I would stay FAR AWAY from this dealership. They have no clue what they are doing. Had my car in for repairs, FOUR months later got my car back and had missing pieces that they never put back on my vehicle. They can not and WILL NOT answer or return calls. Best advice is just to save yourself and go else where. Surprised the service manager still has a job there because he is TERRIBLE. I will never go back there, let alone let them work on my vehicle again.

Our salesman Nick was so nice, and really went out of his way to help us and make sure we drove out the lot with a new car!! Overall I would have to say I had a mixed experienced with the dealership. The two initial sales ladies I spoke to directly on the phone were very present and helpful to deal with. I was very satisfied with the final price I was able to purchase the vehicle for. The professionalism “or lack of it” in person was disappointing. The job did get done and for that I am thankful, but overall lack of knowledge of the vehicle was very shocking. Too not be able to answer basic questions made me second question buying at all. FYI don’t try to “sneak” in an interior protection product with a person who confirmed 10 times what the price was going to be and then when the product is declined don’t say out loud to another employee “shoot, darn it, etc.” in front of the customer/buyer.

Dishonest, high pressure sales led us to purchasing out of town.Still tried to take the car here for service. Over the last 3 months, weve left ~10 unreturned messages for the service department - mostly to Titus. For one repair, we called the parts department after numerous unreturned messages to service. They told us that part had arrived and that Titus would call to schedule the appointment - that never happened. We had to go in to get service scheduled. Had another issue, went in to schedule an appointment, and were told to bring it in on Thursday. We dropped the car off Wednesday night but were called in the morning and told they couldnt work on it that day and they couldnt keep it on the lot because they had too many cars there. When we questioned why they werent able to work on the vehicle, they told us that we should have looked at the (appointment) confirmation email because, despite what we were told, they had scheduled it for 3 weeks out. They ended up doing the diagnostic work that day but said wed have to speak to another employee to schedule the work because wed need a loaner vehicle. Later, after multiple unanswered calls, we scheduled service with a loaner vehicle only to be called the day before the scheduled work to be told that there is no loaner available and that they dont guarantee availability of loaner cars - we could keep the appointment with no loaner or reschedule (when presumably they wouldnt guarantee a loaner either). We asked to speak with a manager, were transferred to the service manager, and, no surprise, had to leave a voicemail that wasnt returned. After not hearing about our car for three days (we were told that it was a two-day job), we went in and nobody could tell us anything. We asked for the district managers phone number and were told that we could have the service managers number - the guy that already hadnt returned our calls. Oh, and the two-day repair went six and we never got a loaner vehicle.1-star because 0 isnt an option.

I bought a new Volkswagen from this dealership on May 10th 2021. It is now August 28th 2021 and I still have not received my registration or title for the vehicle. I’ve called the dealership over 10 times asking about it when I was promised it would be under 4 weeks to get my title. Then when I purchased the vehicle I was never given any paperwork regarding my extended warranty that I bought, or anything regarding the break in period of the car or oil change intervals. I had to look it up online. Overall I would not recommend this dealer, as my experience has been nothing but issues and problematic.

Bought my car here was a greatExperience! Since then dealing with the service department for VW is horrible and particularly Titus. He can never find my appointments I make, can’t find my vehicle information in the system, argues with us every time we go in on what service package we bought to the point we have to get the service manager involved. My car went into service July 1st and I just got it back last week with them saying they couldn’t find the issue. After my husband talked to the technician and him letting it slip that my car had been ready almost a week before that and it had been setting on the lot and nobody bothered to call us. Very frustrating to deal with the service department and now take my car to Peoria so I don’t have to deal with them. Titus must be related to someone higher up- have the guy has no clue what’s going on he needs to go!!😡

I will start out by saying when I begin the car buying experience with leader automotive in Bloomington IL it wasn’t good. My salesman Sevan was very informative and rude. In all my years of buying a vehicle I have never been treated as poorly as he did. This made me leave and quite honestly wasn’t going to come back. Before I left Ramzey Ard spoke with me and apologized about the incident and said he would make everything right. I was then contacted by Ramzey himself and between him and Nick (don’t know last name) I was told to come back in to make a deal. I was treated with respect by Ramzey. He put me in the hands of Nick to finish the deal. Between Nick and Christina (finance manager) things went smoothly. The only problem is vehicle has started burning the hood insulation because it gets to hot. I have spoke with Ramsey and he assured me they would take care of it for me. This journey started out horrible but between Ramsey Ard and Nick the salesman I have been very pleased. Hope everything is fixed with vehicle. If that is handled I will be happy as a lark. These two need to be rewarded for their persistence. More to come with vehicle repair.

Check your repair quote very close and call to verify price before allowing work to be completed. Myself and several others I showed after the fact came to the same conclusion the repair cost would be $705 due to the fact the price quote email read Replace water pump / thermostat housing $705 Apparently there is multiple other pages that need to be added together yet after going back to read the email a second and third time it still makes no sense how the bill ended up $1486.91 No combination of the email came to that price. One would think that getting an easy to comprehend price on a job that a high percentage of 2.0 liter Volkswagens will have repaired before 50,000 miles would be simple.

Terrible service department and customer service. Ive had an ongoing problem with a leak in my 2011 Tiguan that started a year ago when the service department replaced my turbo. Id never had a drop leak from this vehicle until after they replaced the part. Then they didnt want to admit the problem had been caused by their work. I had to go to another company for a quote that the leak was coming from the turbo and take that to Volkswagen before theyd accept responsibility. Finally, a month or so ago, they replaced the part at their cost. Then few weeks ago I pulled my car out of the garage to find - again - a puddle of fluid that has leaked from my vehicle. The vehicle is back to leaking. I called repeatedly for several days in a row to get an appointment to come in and have this looked at. No one answered the phone so I left messages each time;. No one EVER returned my call. Finally I made an appointment on line. Then, the Friday before my appointment I got an email saying my appointment time was no longer available and I needed to make a new appointment. Are you kidding me? In my experience and in my opinion, if the service department is so busy that no one can answer the phone, or at the very least return your call within 24 hours; if they cant even keep an appointment booked in advance online, do you really think they are going to do very good work on your vehicle? Do you really think they care about you as a customer?

This place is a joke. Titus, the Volkswagen “Service Manager”, is the most unpleasant person I have dealt with in along time. He is arrogant, rude, and extremely unprofessional. He has to be married to the owner’s daughter or something because that’s the only way he could possibly stay employed here. I will now be making the 40 minute drive to the Peoria dealership just so I never have to deal with him again. Great job Titus, keep up the excellent workAlso, didn’t see one employee wearing a mask. I came in late September/early October looking for a new car. My experience here started off ok while they were still working to get the sale. As soon as I decided on which vehicle I wanted and they assumed I would be buying from them their service dropped. They didn’t have a car with the specifications I was looking for so they said they could get one for me and that they usually can get them in 3-5 days. So, I began the application process and put a deposit down on the car they said they could get me. We informed them that we wanted to be kept in the loop the entire time, but WE had to reach out to them to get any information and when we would reach out the salesman basically blew us off say “no update” but not providing any information on where they were in the process. After getting frustrated with the lack of communication, I asked to speak to the sales manager. He made excuses saying that “every customer is different, some want more information some don’t care” however, we told them we wanted to in the loop for everything. My boyfriend then started talked to him and was interrupting him and the situation escalated. At this point we asked to meet with the GM so I could get my deposit back. When we met with the GM he made excuses for their behavior saying things like “other customers have had great experiences” “he’s one of our best salesmen” and so on. Basically if you have any issues with customer service they will make excuses for each other and not care about what you’re feeling as a customer. I had heard bad things about their service before going in, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, but their reputation stands, horrible customer service!

Honestly I was a little worried bringing my vehicle there. It is a VW and it was always a pain getting it fixed at other shops. They got my car in quickly, fixed, quoted me a labor rate but since it didnt take as long they didnt charge me the full quote, washed my car and vacuumed it. I believe its under new management but I didnt have any problems. They communicated well with me and returned my call quickly. Did exactly what I asked for and didnt try to upsell me on anything.

They’ll keep your car for a week, and then call you the day it was supposed to be done and tell you it’ll be another week because apparently everyone is on vacation? ZERO!!!!Never again!! I would not even give one star. It has been nothing but a headache. The deal when I bought my car was I would get remote start installed on it. They called a few weeks later said they had parts. I dropped my car off they told me they had to drive it to fairbury they found someone there to install it. They would make sure and wash it and put gas in when I got it back. Ten days later they call and say sorry they cant put remote start in they brought my car back to me where I work dirty and out of gas and no remote start!! Second time check engine light came on they said probably he had cap just tighten in and they were scheduled out 8 days. So we waited.... In that time the passenger window stopped working. Took it in the next week they only had 2 days!!! Wow awesome right!?!? Well went to get it and the passenger door was scratched and a dent! So had it for 3 days took it back to shop to fix the dent they had 12 days to fix scratch in door!!! Had it back a week and the passenger window stopped working again!! Now they have had my car 16 days and not a word from them!!! My car is brand new bought off showroom floor!! Never again!!! I finally got my car back after 23 days!! And it still was not fixed right took it back in again!!

I been here twice so far to get my marker light fix and an oil change and the build is under construction (so its going to look very nice in the near future) I really liked the this place staff is very nice Jeremy as well as Titus. Only bad thing is the first time I set up an appointment (over the phone) when I got there it wasnt no record of my appointment but Jeremy got me and out within a reasonable amount of time, so I was happy. The next time I came in and told Jeremy about my marker light and asked about my brakes so he came outside to look at my car (he didnt have to) showed me how to turn my tire pressure light off as well he looked at my brake but when I came back in on my appointment date it still wasnt record of my appointment idk y this happen but Titus helped me out and took care of everything and got me out of there in about an hour and a half. Overall very nice place to get your car serviced at.

This place is the perfect example of what business practices not to follow. For a little background I do most of my own maintenance on my vehicles, and I used to be a car salesman for a number of years. I called in numerous times just trying to make an appointment (shouldve been the first red flag) and just kept getting bumped to voicemail. I called during business hours on a Friday, left a message, and didnt get a call back until Tuesday. I finally talked to someone to explain what I needed done, and the exact part I needed. Gave them the Vin talked to 3 different people, all whom ensured me that they had the appointment set and the right part ordered, and the part cost was $40 after tax. Low and behold the day of the appointment comes and I get a call saying that they somehow lost my appointment! After a short conversation they tell me the part was never ordered either, and they could have it the following Monday (now over a week). Again I want to give them the benifit so I say fine and while Im there why not knock out any oil change too for the convenience sake. So Monday, today, comes I take the car in for my appointment at 4. I live 45 minutes away, so its not schedule friendly. Im there for 30+ minutes before they even look at the car. They take it to the lift and stare at it for a bit, then proceed to tell me EXACTLY what I told them was wrong with it. Another 30 minutes go by and now they come tell me that they dont have the right part. An hour for them to figure this out. They do the oil change, and tell me they will get me an exact quote on the service I wanted done. Another 20 minutes and they come back with a quote over $450! This labor could be done in 30 minutes to an hour, and even though the part cost magically increased it still is nowhere near the 4.5 hours hof shop time they jumped to. I called another volkswagen dealership to double check and they quoted me less than half. At this point Im already mad, but I just wanna leave. This place had the audacity to charge me $100 for an oil change!!! This is on an 04 jetta! Then tell me its a great deal, and they included extra free services by looking at the car and telling me absolutely nothing. I am not usually one to leave a review on bad service, but this was hands down the worst service I have ever experienced. I will go out of my way to tell anyone and everyone to steer clear of this place. I hope the gm reads these, because this place is ran absolutely atrocious.

I went in to get my oil changed. They changed my oil and told me I needed new tires at less than 50000 miles right away and tried to pressure me into buying tires on the spot. I said no thanks and they told me one of my tires was very leaky. I never had a single problem with it before that day. I took it to a local shop I trust and they confirmed my suspicion-the tire had most likely been tampered with at the shop. Never went back to Grossinger again.

A few weeks ago, I left the dealership feeling very proud of my new car purchase. This was after being in leased vehicles for 6 years following my divorce, to be able to purchase to own a new 2019 VW Jetta for myself and my daughter. I actually had a car deal almost closed with another dealership in town. However, I needed to meet with my car salesman at Grossingers to finalize how turning in my leased vehicle would end. I was two months away from the end of the lease. During negotiation, if I simply turned in my leased vehicle, I would have 3 charges totaling $1,100.00. These were for a disposition fee, a charge for going 2,000 miles over the lease, and the remaining two car payments. The salesman negotiated that if I stayed with VW and went with a new Jetta (or other VW vehicle), these fees would be absorbed and I would NOT have to pay these charges. I would be eligible for a VW loyalty program. I asked him specifically, more than once, if I should wait 2 months so as not to have to pay the last two car payments. He said no. Those could be waived. As far as the over-mileage, I was told I would get dealership forgiveness since I would be buying from them again. (I was also told by a different sales person a couple months prior that I could receive dealership forgiveness on the over mileage if I purchased a new vehicle from the dealership when I had stopped in for a service call).Low and behold, on day 30 now of owning my car, I received an invoice from Corporate VW for over $800.00 to pay for the mileage overage fee and the remaining two car payments. When I was crunching my numbers and working with my credit union on the car loan, I determined I could put an additional $800 towards my down payment to help bring my monthly payment down. If I knew I was going to be hit with these charges after the fact, and still be expected to pay out, I would have just gone with the other car at the other dealership with an HONEST salesman who offered a very competitive deal for a comparable car. I also would have had the extra $800 in reserve in my savings to pay towards these final charges.When I called my salesman at Grossingers today to ask why I received this invoice, I was told I misunderstood him during negotiations and that he discounted the new car to offset these fees from the leased vehicle. Funny, the timing of finding this out, is now after Ive had the car for 30 days and have no recourse. Its also after receiving some email requests to complete a survey on my salesman which at the time, and happy with my car sale, I gave high remarks.I am a Project Manager and Bookkeeper by trade for a local equipment company for 10 years. I diligently review details that involve numbers, contracts, for my living etc. I did not misunderstand the salesman when he said on 3 different occasions, that the 3 fees involved with turning the leased car in would be absorbed in the sale of the new car.I was bold faced lied to. The sale of this car feels tainted to me now. This situation is causing unnecessary financial strain and duress.I have nothing good to say about the salesman who scammed me into this car sale. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone for a car sales from the VW department. Everything that would make a woman fearful or apprehensive of having a car salesman use sketchy sales tactics just to secure his own sale rings true here in every sense.Beyond shocked and disgusted how this sale actually has gone down.
