The Autobahn Service is one of the best auto mechanics shops in town. They’re always busy because it’s really hard to find and honest mechanic these days. Gary Cheever and Family/Employees are hands down the best!!! A family owned business for 30 years plus.

This is a team of people keeping cars on the road. I am fairly handy and when there is a complex job or something that I dont have the tools for I bring my vehicles here. They treat me well and provide an honest service. They do what is needed and take great care of their customers. If you want a place you can trust you can go here.

I feel like Autobahn takes away some of the worries about owning a robust German machine. No, you don’t get the Audi dealers lounge experience (and sometimes you have to wipe up smudges on the interior) but I would still highly recommend them. They’ve always provided me with great service, and for far less than you will pay at any dealer service center.

Too busy. Doesnt communicate well with customers. Every time I take my car in I have to call them to see how things are going. One time I called to see if my car was done and they hadnt started because they needed approval from me to move forward with the repairs. It had been there 2 whole days without being repaired. I was frustrated they didnt call me and just get it done. I give it a three star because they do a good job and theyre the only place nearby thats a good price for working on VWs.

Autobahn has kept me from purchasing cars with problems! Their mechanics are upfront and honest. They are by far the best price for pre-purchase car inspections, and incredibly kind people to work with.

Autobahn is easily the most reliable, honest, and overall exceptional service I have ever received from an auto mechanic shop. I had a part go out in my car that they had fixed about two years ago and when I brought my car in they replaced the part free of charge because it was still under warranty.

Thay really treat me like family when Im there. I go there for all my car fixing it needs.

Great place to take your vehicle. They havent suggested any unnecessary fixes or replacements. I always call around to get other quotes on the same work and theyre always least expensive or very close to it. Their warranty on their work is great too. I will keep bringing my vehicles here.

My husband and I have a Saab with recurring issues after an accident. Its safe to say we know the Autobahn very well. My dad referred me and weve been happy with our experience. Their customer service is always great. You feel like you can trust and rely upon them. Despite the issues our Saab has had, they have done well at helping us with it and being fair about costs. If any related issue has ever come up they always assess if its a new issue or related to something they previously addressed. They make sure to explain the problem and are honest about when something could make do without replacement. We appreciate their continued hard work and will continue to do business with them.

You will not find a better shop than Autobahn Service Center. Their service is amazing, their staff is great, their prices are always fair, and I never have to worry about them trying to tell me I need something fixed or replaced that isn’t actually broken (this happens very often in the car service business). Autobahn has proven their integrity time and time again. They have my business for life, and they should have yours too.

My experience with Autobahn was excellent. They were very conscientious about touching up paint prior to installing the clear tint. Work quality was excellent. It took about 3 weeks to get scheduled to get in but was well worth the wait. Would have no qualms about recommending this shop to others.

They were amazing. Had to get my 2001 Audi repaired at a reasonable price and they fit the bill. Excellent service. I explained to them I needed just a patch up job on my bumper and headlight (its an old car) and they shopped around and found a used bumper from a junkyard nearby. This saved me a lot of money! Throughout the process they would call me before doing any major work on the far and were very helpful and informative. Needless to say they did a great job repairing my vehicle in a timely fashion and getting me back on the road. I cannot recommend these people enough. Super friendly!!

We had a great experience with Autobahn! I was passing through town and on a time schedule. They looked at my truck right away. I thought my truck needed a new part, but it turned out to be a quick easy fix. They could have easily taken advantage of this out-of-towner, but the repair was so minimal, they didnt even charge me for it! I was on the road again in about 20 min.Friendly, prompt, and most importantly HONEST! Highly recommended.

This service center just saved us at least $800 on our car repairs. We had taken our car to another shop and were wanting to find a place that could fix our older car for cheaper, since we had just put $1000 in repairs! The other mechanic wanted $1400 to replace several pieces of our muffler system...Autobahn had a welder do it for $300! Awesome!! My daughter is SUPER happy too, since she is buying the car from us for the price of the repairs! I am beyond THRILLED with this service center and their ability to make our repairs happen on an old car!! :)

Very friendly and comfortable environment, Courtney was very patient with me and all my questions and phone calls about when my car will be done so I can take it to the different places I need to be. XDThe only thing is, they really need a bigger parking lot. But besides that, this place is great.

Ive had to take my car in twice for different things and they have worked extremely quickly. They never start work before calling and confirming it with you. Theyre definitely the best deal around and the most honest! If its something they cant fix (i.e. My catalytic converter needed replacing so they referred me to a different shop who only charged me $250 parts and labor) theyll send you to somewhere just as honest and well priced.

The first reason I go here is because they have great customer service, which is a rarity for a mechanic shop. They also seem to be reasonably priced and quite knowledgeable.

I have been taking my VW to Autobahn since 2003. Thats 14 years of great service! They are always friendly, helpful, honest and go the extra mile to make sure my car is taken care of and that I am back on the road as quickly as possible. I trust their staff and know I am being treated fairly and honestly.

I had a computer problem -my check engine light wasnt resetting and it could have been any number of issues. Turns out it was just a memory fuse and they only charged me for a half hour of labor because it was strange problem to diagnose and they even drove the car to try and reset the check engine lights. I was expecting to pay a lot more. Very happy with my experience. Very honest mechanics I will definitely be returning!

I am normally cynical about mechanics and auto shops based on past experiences and being taken advantage of but we have had the best experience with them!We were unable to determine the issue with our car and needed a quick answer, Autobahn took amazing care of us. They took our vehicle in quickly, remained in contact with us concerning our options and left the decisions up to us. Past shops have overbilled and overstated our problems to increase their sale. Autobahn was the opposite! They let us know what we needed now and the cause, what may be issues in our car in the future AND what our different options were.We were back on the road quickly and our car is running perfectly. I’ve taken 3 different cars here and these guys know what they are doing. Great service great price and the lady at the front desk is great.

I had them change the timing belt and water pump on my Dodge Stratus. Other shops wanted $800 or more. Autobahn was able to do it for much less.

This shop is one of the hidden gems in Orem.If there is something wrong with your car they can fix it and identify the problem. I have taken my car here multiple times.I changed my own oil once but my car was slowly leaking from somewhere. I took it to them. It turns out I just didnt have the filter on tight enough.Courtney is friendly and courteous. Their whole crew does a great job.Yes, they could use more parking but they are probably working on so many cars because they do a good job.

Best mechanics for German cars in Utah county

I thought I was getting good service, but after 2 attempts and $400 later to fix a check engine light repair, that would come back after two days. I ended up taking it to Advantage Automotive the third time and they found a vacuum hose cracked and leaking, an $80 repair. My car has never run so good.

Our VW Jetta is running better now that they replaced the cam and lifters! They had an answer for every question we asked them about our vehicle, they gave us a decent quote for the work we wanted done, and we were able to talk to the mechanic when we picked up the car after they performed the work necessary. We had a small hiccup with charging twice for a parts deposit but they were quick to get it resolved. We will continue to take the Jetta to Autobahn! Very pleased with work done and customer service!

I took my mk3 jetta in and they were able to work wonders on it. Gary knew exactly what was wrong with it and fixed it in one day. He even took a look at my check engine light and fixed it and ran a test emissions test to make sure it would pass, And all of this at the most fair and honest price. If you have a mk3 you have to take it to Autobahn.

Attention TDI owners -- Every time I try to give these guys a chance, something else disappoints. Historically, they have been trustworthy and competent with TDI repairs, but the last time I was in there will remain the last time. Ever since Gary stopped turning wrench, the quality has gone downhill. I knew that I could trust him to do it right and by the book. But the latest treatment is a clear sign that they cut corners just like every other shop in Utah county.I took my beloved TDI in for its due timing belt service. Months later, to my horror, I found that they replaced the pink G12 coolant with ORANGE Dexcool. It really makes one wonder what kind of parts and fluids theyre using otherwise, presumably Chinese garbage. What kind of water pumps? What brand of rollers? Im going to have to drain the coolant and flush out their dexcool garbage and replace it with G12, like VW specifies. Im going to have to tear into the timing belt area and see if I can figure out what brand the water pump is. While Im at it, Ill probably just replace everything again so I know its done right.Gary, if youre reading this, youve hurt a loyal TDI customer. Youve allowed your mechanics to perform the same poor work that I can get anywhere else in the area. Im afraid Im going to have to pull my recommendation and remove you from the trust list on the TDI forums. Very, very sad.

These guys do great work. A friend asked me to recommend a shop near Provo and I remembered the good experiences I had. They changed the transmission fluid on my 05 Jetta for a pretty reasonable price and did some other repairs over the years (last time I was there was probably early 2012). A couple times things have been less expensive than their estimates and a couple times there has been more wrong than what they expected, but they have always been honest. I like to work on my car and they explained everything they did (and gave me the worn part when I requested it) and everything checked out. I would definitely recommend these guys. Finding a mechanic stinks, but I had good luck with these guys the 4-5 times I have needed work on my VW Jetta and Nissan Maxima. There will always be a couple bad experiences but they seem to be pretty honest. Hopefully it stays that way!
