Wow. Just wow. Ordered a $6,000 cabinet set for my home and 15 minutes into the install they busted a water pipe in the wall. Ok, accidents happen. But I was then told to contact a plumber to have it fixed. Really?!? You dont happen to take care of that when you crack a water pipe and flood an upstairs closet? After several calls with multiple managers it was clear no one cared and they refused to get one for me. As I write this, my house is without water and the soonest a plumber can get here is in 6 hours. My favorite part? Their region manager said that he cant find a plumber because he doesnt know my standards. Whats good enough for some houses might not be good enough for nicer houses he said. Classy. Dont bother writing the BBB complaint he also said. Itll just be me who receives it. Nice. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Cancelled order for no reason. Put down a deposit w/installation scheduled for 3 months out because they were booked up. After 2 1/2 months received a refund. Called to find out why and was told my order had been cancelled. No one could tell us why. They said they would look into it and call back. Never received a call.

Now, this was a very strange experience. We made an appointment and a very nice lady comes by the house on Saturday right at the scheduled time. We told her that we have about 1.5 hours because we have to leave, so she proceeds taking measurements and then sits down at the kitchen table and starts making drawings. Not sure why it was necessary to do it at our house. We have installed closets several times, and we never had anyone sitting down at our house and make drawings by hand. The measurements were taken, and then CAD drawings were emailed along with the price quote. The lady then leaves telling us that we will see an email from her later that evening. We have never received anything, not even a call. When we called the office, they were not sure as to what happened. We hope she is okay, and we hope to never deal with Closest World ever again.

We decided to use closet world for a cabinet install, thinking that a larger company would give us less issues. Instead they were such a hassle! It was so hard to get in touch with anyone. After waiting 2 months, they cancelled our install and we had to wait an extra 2 weeks. Then when they arrived, they realize that the measurements were wrong so now we have to wait at least another month for drawers. They also drilled our doors wrong so we have to wait for the doors too! They didn’t caulk or add any trim so it looks unfinished and unprofessional.On the day of install, they even had the guts to call and try to talk me into ordering something else! I had to tell them multiple times that I was not interested and finally hang up because they would not stop pushing their sales pitch on me. I have learned my lesson and will never order from them again. It was not worth it at all.

I would not recommend this company to anyone nor do I know how this company is still in business. Cassandra, the sales person, was good, however, the entire experience was terrible after that. I took 2 days off of work for installation as originally estimated by the company. The first day I received a message the crew was running behind schedule. Originally scheduled between 1- 3p and they arrived at 4:45p. When they arrived they spent 5 minutes looking at my walls and left. They told me they would be back the next day between 9 and 11 AM. I called at noon having not seen or heard from anyone and they said the crew would arrive between 1 and 3. I asked how the job was going to be done in one day if they are not here until the afternoon? The gentleman told me, If you had answered your phone yesterday I would have told you it was going to run into another day. No one should ever talk to a customer like this especially since they were the ones who were late. I was unable to answer at the time, however, the message he left said the crew was running behind and would be here between 3 and 4 and if I had any questions to call. My project was not done in the 2 days as promised and had taken off of work for. Resulting in me scheduling an additional day. The crew had a list of materials to bring back and finish the job on the third day. Not only did they have to pack up and leave my project because they were scheduled somewhere else on the same day, but had failed to bring the material needed to finish which meant I had to schedule an additional 4th day for work on my cabinets. Whomever is scheduling these projects needs to be fired. You show up late every day and then leave my project early to go somewhere else. The craftsmanship was mediocre at best and nowhere near worth the amount of money I spent. There were several pieces that were damaged when the crew started installing which should have been inspected prior to coming to the work site. The customer service was terrible and rude. The crew was nice and tried to do a good job, however they were not on the same page as the company schedulers. In my opinion, this company is overpriced and inefficient. Their project management is extremely inaccurate and they dont seem to respect their customers’ schedules at all. I will never use this company again.

DO NOT use!! Designer has no idea what she was a doing ( job is being done and it is not what we asked) installer is not professional. Does not show up on time or even show up. We are 3 months over due.. parts and glass still in my garage… this company is a JOKE….

We would like to make a complaint regarding our experience with closet world. It sounded great at first when we met with the sales rep, April. She measured the three projects and gave us some pre install instructions (which we followed). The installers arrived and were not informed they were to demo and haul away. After the installers spoke to their supervisor they demoed but told us it was not in their contract and their responsibility to haul away. Which it should have been seeing as you are labeled as a professional company that it is your responsibility to let the customer know all the expectations. Additionally there were several items that were the wrong size or missing-wrong door sizes, sloppy cutting to expose our breaker box, missing shelves and with these short comings the installers failed to finish/adhere a laundry cabinet door which came down and injured our two year old daughter. At this point we are still waiting to complete the “end” of the install. We were told we need to wait until the end of august to complete this job while parts are being ordered.

Extremely disappointed by this service from a company that should be extremely competent in closets given their name and that is all that they do. My design consultation was scheduled and went smoothly. Installation was scheduled for two months later. The day of my installation their lazy employee tells me all the measurements are wrong and they cannot install any of the closets or cabinets I had ordered. After further discussion the employee claims he can install one of the closets actually, but the materials are in the back of the truck and he doesn’t want to remove everything else to get those materials to install it. After making him do the work he was hired to do, he was in fact able to install 2 of the closets, leaving the other 2 cabinets I ordered not installed. How can this company go from telling me no closets can be installed to then 2 installed? Absolutely ridiculous. After rescheduling the appointment and having to order more materials for two weeks later, I receive a call the morning of new installation stating the person cannot come because he doesn’t feel well. Of course during COVID I understand the precautions taken, but they should have someone else to install in this case given they already messed up my order. They rescheduled again for 2 weeks later and when that day came around only 1 of the 2 remaining closets could be installed and again a claim of mis measuring the space and needing to order the material again. I was given a reschedule date 2 weeks after that and of course today receive a call stating they don’t have the material and cannot make my installation date yet again. How can a company that only does closets and cabinets be so completely incompetent? Keep in mind they also charged me the full price already the date of my original appointment despite not even installing everything. I have not received and apology and 4 months after my consultation, 2 months after my first installation date and 4 cancellations this is completely unprofessional. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

STOP CAUTION: DO NOT, DO NOT do any business with this company under no circumstances. Closet world is very unprofessional, practices are unethical and negligent behavior on many levels. They charged an unauthorized amount to my bank account. Th rebuttal was now you have less to pay at installment date. My 1st initial instalment was no call no show. I displayed my contract agreement with the layout on the areas where work was to be done. Not to my surprise they destroyed my entire walk in closet. Now Im responsible to fix damage that was never approve to work on. Be careful and mindful when dealing with this company.

To whom it may concern.Do not work with this company if you’re looking for a professional/custom installation. The installers are amateurs and do not go above and beyond to make your project look Professional and custom. Installers only do the basic and how every it comes out is what you get. I talked with Harry on the phone and he pretty much stated that the installers are not going to go above and beyond to make your project look decent or custom.I have had work performed by Closet World years ago and the installers back then knew exactly what they were doing and they went above and beyond to make your project look good. It seems those installers are no longer with Closet World or they sent me a newly hired employee that does not know how to do custom installs.Closet World is not willing to work with me to make my project look professional so I advise you to stay away from this company if you are looking for a custom install. Harry is not willing to put the effort in to make my newly installed closet doors look like my previous install closet doors. I will more than likely hire another company to come in to make my project look decent as Closet World cannot deliver.

There is no free quote just a system designed to lead u to buy that day. I signed up for a free quote and some of the quotes I did not like n designer got upset but I asked for other designs n decided other closets were a better value and was talked into buying same day and then cancelled my order and designer salesperson called to discuss to update my order and said my deposit would be refunded n it has not been returned n called corporate office 5 x n was promised a call back by end of day and still 3 days later no call

Bait and switch. They delivered an inferior product versus what was shown during the sales process, drawers will not slide and are worthless. Installation was poor with multiple gaps and crooked connections. Trying to get a resolution has been a joke, Harry, the supervisor I have spoken with twice asked for an email describing the issues, I have sent two and he never responded. I ended up disputing the charges on my credit card because this company is a nightmare.

Would not recommend. Closet world has not fully installed my closet, and have not delivered the new closet doors I ordered. They have come twice, once with wrong size doors, the second time with the right size but a completely different style from what was ordered.Closet World took full payment, automatically charging my card without authorization from me with their first visit which did not include the closet doors I ordered. Failing to complete the work fully, they took full payment for services not rendered.

Closet World by far is the best....This is my 3rd purchase/project with this company. I was able to get an outstanding price for the items I selected. Ill be a customer for life. My designer Larisa is always a joy to work with and she designed the entertainment center I wanted based on a photograph I sent her. Larisa nailed it. Larisa surpassed my expectations. I was able to talk with a manger named Robert Freeman. This guy was beyond nice. Robert understood my concerns and the budget I was sticking to. 2 years, 0% financing. I almost cussed when I was offered that deal. Dang. This is definitely a company that wants your business. Thank you both Larisa and Robert for giving Ana and I the best service and customer care that most businesses are lacking these days. If youre looking to add cabinets to your garage/man cave or you just want to have a closet redesigned for your queen, give this place a call. You wont be disappointed.

Outfit is overwhelmed and will take 2/3months for them to install. Had 3 closets done, priced a bit high compared to other options. However used sister company before “closet by design”. What could go wrong? On month 4, because design/manufacturing dont talk i guess, they finally install last closest. Drawer mechanism faulty, tried call support and now getting the run around or simply getn hungup on. Suggest finding another closet company.

Although I am very upset with the start date of my project (3 months out) I was super happy with Sharon Stika. She was super knowledgeable and creative. She really took the time to listen to our needs and came up with a great layout for our pantry. She explained everything and was very thorough.

I, regretfully, did not research this company prior to making my purchase. Several weeks after making my purchase, I was informed that the product as described in the agreement was not available. I was told that I could upgrade to something similar, but it would be an additional $1,000. I did not think it was fair to have a product in the purchase agreement that was unavailable and be charged an additional $1,000 for something close. So, submitted my notification to cancel.After several weeks of trying to contact Closet World to confirm the cancellation, I finally got Greg Smith VP Sales on the phone. To be clear, it was incredibly hard to get these guys to respond to anything, and even more so when I informed them my intent was to cancel. Greg is unfriendly at best, and rude at worst. He had zero sympathy for my situation, and you can read other reviews about how he interacts with customers. When I told him I was cancelling, he said I couldnt, and believed the purchase agreement was valid even though he admitted the documented product did not exist. Pretty brazen response, but I was at an impasse with Closet World.Without going into all the detail it took me several months to work through the dispute, but I eventually got my money back. I hope this provides anyone looking to Closet World for products caution about making a purchase from this company. Take a look at all the other 1 star reviews, inform yourself, and if you proceed, be awfully cautious. Read all the fine print, and know that they will not stand behind their product, nor do they care about making amends with customers who feel they were wronged.

This company is so unorganized and no one communicates with each other. I have been waiting months for them to finish my closets. They keep calling with excuses delaying the process and they made me pay the full amount on there first visit even though they were missing parts and had cut pieces wrong. Excuses excuses excuses. Find a better company these guys suck.

I have had the pleasure of having a sales person visit my home and presented her ideas of what I wanted on graft paper, a ruler and a pencil. I must say I was impressed. I thought I was back in high school in my drafting class. Needless to say it turned out better than I expected. I just wished I had called them earlier and had them do my other two closets. Art the person who installed my closet in the master bedroom was a true professional who had a lot of work to do and what would have taken me about 3 to 4 days he completed in a few hours. Wow! I would recommend them to any of my family and friends. Especially my clients who buy homes and want to add that special touch to any parts of there home(s).

Malia Mears was knowledgeable and friendly UNTIL we said we wanted to think about the pricing and look at other options (Closet world was our first call as we used you before). Her attitude changed quickly and she clearly saw it as a rejection and appeared to take it personal. She said to “Monty” on the phone “ Yes, they clearly don’t see the value of what we are offering” and questioned us about wanting to think about the $300 over. budget amount we were uncomfortable with. We were seriously still wanting to think about this $3300 expense, but now we signed with a competitor, mainly because of her unprofessionalism.

First, make sure you plan on at least a full hour with them to sit down and design in front of you and show you everything. I have had other companies just come in, measure, and leave and email me with the design and price. 10 minutes tops. Not Closet World. I told the designer I didnt have time to sit down another couple of hours for her to measure and design other rooms. She showed me pictures of different series, and that mine would look like them without the doors and drawers c(thats what I picked). Of course the closet in photo has a backing. I expected the backing to be installed on the day of install, but the contractor showed me the box for no backing was checked on contract. The designer never asked me if I wanted backing (which was in the picture) and checked the box herself without telling me. She told me their quality is above Ikea. I have to disagree. Every single Ikea furniture I have installed in my houses has a very nice finish WITH a backing! TOO EXPENSIVE for their product. The only reason I didnt get an Ikea product for our closet was the entrance is too small and we were not able to assemble it inside the closet room. The installer was a nice man and tried to help out with a couple of things but thats it. I will not use Closet World for my other rooms.

Everything about this company is beyond awful and unprofessional.The designer lady Jacqueline was very professional. She designed the garage cabinets. It took the company 1 month to schedule. Finally installers came out wrong and missing cabinets and shelves .I called and spoke to Harry Ramon, who promised to help, never called back. Found about his boss named, Mike Kinzie he was very rude and he didnt know was going on. Told him I want to return, HE HANG UP ON ME.One month later installer came back second time one of the cabinet was damaged. Called again Harry Ramon he said he is busy and will call back shortly. never called back. I sent him a text:Im not happy about this, you need the either refund the whole process or compensate me some how, the PRODUCT ARRIVED DAMAGED AND SCRATCHED AND SHELVES ARE MISSING This not unacceptable from a company being in business for 30 plus years. One week later he finally responded and sent third time the installers.Overall, this was an absolutely awful, disaster experience with closet world INC.

The closet turned out good. It was pretty pricey and just basic instillation. They didn’t match up the wall color behind the units that was exposed. They also continuously call you for sales and promotions which is extremely annoying. I wouldn’t use them again simply because of their continuous sales calls after telling them no multiple times.

Overall: I’m very happy with our new master bedroom closet. I feel like we paid a fair price and based on our experience I would recommend Closet World to others (despite the horrible reviews). Of course, not everything was perfect, so here are the pros and cons as far as we can attest to:Cons: a bit heavy on the sales tactics (like buying a car, so be strong); not great communications between salesperson, installation team and local office; did not provide me a receipt and/or warranty (I had to call for it); in-home design technology is rudimentary (measuring tape, pencil and paper); somewhat mediocre quality of closet drawers (not very sturdy)Pros: we ended up with a great closet, exactly how we envisioned it; very decent quality for what we paid; there was a slight error (2 wrong size drawers) in installation, but the office manager was quick to follow up and fix the situation; they confirmed our appt ahead of time like they said they would; the installers showed up on time, came prepared, and were nice hardworking guys (thank you Jaime & Francisco); a quick and proficient installTip: be prepared to gut your closet, fix holes, mud, plaster and paint YOURSELF, this is not part of their services and it is not their fault if you dont ask or read about it listed clearly in the contractI would suggest that management improve their process and train their employees to ask customers to give an online review if their experience is good. Following up with the customer directly for their feedback afterwards, would be even better.

I paid for my closet at the beginning of January only to have my installation canceled, 3 weeks into waiting. The Sales Manager canceled for an unknown production issue Its been 11 days since that time and the Sales manager wont return my calls and when I do get a hold of him he lies and says his secretary didnt give him the message. Ive submitted complaints online through the Closet World website and have also been ignored. The Sales manager refuses to give me contact info for anyone above him. I even spoke with the installation manager and he tells me I have to talk to the sales manager. Please spare yourselves and do not do business with this unethetical and slimeball of a company. There are many other businesses out there who will actually treat you like a human. 5 weeks after signing a contract all I have is money gone from my bank account and NO CLOSET!!! Go elsewhere.

Totally bad service. After 1 month they cancelled my order. They took money from at first and gave me installation date after 3weeks and when only 3days left installation, they said they dont have product. Salesperson never answer my calls or masseges. Then trying to contact with manager, he only took my call once and then he never in his table and whenever if he answer my call he always loves that customer service didnt call you. I dont even want to give a star. They dont deserve that.

I would not give this company any business. They are very un- professional. I received a call from them and they did not leave a voicemail. I called the phone number back and I spoke to Liz. When I explained to her I was calling about a position listed in San Marcos she was very short with me on the phone. They hung up on me so I called back to explain that I was calling about a position and they transferred me to Monty. Monty had no idea why I was calling him so I had to explain myself once again for the 3rd time I was calling about a current postion listed in San Marcos. Monty started explaining the position but then while in middle of conversation he breaks out laughing while putting me on hold. After he comes back he starts to explain position again while he is still chuckling. I explained to him I was not interested.If this is how they conduct themselves when recruiting for employees how do they treat their customers. Unheard of in my book!! I hope Frank Melkonian CEO sees this review. If your out their Frank I would strongly take a look at your team or should I say lack of team..
