⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️How Delish has a big selection of vegan desserts, in fact I think they are all vegan, which is pretty amazing considering the huge number of cheesecakes available. I’m really impressed by the creativity of the flavors and they aren’t too heavy either. It doesn’t really matter which dessoyou choose, you will enjoy it 👍

Love love love HowDelish! Weve had their breakfast, lunch, and desserts and have never been disappointed. They are also my go-to for birthday cakes. Vegans and non-vegans alike enjoyed the strawberry shortcake birthday cake we had this past weekend.

The food is excellent. I had the Oreo cheesecake and strawberry short cake. They were delicious! I also tried the turkey and cheese sub and the chickpea tuna which was excellent!

So good!! I got the roast beef and provolone sub. It was delightful. The tiramisu was amazing. I got a bunch of other desserts too. Great place to eat.

So excited to have this restaurant down the street from my home! It is a beautiful establishment, the staff was super friendly. A lot of the young adults that work there I knew from working at West Orange High School. So nice to see a bunch of friendly faces I know. Now to the food I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich, banana pudding cake and the mango ice tea. The food is absolutely AMAZING, let me say it again AMAZING. So happy to have this black owned vegan business in my community. I will continue to support and I will make sure I pass the word to all of my fellow vegans!!! I will be back next week thank you so much for the food and the great customer service !!!

Stopped in after weekend in Jersey City. A little out of the way but definitely worth it. I got the chickpea tuna sandwich. It was HUGE!!! Desserts were amazing (chocolate cheescake bite was super rich). And the coffee with oatmilk was super creamy and helped top off the dessert. Plenty of seating.

Love this place! I’ve been looking for plant based vegan desserts for a while and I’m glad I found HD because both the strawberry cheesecake and carrot cake were absolutely delicious! Sometimes I find vegan desserts are a bit too sweet or more dry but the ones at How Delish were perfect. The atmosphere is also great for dining in. I’ll definitely be back

So happy to have found this place. Everything on How Delishs menu is plant based, including all cakes and ice-cream (yes...ice-cream). There are sandwiches, soups and other savory items on the menu as well, and of course, coffees, lattes and teas. Some items are also gluten free.No matter your diet, youre surely to find this place delish!

I loved everything about my experience at How Delish HD. The food was amazing, the staff was amazing. They were informative and a pleasure to interact with. Definitely recommend them to everyone who wants to have great food.

If I could give more stars I would! 6 year vegan here 👋🏽, and I can 100000% say how delish is the best vegan subs/deli meat I’ve ever had. I travel 40 mins for it😅. Totally bring your non vegan family and friends. My non vegan family love it too! Also, they are extremely accommodating. Recently, I got surgery and can’t have bread but still wanted a sandwich. I asked them to give me the sub on a bead of lettuce. If you feel the prices are high it’s so worth it. Plus, I will easily be eating this for three lunches. (I’ve ordered before and was able to leave it in the fridge for 3 days and it still holds its freshness) Major bonus is that it is a black owned business.Thank you so much!!

We got the BLT sandwich and roast beef sandwich, both were delicious and sizable. The sandwiches, potato salad, and dessert were all beautifully and carefully packed. We got the items to go, but decided to eat outside. The servers were pleasant. We will be back soon.

They live up to their name and I appreciate how environmentally friendly they are with using as little plastic as possible. More restaurants should follow their example. Highly recommend their cheesecakes

I assume How Delish is short for How Absolutely Fan Freakinly Delicious The Food Sold Here Is! The sandwiches are amazing. Fresh veggies, great tasting vegan meats, all on really good quality bread. It is exciting to have such a high caliber vegan restaurant right here in West Orange! Oh and dont forget to get dessert with your sandwich or of you are going just for dessert get some dessert for your dessert as you are gonna want more when its gone. Their cheesecakes are phenomenal. I am partial to the banana pudding cheesecake, but I have strayed for a chocolate one or even for their tasty carrot cake.Not only is the food here great, but they also bring in other vegan restaurants to do pop ups! I went on the Saturday Freakin Vegan was there and there was a line forming before the doors opened. Worth the wait in line to try something different while also scoring a tasty sweet treat from the glass display. Make sure you line up on Quinby though, I made the mistake of lining up on Kingsley and went from 2nd in line to 6th, my bad for not looking around the corner. Follow them on their social media to keep up with their guest pop ups.Inside is clean and sharp looking, with a really good friendly vibe. No indoor seating right now due to the pandemic, but they have several cute little tables outside if you cant wait until you get home to sample your order.Last, but not least, the staff is wonderful. Always friendly, polite, and helpful. It is an added treat to the whole experience. If you are in a rush to can place your order for pick up right on their website. I like to order my sandwiches online, but then pick out my dessert in person.This is a must try vegan restaurant!

Adorable and delicious! The sandwiches are great but the desserts are beyond amazing. The owner came out and introduced herself and gave us a little background info on her shop. She was very friendly. This is now my favorite spot for desserts and sandwiches.

There are not enough words to describe how Amazing the food is!I recently visited here with a couple of my friend, we ordered a sandwich and a desert and left to go eat in our car. But once we finished eating (more like devour) the food, we could believe what we had just eaten. It was some of the most delicious food we have ever eaten. After our first course we went back in and bought more food to bring back home. I am a passionate meat-eater, but I will be a regular here from now on! So the first time I got subs from this place then were FIRE perfectly dressed and seasoned and absolutely delicious. The second time they were a bit dry as if the cold cuts had been left out or they ran out of oil and vinegar... still a really good sandwich just not a home run like the first time. However their milkshakes were delicious and their cheesecake was to die for...

Powerful! Whether you’re vegan or non-vegan (I’m not vegan) you will love this spot…literally everything is amazing here from the teas, desserts, and paninis. Not only do they deliver on the food but it’s a true community feel when you walk in. Just great management and staff!

Awesome local vegan cafe! Desserts are bomb and have tons of GF options. Banana pudding, peach cobbler, and all the cheesecakes are sooooo worth it. Tried a roast beef sandwich the other day -- great bread, lots of oil and vinegar give a very sub-like experience. I was a little shy on the price ($13) but it was huuuuuge. Ended up splitting it with my husband! So glad theyre nearby.

The carrot cake is the best. The hot pastrami is fabulous

Like I told the owner, You know a vegan dish is good if you question if its truly vegan. I would definitely recommend Delish to anyone who is looking for great desserts.The potato salad and macaroni salad made me mad...because after eating them, I wished it came in a larger size.Im looking forward to trying more dishes on the menu and being equally as impressed!!

EXCELLENT today was the 1st time I went there and its only because I work in the area and I was looking for something to eat other than the usual but also for something more HEALTHY and I googled food in the area and opened a couple places but when I saw delish my search was over and it was a blessing in disguise to say the Least!! I ordered the hot pastrami with provolone cheese and a slice of the tiramisu cake and I ordered a 4oz. Of the macaroni salad when I arrived to pick up my order.the sandwich was Awesome and it is well worth the $14 because it is.huge and tastes great and the macaroni salad is just as good and it doesnt have that macaroni salad smell I am very pleased. The lady was very welcoming when I got there and my order was all ready.i didnt taste the slice of tiramisu yet because Im still full from only 1 half of the pastrami sandwich and the macaroni salad, but Im sure that it will be just as good stay tuned .the silverware and food wrappings /containers are very nice(trendy )

There is no sacrifice eating vegan here. The food is AWESOME! The customer service is friendly and professional. The restaurant is clean and stylish. A wonderful way to eat clean and vegan.

Extremely long wait. I placed the order over the phone and came 30 mins after. I was told it would take 15 mins to complete. I showed up to pay and the order wasnt ready. I waited an additional 30 plus minutes for them to make 2 mini cheesecakes. It really put a damper on mothers day and I was late to all my festivities. There were 2-3 other people in the place so it didnt make any sense why the service was so painfully long. It would have been nice to get a free brownie or something but nothing, just a weak apology.

Delicious, black owned, perfect desserts and sandwich was the best vegan bacon Ive ever tried. Wish I could eat every every day, Id try something new. The desserts are so filling, beautiful, and tasty my mom and little brother tried their chocolate cheesecake and are not vegans or vegetarians and still loved every bite. Cant wait to go back again asap

This the cutest bake shop I have been to in NJ, hands down. Everything here is vegan, and the vibe overall is hip, but loving and caring. Service was decent and the desserts were good! Rum cake- strong and tasty, but very sugary if thats not to your liking. Cheesecake Vrownie- pretty decent. And the dark side- soooo good. Their cheesecake and chocolate sauce are rich and divine! Will definitely come back here next time im craving vegan desserts 😋

Holy tastebuds Batman! Have been meaning to try this place after moving to West Orange last year. Finally got to try 3 of their cakes and each one was sooooo delish! I’m in love with the cheesecake texture, the tiramisu was on point, and the Oreo was a rich chocolatey, silky mousse that melts in your mouth. Cant wait to try the rest of the dessert menu and the savory treats!

Ive been vegan for a little over 5 years now and this place has the BEST vegan desserts I have ever had. Their deli sandwiches are also amazing and the macaroni salad is unreal. Aside from the delicious treats, the staff is absolutely lovely! I highly recommend giving How Delish a try, you wont be disappointed!

Best vegan bakery in NJ period.

The desserts from How Delish are out of this world! I went here because my girlfriend is vegan (I’m not), but that doesn’t matter because these are better than most traditional bakeries and dessert shops in the area. I haven’t tried the food, but I certainly will because of how great the dessert was. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

This is an amazing spot! My coffee was phenomenon. Service is very friendly. Busy, but seems well staffed and I can’t wait to see how they use the space when it’s open again.I love the pastrami and cappuccino. I was really impressed with both the bread and the coffee. It hits all the ideal notes for a sandwich. Unfortunately, I forgot my tiramisu at the restaurant, but I look forward to trying the dessert next time.My only small complaint is that as an autistic person, the music was a tiny bit overwhelming. The food is phenomenal, though.

I found out this place finally opened and I had to get there. I arrived and found street parking. Walked in and the place is decorated really nice. Everything here is 100% vegan and you wouldnt know it. As most vegan places are, this place is not cheap. I ordered a slice of cookies and cream and it was a little over $7. I got home and didnt eat it right away and set it aside. When I went to eat it, it was melted lol. I didnt know I have to keep it refrigerated. I ate it anyway and it was very, very sweet but not bad.

I’ve been a customer for a while now, since before there was a brick and mortar location. I’m such a big fan of the brand. The owner is such a joy to speak to, and she has always been accommodating to my requests. My non-vegan family loves the carrot cake, apple crumb, peach cobbler, tiramisu cups, and are always willing to try out a new flavor cheesecake or experimental dessert. I’ve been sharing their treats/cakes with my coworkers and I always get the same raving reviews. I also really enjoy the fact that the company uses more sustainable cartons and utensils. I am super grateful to have found How Delish and wish them so much success!

Absolutely THE BEST vegan desserts and amazing service. I recently ordered a cake to be shipped to me and received it super quickly and in great condition I highly recommend it!! Their desserts are so good, even if you’re not vegan you’ll enjoy them. The tiramisu and sweet potato cheesecake are some of my favorites but literally everything they make is the best version of that dessert that I’ve ever eaten!!!

I absolutely LOVED their desserts and sandwiches.I am not vegan, I was just curious and have been hearing good things so I went to check it out. Going into the store my first time I had no idea what to expect. I was completely blown away by the quality of their desserts! It also helped that they have such a friendly staff/ owner that helped me pick which dessert was right for me! I had the DarkSide and Hot Pastrami sandwich they were phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE BY OWNER. Sooooo where do I begin? This establishment was recommended to me on several occasions by a very close friend before she was a store front. I never supported her because when asked a question about ingredients it was like UHHHH they was not able to answer any questions.She became an establishment and the same friend recommended this place again to me being as though I am a VEGAN FOR 29 Years. Another friend sounded really excited and urged me to support.So I decided to support. I waited in line. I got to the counter. The cashier stopped to allow someone to sign a wall before servicing me. I felt like that could have waited that was rude! She came back. I asked about the the ingredients due to my allergies with SOY and WHEAT. The cashier had not idea which items had SOY OR WHEAT. She asked the OWNER. The OWNER VERY QUICKLY spat out this and that. She seem irked by me asking about the ingredients. She was not informative about much of anything and her workers are uninformed always about what she sells. She was not warm to anyone BLACK and she paid extra special to the WHITE PEOPLE.I was appalled at this below par service where you cannot attend to a customer who needs suggestions. I am not a customer who just gobbles up anything that any business presents to me. I care about what I eat and the consistency its from. If you do not like to answer questions I suggest you get signs so that it is transparent and your customers will be able to read and not be blinded of the ingredients. I thought I would support again but the owner seems unmoved by having customers who are adamant about what they ingest. I wish her business all the best however she has to groom her workers a little more better with being knowledgeable about the products being sold. Not to mention they werent using vegan bread. YOU NEED TO SPECIFY ALL VEGAN so customers are blinded!

By far the best vegan dessert Ive had...The addition of the sub sandwiches and salads were an icing on the cake. How anyone can go in and buy one thing is a mystery. Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike.
