I just retired from 43 years in the automotive business so I’m very familiar with how a business like this should operate and these folks certainly seem to have it figured out! Fast courteous and fair. Everyone one there was professional and polite especially Jim the service advisor. Jim treated me like I’d been going there for years and it was my first visit.. so pleasant I had them do all 3 of my cars and will be taking my Motorhome there as well.

A few days ago I had a tire blowout while driving on highway 45 heading south. After I heard the loud “boom” and realized it was from my tire bursting, I managed to quickly get off the main freeway but unfortunately I didn’t make it off the exit ramp. I pulled onto the shoulder of this exit ramp and prayed I would not get hit as vehicles swooshed past me.When I was able to get out and look at the tire and the damage to the tire, I realized I would have to change the flat myself if I wanted to get home. To my surprise 2021 Toyota Corolla hybrids no longer come with a spare tire in the trunk. I was shocked to only find a bottle of fix a flat and no spare tire.in the trunk of my new car!. This is a ridiculous and terribly unsafe way to sell any car in my opinion. Now I was stuck with no options to help myself. I had no choice but to just sit there until their “complimentary” tow service came to get me and tow me to their closest service center. With literally no other options, I waited and waited and waited - for well over an hour - in the heat and on an unsafe shoulder.This is were this automotive business provided me with help through their “Tow and Go” services! I was ecstatic to see them pulling up behind my vehicle and relieved help had arrived. The tow and go driver, “Xavier”, clearly explained to me how he could help me get of the feeder to a safe road ahead for free or tow me to wherever I’d like for a reasonable price. No pressure - not pushy - not out to make a buck…just there to help. I was so relieved to finally have the help I needed to get out of this bad situation.I tried to reach the “complimentary” tow service that Toyota dispatched to me hours prior but whoever they dispatched to help me, never showed up or answered my many texts and calls to their listed contact phone number provided. I never received any call or text indicating they were coming or had arrived to tow my vehicle. Thank God “Tow and Go” showed up!!’Anyway, because of Xavier and the Tow and Go company’s services, I was not left in a dangerous situation but rather I was professional towed to safety.I highly recommend this company for their quality approach to helping stranded motorists get to safety. I also want to thank Xavier for his prompt quality service, clear explanation of how he could help me and his continuous professional manner throughout this ordeal.It’s nice to know that there are quality companies with hard working responsible employees that will be there to help when you have no other options. Our SUV decided to end its work day early on a busy street in front of our sons school when we tried to pick him up for the day. I put in a request for roadside through my insurance and a Milstead truck came to tow us. They were very nice. Truck was clean and in good shape. Insurance recommended a different shop but we decided to go to Milstead. Great decision.It was late evening so the were close to closing but they were able to secure our vehicle in their lot. Office is very nice as well and clean. Also has water and coffee if the needed. They were able to get us home for the evening and let us know what to expect for repairs.They called us early the next morning to provide results and cost. It was reasonable and they let us know they could have our vehicle ready that afternoon. Thankfully it wasnt an extensive repair but did require a part that had to be collected directly from the manufacturer. The process was all really efficient and smooth and they send updates via text.They were done at the time they said they would be and had driver here to pick up up shortly after. Absolutely no lights or issues since we got her back.I neglected to mention that the tow driver, service coordinator and driver were all super kind and helpful.Overall excellent experience for a stressful situation.

I had the brilliant idea of getting an oil change at Walmart while I shopped for my son’s birthday party, day before 4th of July. They cracked my oil pan (I got what I paid for) and 3 months later I finally got it repaired. Just an FYI, I’m in the service industry and I’m happy I didn’t go with “a friend of a friend’s brother’s girlfriend’s uncle” for the job just to save and still have issues. I was already dealing with a simple $25 oil screw up that costed me a few thousand more. Milstead was worth every penny.From start to finish they were honest and fantastic to work with. I was able to use there after hours service of dropping my car off on a Sunday night and dropping my keys off since I was unable to take it Monday morning. They have a 24/7 answering service.During the repairs they texted me pictures and called me to make sure I was involved with each step of the repair process. They even took me out to the garage and showed me the areas they were talking about. Many things came up and never did they say “you better do this” or “you’ll have to pay this”. Although they gave me several bad news they always gave me options and solutions to consider and even said “please take your time to think about it. You don’t have to answer now.”I went today to finally pick my car up and they were all smiles and ready for me to checkout. They gave me an itemized invoice along with reasonings for each item line. They answered all my questions and even gave me an estimate of what I could sell my car for when I was ready to buy a new care. But wait there is more, they even gave me a list of things I should repair in the near future along with price list. Not once did they say, “you have to come back” or tried to make more money by lying or deceiving me on the health of my vehicle. They made me a lifer when they said they guarantee the parts and labor. No extra cost for this warranty. They are that skilled and confident in their team.They understood the assignment! Answer: yes but we don’t do auto detailing. 😂If you ever have to wait they have some beverages to help yourself to, the reception area is extremely clean and inviting. I’ve been overdue for oil change made an appointment online and I didn’t know I’m supposed to get a email back to confirm so when I got they said we still have to confirm you if we have opening. The guy at the was so gracious to take on the spot and told me that we can hold off this one car and we can work on my car. I told I will be going out of town and check everything. So thankful for a friendly conversation and fast service and in moments notice ❤️

I was surprised at the speed that they responded to my call. From the time I called them to their arrival was less than 30 minutes. Also, for a heavy duty wrecker and the job that was performed I was very happy with the price. Hopefully I’ll never need Milstead’s services again but if I do, I know that I can count of them to handle any job thrown at them.

I am extremely happy with this company’s service. My Honda hybrid had a dead battery and was locked, which meant two issues: locked and dead car. Milstead came out right away and Alton was incredibly nice and opened my car with no problems or damage. He diagnosed my battery and made sure I was okay to get it replaced on my own when he left (which I told him I would do). I am very pleased: fast and friendly service. Thank you!

After diagnosing my cars issues, he provided a quote, assured me they could fix the problem but recommended I talk to the dealership about extended manufacturer warranties for my vehicle due to this specific damage. He provided detailed literature and resources to substantiate his recommendation. I spoke to the dealer and shared the details and support, low and behold he was 100% correct in his suspicion!! $3000-$4000 in repairs covered completely by VW! He could have accepted my car and the big ticket repair order but instead, he looked out for whats fair to the consumer, me! Towing services! At my job, we utilize the towing services from Milstead on a daily basis. Johnny, the driver of one of the trucks, is great! He is dependable, friendly, flexible and is always on time! The entire crew at Milstead are outstanding and Johnny is no exception. I highly recommend them for any of the services they provide.

My husband and I bought a used truck knowing that it needed some work upfront. We received the best of services from start to finish with the Milstead team! I took my 96 Chevy impala there and it was there a month. I was changed 3300 only to get my car back in worst shape than it was when I dropped it off. There was no oil in it no antifreeze I had new exhaust put on and they didn’t bolt down one side it was smoking. My hood no longer would stay raised in the up position they was telling me it was running very well after everything they so called done only to find out it was a lie. They didn’t even test drive the car before I picked it up it’s was dirty as hell and as soon as I started it I could tell it wasn’t right. So I drove it home which I live a mile away and had to have it towed back to them. After I paid my hard earned this is what I received in return so they have the car back so we’ll see what it’s like whenever I get it back this time so stay tuned for a update!!!!!!

Utilized the wrecker service. Roger was the truck operator and was more than professional. His first concern was I stayed safely away from the interstate traffic. He took care of everything quickly and with great care. I can not brag on Roger enough. In a time of crisis Roger was a gift from God. I will go out of my way to use Milstead Automotive again. No, I was not paid to do this nor have any other affiliation with Milstead except they towed my off the interstate at rush hour. Roger is Da Man.

I made an appointment so I could get in & out quickly as I had a simple oil change on an American made vehicle. I waited over an hour. Then I am told the price has increased. Last time I had the same services done for $13 & change. Today I paid $29 & change. Over double the cost. I’ll be finding a new local business to service mine & my family’s vehicles.

Quality of service this time was not the same as previous times. (6 previous encounters). Something has definitely changed at this location. In the past I didn’t mind paying the extra $$ because I was receiving extra perfect service. Not this time. I would love to know why.

Steve Meredith completed an extremely difficult job pulling a vehicle out of the mud without the luxury of a tow truck. The vehicle was stuck in an area that was too muddy and slippery for a truck. He used a winch and a tree and pulled the buried vehicle free. My arms ached just watching him but he had a great attitude and showed enviable patience during the tedious process. This company will be by first choice for all my automotive needs. Thank you again Steve!

I enjoy talking my vehicles to Milstead Automotive. They are professionals who I feel take their job serious in taking care your vehicle. I have always been pleased with the results of their work and I ask you to give them high considerations when your vehicles are In need of repairs.

Tow driver blocked our driveway and complained loudly about the difficulty of the job. He huffed and puffed around our yard, took pictures, then sat in his truck and ignored any of our attempts to communicate. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR TOWING. They will bail on the job without a word.

When my car broke down on 45 they were right around the corner. They did excellent work on my car. I would go back there anytime. They work a little pricey though but it was well worth it.

My car broke down and Milstead was the company who towed my car home. They towed to 60 lies miles and did a great job.

I broke my door handle during the ice storm. The service manager talked me through the parts cost and the labor estimate. He was able to give a clear picture of my expected expense and it was obvious to me that they would be able to solve my problem for little more than I could even try to do it myself. They had parts within a couple of hours and called me to set up repairs that same day. It was quick, affordable, and so much better than the unknowns of trying to cheaply fix it on my own. I’m glad I left it to the professionals. I will happily use them again.

Always knowledgeable and professional they fixed several accumulated problems that had developed with the car, explaining what was going on and then getting the parts and returning the car not only 100% working but also much cleaner than it was just a few days earlier.

I loved my experience with Milstead. They let me know what needed to be done as well as recommendations for things that needed work (my front and rear brakes only had about 3,000 miles left on them). My car was ready the next day and I couldn’t be happier with their service!

I was on the side of I-45 with a flat tire. A VERY nice gentleman (I think his name was Alton), pulled up and offered to change it for free. He was such a white knight to my morning as roadside assistance was quoting 75 minutes!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!

I’ve been using these guys since I had my first truck in high school & have nothing but good things to say.Recently, I took my truck to Milstead from Planet Ford due to multiple legality issues pertaining to laziness and negligence after a collision repair. Glenn & Greg (along with everyone else) got my truck safe and road-ready just in time for a work trip coming up. Keep in mind - what they got done in 3 days, Planet Ford couldn’t get done in 4 months.

I went here one day because 3 other auto shops were closed or couldnt get me in for an oil change. I waited behind 3 other people at Milstead and I was out of their business in 30 minutes. They were helpful and definitely check out their monthly specials they run, I ended up only paying $10 for the car inspection (normally $25) They are always very helpful and friendly. I was always a loyal Service First customer but since my experience here Ive stopped going to Service First and only going to Milstead. I highly recommend Milstead.

They are always very professional. They can be a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend anyone who has vehicle issues to have this repair facility do the work.

In addition to my oil change which includes checking the tires air pressure and tire rotation I asked if they would visually check my tires for any other concerning issues. They called me to let me know I had a nail in both rear tires. Some may be surprised, although I was not, that instead of suggesting I buy new tires, he insisted the tires are worth keeping and minor patches is all thats necessary. Brad explained they were still very good tires, instead offered to repair both tires with removing the nails then patch the repair. 20.00 for each repair. Again, I was not surprised by this because I have trusted these guys and family company with all my cars for over 25 yrs and not once have I ever worried or questioned the service they have provided.Last I would like to note to people looking up other automotive companies in Spring Texas. Specifically on Rayford / Sawdust area. Several auto shops have been built up, then their company name changes, then they shut down,some right on the main road, Rayford....however.....Milstead Automotive is just a block or so off the main road and has seen the others come and go while they have been there 25 + yrs. Trust worthy company....go see Milstead.
