for electrical connection. Delivery guy said go to lowes get one and call and ached well hook it up for you. Store offered to send guy w pigtail, but after 2 problems already and wasnt in my house yet I wondered how the extra warranty I purchased would be handled. Needless to say they kept the stove and lost the sale. Shaking my head at the incompetence. Oh yeah did I mention I paid for a pigtail, verified 3 prong elect etc and delivery receipt had this info on it. Sales lady never bother to return a call or express sorry. I think i made a smart choice by not buying here. Ive since bought matching refrig and dishwasher too, but elsewhere. To quote Julia Roberts in pretty woman, BIG MISTAKE they made losing thousands in sales.

Worst experience Ive ever had to get parts from. Ordered parts that were told took 5 to 10 business days. Its been over 18 business days and never bother to call me to update me on the status..I finally had to call them and was told that they where still waiting for a part to come in.. From the first person I talked to when I called the store, to the two delivery guys who delivered my new stove, the individuals I dealt with were all super nice! The delivery for my stove was free, which was great because I live in West Virginia about 40 minutes from Winchester. I called the store Monday evening and they were able to deliver the stove Thursday morning. Great service. Have already recommended them to others!
