Brought my Chrysler 200 in because I was hearing noises from the front tires and after tires plus told me I needed to have my struts replaced and that my wheel bearings were fine I had an appointment with J&R the next day, needless to say my wheel bearings were bad and my struts and shocks were fine and J&R found the true problem and fixed it within 24hrs with an unbeatable price that you won’t find anywhere else. J & R Auto Service, Inc became our favorite auto repair business in 2000 when my job had me out of town often and we needed their expertise immediately in many cases. They always came through for us. We have been loyal ever since and have sent many people their way in the past 21 years.

The people at J&R are always professional and courteous. They check with me when they find a problem I wasnt aware of, and theyre always careful to let me know about time needed for the work.

Dropped vehicle off with NO notice and they got my Jeep in and fixed in just one day! Also ended up paying way less than quoted for quality work.

Have utilized J & R 3 times in the past year for my college-age sons car. Im from out of state and chose J & R solely based on their excellent reviews. They have been extremely helpful and very responsive to our needs, even supplying towing when necessary. They are informative and thorough. I never felt taken advantage of as an out of state consumer dealing with over the phone business. As a parent, I worry about auto repairs with a college student. But I felt J & R were honest and provided quality, timely service on an older model vehicle. Hopefully the vehicle is now in better condition and we wont need repairs anytime soon. But if we did, I wouldnt hesitate to call them for help.

I highly recommend J&R Auto Service based on a recent experience in the shop. I needed two new tires, rear pads and some other small items. I got my car back in timely fashion, everything was 100% done right. Ive worked on a lot of my own cars over the years but now as I get older and the cars are more complicated, I know where I can trust to take my car. Katie was invaluable in getting me scheduled and also picking out the right tires for my vehicle. Lastly Ive had issues taking a BMW to some of the local shops around here, not this one. Ive never felt compelled to get online and write a review but had to after my experience. I have an old Jeep CJ7 that hadnt been running well at all and was new to the area. Found J and R online and gave them a call. They were able to get me in almost right away. I went to start the jeep and it wouldnt run. They arranged the towing and had a driver there within an hour to pickup the jeep. They had my jeep in and out the same day. Kept the price down and were honest with what they found. Will absolutely be a life long customer with them and recommend to anyone looking for a good honest repair experience.

Over the last 20 years I have used J&R for my car and for my companies fleet of cars and trucks, Because we are a 24/7 business we needed to repair and get our vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible.. Not only did they make sure we got our vehicles back on the road but on many occasions made arrangements to deliver our vehicles back to our office.The main reason we selected them for maintenance was because of their honesty. Have been a business and personal customer of J&R Auto for over fifteen years and the services provided have always been excellent. Prices are fair and comparable to similar businesses in the area. They are a customer focused business. The staff is friendly and will take time to explain any problems or concerns you may have. They will call and provide an explanation of services and estimate on cost prior to any servicing. On occasions I have had to drop my vehicle off without an appointment and they rearranged their schedule to service it. Another feature is the drop off box which makes it easy for customers who are not on a typical 8-5 business day to drop their vehicle off for service. Because of the excellent service and customer focused staff, we will continue to use J&R as our primary care service business in the future.

They saved my wife and I in a major pinch. While working down in Oshkosh my wife’s BMW broke down. 5 minutes before closing I called J&R and they picked up my car right away! Less than 24hrs later we had the keys back in our hands and were driving our car back home!They were very professional, helpful, and didn’t try to sell anything we didn’t need!

Honest mechanics do exist! Sounds crazy, but true! Weve been coming here for the last six years. Always had great luck with J&R. No problems. Fair pricing. Really quick service. And theyre organized and keep good records.In fact, J&R has never tried to upsell maintenance/parts to us.Nor have they ever found additional problems once the car was in their shop being serviced. Just the opposite actually. At least twice they have talked us OUT of doing unnecessary service; when they could have easily used scare tactics and lined their own pockets. Our first time there, they replaced a part for about $450 total ... where as Bergstrom was trying to charge me a grand!!! Give them a try! (Or dont... I like not having to wait long ;-) )

2003 Ford Windstar (living in oshkosh that time).... in feburary of 2014 the transmission had quit working... the windstar had been sitting from feburary all the way to july... during that time it has been sitting... i have been starting her up every once a week to keep battery and the engine running prior to july (transmission getting replaced) i had finally got my van sent to J&R service to get my transmission replaced... after it was replaced... my wife went to pick my van up and drove just 27 miles to appleton and put it in garage and next day she went in to start it up to make sure it will start right up but it turned out the van battery went dead (after tranny replaced) and she informed me that battery is dead and i finally came back home last week thursday after being gone for 3 months i went in the garage and see whats going on with my van and i had to jump start the van from other car... and let my van run for 30 min knowing that my alternator will charge up my battery then i turned off and 4 hours later and i went back to my van and get that fired up but turned out that the battery was dead.. so i had to pull out the battery and alternator and took it to autozone to get it tested and it turned out that the alternator and battery has a failed the test (bad) so i had to send my buddy to junkyard and get a replacement alternator and battery and took it to autozone to get it tested and it passed then i drop that alternator and battery in the van and got it fired up and let it run for 30 minutes and turned it off and the one hour later i went back in the van to fire it up to see if the battery still strong to start the engine and it turned out that the battery went dead... well.. i called...J&R and explained to the mechanic who put the tranny in my van and asked him if he must have forgotten to hook up one of the wire he said it has nothing to do with the transmission... and then the mechanic told someone else in background (hes wasting my time!!) then i told him i will NEVER ever go there again.... transmission replacement with labor cost $3,000 dollar and my van have issue with alternator and battery even though it didnt have NONE of problem prior to transmission replacement....i suggest all of you not to go to J&R service!!!!thank you
