Although I have had mixed experiences in the past with this home depot and havent been there in over a year we decided to go buy a dishwasher recently and I just wanted to mention Sam (our associate) by name.... When I called the day before about delivery (Had not heard from the 3rd party delivery service the day before expected delivery) not only did he give me the number to call myself he actually called and spoke with them while I was on hold to make sure he got me confirmed! Above and beyond especially in this day and age where customer service is severely lacking it was awesome to receive that level of service locally - thanks again Sam we will be back just because of you!

I met an amazing employee..... Will Smith I believe he said his name was.... He helped me find what I was looking for and then walked me to the next area I needed to go. Gave me advice on what drill to buy, then helped the next woman waiting for his time. What an amazing employee. I always get great service at Home Depot but he was just amazing.

Great staff when I finally found someone to help me which is my own fault getting the barely before closing but the guy came from the back n luckily he knew where to find rechargeable solar batteries and was EXTREMELY helpful n knew his stuff Thank u so much ... Wish I didnt have to pay $13 for 2 batteries that so far dont even keep light on 2 hours stay tuned.... May b returning them

Im fortunate to be able to find the things I need for home projects here. Ive had o issues getting help, but there are times employees are hard to find but thats only because they are super busy working.

Good for common woods, cabinets, and has reasonable prices but despite its large size has a minimal selection of items and the staff is not particularly knowledgeable. Carries mostly low price, lower end items.. Good parking and location.

Helpful woman in the garden center sent me to the right place. They didnt have succulent potting soil but did have perlite so Ill mix that with standard potting soil. Went home with what I needed.

HD just installed 10 windows in my house. I am impressed with the effort and follow up HD does to ensure I was satisfied with the product and the installation itself. The installers were very professional and they took their time to install each window. This is the second time I call d HD for windows installation. The first time was 5 years ago and no I am still a happy customer.

Pretty well run Home Depot. Lumber choice does often leave something to be desired.

Check the price at check out. Everytime, there is always a discrepancy with the price shown and what it rings up at. The lumber is moist, moldy, & warped that pressure treated wood. I even saw earwigs crawling.

They had what we were looking for at a price we were willing to pay. We even got a bottle of water while we waited. The employees were even courteous and helpful.

It may be convenient but whenever i shop there i realize that im sort of forced to as small businesses cannot compete with these mega stores who: 1. stock their stores with products coming from China. 2. put profit before people. the only people making money are the shareholders, they have people working for peanuts. 3. they support causes I do not agree with: home depot gives money to gay pride parade events. 4. have put the small shops out of business long ago as they have a complete dominance over the supply chain. Home Depot is a great convenience...but it damages our freedom in removing small businesses and strengthening communist China with a non-stop revenue stream right into Beijing. The prices are not cheap either.

This place is usually great but why at 7pm an hour before closing its acting as if its already closed. Lumber section shut down, only self check out which is a free for all. Very little help me.

Love that I can bring my dog in. Wasnt happy with employees trying to rial up my dog. I want my dog to be able to shop with me without interrupting my dogs focus at behavior.

If you are thinking about buying appliancesthis is not the best place; They have many on display that you can not even order, then the delivery date is a nightmare after they called to comfirm the date, the day before they canceled saying something went wrong with the truck, and they will try and get it delivered by the next day. The next day I got an email from Home Depot giving another delivery date a week from that day. You go to their website, and they wont even let you cancel the order. Home Depot has ways to go regarding good customer service.

Nice store, garden center was loaded with many annual and perennial offerings.

Very disappointed i bought a brand new washer and dryer. Used the washer 1 and the lid lock stopped working. Its covered under warranty. They cant come out about 3 1/2 weeks to look at it. Meanwhile I have to pay for something I cant use.

If you are ever looking for assistance in this home depot you are better off asking another shoppers small child or maybe even a service dog. Each person will tell you where something is, each answer will be different, but non will be correct. Once you finally find the correct area for your desired item its a 50/50 chance it will be out of stock. Home depot, if youre listening, maybe you should train your employees better. Im sure its just as frustrating for them as it is for us.

Ive never really had much of an issue in Home Depot Pittsfield. Everything Ive needed has either been in stock or available online and the staff there has always been very friendly and pleasant to me personally. Not sure why this home depot gets dumped on as much as it does.

Amazingly helpful and friendly staff. We have been just about living there for the past 7 months; we can honestly say, weve never had a better experience at home depot as we have here!

As far as Home Depots go this one isnt stocked well; However in its defense it does have the largest selection of any other comparable stores in the area.This particular store would have rated a 2 star score if it werent for the helpful and full of character characters working in it. Conversely, it would have rated 4 stars, had it not been for a few severely deficient employees whos lacking of tool and hardware knowledge combined with enough of their numbers to ensure 1 or 2 at least will always be on duty when you visit.Let me put it this way, I once went shopping for a spring rake... Your basic rake, and a replacement handle for a garden rake and the employee I was asking for direction to them informed me they didnt have any spring rakes as well as telling me they had no idea what that was nor knew the difference between the two. I also got confused looks when using the terms, grass rake and even leaf rake.... Its a rake... Theres only a few main kinds... You work in a hardware store... I dont expect every employee to know every little thing about al the stock in a hardware store... But the basics.. Who works at a hardware store... The biggest chain in the area and hasnt handled a rake or a shovel... Or even a hammer.Over all, the good staff makes up for it and they have a few people there with real experienced real life helpful knowledge.The store is at least kept clean and fairly orderly and the lines have never kept me waiting too long.

The only good thing about home depot is the cheap stuff, and unfortunately the prices of building material is ridiculous right now. So they really have nothing. The staff is clueless and the management could care less. Stop in and you will probably see a group of 4-8 employees standing around chatting or staring blankly into theyre phones.

Tonight my wife and i were looking at vertical blinds. There was a young man helping us along with another employee. Im not sure what this young mans name was. He says to my wife...are you a teacher? ( and actually my wife is) she says...yes i am! How did you know that? Then he proceeds to say to my wife. So the kids call you minnie mouse because of your voice. My wife just looked at him. Very disrespectful to a customer. My wife was very upset so we did not finish our purchase.

Was next in line at a cash register and the system crashed.... All the self check outs were packed I left my stuff and walked out

You been to one, you know whats there. Huge hardware store with i giant garden section, and furniture stuff.

Big box stores get a lot of negative press but the people at the Pittsfield HD make it really enjoyable to do business there.

I stopped in on 12/4 for the purchase of a large household item and I cannot say enough how courteous and helpful their staff were. Several workers helped me haul the item, one worker unsolicited broke the box open to check for damages as a precaution before I made my purchase, and very friendly helpful service at the register when I checked out as well. After an attendant took the time to try to help me load the item in the vehicle, we realized it would not fit. Therefore, my item required a brief layaway as I needed a larger vehicle to bring the item to my house. When I returned several hours later to retrieve my item it was labeled with my name and quickly ready to go out the door. The holidays tend to be a busy and stressful time for retail workers and consumers. The fact that this staff was so diligent and helpful during this time speaks volumes about the service culture in this store. They made obtaining a large ticket item during a hectic time of an unprecedented year so seamless!

Dont go shopping before 9am if you want ANY help from a single employee.All employees seem to disregard you and not want anything to do with customers early in the morning. EVEN if you yell full volume in store that you need help, nobody will come.

Prices and selection of mostly imported and so so quality items. Surprised that almost nothing in the store is made in America. Except Plastic and copper pipe... Sad state of affairs, but competitive prices compared to Mom and Pop hardware stores on the same Products.

Nice to have around, but lumber is especially lousy selection right now…most of the so-called “prime” lumber is as bad as what I used to pick off the discount cart.

Im an artist, so I go in there with a lot of strange questions and weird requests, yes, Ive had them scratching their heads a few times but we always manage to come up with something. The sales associates are always nice and very helpful. Thanks everyone, I appreciate your efforts

I had been shopping at this home Depot for years. Spent thousands of dollars. But today they got to me. I was looking for special tool. The kid in the tool department had no idea what that tool was. On the way out I picked up some items on sale. They didnt show the right price at the self checkout. The stocky girl at the self checkout, Tabitha, started arguing with me. Didnt want to go across the aisle to see items on sale. So I went back took two photos of the items and brought it to her. That did not convince her so she called that same kid from the department. then he went back checked it out came back and told her the price I was trying to get. All this time (20 min or so) she never apologized once, only trying to rationalize her behavior. On the way out I was leaving through a different entrance.I was stopped by another girl who demanded to see the receipt and inside of my bag.Now this is what service means today at home Depot.

Went in to make copies of three keys, came out to just under 8 bucks. Only took about 10 minutes, service was prompt and copies done right.

Its home depot. The parking lot is small and tight.

Not as big as surrounding cities and they dont have rental tools here which is a pick let down. However, time and time again H.D. has come through with their late hours, and helpful staff (when you can find one). It seems at this location when you actually need help you have to look for it.

Fast and curtious service.

Consistently rude staff who are next to useless in customer service and inventory knowledge. Its never their department and they never know how to help you. If it wasnt for product selection this perticular store would fail. Secret shopper time from corporate both online and in person and I guarantee new staff would be hired quickly.

This is a very clean Home Depot and I was able to find was looking for without having to dig through the shelves, which is a problem at other Home Depot locations that I’ve been to. Prices tend to be a little bit cheaper than Lowes, so I choose this location for my needs. It does close at 10 PM, but I guess we can’t have everything

Worst Pro Desk Ive ever used. One person working & is slow as a turtle. I thought the point of the Pro Desk was to make it more convenient for contractors

We will always find a bad apple or two in a bunch, but overall, our Home Depot has some of the most sincere, considerate, and effective employees Ive ever dealt with.
