Sustainability-minded shop with a good selection of clothes for men and women, as well as sandals, bags, candles and other things. Cool little place.

PASSION ! My wife and I stopped by this fairly new clothing store this morning after enjoying coffees nearby. We were more than surprised by the high quality well made mens and womens clothing. But even better was chatting with Joe the co-owner ( with his wife ) who explained what the store stocks and why. We both admire people with passion and an honest mission statement so we give this business the high 5. My wife saw some items she admired and I looked at a few very nicely cut shirts...the majority of which were around $70-80. Just love having a good alternative to a department store.

I was visiting from Boston and stopped into this store. It was a lovely store but I was about to leave to go to a dinner when the store owner stopped me and gave me a lovely explanation of the brand ethos and their mission. It was so sincere and so important, truly. I ended up buying several items because I loved his commitment to education, sustainable fabrics and our environment. I highly recommend visiting this store!

Love this spot! They have great clothing items for men, women, and kids, plus toys, jewelry, bags, shoes, and some other gift items. I stopped in to look for a gift for my niece and found a unique, high quality, super cute shirt for her. The owners are a husband and wife, and she was there that day. She told me that they only carry items that are either sustainably made, or companies that give back to the world somehow. I also bought an awesome pair of socks for my husband, for every pair purchased, the maker cleans up one pound of trash (I think from the ocean?).Above Board is a great addition to the Cedros shops, and I always love to support local businesses instead of the big box chain stores or Amazon. They have a great selection of items and the owners are so friendly!The Solana Beach farmers market is on Sundays, I suggest making a day of it! Start on the North end of Cedros and work your way south. Get breakfast or lunch, grab a coffee at Lofty, do some shopping, then finish with a stop in Above Board and head across the street to the farmers market!

GOOD QUALITY CLOTHING ! My wife and I were having a Sunday afternoon stroll along S Cedros and stopped by here to see whats new. The stylishly dressed co-owner Loreana greeted us in friendly manner as soon as we entered the store. We love the styles and colors of many of their shirts etc but will probably wait til Summer to see what arrives then. Loreana and her husband Joe are doing a great job here !

Joe, the owner, is great. Store sells sustainable products including clothing for all ages and other accessories.

Although I know the owners of AboveBoard Co., I can honestly say that I love their stuff. My wife bought me a hooded sweatshirt from them because I am a big believer in responsible consumption and sustainability. Not only was the hoodie made from organic cotton and recycled polystyrene, the cut and craftmanship were excellent, too. I was also very happy to see the attention they gave to all of the packaging and other materials--this is key to me. EVERYTHING about AboveBoard is about being, well, above board! Its nice to see a great, new clothing company in San Diego, and one thats sustainability-focused. I cant wait til they offer other clothes and accessories.
