This was a great overall experience. Outstanding customer service and products are a great addition to any home given that it’s an outlet we were not disappointed. No high pressure anywhere they just wanted to care of the customers. Super clean restrooms. A special thanks to Julia and Kay, you ladies made our day, thank you.

My wife and I recently decided to upgrade our office desk setup, and decided to check out the Ballard Outlet in case they had something decent. When we got to the store and looked at the pieces, while they were in decent shape, we were hoping for slightly better. We were working with Sarah and she said she could put us on a list to be called when more of that item came in to see if they were in better shape. In my head, I thought there would be no way someone would call us as I’ve had horrible luck with customer service recently. Imagine my surprise when just two days later, I received a call from Sarah to inform us new desks had come in that were in great shape! We got a great setup at a fantastic price and with outstanding customer service! Highly impressed and Sarah was great to work with. Will definitely recommend to friends!

If you want great deals and dont mind a little scratch, ( usually you can touch up with a marker) this is the place. Inventory changes weekly so if you see it, buy it. It wont be there later.

Love Ballard and although outlets can be hit or miss - this one if more often a hit! I am most impressed with the staff, especially Sarah!! Many people will be quick to complain but slow to take the time to give credit where credit is due...She has been exceptional in helping me and my husband find what we were looking for and has gone above and beyond. I honestly was shocked how proactive and communicative she was in helping us. She has helped to earn a repeat customer and someone who will recommend ;)

Love stopping in here and getting the bargains. Excellent customer service from Kaye. They keep a waitlist for items to come in and then call you. Its perfect! If you get some free time, stop by and see Dawn in lighting. Everyone is super helpful and kind. Customer service is top notch.

Disappointed, they had a 50% off sale but the original price at a sort of outlet store to get rid of things damaged or left over was ridiculous. They used to do a lot better and had great deals but apparently not anymore.I dont think I will be going back.

Hit and miss but when they have what youre looking for its always a great price. Bought globe lighting, rugs, mirrors, misc decorations from here. Worth stopping by before buying something at Ballards retail price since its the same products from their main store. No returns so better make sure you love it!

This honestly used to be one of our favorite stores for furniture. Recently however, they have started this very interesting policy where there is a hold list to buy certain furniture. This did not used to be the case, if there was a hold on an item the person with the hold got the first option, but if they differed then the customer in the store could buy the item. Now, apparently you can put your name on a list and have them ORDER them item. I am honestly just wondering what the incentive to order out of the catalog is if you can come to the outlet, put your name on a list 9 people long, and order a certain item at outlet price. Strange new policy as we have been shopping here for 20 years and hope they rectify. This is not how outlets work. Hopefully manager Kelly can buy the table shes refusing to sell.

I love Ballard Design’s outlet! I never know what I am going to find there and it’s a wonderful place to explore, hunt, create and dream. The employees are always so helpful and kind.I look forward to seeing them each week when I pop in. They bend over backwards to answer questions and help you solve design dilemmas and difficulties. Lisa, Sara, David, Dawn, Joseph, Kay, Angela and Julia, thank you for being the main reason I love the outlet!!

I appreciate that the manager, Natalie, called me and let me explain the review I had written. The fact that they want to improve the service or at least have employees more aware of how a customer might feel at times shows that they care about the shopper’s experience. I will return to Ballard.

People here are rude especially Sarah. When I came to look at an item that I reserved over the phone, she would not let me go inside the store without being escorted. When I tried to grab my husband so he can check the measurements, she gave me an attitude and wont allow him to go inside with me. I had to wait outside just so he can go and measure it. I understand that they are trying to be safe but she can talk nicely to me without giving me an attitude.

Ballard Designs Outlet is fun walking through seeing all the unique furniture.Plan on spending one or two hours at the Outlet. I believe they said they always have the discount. Even on new deliveries at the beginning of the week.

Get here early!! Great selection of indoor and outdoor items but picked over by early afternoon. New inventory every day.

Always new items to see when I visit. I appreciate their safety measures they have in place to protect customers. This is definitely one of my happy places. I have gotten such great bargains here.

Beware of what you buy! They will tell you that nothing is wrong with it. I purchased a chair and was told it was a return because the buyer did not like it. Got it home and glider did not work. Spoke with Natalie and she said that she tells her employees not to say that. Well they did say that. She is very very rude.

I visited this store on Saturday, February 6, 2021. I arrived around 11:45 am and didn’t enter the store until nearly 1:00 pm. For anyone who has not been to this “outlet” it’s a very large space. However, due to Covid restrictions they’re only allowing 20 peopleIn the store at a time. I understand we are in a pandemic and Covid should be taken seriously, however, this is overkill. The staff is unapologetic and for them to be so worried about Covid, they sure don’t mind getting up in each other’s face to whisper to each other. What a joke. I work in healthcare and I know the dangers of Covid and proper social distancing is beneficial. In my opinion this is more of an attention seeking gimmick so people can see the line wrapped around the store. I mean, the entire store has been 50% off since March 2020, so obviously they’re needing the business. Perfect marketing ploy to make people wait outside. Seems more exclusive. The Gucci outlet in dawsonville does the same thing. Save yourself the time and frustration of this overpriced ikea furniture (yes, the majority of their catalog is made in China) and go to Dawsonville. Restoration hardware, west elm, pottery barn are all there and the prices and quality is much better.

This outlet is trying too hard to make money per item rather than liquidating. I remember visiting and buying alot more items here before covid. But now I feel that I dont really get much a deal on products that are supposed to be priced to sell. I wonder how their turnout on the products are now since they are chasing margins instead of getting rid of unwanted Inventory.

Awesome store! Customer Service is great, everyone tries to help and get you to the items you’re looking for. I’ve always had courteous and knowledgeable staff help me to find the right furniture based on my measurements & needs!

They’re only allowing in 20 people at a time. HUGE warehouse that’s practically empty of shoppers while you wait outside for 30+ min. Be prepared to stand in line while everyone shops. 1 in, 1 out.

The outlet prices compared to 2 years ago have tripled. Harder to find a bargain there lately...$400 per chair AFTER outlet price reduction...OUCH.....I will look around...been there several months in a row.. and the prices are just not reflecting outlet prices compared to others.

Ballards is being overly cautious with how many people they are permitting in their store! Arrived at 2:30 waited for 20 minutes and barely moved in line! To get into the store would probably have been at least another 30 minutes! Not worth that long of a wait! Be sure you have a lot of time to waste before heading here!

Ridiculously long lines and wait times to get in the store regardless of time of day. After being loyal customers or years, I’ve given up making the drive to go given long waits to enter store. Very inefficient and waste of time.

We have been in the process of buying furniture for our remodeled home and now a vacation home. I have been frequenting the Outlet store quite a bit over the last couple of months. During one of my most recent visits I had the pleasure of working with both Julia and David. I walked through the store and spotted all of the items I wanted to buy and Julia was so kind to come around and put hold tags on all of the items. Following that I finally decided to bite the bullet on the Original Home Office furniture. Julia kindly referred me to work with David to pick out all of the items I needed. I had already designed and measured everything previously. He walked me through each of the pieces and patiently helped me pick out the best looking items they had in store. He also took the extra time to find all of the necessary hardware to put all of the pieces together as well as make a list of missing items and their item numbers. Honestly, I put off purchasing the OHO set because it seemed a little overwhelming trying to figure out exactly what I needed.Its always a pleasure shopping at the Ballard Outlet, but my latest experience was exceptional.

Updated:After posting this review, I was contacted twice by both Ballard’s social media team and their customer service department who apologized and inquired for more information. The next time I was in the store and saw Sarah (mentioned in original review), she greeted me and let me know she had been told about my review and apologized for the experience. She assured me Ballard had addressed the concern. That would have been enough. However, about a week later Sarah called me to let me know she had transferred a duvet from another state to the store near me because it was being discontinued and she knew I had been looking for it. She went above and beyond to make sure I knew they appreciated my business. Thank you Sarah and Ballard Design for your kind responses.Original review:I shop with Ballard design pretty regularly. The outlet is convenient for me to stop in to look for items I have been keeping my eye on. I have always had a wonderful experience, until today.One of the managers Sarah is delightful and a joy to work with. She is personable and remembers you and what items you’re looking for. She had been helping me look for a specific style bedding for a child’s room she had convinced me to buy during a sale.Fortunately I found the last piece of bedding I needed today. When I went to purchase it at the register another manager claiming to be Sarah’s “supervisor” told me she was going to “re-educate me.” She was condescending and rude. When I expressed to her I felt disrespected she stood silently watching me check out. I unfortunately didn’t get her name, but I would guess she is in her 50s with shorter blonde hair. I love Ballard design, and this employee does not represent their brand.

Love the bargains but agree you have to be ready not to find what you’re looking for all the time BUT you may find something else you love!

Dont go there when it is raining. We desperately needed help to load some furniture in our vehicle and the staff refused to help us. I am an older man and had to illicit help from strangers to get the items loaded in our vehicle. The company used the lame excuse that they dont want the liability in case their staff slips on the wet pavement. Have you ever thought that if the customer hurt themselves while loading the furniture, they would open themselves up to a lawsuit from the customer? I am saddened that a business uses an excuse like that to prevent helping their customers. If they are that worried, they should just not allow purchases or pickups when it is raining.

You have to visit often as assortment varies. I have gotten some incredible bargains here.

This store is fun to shop. Especially if they have an item they want to move out fast with super cheap prices. Some items are still fairly expensive even when damaged. It is a store you have to shop often to get great deals.

False advertising in store 23 JAN. Multiple signs Assorted Letters All Styles and ALL LETTERS $1, but store would not honor pricing on some letter types. MOD said she was preparing new signs that cited non-$1 letters, so she clearly knew it was a screwup and still didnt make it right. Will not return, and will tell everyone I know.

Overpriced. No deals today. Lured in for 50% off Labor Day sale. Ridiculous! Charging full catalog price for furniture with huge gouges and cabinets with cracked tops / broken doors - so half off is no bargain. What a shame - I drove a long way to get there.Save yourself the trip.
