Using Martinez Cigars for our wedding was the best absolute best choice!! I had the opportunity to work with John and he was absolutely phenomenal. From the second I inquired, I knew I came to the right place. He was so sweet from our first conversation, patient, and professional. He really made me feel like I was part of the family. He showed up to our venue, did his thing and it was AMAZING. People are still talking about the cigar roller and the amazing experience it was. He made sure my husband had plenty of cigars to bring along on our honeymoon. Our relatives keep calling to ask if they can have some more. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we would use them again in a heartbeat!!

Was showed mad love. The place isnt really big but the service is great. Its one of those spots where you can chill all day. Great atmosphere. Wish I could have been there when they are rolling the cigars. I saw the video about this place and had to make it 1 of my stops. Was not disappointed. Dude hooked me up and even gave me a smaller hand rolled to smoke on the way out the door. Thanks again for making a brother feel welcomed. Really appreciate it

Walked about 30 min out of our way to check out this hand rolled cigar shop. It was absolutely hands down worth the walk. Customer service was top notch and the cigars are excellently priced. One of the best smokes I have had to date. If you enjoy a great cigar this is the place for it.

Don’t be fooled by the sign saying “wholesale only” they’re happy to sell you retail. There’s even a couple chairs there to sit and smoke. Fantastic hand rolled cigars from mild to full bodied.

Not bad at all. I stopped in and purchased a few well rolled cigars. Excellent. The place itself is okay, but as far as being a lounge and smoking, not recommended. There are only 2 chairs and the NYC pedestrian traffic can be a tad distracting. The cigars and staff are great.

Don’t personally like cigars but these guys know their stuff. Didn’t feel the place was clean enough and of course the smoke is thick. A lot of people were hanging out inside. Great to pickup and go but maybe they need to open a lounge.

I am an event planner in NYC and I hired Martinez Cigars to Hand Roll Cigars at a private event for 250 guests. They were wonderful and the guests loved it. They were very knowledgeable, on time, well priced and created a custom band for the cigars.

We strolled into this place and it was like heaven! The people were so friendly and kind. It was so much fun visiting, my buddy and I were there for a week and we went back multiple times.Great atmosphere and great people. Way better than the Cigar Inn! The cigars are cheap in price but the quality is never to be matched. Their 6 dollar cigar was far bettor than the Museum cigar I had at the Cigar Inn that was 45 dollars! I will definitely go back here every time Im in the city!!! I RECOMMEND YOU GO TOO!

They have 3 stations right there with artisans rolling cigars as you watch. I bought two boxes of cigars that were better than cigars Ive paid twice and more as much for. This place is everything you expect from a cigar shop and more. The staff is knowledgeable about the products and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality... Plus, you can sit and smoke these bad boys while watching a few guys roll cigars by hand only a few feet away... Awesome!

Ive been 3 times. The first I didnt know much and felt intimidated. They asked what I like and I didnt really know. They were very nice and accommodating and suggested a mild cigar, I bought it and left.The next two times I was a bit more confident and immediately felt like I was part of the family.You should go with a little time on you hands and hang out there for a bit. Jesus Martinez is the owner and is usually there. They have so much pride in the shop!

Ive been there 5 times. They are pricey, but I like fresh rolled cigars. Today, they told me they dont sell retail, and tried to send me to the bodega next door. All the while, there were guys smoking and a case full of cigars with prices listed. Wont go back.

I was staying at the Doubletree on W. 29th down the street and popped in. Jesus, the owner, was warm, helpful and friendly even though the place was packed with regulars on a Friday night. Smoked a terrific medium box press Flatiron #1. So I visited again the next morning and visited with Jesus and some regulars. Great family business. Handrolled right before your eyes. Do yourself a favor and go OUT of your way to visit Martinez.
