Went there to have my Xbox One X diagnosed. You would think a place that touts their ability to fix consoles, phones, tablets and the like would have a power cord for the console. Of course you would be wrong. They didnt have one and requested I come back with the one I had at home. Left and never came back.

Waited outside the locked up store for 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment and eventually a van driver came out and told me everyones been let go due to a corporate buyout. Hes only doing van service appointments and hes not sure when theyll be open again. So... Why was I still able to book an appointment here?

Very quick service, a full hour before they said It would be ready. I came in and asked them to replace the battery and they did but they said that it was still draining faster than it should and was likely not going to be fixed by a replacement battery. Rather than just do the replacement as I had asked they opted to reassemble my phone and not charge me for anything which I was pleasantly surprised at. Will definitely return here for any phone maintenance that I dont want to do myself.

Honest, Customer-centered, Experts!Brought my s9 with un-responsive touch screen.They opened it up, fixed some connections, and it started working again. They called me saying the phone is all fixed and ready for pick up, and when I got there they DID NOT CHARGE ME AT ALL!!I thought they replaced the screen which cost $250. They told me they suspected it might just be electrical connection issue and just tried to fix it without unnecessary and costly replacement.Thank you for your honesty and fantastic customer service!!

--Two months to get a laptop battery replaced.--Needed to get battery replaced on laptop. The part was ordered (with the deposit already paid) and was in the back but even though I had been waiting for the replacement for around two months, I was never prioritized when bringing my macbook in for the service to be performed. I was was always quoted around 48 hours. Even if it is not obvious that clients may be bring in technology that is vital to their work and thus have time-sensitive expectations (that wouldnt allow for them to go two days without a laptop), it should be readily obvious that in terms of basic customer service, that you should take into account the order date when determining when to perform a service. Also, when my laptop was returned, one of the screws on the bottom of appears to be misthreaded (screwed in wrong) and thus isnt flush with the surface.

If I could, I would give them 0 stars.Gave them a pretty new under warranty Google phone (per direction from Google Support). uBreakiFix did not ever call back when they said they would. Each time I called in it was one excuse after another (first it was battery, then camera, then memory, then motherboard, then parts, then employee attrition, etc. etc.). Each time I was told, it should be fixed in 2-3 days.After 2 months of back and forth. I was told that it was not repairable and that I can come pick up the phone. Google should know better than to contract with such a company.In short, 2 months of excuses, numerous calls and nothing. Take your business elsewhere!

Bait and Switch prices for Camera replacement!I wanted to get my rear camera replaced (takes blurry pics) so I got a quote for $89.99. When I wanted to drop the phone off, the employee took a quick glance over his price sheet and said Thatll be $129.Almost 50% over the original estimate???he couldnt explain the price jump nor why the original estimate was much lower as they seem to have a fixed price list?Oh, and dont bother making an appointment online thats a gimmick on theyre website, its strictly on a walk-in basis.

My laptops still not working after I paid for repairs. Told me my battery needed to be replaced. The screen shows its a thermal shutdown but they insist its just the battery. Now I need my computer to work and here it is again thermal shutdown. What a water of time. Thanks for holding my laptop for 3 weeks just to give it back in the same condition

My wife’s iPhone 8 was acting up, shutting off at weird times, showing erratic and inaccurate battery levels, and developing bright spots on the screen...I thought she would need a new phone! I brought it here to get it fixed and they ran some quick diagnostics and said it just needs a new battery. Well it’s been 2 weeks and all of the problems are gone and the phone works like new! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to respond....and fair priced! I will bring all my electronics here for repair! Best service I’ve had in a long time.

I broke my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 screen to where the crack went over my the front camera but it didnt break the camera itself, so dust got underneath covering the lense making the camera blurry. I went to these guys and tried to get my screen replaced thinking they would also clean the dust that got inside. I got the phone back with the screen repaired but I didnt check camera until 2 weeks later. When I tried to use the front camera, it was still blurry and I looked closer and saw there was still dust inside. It was negligent of them to not think that maybe Id want the dust that got inside the phone (when the screen got cracked) to be cleaned up, but thats not the main reason Im making this review. After realizing my front camera still had dust inside I decided Ill just go back there and pay them to clean it. I went to the front desk and talked to the dude -hes the big guy with the beard and long hair, and there 90% of the time- and told him exactly how the dust got on the lense inside the screen, then I asked how much it was going to cost me. He then proceeded to try and con me by acting like the back camera was also broken and they also needed to REPLACE THE SCREEN in order for them to fix the cameras. They said it was going to be $180 to do all of that, and that it was going to cost them $150 for the cameras itself. I knew my back camera was completely fine and he was over billing me because I had a quote online from another shop for $80. I think he thought that maybe i was trying to get free service just because I mentioned i got the screen fixed there. KEEP IN MIND, I did ask how much it was going to cost to get the camera fixed. This store is both neglegent and ignorant. I walked out and took it to another repair shop. I double checked with them and they confirmed the back camera was fine and they didnt need to replace the screen to fix the camera and it was going to be $60-$80 to get the camera fixed.I would highly reccomend that you look for another repair shop. This place makes too much money to care about bringing good service to customers and all they care about is replacing phone screens.Also that dude at UBreakIFix was talking about his friends dead grandma before attempting to con me for more money- if that story about her is true then its honestly very disgraceful of him to try to use someones dead as a shield to try and do something scummy.

Customer service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and courteous and explained the service process thoroughly. I brought my phone in to have a repair done on a faulty button. The repair estimate was 4 hours and was completed under 2 completely under warranty.

My screen had a dead spot in it, and Google support sent me to this store to have it repaired under warranty.When I brought my phone in, the guy behind the counter hardly glanced at my phone, and then tried to tell me that my repair wouldnt be under warranty because there was a very insignificant scratch in the screen protector. He insisted that the screen was damaged from the same pressure that caused the minute scratch. I told him that the tiny scratch was from my nail, was not deep, and was only on the screen protector. He didnt seem to care to listen to what I said, he was already convinced of his own quickly-formed opinion. I peeled the protector off, showed him my pristine screen, and then asked if it would be covered under the warranty now. The guy looked at me and the phone, surprised, and then said hed have to say yes. His attitude seemed to change after this. Its not a big deal that the screen protector was removed; I expected that. However the attitude behind this interaction really didnt come off as professional, knowledgeable, or friendly. It made me feel as though I was not cared about at all. There wasnt any respect in that interaction. After my phone was in the back being worked on, I felt as though the same staff member became much more friendly.After awhile, I got a call saying that the repair was no longer under warranty due to unforseen water damage, and I did end up paying for the repair completely. My screen was replaced in the amount of time that was estimated, and it appears to be working well with no issues.All-in-all, the work performed on the phone was quality, timely, and the price was not unusual. The only complaint I have is my initial experience with the man at the front desk. I dont think that any customer, regardless of knowledge-level, should be treated so carelessly or callously. I shouldnt have had to fight against his opinion or prove to him anything. If he thought it was pressure damage, he should have quietly tested it for that before saying what he did. I dont appreciate know-it-all attitudes. I did end up with my problem resolved. I might recommend this store, but not any more than any other shop.

I got my battery fix and few days later battery became loose and it damage the motherboard. By the time they tried to fix my warranty was over. It was going to cost 600-700 to fix the phone. Look for a different place.

It is very clean and inviting and I enjoyed how quickly the representative helped me. I didn’t have an appointment and was able to get assistance immediately. I’d highly recommend this business to others who have issues with their phones.

I came to the store to get a stuck screw removed from my laptop. There is only 1 person at the counter and will provide information on the steps and process for your repair and tells you the fees. I know this because I was 3rd in line and the other 2 parties were provide a long through explanation for their questions. Good customer service for those who need more information but expect to wait a while if there are other people in the store.My issue was fairly straight forward and he was able to remove the stuck screw in less then 5 minutes.

I stopped by earlier to try and get my screen fixed a sign outside said only 2 people at a time durring covid so i respect that and i wait outside. As i wait more customers line up behind me then one of the employees walks outside and says we have to go to lunch so we are closing for 1 hour come back later so im like uhhh ok? Then other customers mention they are there for pick up he allowes about 3 or 4 customers walk in when sign says only 2 people at a time and then tells me come back later we have to go to lunch for 1 hour like what kind of customer service is that i respectfully didnt say a thing and walked away but come on 🤦‍♂️

They were very honest with me. What I meant by that is that they only charge me for actual problems and they dont lie to you. I thought my device has water damage but they told me that it wasnt damaged at all and didnt charge me anything. I thank them for that.

I had my phone screen repaired here a couple times. Both times I checked in before hand on their web site but still ended up waiting 30-45 minutes to be seen by someone. Both times my service rep seemed impatient and annoyed, it probably isnt their fault since they seem to be understaffed. It took 3-4 hours to get my phone back for what is a very simple fix. I recently found a local vendor (Bay Area Phone Doctor) that does the repair for a lot less ($100 to replace the screen versus $149 at this place) and fixed it under half an hour. I thought this place was my only option for third party screen repair but I am glad that I no longer have to deal with their mediocre service and high prices.

I recently went to get my iPhone’s mic to get fix. They did a good job at it but when I got it back. The whole screen was very scratched and I was upset that they did this. The worst part is, is that I don’t have a screen protector on my phone and so now when ever I clean my phone I see all the scratches they did. They also took 3 days to fix my mic on my iPhone.

They usually quote 2 hours for repairs but he mentioned it could be done within 1 hour depending on the orders ahead of me. Patrick checked in my phone and ran diagnostics. While waiting for my phone, 4 additional customers came in and Patrick was able to swiftly help each person. He politely acknowledged everyone and said he will be right with them. In between he was providing updates/ETAs for the customers who were waiting. The environment was clean and organized. My phone was repaired in 1 hour by Adrian and the screen looks brand new! Great customer service and good quality products. Definitely would recommend this location especially with 90 days warranty for defects.

My phone was water damaged. I lost all my contacts, etc. I was desperate to get them. It said abnormal battery temp when I replaced the battery it worked, then charged it and it said it again and would shut off. When I called they spent time talking with me about what could have gone wrong and how it could possibly be fixed. When I arrived Jason was there to save the day! He spent time trying different things and fixed it without even having to open it up. He didnt charge me anything and I have my contacts and saved my life! I tipped him and said he would share it with his co-workers. Great guy, seriously great place to have your phone fixed! I highly recommend them to everyone. They made me dropp off my phone at noon and never called back that their system was down no repair at all. I only found out because i walked in 5 minuets prior to closing. Worse customer service I dont recommend it. FYI The guy at the counter looks like he hates his job.

Stopped by this place to get my laptop and my phone diagnosed. There’s a game getting released next week that I want my laptop for, and unfortunately their turnaround time was a bit too long for my “emergency” scenario, so I’m going to opt to fix my laptop myself.As for my phone, JC is the man. He really hooked it up, and he pointed out that the only problem with my phone charging port was that it was too dirty to properly hold the lightning cable in place. He cleaned out my charger port AND my speakers, for free. Definitely made coming here worth it, and I don’t doubt I’ll be stopping by in the future for the next thing I inevitably end up breaking.

My over 2 year old Pixel XL was running out of battery and had to be plugged in to power most of the time. These guys replaced the battery and only took about an hour. I have done iPhones before but didnt want to risk breaking the display. Phone works like new again!

I have no words to explain. My laptop got some issue with the screen when I turn it on and I checked with a couple of stores, they asked me $50 for diagnosis and $185 for changing the screen and I wanted to give a try with Ubreakfixit Store, I got there and there is a wonderful, genious and sensible person called ADRIAN diagnosed my laptop in 5 min for free of cost. I was shocked and wondered, that kind of service they give. He could have asked me some minimum charge and he didnt do it. I think they should change their name from Ubreakwefix to For customers not for Money. They deserve it. Before you go to any store for any isssues with your laptops, computers, mobiles, etc, first stop by Ubreakfixit Ppl and see Mr. ADRIAN and then go anywhere you like. Its my sincere feedback. Amazing, Smart and Humble.Had to visit them for a quick fix on my Iphone, the engineers worked on it immediately and did the job within couple of minutes.

I mailed my phone in for a repair after creating a work order online. The good news is that my phone works again. The bad news is that this took 10 days and the communication with the company was less than I would have liked: they didnt acknowledge receiving the phone for a day or two, they didnt have the part on hand even though it was 4 or 5 days after I created the work order (and they could have told me which store to mail the phone to based on their inventory) and they give me a tracking number when they mailed the phone back.Maybe if you go in person its all fine, but the mail-in experience was disappointing.

My experience with uBreakiFix began with my phone call to their location at The Plant in San Jose. I was having an issue with my smartphones charging port. Gloria answered promptly, professionally, and explained my options. That was a refreshing change from my calls to other phone repair shops. Encouraged, I went to their location where I was greeted immediately by JC. I explained my problem and thought Id be due for a port replacement. I was ready to turn over the phone for a port replacement. Instead, JC, had a look and did a cleaning of the port and handed it back to me and I had a functioning phone.JC, like Gloria, treated me like a valued customer. And, even so, didnt charge me for the quick cleaning. JC treated me like anyone would like to be treated.The uBreakiFix shop in San Jose will be my only destination if my phone needs repair. I recommend the shop to those needing a phone repair and who wants to be treated fairly and like a valued customer.

I received a battery replacement for my Google Pixel 1 for a subtotal of $90. The technician ended up damaging the screen during the repair. Of course, the staff fixed the screen for free as soon as parts were available. This entire process took about 6 days, most of which incurred by parts shipment.The screen damage started off as a purple spot at the corner of my screen, but ended up growing and darkening over the course of approximately 12 hours and rendering the phone unusable. Fortunately, I already had a new phone available so I wasnt terribly inconvenienced.Thats not to say I had a terrible service experience. This locations customer service is super professional. J.C. is super polite and attentive. The technician who damaged my phones screen was honest and forthcoming about the screen and free repair process. They also have free wifi!I would have my devices repaired at this location again. For non-emergency repairs, I recommend you have a backup phone available and/or ensure they have appropriate parts in case anything goes wrong.
