Poor customer service. I went to Maaco, received an estimate of approximately $2,000. When I went to drop it off, another employee came out and looked at my car and said it would cost around $10,000 to paint my vehicle (no actual repairs needed). I understand that people make mistakes, but that is a dramatic change in price. Then they said that they didnt even want to touch my vehicle because they would have to take it all apart to paint it. In the end, I took it to another paint shop and they are repainting the entire car for $1800.

I have a 2008 model Cadillac with tinted tricot red metallic paint. I needed just the roof painted because of fading. I arrived and was promptly and cheerfully greeted by Drew. True friendly professional!! Within minutes he gave me a fair estimate and explained what they would do. Drew phoned me a day early and said it was ready. They did an awesome five star job!! Paint looks just like factory and is gorgeous and matches perfectly as well. They even washed the car and detailed it. This is exactly how business should be done. Awesome A+++++ all the way around. Had a great experience here, highly recommend. Called the day before to ask about a service I required, and I was given periods of times to come in so I wouldn’t experience any delay. Showed up the next day and my mirror was changed in less than 10 minutes for no cost. The man (Jake, I believe) was extremely nice and was able to help me with all my needs. I would definitely recommend Maaco and will be going back for any further needs.

For the online quote I received from them I may as well go somewhere else. What ever happened to the special that theyve run for years? Must do better Maaco.

I had some bodywork done and decided to change the color of my 2012 car. I was given a fair quote and was pleasantly surprised at how great the end product was. I was helped by Ray and he was professional and friendly (although they do not wear masks inside). I wish he had gone into more detail about the different levels of paint jobs they provide. I had to ask for a higher grade which was still a good deal. The turnaround time was quick. I am very satisfied and would recommend Maaco in Scott’s Addition.

Maaco did the job, but it wasn’t the best experience. They left all this powder on the inside of the car, and it smelled strongly of paint for a few days. I went in for a rear quarter repair, and I also had them touch up a surface scratch elsewhere on the car. Rather than repaint the scratch, they just applied a surface sealant, so the scratch is still visible. No one in the business was following the statewide mask mandate, which I wouldn’t make a big deal about, but it was just the icing on the cake of an underwhelming experience.

It has been nearly 3 months since I paid for a mid-grade paint job and rust fender repair from this place. Your paint job will look awesome when it is first done but the warranty of this place is a scam. Paid up to mid-grade cause I was told the warranty was 2 years. Originally my paint job with rust repair was 1,200. Got a call mid-way saying it would be more so I said okay and went along with it, about 2,000ish was the total. Ever since I have been back every other month to have them correct the shoddy paint job they did. Not even a year in with a 2 year warranty and they said they will not fix the imperfections their shoddy paint job was. Beware this place. First of all I shouldnt have to come back like every other month to fix fading/chipping/peeling off my paint when I spend about 2 grand here. Second dont offer warranties if you cant fix any of the two in the pictures here. I should really contact corporate for the false advertisement and unwillingness to honor the warranty that is stated on the receipt they gave me when I paid for this paint job. I only came here at first due to a friend recommending me here but I deeply regret coming here, would have rather spent my money at Bruces or something to get a REAL paint job done by REAL professionals.

Im only giving 5 stars because Ray went above and beyond for my white Lexus! It took almost 2 weeks... lol...My car continued to peel although Lexus dealership reports no recalls and Ray stripped and painted it twice.Thanks Ray for restoring my car back to its natural color!

What a wonderful experience! From the beginning to the end, these guys were hospitable. They were very courteous, provided explanations on the process to have the part installed in my vehicle and charged a fair price for the work performed. Initially, the incorrect part was ordered but they were prompt in later ordering the right part. The part did take longer to arrive than expected but it arrived the same day and in time for me to carry on with the rest of my plans for the day. They apologized for the mix ups and were just so easy to work with. I noted how they treated all of the customers that came in and EVERYBODY received the same courteous treatment. I would definitely do business with them again!

Ive been here twice. Thought service was great. Had my 1989 F150 painted and some body work done. Truck turned out really nice. Also had some cabinets painted there. I thought all work was professional and I was very pleased. Definitely will go back again.

It wasn’t explained clear enough that they wouldn’t get all the dings out of my door . When work was done they tried to go back and charge me more to fix dings when in the beginning it was suppose to be included.

I love my car but wasnt a little disappointed to see that the Trim around my doors,windows and wipers wasnt painted. The clerk didnt explain that when he gave me the price for the car. I thought that was all inclusive. Had he told me it wasnt I would have told them to paint it and inside the door jams. Good customer service is letting the customer know that ahead of time and giving them the choice to have it done or not. Its called selling My car looks good but if that had been done it would look great. It would be a big inconvenience to come back and have it done now.

I was trying to get my Fender painted the same color as the rest of my car but even after they saw my car they did not match the same paint! When I finally got the car back with the fender on it, I was extremely unhappy and told that it would get better over time and after I buff the rest of the car. It is no better!!

Ray said he would get us great results and he did indeed. The staff at Maaco was very pleasant and the service was great. The car has a lot of work but came out great!!

I took my 1967 Ford truck to Jake and the crew for a much needed makeover. My truck needed a lot of body work in addition to paint. I wasnt willing to pay for show quality work, but wanted a nice looking driver quality job. These guys delivered exactly what I asked for and did so on schedule! Jake went the extra mile and kept me up to speed on the progress with texts and photos. He is very contentious and honest. These guys are AWESOME!! After having gotten estimates for hundreds of dollars to have my spoiler repaired on my Toyota, I took it to Maaco on West Broad. If it wasnt for Jacob, I wouldve been out hundreds of dollars!!! They saved me a ton of money and time!! If I ever need auto body repair again, hands down Im going back to them!! The paint job was excellent. I would have given a 5 star rating but when I inquired about touch up paint, the info I received was not corrected.

Was quoted and paid for a complete paint job of my entire truck. That apparently did not include the bed of my truck. Also sincerely appreciated the trash left in the cab. The smell of the mango V8 energy drink was an added bonus to my disappointment.

Waited a lilttle over a week to review so if there was a honeymoon or anger phase it would be over.Got a fender replaced and a badly needed paint job. It looks excellent, fresh off the lot good. I was given a timeline and a quote before the work and it was done within that time and exactly at the quoted price, cant ask for more then that.Downside is the placards of the model and package on the back of the car are gone and Im pretty sure the make is in the wrong place. Dont know if it was forgotten or something else because I wasnt told. This doesnt bother me but it is a flaw. Also there is two small drips of paint on my plastic grill, barely noticable.Overall, great work, great price, I will go back if needed, and I would recommend this place to others.

This is the worst place to ever get a paint job!!! They broke the cowl on my 2009 Pontiac G8. Paint was left on the fenders and mirrors... they used double side tape to hold the cowl down. They never put the G8sign back on the trunk of my car.. The wing on the trunk flaps.... I paid well over 1000 dollars only for them to destroy my car.... thank you MAACO.... you really are the worst!!!!!

Took old 1997 Jeep Cherokee in on a Tuesday afternoon. It looked horrible......peeling clear coat, scratches, dull, filth that no longer washed off, some black stuff along the sides that I have no idea what it was. Picked car up on Friday (1 day early) and didn’t recognize the car. Looked brand new again. Quality job, affordable price, great service. What more could you ask for. Exceeded my expectations!

My experiences with Maaco service is excellent but their overall wait time is to pronounced in my first two paint jobs took 3 weeks.And the Collison repair work took a estimated 11days of time frame.Its hard to understand the long delay especially when you only have one vehicle to maintain in your fast pace lifestyle.And it makes it tougher when their aim is to continue to do the applied work but at a longer stance.Thats not good everything should be done with precision,efficiency,achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort of quality time.Service work should be categorized to the size of the work intended & not by which car came in first.It need to be a Structure to get each car in definition fast with priority an to assure that in doing so there isnt a blockage in cars just idling sitting unnecessarily.Theses are matters of great concern.Everyone might not prefer to get a Rental car from their insurance carrier but tbey may have to choose to call someone or directly dispatch for a Taxi cab to deliver them from their place of business and return them later for their vehicle returned pick-up.Please do consider each customer with courtesy& diligence with practicing time management while accomplishing their goals,whether personal,professional or academic.Being diligent is an essential skill in all aspects of Life.Especially when you maintain focus and self discipline.One thing for sure we all have places to go. And it definitely comes to some as a preferred privilege who understand the defined meaning of being a Valid driver.Of importance.Anything else is considered a waste of ample time.Theres got to be a better system in order to keep loyal customers coming back again & again.Lets consider! Maaco ordered a new bumper for my Kia and painted it to match the body color. They said theyd have it ready for me by Tuesday and sure enough it was ready Tuesday morning. The staff was nice and informative. My only complaint is how dirty the car was when I picked it up. The top of the bumper was lined with a thick layer of crudd, most of which I couldnt wipe or scrub off, and the entire drivers (seat, stearing wheel, floor mat...)was covered in dirt. It wouldve been a perfect experience if they had cared enough to clean up behind themselves.

Got a bumper painted and installed. Brought bumper in to be painted on a Friday, brought the car in to have the bumper installed the next Monday, and picked up the car Monday evening. Employees were professional and very helpful, and paint matched exactly.

My rating would absolutely be five stars if I had written it after I picked up my car. I had rust damage fixed on the left rear wheel well. The job on the rust was superb and you couldnt even tell it was ever there. After I washed my car however, I opened my back door and noticed they never put all of the interior moulding back on the door frame and my car was soaking wet inside. I called the office to let them know of this and they offered an apology and to fix the moulding (obviously something I can do myself). So if you have work done make sure you do a full inspection and not just look at the repaired site. Not to mention the interior of the car where they removed the moulding was smudged with dirt everywhere and they didnt bother cleaning up after themselves. Great job on the rust repair but 1* POOR for the person who didnt finish the job.

I was recently in an accident that left my bumper almost completely unattached. The guys at Maaco replaced the bumper, bumper support and painted for a very reasonable price. Travis even took the extra time to change a blown fuse so that my tail lights worked properly at no additional charge, and provided an invoice stating that my tail lights had been fixed (recently got pulled over for them not working, oops). Great work and fantastic customer service!

I replaced my front bumper for my 2012 Honda Accord. They painted it well but they are not fixed it correctly. Still I can find some gap on the bumper. When I asked about it.. they said this is Max they can do ....cost.. its cheaper ... But work is not satisfied

If you need an inexpensive paint job for your older car, this is the place. No frills but the job got done. After 8 months, the paint job still looks great.

Nick stayed late on a Friday night to complete the work on our car. He was committed to getting the job done right and ensuring we were satisfied with the work. They were able to fix the bad paint job that Honda refused to.

Came here a couple months ago looking to fix my headlight that kept going out. I dont know anything about cars except how to drive them, these guys spent around an hour looking through my fuses to find the one that was broken. Ran across the street to grab the fuse I needed and they put the new one in for me while showing me how to do it in case it happened again. Today Travis helped me call around to find a shop that could get me inspected ASAP. They have helped me kindly everytime Ive come in, even if its not a service they offer. These guys are awesome so definitely will be back if I ever need anything else!

The best Maaco in Richmond is the Hull Street one. I brought in my car today for an estimate at this W. Broad street location and they quoted me $1,050. I then drove down the Hull st location and they quoted me $750 for the same job! Thats 28.5% in savings or $300 off for the same job at the same company! Why the difference? Because these locations are franchises with different owners. If you want to save tons of money while getting the job done right (albeit at a slow pace) then go to the Hull st location instead.

WE HAD THE $300 PAINT JOB DONE ON A USED VEHICLE WE PURCHASED. THE WORK WAS FINE AND WE HAVE HAD NO ISSUES. HOWEVER, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEYD REMOVED THE STICKER FROM THE BACK OF THE CAR BEFORE THEY PAINTED IT.

Do not get your car painted here! Paint falling off car after 1 month! Had my car three times and paint job is still screwed up. They wont fix or refund my money. Filing civil claim in the AM. They will blame their horrible work on anything except the painterUpdate- The Maaco on Hull street seen the horrible job that Jacob and his crew did and helped me and repainted the whole car over again for me. Again I have had cars painted at the Staples mill location and Hull street and both locations where curtious and did a excellent job. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!! They will ruin your car
