Good service. The only issue I have was that I dropped my car off at 4pm on a Friday and had to wait awhile in the lobby before someone could come help me (maybe have a help button people can press) and then I never got a call notifying me that my car was done and so I had to call in on Saturday morning to find out my car was already done. I don’t know if this just slipped through the cracks but I would recommend that for the future that they make sure the owners of the car are contacted promptly because I’m not sure anyone would’ve contacted me if I hadn’t called in the next day and I maybe would’ve gone days without my car.

I drove 4 hours to Orem and on the way some service lights came up. I was able to get an appointment at Pep Boys the next day and they were so helpful. Sam called me multiple times to give me updates while they were working on my car. I ended up needing new times and Sam was able to find me some reasonably priced tires and get them replaced within a couple hours. I had a great experience, will definitely go here again!

Sam is the new owner, as of July 2021, of this Pep Boys location. Hes knowledgeable, kind, and treats every customer the same as he would his own family. Hes cleaned the store up significantly and still has plans to fix it further. While I was waiting for my car to be finished I witnessed Sam help two people after the shop was supposed to be closed. He couldve easily said come back tomorrow as it was ten minutes after closing time, but he chose to help people who were in need. One individual was here from out of town heading to a funeral and had already been turned away from a different repair shop. I was very touched at how kind he was to them.Jesse was the tech taking care of my van. He was so good about answering all of my questions. He also let me know that I didnt need extra services that I thought I needed. Although we live a half an hour from here, Ill be coming back to this location for my next service!

If I could give them no stars I would. Worst experience, DON’T go here!!! Came in from out of town, after driving for 2 days. Car was over heating. Had made it to Orem by adding water every 15 miles. Dropped it off at Pep Boys Sunday, heard back from them the next day saying it needed a hose assembly replaced. They did the work. It was $627.70. Seemed like a lot of money for a hose but I was in a bind.After spending a few days in Provo with family we left for Washington. We almost made it to Tremonton. Not even 2 hours up the road before the temperature skyrocketed again. Which left my daughter, myself and her twin 4 year olds stranded in 90° weather for 2 hours. Turns out the hose came lose. You can clearly see from the pictures I took that something sprayed on the inside of the engine. Getting the car towed to the nearest Pep Boys in Ogden took an act of God. The run around we got from that store will be on my lack of a recommendation for that location. Bang up job Pep Boys, I don’t know how you stay in business.

The service was perfect. Everyone was so kind and worked with me very well. They explained everything and checked the car above and beyond what I expected. Will come again for sure and recommend everyone else does too.

I went to Pep Boys for some tires and an oil change. They performed the work in a reasonable time and allowed me to wait in their waiting room while they did the work. During the services they let me know some other needed repairs that are coming up. Nice getting a heads up of whats next so I can budget for it. Thanks for your excellent and through service! Well worth the time spent.

Reed went the extra mile for us. He greeted us right when we pulled up. I explained that I went to another tire shop and they were unable to set the bead on my new tires from the Tire Rack and that the Tire Rack requested I bring the tires to them to try. He noticed we have reverse mount wheels and said they are more difficult to mount. He informed me up front there would be an extra charge for this and that he would try his best to get them mounted. We had made our appointment at 5:30 and he mentioned given the difficulty and time it would take he would not be able to get it done that night. We left the car there and to my surprise, Reed decided to stay late and get the car done. Awesome. I would have been excited with just getting the tires mounted after my prior experience. What can I say. Top notch service. Thank you!

Our Hertz rental car had a warning light for low tire pressure. Called Hertz who recommended that we take it to Pepboys. We stopped by and they took care of it and we were on our way in just a few minutes.

First time I have ever done business with them. Man what a disaster. I asked for the best tires to put on my Nissan Passenger Van. They sold me 4 tires to for 1,526 dollars. The up sold me one of their most expensive tires. I trusted them. They installed the tires, they balanced the tires. That is what they do. 7 months later my front two wont’t pass inspections. I need 2 new tires. I call the store to find out they sold me clearance tires that don’t exist anymore. It was the first time in 5 years we had to change tires on this vehicle. Never had an issue. I just called three other tire companies and they were surprised they recommended those tires. Now I have to fork out 1,100 for 4 new tires based on the negligent recommendation of this company. Their response? I sure am sorry, not sure we can help you.

Brought in an old beater I had just purchased for an oil change and Reed took the time to put my car back up on the lift and show me all of the repairs I should get done soon! I brought my car here to have the tires swapped out, they inspected my used ones and made sure they were road worthy, and while they did the work I enjoyed Yummys Korean bbq which was conveniently located near by. They also installed my window wiper blades at no extra cost!! Thanks guys

I would definitely use Pep Boys again. The manager Reed went above and beyond his performance. He stayed late to work on my vehicle and called after hours to give me an update. However, he wasnt able to find anything wrong with my car. Although they did tests on my car and did everything they could but couldnt find the problem. Since they couldnt find d the problem the service was free.

ONLY tire shop open for miles & miles that had our specific tires and open on a Sunday. Not very many mechanics on staff, but did a good job at getting us on the schedule last minute even though they had other appointments. Time estimate was almost two times longer than quotes, but we were grateful they were open and had what we needed.

I have a bolt in my tire the guy at the front desk was short. He said he was way busy. He would look at my tire. As we walked to my truck rite off the bat he said he couldnt fix it.With our even looking at. I will never come back you again.Thank you for showing me what pepboys is all about

Never stop by on a Sunday in need of a tire. Both guys working were clearly not wanting to work in any way. Lazy, and rude. They could only come up with reasons why they couldn’t help us with a tire instead of trying to help with the problem. Should consider shutting down on a Sunday if this is your Sunday best. Driving for miles on a flat tire is better than stopping here for help. Call ogdens auto towing, they know how to do it right!

I wanted to get my tires changed they had my car for 5 hours on sunday where there is almost no customers and they couldnt change my tires. They had not even moved my vehicle from where I left it and I could see not even a little interest in find a solution worst experience.

My experience at the Orem location was absolutely phenomenal! We had a little mishaps on our way to Texas as there was a tire the came off of another car & caused our compressor to have a hole in it, causing the AC to stop working. We knew we couldn’t drive in this heat with our dog across country in the middle of summer, so we stopped hoping for the best. They ordered the parts that were needed & came in on their day off to get the job done for us the next day! As if they couldn’t get any kinder, they gave us giant cookies while we waited & everything done in only 2 hours time when it was projected to take a little longer. AWESOME customer service, they will do everything in their power to make it work. 2 workers in particular stood out & helped, names unknown but they were working on Tuesday august 10, 2021. We appreciate them & will refer anyone in the Orem area to pep boys because of them!!! Thanks guys

They are the worst customer service ever I went in there had an appointment set for a simple oil change and flat repair they tolde no they couldnt do they dont have a technician there was 2 guys up front that could do it I wont ever go back there again a few months again I spent about a 1,000 with them and was going spend more in there now Im not there not the only shop around Ill just go some were else spend my money discount and jiffy lube or lube dpc never do buisnuis with these guys they will screw you over.

Reed is super honest, he helped me avoid spending a ton of money to fix my car. There was a simple fix putting a couple wires back where they needed to be. After he fixed my car, he even gave me some advice to avoid the problem for the future.

Every time i go and bring my own oil and filter they charge me $20 for an oil change, but this time i went and it took 30 minutes for the larger man with red hair (dont remember his name) to come out from the back and then tried to charge me $60 when i already brought everything. Im not paying $60 for labor on an oil change, absolutely ridiculous. Lost my business for sure.

I showed up to my appointment and waited for 20 minutes at the front desk. The man finally comes to the front and mentioned how I was late- no sir, I had been there for 20 minutes at the front. He then says that most people come to the back to wave them down to let them know that they are there. This is a CUSTOMER based business. You would think they would be smart to have SOME system that notifies them that their CUSTOMERS are waiting to be assisted in their office. Blows my mind. He then makes a second comment AGAIN about how I should have come to the back to wave them down. Sorry dude. Im a woman and not going to the back of a car shop with a bunch of dudes to wave you down. Creepy & unprofessional.

I took my car in worried about my suspension they were clear, concise, and transparent. They answered my questions and I feel confident with the performance of my vehicle.

I called to get a quote on my right rear wheel bearings to be replaced. I had already bought the part. They quoted me $500 in labor fees. And thered be no guarantee because Ive already bought the part.So I called Jiffy Lube. They quoted me $250 in labor fees. Jiffy Lube was amazing! Ill never call Pep Boys again. I like having my money in my pocket!

If I could give them a negative star I would. They were completely rude and unhelpful, and were more worried about making excuses so they could go home on time then actually helping. Dont go there.

Went to get a simple oil change and had an appointment. Still took them about 2 hours to do it. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Went to get my brakes checked out and was quoted $550 for the bare minimum (replacement of brake pads and one caliper that was frozen) they wanted me to replace both calipers and both rotors which would put me at $900+. I went for a second opinion and got the brake pads replaced, rotors rotated, and the caliper unstuck and not needing replaced for $230. I wasted an hour an a half here with only one other person there. Take your business elsewhere this place is just trying to get your money.

I called this particular location in the morning. I asked about a specific tire, however they didnt have it in stock but could get it for me the next day. That was great, but I needed it same day. I proceeded to ask about other tires and what they had in stock and the pricing along with any specials they had. The whole time it seemed like he wanted to get off the phone he kept saying Alright, thank you. Even though I wasnt done. I eventually stopped asking and said goodbye. I then noticed I could see what tires were available and when on their website. I selected 2 tires and set an appointment for the afternoon. That afternoon, 30 mins before I was supposed to be there, they called and notified me that their online scheduling doesnt take into account for appointments they have set in store. (This seems like an ongoing issue that hasnt bee resolved. How long has this been happening and a major company cant sort it out?). By then, (30 mins before my appointment instead of when I had scheduled it.) I couldnt change plans for the day and needed to find a different tire shop. I do not recommend this store location. At second glance discount tire has more and better reviews overall so just go there. Dont waste your time here. Pep boys should take a better look at their schedule system and customer service. In a dying industry thats all they have. If they dont believe its dying, take a look at Firestone.

Made an appointment and they had my car all day for about 8 hours and still did not do an alignment. Take it to a dealership. Worse place ever.

Both times Ive come for tires the wait has been an hour longer than we were told, even with appointments made. The first time we had a 3 year old and a 6 month old with us as its our only car. We got back when they said to and hadnt even started. We waited an hour with upset kids for them.This time I arrived just before my appointment time and was told it would be 2 hours (I was told 1 hour on the phonecall before coming) and waited nearly 3 hours.I also signed up for the financing the first time and they couldnt figure out how to use it on that purchase so I paid out of pocket and had my credit dinged for it. I tried to use that card for todays payment to get the $50 discount and the $50 rebate and was told the instant discount isnt applicable for the tires I got? Nowhere does it say certain tires are excluded.I wont be back to pep boys.

Was excited to get my oil changed here. I made an appointment and got there a few minutes early. We waited inside the store for 10 minutes and no one came. We shouted to the guys in the back who heard us, and they ignored us. I called, and heard the phone ringing in the store but no one came. So we just left. Annoyed because we had an appointment. Maybe they’re good, but we had a bad experience

Took my car in on Friday to get my suspension and struts checked out. Told me that the struts needed to be replaced and all 4 tires because the struts had worn a groove into the tire making my car potentially dangerous to drive. I told them not to worry about the tires and just quote me on struts.....1296. Told them not to worry about it and went in search of a second opinion. Instead I took my car down to a garage I have experience with and he did some very easy tests in front of me to show me that not only are my struts sound and safe, but that it was actually an alignment problem that I can easily get done down at any tire store. It’s not the miss diagnosis that upset me so much, but that it seemed like they didn’t even check my car out and instead of asking questions like “what does it sound like? How does it handle?” They went out of their way to plant fear in my mind that I was in danger anytime I even looked at my car. Long story short...I got a new set of tires and an alignment for under 400 at a tire shop, much better than 1296 for something that didn’t even need to be replaced.

Got an oil change and I found a bolt in my oil pan!!!

I had them fix a flat tire last week. That tire’s sensor broke and they refuse to fix it. Their customer service is awful. They are difficult to get your vehicle into them for an appointment. I will never use them again.Edited to add that the store did contact me after corporate put presser on them to do so. They spoke to my husband and accused us of filing a complaint about them, then argued about originally refusing to fix the sensor they broke. They treated me like because I was a woman, I didnt know what I was talking about and told my husband they didnt refuse to fix the sensor they broke. They were very rude and I am still stuck with a broken sensor. If youre a woman, dont trust these men. They lie and will con and take advantage of you.

Called in to get an oil change. Let the guy know Im 30 mins away. He said they are slow and to head in. I arrived and he told me the wait was a few hours. It has to be a joke, avoid here. Was quoted $320.00 over the phone for a cv joint replacement. When I got there Pep Boys told me they would have to look at it and charge me $30.00 for the inspection. I left my car there and later received a call from Pep Boys saying the cv joint would be $650.00. I went back and demanded my car back and refused to pay the hostage fee of my car. eventually I got my car back without paying the hostage fee. I had my car repaired at Taysoms auto repair for $239.00. Wish I could give Pep Boys a 0 star rating!

This place is the WORST! My husband made an appointment. We would go some where closer to home, but purchased an oil change coupon book when we bought our car. So, he gets there and they said because it’s New Year’s Day the company that processes the coupon and they get some “ID” from is out of office today so they couldn’t do his oil change. Not acceptable! What a bunch or bull! No where on the coupon book does is say cannot be used in certain days and when he called to make the appointment he said that we have the coupon book and they didn’t say anything. What a waste of time!

Had a flat tire that just need a plug and air and they wouldn’t help us said it would be 4 hours just for a plug.

If I could leave a negative rating I would. My cousin went in the other day to get a tire change. She had to go back the next day because they failed to put the valve stem in correctly. And instead of taking accountability for their screw up they are now charging her more than the original price. She ended up going somewhere else and spent a significant amount less for a better tire job. Not to mention when she brought it back in they were incredibly rude and unprofessional.awful service and never will we ever come here again.

I scheduled an appointment online for an oil change. When I arrived no one was there to help me. I waited 15 minutes in the waiting room without any help so I walked around to the garages in the back to ask for assistance. The man told me he didnt have time to see me and that I didnt have an appointment because their online scheduler didnt even work. Sorry but you probably should take down your online schedule if its not even accurate. I drove all the way there with my daughter and lined up a ride to pick me up for absolutely NOTHING. Waste of time!

The shorter older guy with grey hair at the front of the store didnt seem happy to me. He was unprofessional in conversation he had with me. He mentioned he was short staffed. It came across to me that he wanted to complain.

JJ took the time to help me find the perfect set of all season tires, knowing that performance and safety were very important to me. JJ also told me about an alignment package deal they offer for a driver as particular about performance and feel as I am.Mckade was able to answer specific questions I had regarding my alignment.Stephen was kind enough to offer to stay late so I could pay for the services received/pickup my car when I was running late from an appointment from SLC.I got a tire warranty, 3 year alignment package deal, and 4 all season tires for a spanking deal.Be kind to these guys, especially before holiday season, (when they are slammed with business) and you might be amazed how far they are willing to go to get you a great deal and do a good job. I can’t tell you how many people were absolute asshats to these guys who are working their tails off.

If you are new or inexperienced to car maintenance this is the place to go. A few weeks ago my car died a horrible and untimely death. Their service department was patient and careful from the moment I brought in my old steed (which ultimately had to be left on their lot until I could get a tow the next day) through now as I am getting minor repairs done on a fantastic car they helped me find. Cody showed me things to look for on one of the cars that I brought in for inspection, which ultimately helped me negotiate $1500 off the asking price of the car I ended up buying. For an incoming grad student on a budget that is a world of difference!Additionally, they have been completely fair and honest with every repair that I have needed. I asked for a serious going over of my car for any potential problems. I was given a list of things that bore further inspection by one of the more experienced techs, with some rough quotes. This is the point where one might expect to get ripped off as an uneducated plebeian. Instead I went back in that the needed repair was less than what I quoted and the other potential major repairs were determined to be fine and unneeded.I have lived off an on in Utah for the 7 years and this is the first time I have felt safe and cared for by a mechanic. I cannot say enough good things about Cody and have already recommended this place to several friends and intend on bringing my baby sister here when she starts her car shopping and ownership journey.

Got a 4 year warranty on a new Bosch battery, it was on sale for 25% off and they installed for free. I was able to make and appointment at my convenience, the employees where super friendly and my car was done in no time.I

I will never return. After going in expecting some regular maintenance and possibly some tires I was quoted over $2000.00 to replace my shocks and tires. I didn’t feel good about that and went to a more reliable source. I learned that my shocks were fine and that I had been lied to so that I would be overcharged. This was dishonest and appalling. NEVER go here. Unless you like having your money stolen.

Terrible quality service!All 4 rims were badly scratched during a simple tire installation. When I picked up my truck, no one said anything about the damage.I contacted Pep Boys on 8/15 and informed the manager of the damage during install and was told that Pep Boys would not be willing to repair the damage or do anything to make amends.Worst experience ever.

I scheduled an appointment online for a state inspection. Their website states that they perform this service. When I showed up to my appointment, the guy at the service counter told me they dont perform the state inspection. The service guy went on to explain that none of their mechanics are certified to perform it. Why are you falsely advertising a service you dont perform? Better yet, why would you have your mechanics doing much more involved repairs if they arent certified to perform an inspection?? Not happy I wasted my time coming here for a service they advertise, but apparently cant do. Im worried for anyone who gets any kind of repair done here.

I went to Pep Boys this morning to get my headlight replaced. They told me it would be done in 45 minutes, but they quickly did it and I was out in 15. On my way out they noticed that one of my back brake lights was out and replaced that one quickly (less than 5 minutes) as well. They made a loyal customer out of me today! Richard was awesome! The rest of the guys were friendly and great as well. Thanks for the great and quick service today!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We bought a &160 battery and four months later my car had trouble. My small town car guy swapped it out because the battery read bad. Pep boys would not take the battery back even though they said it was warrantied. I will never step foot in another Pep Boys.

The store in Orem has been incredible to work with. Steve in service is excellent and has great customer service. They really care about the customer. I will miss this place. We get our cars aligned here.

Pep Boys is my first stop when I need anything for my automobiles, because I know they will have what I need, the quality is always good, and the prices are great too. But most of all, I like the service. Their people seem to have two passions in common : a love for cars done right, and a love for customer satisfaction.

Excellent customer service. Richard was the Manager that took care of us. We ordered 4 tires from Amazon and paid for the service to be performed at their store. My father ‘s Nissan X-Terra had some old tires and were hard to remove but they went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly and in a timely fashion. I would recommend Pep Boys to provide any tire service needed to all my friends and family members.

They over charged me for a basic oil change and when I left this shop after said oil change, my check engine light was on. When I went back to ask them about that, they ran the codes and wanted to bring it in for an inspection that would have cost me more money. Found out later that my air pressure sensor was unplugged so it was just a matter of plugging it back in. I dont know if it was on purpose or an accident but it definitely happened while at the shop.

DO NOT COME HERE. They tried to scam me EVERY TIME I have come here.They tried telling me my brand new tires all needed replaced, costing me over $600. When I said no they aggressively pressured me to do it. Thankfully I decided to say no and go to the dealership. Turns out none of my tires needed replaced at all, this pep boys was just trying to scam me.I can’t stress it enough, they are willing to lie to you. I’m a poor college student, but they don’t care, they only care about their wallets.

I had a rental car that had a flat and I needed to fix it asap. I live right next to this pep boys so I slowly drove the car over. Within an hour they had my tire patched and when I went to pay they told me it was on the house. I am so grateful. It was quick and free. I would highly recommend using Pep Boys. Great place and awesome employees.

I have had only great experiences with Pep Boys! When I went in to get new windshield wipers and headlights I was greeted with cheerful, friendly and professional service. Nelson and Will were so great! They helped me to find exactly what was best for my car and my budget, and they went above and beyond by helping me get everything installed. I would recommend going to them for any car needs as they have great staff and fair prices.

Took my car in a couple months ago. Costco had told me they wouldnt repair the tire. They said I needed a new wheel. Went to Pep Boys prepared to buy a new tire. When I returned they said they patched the leak and I didnt need a new tire. I was so grateful. Excellent service, honest guys I dont think Ill go anywhere else unless they tell me to. Shout out to Richard and his team. I went recently for an oil change, that went good too and the price was one of the most inexpensive that I know of.

I don’t understand why the place is open, you’ll change oil and you can’t get the worst place I’ve ever been. Ridiculous

The experience with the employees was great 5 star.The store was great.However, we were trying to move and the product purchased fell apart and didnt even last the time of the install. we needed to secure our load and it snapped before we got on the road. At that point we had no time to bring it back and just had to do the best we could. ended up losing not only the netting we purchased, the bungees and a tarp.But that is life. it just would have been nice to have had better product.

They were friendly. Which is essential to good customer service IMO.

I used to enjoy making my purchases for auto parts here. However it hasnt been very good lately. In the past their employees were so helpful and knowledgeable. Not only about their products but knowledgeable about auto maintenance in general. The employees now seem like they cant tell the difference between a fuel pump and an alternator. Or even know what either of them do. Young kids that are not only auto care illiterate, (besides maybe the stereo system) but also lack any kind of decent customer service skills. Auto Zone is literally across the street, better step up your game.

Very happy with my service here. Several family members told me to check out this location as they have new managers and really provided them great service. I went in for an oil change and was really glad I did. Great customer service, they were quick and pointed out several things that were needed on my vehicle that I did not know about. Overall good experience here from very helpful and nice folks. Thanks

If you have a pickup truck dont bother. I scheduled an appointment online for their break service. Part of the appointment scheduling process was input my car year, make and model, which I did. Upon my arrival to the store I was informed, by Cody, that they could not lift my truck at their store and that i would need to go elsewhere for service and furthermore they were booked anyways. So I guess booking an appointment is all for not because they maybe booked anyways when you get there.

Didnt have a Prius battery. All shut down. Not the same as it used to be.

Pep boys in Orem really took care of my vehicle. They care about their customers and their safety. I trust them to take care of my car needs. I will always go to Pep Boys in Orem!

Mike was very helpful! Not only did he balance my tires, but he also took the time to show me some other concerns with my car and gave honest input on what I should do.

Made an appointment for Sunday, received a confirmation email for Sunday, arrived to drop my car off on Sunday, they didn’t have my appointment on the books. Now I’m scrambling to find another place open on short notice. Will not be coming back.

I have always experienced pleasant knowledgeable service. If you need maintenance or repairs be sure to make an appointment. They are often busy and full.
