Stephanie Bianco was the best, helping my wife and I figure out exactly what tile would be appropriate for our cabinets and countertop. She has a great eye for texture and color, someone who we were happy to have on our team.

This place was a great resource for helping me redo my kitchen floors. The salesperson, Myles, was the best and made my buying experience super easy. Highly recommend this place but more importantly recommend talking to Myles while you are there!

I dont often write reviews, but when an experience goes above and beyond all expectations, I feel inspired to spread the word and acknowledge folks who deserve to be recognized for their hard work. I needed to replace some hardwood flooring in my house and the previous owners kindly shared their purchase details with me so I would be able to match what they had previously installed. I reached out to Avalon Flooring and, fortunately, Stephanie Blanco was the sales associate who answered my call. I relayed to Stephanie all of the information from the previous homeowners, but remarked that the hardwood flooring downstairs -- although reported to be the same as what was upstairs -- had slightly more contrast between the white oak and dark knots, which I preferred. I asked if it would be possible for my order to more closely match what was installed downstairs. At that point, any other sales associate might have told me that they cannot guarantee exactly what they will receive from the vendor. Instead, Stephanie was much more thorough, searching through transactions from years ago to first verify that the previous homeowners had, in fact, used the same flooring throughout the house. Stephanie was able to determine that the previous homeowners had placed two separate orders on two separate dates for the same type of flooring, which could have accounted for the slight variation in appearance. Stephanie requested photos of what my floors look like upstairs and downstairs in order to get clarification from the vendor and see what my options were. I was so shocked and impressed by that kind offer. Stephanie spoke with the vendor and, while the vendor could not make any guarantees for me, I at least had the option to order a sample (which, in the end, I did not end up doing). I was satisfied to at least have the knowledge that there was only one style of hardwood flooring installed throughout my house, so that what I planned to order would be a reasonable match for the preexisting flooring. Stephanie remained communicative throughout the order process and made sure I was aware of all policies and procedures as well as the expected timeline from the vendor. Coordinating the pickup of the order was just as seamless as placing the order and I could not have been more pleased with how beautiful the flooring looked; it matched the upstairs and downstairs flooring flawlessly and did have some of the higher contrast that I favored. Recently, I reached out to Avalon Flooring to ask another question and Stephanie was so enthusiastic to hear that I was pleased with the order and even asked me to send photos! Stephanie really went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a customer, which has made me feel confident about selecting Avalon Flooring as the retailer for all of my future home renovation needs. The sales floor was very accommodating and personable. Sadly the young woman in the front couldnt find the customer I was picking up material for. She directed me to the commercial side. The lady was nasty. I am hearing impaired and she had no consideration. I said I was picking up for Rock Development. She said there is no Rock Development just Rock Construction. It was the way she said it. The other sales person had the credit card info and not her and it was strenuous for her to look it up with the customer on the phone who has seven credit cards on file and manages a hundred and thirty properties. When the credit card information was sorted out she told me to go back there. Back where? There was a hall to get to the warehouse to pull product. Of course there was no one there. The guy couldnt even find the materials. I had to find myself. His answer was they were in wrong place. As a professional tile setter, I think they have good products but bad customer service and I wouldnt be using them!

I worked with Louis and in a matter of moments he solved my problems that I tried sourcing at numerous other tile/grout shops in Philadelphia. I only wish I would have come here first.I needed to see some grout options for my bathroom renovation. After picking the grout, Louis assisted me with all the calculations and made sure I would have the grout in a few days time. In addition, Louis helped me find some backup options for my shower flooring as I had purchased a large 10 hex tile and wanted to see options for a smaller tile. He found me a perfect match tile, same glazed porcelain, but in a 3 hex.Overall, great options at the new Avalon store and wonderful customer service!

I had runners installed on 3 winding stairwells, surely a difficult challenge, but from selection, purchasing, measuring, and installing, the entire process went smoothly, efficiently, and beautifully. I have been working on and off with Anna Marks at the Columbus BLVD. location and previously as well from her NJ store. I have had continuously good response and good service from her. She is honest and has a good strong opinion when needed. My highlight should be noted when a manufacture could not (for some reason) get me the 39 of nosing for our latest project, a row-home for a ADA client. Anna, continued to provide information and monitoring of the material, but it came to no avail. I had to make a decision and cancel the order, Anna handled it immediately. With that I received a call from the store manager the next day apologizing and noting that we stand behind our clients. I appreciated his sincere nature and stated that it is critical that we all serve our client well, especially in these NEW times.... He offered a kind accommodation which I felt was NOT needed but he insisted ...Let me end with this: (first off this is the first time Ive cared to or wanted to provide a critiques of vendors) It is when things get difficult or problematic that the true nature of a company, employee, person comes through, and with that I can only assume that Avalon as a company has put in place policy that encourages their employees to be respectful and considerate to their customers... I dealt with Anna when I was shopping for window treatments. The initial company I dealt with quoted exorbitant prices and Anna walked me through their quote. Because of her explanations, I was able to have the other company come down to a much more reasonable number but Annas professionalism and assistance is what got me there. During those years I’ve purchased floor tiles, bath wall tiles, kitchen backsplash tiles, hardwood flooring, area rugs, and most recently custom window treatments. I have always been completely satisfied with every experience starting with the sales associates, customer service, products, scheduling, and installations! If I could give them a 10 star rating I definitely would!I’ve had several different associates that have provided excellent customer service but I can’t offer enough praise for Randi Lauer, at the Columbus Blvd location. Since I’ve moved into a condo in Philadelphia she helped me with the design and selection of gorgeous tiles for a complete bath remodel and beautiful glass tiles that produced a stunning kitchen backsplash. Additionally I’d like to mention that in both of these projects it’s not just picking “ a tile”. There’s all the many accompanying pieces, accent pieces, even the paint selection for the walls to coordinate with the tiles! In both of the above projects there was not one error in the ordering process. All correct pieces ordered, nothing forgotten because Randi thinks of everything... grout, sealer, etc, with virtually no waste! My most recent project was window treatments for what I’ve called my biggest nightmare windows! I started my search with a highly rated designer from a highly rated local design firm recommended by a neighbor. I was totally unimpressed. I didn’t even realize Avalon had window treatments, until another neighbor informed me. Thankfully Randi was at the service desk when I arrived and started her magic! Working only with some I phone photos, she completely transformed my living room with her selections! She spent several hours with me on several occasions selecting the actual type of treatment, the colors, fabric, mechanicals, etc. After everything was decided, the person who measures arrived and determined that due to some construction issues the treatment would not be possible! The very next day I met with Randi again and once again I walked out of Avalon, a very happy customer! The window treatments were just recently installed and I am 100% satisfied! I LOVE them!! I’ve never written a review before. I know this is wordy but I hope someone will find it helpful. Do not hesitate to shop at Avalon ! Ask for Randi... she’s awesome!!

Dont waste your time with them. They dont honor receipts, they are ignorant, everytime you call and need service you are passed around between sales reps who take your info and never call you back. I have been trying to pick up an order I placed 10 days ago and they still cant locate it. Check out Floor and Decor way better selection, way better customer service, way better experience. I WISH I ordered my flooring from them originally but since ordered my back splash and can highly recommend them.

About our experience buying blinds for our house. Quick summary is that this is a middle man company which deals with other middle men, adding up to poor service, misinformation and taking 3 or 4 times to get it almost right after lots of prodding...As many folks have mentioned, Angela, the salesperson is very nice and tries to be helpful; the problem is that she simply doesnt know her products well and then keeps busy selling but wasnt able to be helpful once there was any confusion about our order. We were told they didnt have a blind in a kind which they did; she just never called the producer. When the folks came to install after 2 months after writing our contract, they didnt bring all the blinds, a couple were cut wrong. After installing some of them, they left some cords dangling all the way to the floor (despite obviously having little kids at home...) and installed many of them backwards (standard vs reverse rolls) despite it all being meticulously spelled out in the contract. Again nice folks, but not familiar with our products in depth, did not really review what the contract was instructing them to do, and when they didnt bring all the materials, they would just say well thats all I could find at the warehouse in your name.If you want to have someone install blinds, make sure they are familiar with the products and know the details. As usual, thats what counts in getting it done right and done efficiently.
