Awesome spot. Great grab n go prepared foods. But they need to check their freshness. I keep finding past due food. They are putting a week expiration date on things. No! 3 days. Make less product, just more often. Other than that, great food. But fresh please

Really great selection. A wide variety from different nationalities. Found things that you just cant normally find in US based store.Found a lot of treats that I havent had since I was a kid. So a bit of a nostalgia kick there

Of all the Asian stores in Rochester, this is the one I prefer. The store is very clean and organized, so its easy to find what I need. The produce is fresh, and theres a wide variety of groceries. I especially enjoy the cooked food. My family tried the fried fish and roasted chicken. Both were delicious! This is definitely my go-to store for my Asian grocery needs

This is one of the best places in Rochester to get fresh fruit and veggies, spices, and snacks. Their produce looks like it is grown locally and the cost cant be beat (ex. $3 for 10-12 baby boy choy). Plus, the staff will answer your questions on anything. They helped me find schezuan peppercorns and recommended a specific brand, and I wanted the best brand of noodle for fresh spring rolls and they pointed me in the right direction. Highly recommend.

For somewhere who doesnt know much about assign Asian food it was overwhelming. I went in for two specific things. They were very helpful. I Spent quite a bit of time just browsing to get a better feel of what is available. I will likely go back.

Ive been shopping at the Asian Food Store for 13 or 14 years. The owners are great people. If you like to explore food products that you wont find in other stores, this is the place to come. They have products that I keep coming back for even though Ive now moved 5hrs away. When I do stop in for those prized items, I always try to check out something new.

This place has some of my favorite snacks, instant noodles, sauces, and frozen products. Some products disappear for a while and are frequently restocked with time. I dont typically buy vegetables here but sometimes there are certain veggies I miss from home that Ill occasionally get. The owner is very friendly and always helpful.

They are very accommodating if you cant find what your looking for and they will find it and get it into their store for you. There is off-street parking as well.

The worst customer service ever. From the boss to worker. Rude. They act like they don’t need your service. If there is a ratings from -1 to -10, I would give them a -10 that’s how bad there customers service is. Recommend to no one. They are selling rotten fruits and vegetables.

Hidden gem in downtown Rochester. My wife had to throw herself out, so she wouldnt spend our life savings on the weird little Asian spices, and foods they have. Well be back.

They are selling bad vegetables which they think those are good. This only happened on this store. They didn’t appreciate the customer when customer brought back the bad vegetables. They tried to argue with me that vegetables are good.

Never buy your Asian foods at a normal grocery store! Asian Food Store has everything you could find at a Walmart and more at a FRACTION of the price! Also has an amazing housewares room.

Best selection of Japanese and Asian food in Rochester. The store can sometimes seems kind of cluttered as they can have boxes of product sitting out, but it is never dirty, which is more than I can say for other Asian markets Ive been too. Also the staff is always very friendly.

The Asian Food Store staff are really helpful, the selection (especially the vegetarian options) is very good. One of the big surprises was finding Cafe Du Monde Coffee and Chicory on the shelves. This is a great store to have in our community.

Not a good store for Asian *food unless you only come to buy ramen noodles. I agree with the reviewer below, I have found maggots in food too. Their inventory is old and the food spoils easily. I bought a jar of mixed fruit (sugar plums, jackfruit, coconut strips, red beans) for Che, it was disgusting. The red beans were hard as rocks and the fruits were squishy and disintegrating. I will never go back to this store.

Great! The store is packed full of strange products I cant read. But the staff helped me get what I was looking for. Even fixed my grocery list for my recipe. Who knew there were different kinds of fish sauce! Silly gweilo!

Bad service. If I could, I hoped I could give zero star. The food is never fresh. Always say its good, thats good but when it wasnt good, couldnt return. Feel like spend stupid money and waste time. The employees are unfriendly, feel likes I went there to get free, didnt need to spend money. The worst experience at that store, and never want to come back there anymore.

Ive been looking for Kimchi and miso broth paste for a bit here in Rochester and I dont want to have to drive to the cities to buy things. There are so many things to choose from. It can be hard to find things though because most things are not in english, but the service totally goes above and beyond. I have ask multiple time for recamendations for what to use in recipes and every time they have given me something good.

If you dont typically go to Asian grocery stores, you should really step into one sometime - they have so many things that you just wouldnt ever see in a conventional grocery store. We regularly go to this one for lemongrass, bean sprouts, and dried shiitakes - astoundingly better prices for these items at an Asian grocery store where they are considered standard stock items, compared to a conventional grocery store where they are considered exotic.

I get some indian grocery here too like galka mooli lauki

If only there was Korean soondubu stew stock...that aside, the kimchi is the best around.

Its like H Mart.. meat, fish, noodles veggies etc. But one suggestion to store, plz clean the meat & fish places. But at Rochester area, good.
